“This large and complete mall is right in the city centre and houses a good selection of shops of high-end brands and entertainment outlets. There’s a supermarket, department store, home improvement depots, health and beauty centres, ATM and money changers, a supporting facilities ensuring convenience for shoppers. You’ll need to cross between the two wings - east and west - in order to browse through its vast collection. It also houses Blitzmegaplex, Indonesia’s largest cinema, on its ground level. Kids will love its play land and game arcade, as well as the mall’s iconic Dancing Fountain Show, which presents an hourly spectacle of multicolour-lit spouts dancing to symphony. ”

Museum
“You cannot visit Jakarta and not visit the National Museum. Dating from 1862, it’s one of the best in the region with incredible ancient statues, Dayak puppets and a wealth of textiles. A new wing documents the origin of humankind in Indonesia over four floors and don’t miss the treasures of Central Java: a quite staggering collection of gold jewelry and trinkets. English language tours are free and run on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 & 13:30 and are highly recommended if your Indonesian is a tad rusty.”

Shopping Centre
“One of the most popular mall in the heart of Jakarta. It shows a high end design, clean and tidy, and large and spacious hall. Top branded shops dominate this mall, making it as a middle-up class segment. You will love either sight seeing, shopping, or enjoy foodie favorite here. Very nice decorations as well as live performance during special moments or annual celebrations will make all visitors happy to come. Another thing that I like, it is easy by walking to cross the street to Plaza Senayan, another earlier high class mall at the opposite of Senayan City.”

“I would say it's one of the most complete mall in Jakarta and located nearby. Here's my typical rundown when I visit the mall with friends: - Grab brunch in Union or Monolog - If I want a full lunch, then I'd visit Remboelan - a restaurant that offers Indonesian local foods - Visit some local clothing store (CottonInk) or check-out for high quality affordable glass frames at Bridges EyeWear - Check out some books in Kinokuniya and grab Starbucks before I go back home. If I still have time, I'd visit Sephora at B1 Sogo and visit the local furniture shop right besides it. ”

Church
“The mighty cathedral stands tall at the heart of the city, boasting tall spires and impressive neo-gothic architecture. Built during the colonial era, many of the cathedral’s materials and pieces of furniture are sourced from the Netherlands, including its massive pipe organ and ornate main altar. One of the spires also serves as a museum that shows Catholic relics. It was built in 1901 to replace an earlier church. Look for stained-glass features. It is a must visit religious place in Jakarta”

“Plaza Senayan offers a well-rounded collection of shops that mostly cater to the modern lifestyle with many international luxury brands. With its great selection of restaurants, it is a favourite go-to place for lunch among business people in Central Jakarta. Although Plaza Senayan might not be large if compared to Jakarta’s other grand malls, it does feature a refined, high-class appeal.”
