  • Lovely quiet scenic retreat, just what we were after! The grounds are amazing and the little golf course is a cute extra and the hot tub made the weekend. It is in the middle if no where but there are pubs not too far away but you will have to drive. Izzi the dog was made to feel extremely welcome to and she also thoroughly enjoyed herself xxx

    Lucie2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • The pad is a lovely getaway for couples! Our host was amazing and helped us settle in, if you had any issues you can definitely message David. The garden is a definite 'must visit'. We enjoyed our boat ride and the hot tub is great at night. The eggs were very thoughtful and lovely, there's a good amount of fridge space if needed. Catering facilities are basic so it may be challenging to cook for more than a couple.

Swallows Farm is in Sykehouse, 7 miles from Doncaster. We love having hen parties, well behaved Stag weekends, but there is a higher bond on the Stag Weekends, please ask, We have a huge parking area right by the house. We are down a lane, with no near neighbours.
You can easily visit many of the larger towns from here, the racing at Doncaster and York makes a very popular outing, coach can be arranged there and back. Fab Shopping in Doncaster and Sheffield etc We are on the trans Pennine way, and walks from here are great, The canals are just near by. There is a party boat for the evening, which has a bar and dj.
We are not near any neighbours so no noise worries for a wonderful party, weddings can be held here, we have a wedding barn for hire.
  • Lovely house, surrounded my scenic views. Very friendly hosts who were very accommodating.

    Sarah2017-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • I would highly recommend this place to stay! We had such a wonderful weekend celebrating my friends hen do. The hosts made us feel so welcome from the start and went above and beyond throughout the weekend to make sure we had the perfect stay! Its is set in a beautiful location, set back from the village amongst the meadows and alpacas. The house and gardens are wonderful and we could make the most of the whole place and were encouraged to enjoy our selves as much as possible, it was sad to say goodbye!. Highly recommended!!

    emma2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely house, fitted in 22 people comfortably. Shaun was very helpful. Enjoyed walking with the Alpacas. Loved the hot tub, fantastic fun weekend. Hosts very relaxed so we were able to enjoy ourselves.

  • We're just back from a fantastic weekend. House was perfect, 23 of us from age 10 to 78 for my 50th birthday celebrations. Everything worked out perfectly and we had a brilliant party/BBQ on Saturday evening after a 7 mile circular walk. Hot tub came in handy too. Hosts were great, as were the alpacas. Really hope we get a chance to come again. x

    Lesley2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic place, I would definitely recommend this to anyone. Shaun and Anita were great hosts and made sure we had everything we needed on our trip. The house was lovely and in a great location and the amenities e.g. Hot tub were great. Thanks again to the hosts!

    Patrick2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Swallows farm house for a hen do, and had the most amazing time! There were over 20 of us but we easily all fit into the communal areas for dinner and games, and enjoyed the lovely garden too!!! Anita and Shaun were such accomodating hosts, nothing was too much trouble and they didn't mind us being a bit noisy which was perfect for a hen do! We went to York races which was about 50 mins in a minibus. Perfect hen do house! Thank you for a wonderful weekend. Xxx

  • I can totally recommend staying at Bruce and David's! They are the nicest hosts I ever had. You feel welcomed the minute you enter their cottage! Bruce & David gave me advice on which trains to get and what to visit in cities close to them. You can go to Leeds, Hull, York, etc. by train, so the location of the B&B is actually perfect! Also the spot is so lovely. The cottage is next to a canal (walking along the canal is really great!) and you only need 10 minutes to get to the center of the town Selby. The cottage was super clean. My room was really comfy and I had everything I needed. The bathroom is quite modern and really really clean, so that was amazing. Thank you so much Bruce and David for having me! It was a great time!

We provide a continental breakfast (gluten free on request) with lashings of good coffee and leaf teas. The village is quiet and has a real ale pub within walking distance.
We are happy for guests to use our small library and will happily provide access to our internet connection.
  • Kim and Richard were fantastic hosts. My son and I joined them during a trip to visit York. Although they are around 10 miles out of the city, they are only a few miles from a park and ride which was so easy to use to the city. Kim and Richard were great company and put every effort into making our stay as enjoyable as possible. They were full of ideas to fill our days and if you asked them about something local and they didn't know the answer they were quick to find out. Would use Kim and Richards very clean and comfortable home again, without doubt.

