Café
“This traditional shop serves up a delicious bowl of Bak Kut Teh, or pork bone soup, for the uninitiated. While Bak Kut Teh usually comes in two variations (the peppery Teochew style, or the Klang herbal version), this shop offers the latter. The pork ribs are tender and infused with the herbal flavours that have been simmered in the soup for hours. We recommend adding some beancurd skin that complements the soup extremely well!”

“Another 24-hours dim-sum in Geylang. Try the Salted Egg Yolk Custard Buns (Liu Sha Bao). *WARNING : Slowly break up the bun & do not spill the fluid filling within. Do not bite immediately into it, it would be scalding hot.”

“Geylang's famous beef kway teow noodle shop is great to go to for local food. The beef noodles comes to share so best to go in a pair or better with more!”

“Touted as the best Beef 'Kway Teow' in Singapore, this noodle dish is doused in rich and thick beef gravy, mixed with thick slices of tender beef. Hands down one of our favourite dishes around! The same hawker centre also serves up an amazing frog leg porridge cooked in a mini claypot in two variations, a spicy version with dried chilli and dark soy sauce, or the sweeter version of ginger and spring onion. We recommend the spicy version if you’re a fan of spice!”

“LEONG KEE ( KLANG ) BAK KUT TEH. Personally, I find the stewed mutton soup here the best... even when compared with the ones I've had in m'sia & indonesia. This eatery came all the way from Klang, is located on Geylang Road and is one of the few Singapore places that serves its meat in a claypot.”
