Locality
“Cape Paterson is a cape and a quiet seaside village located near the town of Wonthaggi, 132 kilometres south-east of Melbourne. It has a very laid back vibe with just a Tavern and General store (an additional small cafe opens in the summer season). It has 6 very different beaches with 2 local Life Saving Clubs. Its Bay Beach is hugely popular with its man made rock / swimming pool built by miners in the 60s. Its beaches are popular for swimming, snorkelling, surfing and surf and tock fishing.”

Point of Interest
“Run by local volunteers this little beach life saving club cafe is a great place to chat a local, grab an icy pole or meat pie. Only metres from the beautiful beach and rock pools you can wonder between the two. It's a simple little shop, located in a hall, but the walk to the beach with a drink in your hand is worth while.”

“Take a drive along the Coastal Road from Inverloch to Cape Paterson & make a few stops along the way at the look out points. Bring some climbing shoes so you can explore a little as well. Some stunning scenery!”