    Rachel2017-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had such an amazing bank holiday weekend staying at grange farm cottages. Everything was perfect. Claire and her family made us feel so welcome. She left us a card handmade by her children, Easter egg and wine. The cottage was immaculate and so homely. It has everything you could possibly need. Definitely looking on coming back. Claire and her husband couldn't be more welcoming and helpful as we didn't know the area. They went out their way to make sure everything was okay and we had something to do or had more information on places to go. We couldn't have had a more perfect time. Thanks.

We are a 5 minute walk away from two cafes (you can find the on (@oldbutchersfishlake and @cafebleufishlake) traditional country pubs (Hare & Houbds and the Old Anchor Inn), both of which served food and real ale plus a hair dressing salon. There are a number of pleasant walks, including a heritage trail.
  • A great location, private, quiet, great size rooms, large kitchen, bathroom etc. Needed a bit of tlc in places but an adequate place to stay, good value. Lovely host, great communication.

  • Lovely place!

    Aeri2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • The bungalow was spacious and light. Basic furniture but comfy. Good sized enclosed garden for our small dog so good for small children too. Lots of public footpaths around. There's no village shop but Thorne is less than 10 minutes away and has good amenities so not really a problem. Jeremy checked in regularly by email to make sure we were happy.

    Paula2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Jeremy's place is clean and tidy. As soon as we opened the door it felt very homely as if your walking through your own front door. Very quiet neighbourhood, nice and rural. Will be back next time we are in the area. Thanks again.

    Sophie2017-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Good stay. There is no wifi so please be advised of this.

    Rebecca2017-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Simple but spatious accommodation. Clean with bedding, towels & kitchen equipment (although needed tea spoons). Good for family of 3-4. Great that we could bring our dog too. Would recommend a visit to Hare & Hounds pub within walking distance.

    Rachael2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed for 2 nights in this spacious bungalow which is located in a lovely little village 10 minutes from Thorne! Great communication from the hosts and provided all the essentials, Thanks again!

Airy bedroom with bathroom (shared only if other guests otherwise sole use) and shared access to kitchen and living spaces in quiet village. Desk, quick internet, off street parking, comfy mattress topper Great discounts for longer stays! Friendly clean and relaxed household Brilliant pub chippy and small store. Great road links to York, Leeds, Doncaster and Hull. Direct bus to Leeds and Selby.
A modern, new build house with lots of facilities and space for guests.
Family neighborhood with well used park on the estate.
  • This a very comfortable stay with an excellent welcome and hospitality from Eppie and Gareth - a friendly couple. The location is a couple of west miles from Selby, just s stretch beyond walking at night to the house from there. (Part of the road is unlit and at national speed limit.) Anyway Eppie advised its easy to get a taxi - else a car is needed . This place was brilliant value and perfectly appointed for our overnight stay There is a pub within walking distance (the Fox). Very well equipped, having use of the modern kitchen was very conveneint for a spot of breakfast. Sleeping and bathroonm - perfect too. Brilliant all round.

    Gray2017-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed with Eppie and Gareth for about a total of 8/9 weeks due to working in the area. They’re both wonderful people and their house is prefect to stay whether you’re just visiting or staying a few weeks. I cannot thank them enough for their genuine kindness and for making my stay as good as I hoped. Thanks again!

    Michael2017-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Eppie and Gareth are excellent hosts. They did accept over reservation one day before arrival without any issues (Previous host canceled reservation). House is extremely cosy and clean as well as area around. It's slightly away but if you come by car it doesn't matter. Personally me, prefer to drive extra to stay at this place. We were coming for music festival in Leeds so guys offered us a late check-in to avoid spending time by driving back-and-forward. They were really helpful. Without doubts - best place we ever stayed. Definitely, we will stay here again.

    Oleksii2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Eppie and Gareth's house for 4 nights whilst working locally in the area. Absolutely lovely couple who are very welcoming. Beautiful and clean house. Would 100% recommend staying there.

  • The Cobbles was a wonderful place to stay while in Howden! We loved the location, the room, the wine shop and the town. Sean was a great host to us, making us feel right at home. We will be back someday!

    Brytann2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful modern apartment and absolutely spotless. Really enjoyed my stay. Thank you Sean.

    Jonny2017-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about this place is fabulous. Sean went out of his way to help prior to our arrival. The staff in the building were genuinely lovely, helpful people. I sat and ate and drank with locals on Friday night and they couldn't have made me feel more welcome. The apartment is beautifully designed and decorated. The view of the minster tower and red roofs made it special. In fact Howden felt like a mini-York but more special because of its size. I would highly recommend the apartment to anyone who wants peace and quiet, enjoys good food and wine and great cafes. Howden is a little piece of heaven in East Yorkshire. Am so glad I stayed here instead of busy, bustling York.

    Jackie2016-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • I would, without hesitation, recommend Sean’s property!

    Gary2017-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Sean was an excellent host, very helpful all round including top wine recommendations. High quality apartment, very tastefully decorated, comfy and what's not to love about being over an interesting wine shop/bar. Never been to Howden before and it is a really nice little town. Overall highly recommend.

    Kath2016-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful apartment with everything you need. Cosy, modern, stylish. The area surrounding has pubs, bistro, supermarket, restaurants and secure parking. In the morning we went to the Bishops Manor, which is an 11th century monument. There was hosting of a lovely Winter Artisan Market.

  • We only needed a bed for the night but what an excellent alternative to nearby hotels. Peace, quiet, surrounded by wildlife and a comfy pod, very well thought out. The homegrown fruit was a nice touch too.

    John2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our Pod! Beautifully thought out, comfortably furnished and fun. Spotlessly clean. Great to feel really part of the countryside.

    Sally2015-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • The vanilla pod was great! My friend and I needed a little break and it was perfect. It was away from any hustle and bustle, but not far from amenities should we need them. The surrounding countryside suited us for walking and the local pub did great food. Carol our host was very accommodating and helpful! We shall definitely revisit.

    Lucy2015-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Carol was a lovely host and met us at the Station when we arrived. We loved the Vanilla Pod, although compact, it was perfect for our stay and we were provided with fruit and milk, tea and coffee. The little pod a few yards away had all we needed for making a meal, plus and the shower & toilet as well as the bonus of a washing machine. Everything was very clean and we were very happy with the accommodation. It was all set in a lovely rural and tranquil background. We would highly recommend a stay here and would stay again if in the area. The rail station was only 20 mins walk away and it was a 30 mins journey to York. Carol was very accommodating and excellent host.

    Ann & Errol2016-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • The Pod is exactly how they are described on this site, what it doesn't say is how friendly and helpful Carol and her family are. The other points for me were how quiet it was and how easy it was to get back on to the M62. There is a very good pub for food just down the road

    malcolm2016-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fabulous time at the pod, carol was very helpful providing information for us.

    Gwen2015-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • We loved it here! Didn't get chance to meet carol as we went out a lot but her son was very welcoming. We enjoyed it that much that we had to stay an extra night! All the facilities were clean and well equipped with a toaster, microwave, kettle, fridge and cutlery. Hope to return soon, definitely recommended.

  • Carol and her family have build amazing building together. I've only stayed in Brind for two nights. The first night I slept in pink pod. A very cosy, warm and beautifully build building. I woke up to the sound of pigs, cows and birds. It's such a quiet and relaxing area. The second night, Carol was so sweet to let me use the bigger cottage since I needed wifi and the pod doesn't have any. Great kitchen, again very warm and overall good facilities! I have literally nothing to bad to say about my stay here. Only tip for people travelling alone without a car like me: it is quite far from the village Howden or the city York. Carol let me borrow a bike which was amazing but be aware that the pod is in a remote area.

And they gave us detailed and informative suggestions about transportation to York city center and provided us with an interesting route to visit York. • We were visiting Yorkshire for a bit family and friends event. After an absolutely brilliant day with everyone at York Races, it was only a short drive back to stay in Wistow. This property was fabulous, it was perfect for us. It had a lovely open plan living area on the ground floor, then upstairs was also lovely with a modern bathroom and a large bedroom. The place was bright (so may windows), spacious and spotlessly clean. The location of the property was also great, it’s in a village at the end of a very quiet & peaceful lane – we both slept really well, which was amazing for a very, very light sleeper. We will definitely be back here again.

  • The apartment is very spacious, beautiful garden and lovely quiet village to wander around with shops and restaurants around a 10mins drive away. we had a really lovely stay and would definitely recommend and use again.

  • I was made to feel welcome from the offset, Nasir popped over for a chat and was incredibly accommodating. The description and pictures matched reality perfectly. The place is a great spot for a very relaxing an overnight either business or pleasure and I would definitely stay again.

    Henry2016-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • For us, this was an ideal overnight location for a family event in nearby Selby. Nasir anticipated that satnav may not be totally accurate, and he helped to guide us to his home. It is set off the main road and down a drive way. The accommodation is of a high standard and the kitchen enables guests to cook for themselves , if required . The carton of milk in the fridge & supply of tea/coffee was very welcome for that first cuppa after a long journey.

  • lovely little place - and excellent value especially compared to Hotel prices! Had to rush to meet checkout deadline on the Sunday morning, but would definitely consider returning next time we're in the area!

Relaxing guestroom in a quiet location. Within walking distance to a tearoom and Italian restaurant.
The old market town of Howden is dominated by its beautiful minster, which leads to a beautifully preserved Georgian town centre with narrow cobbled streets and restored buildings. Howden was once the centre of a vast ecclesiastical establishment belonging to the Prince Bishops of Durham and the Minster, although more modest than Yorkshire's other minsters, is still a beautiful building, with some superb stained glass windows. The church is still very much in use but after the Dissolution of the Monasteries in 1540 the Chancel and Chapter House fell into ruin. Today their remains, set in charming gardens, add to the overall charm of the place. If you are feeling strong, the 135ft climb up Bishop Skirlaw's Tower in the Minster is rewarded by lovely views of the town and surrounding countryside. The Bishop's Manor House, the Fruit House and the Chapter House all add to Howden's early heritage. Walk through Howden's narrow streets to admire its fine Georgian architecture, as well as some attractive shops, historic coaching inns and charming tea rooms, and a small market which takes place each Friday. One of Howden's most famous residents was Neville Shute. Better known as the author of 'A Town Like Alice', Shute was also a pioneering aeronautical engineer and while living at Howden, helped to build the R100 Airship. Just outside Howden, at Breighton Aerodrome is the Real Aeroplane Museum, which tells the history of flight through the work of Yorkshire's many aviation pioneers such as Shute, and has a collection of over 40 flying machines. Visit on one of the summer fly-in days when visiting aircraft triple the number of planes that can be seen there. On the outskirts of town Howden Marsh is a lovely place for a quiet stroll, with a lake and small islands which have become a habitat for birds and wildlife.

  • It was fantastic to spend two nights here. It is a very quiet and lovely place. It was perfect for us, a family with two kids (aged 1 and 4). Everything was superclean, modern and ready at our arrival. Claire's family was very welcoming and friendly.

  • A wonderful, peaceful cottage in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. The cottage was clean, well equipped and very comfortable. A short drive to York and just around the corner from the historic town of Howden. Claire was a great host, very helpful and stocked up the cottage with milk, teas and ginger biscuits!

    Buzz2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • What a treat to find that Claire had left milk, biscuits, crisps & Prosecco! Can highly recommend staying in Annabel’s Abode.

    Julie2017-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • A very cozy barn conversion that was perfect for our family of four. The farm is active and Graham can be seen on his tractor working which was extra special for my kids who love farms and tractors! The converted barn house was fully equipped, had everything we needed and the kids loved having a new home for a week. Claire and Graham are extremely welcoming as is Rusty the dog and they were all very approachable. The amount we saved using AirBnB over a traditional hotel was excellent and I can only recommend staying in Annabel's Abode.

  • Willow Lodge was a beautiful, cosy cottage with amazing views of the garden. We were able to use the swimming pool several times during our stay and Penny walked us through how to use it and the sauna. Its within walking distance to a shop and we visited the local pub for a New Years Day lunch. The portions were generous and the service impeccable. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to get away and relax for a couple of days.

  • We had a wonderful time at Willow Lodge. Absolutely beautiful place and the pool was such a great bonus feature! We shall definitely be returning at some point in the future. Thank you Penny and Keith, it was fab! (And my apologies again about the mix up with patio key, we shall get it sent back to you first thing tomorrow

  • We had a great time at Willow Lodge. We were staying to visit friends who lived in Beverley but also wanted to visit York, and this was a great location in between. The village is lovely and we were very pleased with the facilities at Willow Lodge and with the amount of thought and effort Penny had put into making it a really pleasant place to stay. It was fantastic having use of the swimming pool and the entire flat was very clean and well equipped. We would highly recommend this property and plan to visit again.

  • We had a lovely couple of nights in the cottage, having use of the pool and conservatory was great for our 14month old son. York is really easy to get to from the cottage via the park and ride. The Yorkshire sculpture park was also a highlight.

  • Very enjoyable stay accommodation very good swimming pool superb Location, perfect blend between beautiful countryside and easy access to York (especially the Outlet Centre great bargains to be had) The local pubs are pretty good too. Penny the host very welcoming no complaints will be more than happy to stay again.

  • Our stay at Willow Lodge was exactly what we needed - Penny was friendly and welcoming and particularly understanding even though we ended up arriving over 3 hours later than planned, because of car trouble. The Lodge is cosy and clean and use of the pool and sauna is a great benefit. We had everything we needed for a relaxing couple of days away. Bubworth is a lovely village and we made the most of the pub, deli and Indian takeaway/restaurant. We would love to stay again!

Bliss! York is a short journey away, easily reached by train, bus or car.
Newly refurbished double bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette in fully private annexe. Access to large, light sitting room in main house (private) via French doors. Patio area with pond, BBQ, garden furniture. Beautiful gardens of just under 2 acres. River Derwent to the south and All Saints' Church (with regular donging bells!) to the west. Tennis court (needing a bit of attention) and fantastic village amenities.
Bubwith is a lovely English village at the heart of Yorkshire. Although a small village we have an award winning butchers, fantastic deli (Jug and Bottle) with a huge range of gins and wines, a convenience store and Post Office, scrumptious Indian Takeaway, hairdressers and village pub (White Swan) with an extensive menu of reasonably priced home-cooked food. What more could you want!
  • Andrew was consistently very helpful and friendly both when booking and during the stay. The annexe was great with everything needed, self-contained and in such beautiful grounds. The check-in was very flexible and would definitely book there again!

  • I had such a lovely stay in Andrew and Stew’s beautiful annex! It is the perfect base for exploring Yorkshire ❤️

  • The Elms is a gorgeous property in a couple of acres of beautiful gardens in a quiet area. The accommodation is fresh, clean and newly decorated. It has a very comfortable bed, lovely bed linen and high quality towels. The sitting room is bright and airy and overlooks the garden. With an open fire, books and games it is a perfect space to relax. The location was perfect for our work in Hull and Leeds but is also ideal for a trip to York. We had a lovely supper at the local pub The White Swan which is a 5 minute walk and on the second evening enjoyed a meal at The Drover's Arms less than 10 minutes by car. Andy and Stew responded very quickly to messages both before and during our stay and gave us a big smiley warm welcome. We really enjoyed staying at The Elms and highly recommend.

    Siobhan2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • The Elms is just perfect. Secluded in terms of distance from the city and in 2 acres of private ground to explore, yet easily accessible by car or bus and with all you need in the picturesque village. Accommodation is stylish and extremely comfortable, the bed is just a dream, and the lounge room just kind of becomes your own- it's just right. Cool books, games and an honesty cocktail bar, an open fire, comfy sofas and french doors onto the huge patio garden with owls hooting as you stand there gazing at the stars. Our hosts were there when you needed anything and more than happy to chat about their garden or house projects- lovely people. The village has a lovely pub with very generously portioned delicious food, an exquisite deli/wine and spirits shop, a take away and general store/ post office. There are short and long walks on your doorstep, an ancient church and a really good butcher-baker. Take my advice and book in, The Elms is an absolute delight and not only will we be back but I'm sending my in-laws there just to get brownie points. Thanks Andrew for letting us stay at your lovely home.

  • This airbnb was excellent. We had so many issues getting in to bubwith with the trains and buses, Andrew has been very kind and helpful, helping us to find the appropriate transport to arrive safe and sound! The room was very comfortable and cozy! Such a nice experience!

  • Lovely, friendly host and cute, clean and cosy accommodation

    Alicia2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very enjoyable short break. A lovely, cozy property in a beautiful setting. The kitchen area is quite limited so you need to be well organised if you plan to eat in, but that doesn't at all detract from the place ... we ate our meal in a candlelit sitting room with a good bottle of wine; lovely memories! There are great walks all around + the village is so quiet.

    Mark2017-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Best hosts in the world. My partner and I had an amazing time. Andy and Stew made sure we had everything we needed from a little welcome package to clean towels and dishes. The location is a cute little town with a shop, post office and pub. We had a car so getting to York and surrounding regions were easy. The room and sitting area had a very retro chic vibe. Everything was clean and cozy. It was a nice space to return to and crash after spending the day exploring towns. Would recommend this place to anyone who wants a perfect mix of country and city.

A stunning studio in the village of Riccall, with its own modern kitchen and bathroom. Just 8 miles from the beautiful, historic city of York, Riccall contains everything you might want for your break away, with three restaurants, two pubs, a Post Office, tearoom and shop but it is also a perfect base for easy access to York; buses leave from the end of the road every 15 minutes or so. Stop at the Designer Outlet en-route, where the shopping experience draws people from all over the country.
A combination of sleek modern with quirky vintage, 'The Snug' offers the perfect getaway. Your own private studio, 'The Snug' has its own perfectly formed and well equipped kitchen with oven/hob, washer/dryer, welcome basket with breakfast items, including bread, butter, cereal, delicious homemade flapjack, tea/coffee/hot chocolate, along with milk/juice/bottled water in the fridge. Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel are provided in the modern bathroom, complete with powerful 'rain' shower. Freshly laundered towels, cosy bedding, blankets and robes will be ready for your arrival. Free Wifi is available throughout your stay. Choose from a variety of DVDs or Freeview is available through Amazon Fire. The kingsize sofa bed with mattress topper has been declared super-comfy by visitors to 'The Snug'. 'The Snug' is a chic extension to the old Station Master's House (dating back to the 1860s) where we live; the old East Coast Mainline that was behind the house is now the road to York. The cycle track (to York or Selby) is also close by and wonderful for a lovely walk too.
The village is easily accessed via the major road networks so getting here will be no problem. You can eat in (or we can recommend takeaways if desired), enjoy a meal in our village (our favourites are the deliciously authentic Italian restaurant or Indian restaurant in a converted Mill) or take a bus into York (they run regularly and the last bus leaves York after 11 so plenty of time for wining and dining!) York has an incredible wealth of things to see and do all year round, with the ancient walled centre offering more attractions per square mile than any other UK destination.
  • We had a lovely time at The Snug for a weekend visit to York. Stylish and homely with lots of thoughtful things from Claire including a breakfast hamper. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to stay! Also perfect recommendation for food at Per Bacco which was just over a five minute walk away. Thanks again!

    Louisa2017-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • One of the best BNB we ever been, everything clean and tidy, Claire is precise with all information; the place was perfect, modern and glamour! She gave us an extra; she has a fridge with all the stuff for breakfast! Cosy and comfortable, a proper SNUG to us! We really really recommend it!

    Davide2017-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Claire is a wonderful host and 'the snug' was perfect for us. It is a self-contained studio flat with it's own modern bathroom and kitchen. The sofa bed was remarkably comfy and the flat was very clean. It's exceptionally well-equipped with lots of thoughtful touches. The breakfast hamper was great with fresh milk and orange juice in the fridge. Claire's homemade marmalade was delicious!

    Sian2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • I had a lovely stay in the Snug, Claire made me feel really welcome and I love all the vintage touches. I had everything I needed, the space was private but Claire was just next door if I needed anything. I was comfortable here, and the location for me was great for what I needed. A short drive to the Designer Outlet and A64, there is a bus into York that takes about half an hour, although I ended up driving it was nice to have the bus as an option. I hope to stay again. Oh and the flapjack was delicious!

    Louise2017-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We were astounded by how nice The Snug was. Claire as a host was second to none, and made us feel very very welcome. Nice little touches like the Xmas card made our stay absolutely awesome. Would highly recommend. We will be back! Thank you once again.

  • We had a fantastic stay at the snug. It had lots of personal touches and was very comfortable. Perfect for a mini break to York which is only 30 minutes away by bus. We cannot recommend the Snug enough. Thank you Claire for making us feel so welcome. :)

  • We had a really lovely stay at the Snug! Claire was the perfect host, letting us check in earlier and giving us a huge number of recommendations for things to do in York and places to eat both in Riccall and in York. Location was good, buses stop nearby and run every 15mins, taking around half an hour to get into York. The last bus leaves York at around midnight so there's plenty of time in to go for dinner and for a drink. The Snug was perfectly clean with lots of really lovely little touches from Claire, like a breakfast hamper (the flapjack is legendary). Would really recommend!
