This cabaña is situated on the boarder of this beautiful beach. It has electricity and running hot and cold water and a fridge. There are two stores a five minute walk away.
There are no close neighbors. Bring earplugs if the sound of the waves keep you awake. The space has one double bed upstairs in the loft.
This cabaña is right off the beach.
  • All good with us. We loved this place. Would totally stay here again. Matteo was the best possible host.

  • Pedro’s Cabaña Del Medio is perfectly placed directly on the beach. If you enjoy cooking and bring most all of your supplies to include food, alcohol, headlights, LED candles, etc. - you’re all set! We purchased fresh fish from the local fishermen and visited the two local tiendas for basics - local yard eggs, jalapeños, onions, garlic, etc. We took the panga and visited Yelapa for a day trip. We enjoyed kayaking several days, exploring the surrounding area and visiting with friends and new acquaintances. Simple Pleasures...Placeres Simples You’ll love it here...we always do...❤️ Already planning our return...👏🥂🌞

  • We stayed for three nights before we went to an all-inclusive in PV and didn't want to leave! Our second stay here was better than the frst! Already planning our return! This is not for everyone, but for the adventurous, it's a perfect vacation from the world!

  • My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Pedro's place. The location is incredible and Mateo is a fantastic host that communicates clearly and consistently and is always available. The only downside of our stay was the weather (wind and rain) which limited our ability to enjoy the beach and other natural beauty in Pizota.

    Jordan2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Living so close to nature was an absolute pleasure, hearing the waves crash at night was incredible. The bed in the loft was super comfy, the shower was hot and had great pressure. Mateo, the co-host was amazing, putting the super in super-host. He showed us ‘downtown’ and was always ready to help when needed. Mateo introduced us to a beautiful local woman who cooked marvellous daily lunches for us. We unfortunately didn’t bring as many groceries as we should have but she was able to supplement ingredients we were lacking. On occasion the noise and lights from the rental property just above and behind were noticeable. In addition, tourists come through daily from 12pm to 4pm and set up nearby. Aside from that it was an idyllic vacation. I highly recommend it.

  • It's a lovely spacious, open palapa right on one of the beaches of a quiet small fishing village, it's peaceful, rustic and authentic, Mateo was very friendly and helped us with our luggage, getting us grocery and a bottle of mezcal. We enjoyed looking at the stars, watching the waves, and heading out on the kayak, we saw whales, mobulas and dolphins. The waves can get very big and loud, then it's best to launch the kayak from the main beach of the village, it also gets pretty damp so bring sealable plastic bags for storing the electronics.

    Daishu2019-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures don’t do this place justice, it is absolute gorgeous!! Make sure you grab some groceries before you come, there’s a little store that had simple things and kind of depended on the day of what they had but we mostly went there to get beer and cookies! Falling asleep to the ocean waves crash down was no problem for us, some nights they were louder than others. Saw two whales right out front and we brought our fishing pole and caught a lot of fish and made tacos... gave the pole to one of the local kids who hung out with us a few days. And if you ask the tours that come during the day for some food they will probably give you some :)

The Green Room has side and back jungle views and an ocean view from the front and the terrace. (There is a second room on this floor as well). The en suite bathroom is large, tiled and has plenty of hot water. The terrace extends across both bedrooms and features wonderful views of Banderas Bay and the lovely beach below the house. All windows have screens, and the room has a ceiling fan. A shared outdor kitchen is located between the bedrooms. A single bed serves as your sofa as well.
There are three flights of cement and cobblestone stairs to the bedroom(s). Two bedrooms are available, both with electricity, internet, and each has it's own large, tiled private bath with hot water. Bedroom(s) contain some owner's items. Both rooms have comfortable queen beds and quality linens. Towels are provided. Bedroom(s) have glassed windows with screens., a sliding glass door with screen and a ceiling fan. The kitchen is located between the rooms and is outside, shared. There is a stove with oven, refrigerator, slow cooker, microwave, drip coffee maker and china, utensils and cookware. Shared by the bedrooms is an expansive terrace, tiled, with a small table and deck chairs. Wifi is available, however cell phone service is spotty to non-existent.
Pizota is a small fishing village of approximately 25 families. It has 2 tiendas (small stores) where you can buy basic food items including fresh vegetables, fruits, water, beer soda, wine or raicilla (a local tequila-like alcohol made from a variety of agave). There is no restaurant in Pizota. Juanita will serve various sandwiches from her casa and Ophelia at the tienda will cook basic fare and serve near the beach upon request. There is no menu available, nor are prices posted. It is suggested you obtain the cost before committing to a meal. It's recommended that you shop in Puerto Vallarta for meats and anything that you need outside of basic food items
  • I agree with so many of the previous reviews about this being a great place to get away and enjoy the sun and sea. The people are wonderful and Mateo, the onsite host, couldn't have been more efficient and helpful. Being in our seventies, initially I was somewhat hesitant (beach landing, short walk to house on next beach over trail, etc), but Mateo and crew were there to meet water taxi and carried ALL our bags and groceries to the house. Prior to our booking, we had great communication with the host, Dennis. We certainly plan to b e back.

    Pizota Beach, Jalisco, Mexico

Enjoy the enchanting beachfront palapa of Casa de Dos Mulas - soaring thatched roof & open air views of Banderas Bay, SW of Puerto Vallarta, amidst the embrace of jungle flora in the Los Chonchos eco-preserve. Secluded, accessible only by boat, this romantic hide-away offers relaxation, inspiration & adventure. Watch whales, manta rays, dolphins, birds & butterflies from the privacy of your beachside deck. Kayak, fish, snorkel or hike from our 3 beautiful beaches.
Close to Puerto Vallarta and Yelapa, in the municipality of Cabo Corrientes, in the state of Jalisco, Mexico, this well equipped, beautifully appointed palapa on Banderas Bay sleeps two to four people comfortably, and a fifth person on the daybed in the living room. Filled with local artisan crafted furnishings, the palapa includes a fully equipped kitchen, great room, dining table, open decks, two separate bedrooms with queen- and full-size beds, and one bathroom. Whether watching the ocean, taking in the amazing thatched roof, or admiring the wildlife, the Dos Mulas palapa in a lovely eco preserve allows you to unplug from your every day stress and relax. Even the water taxi ride is part of the vacation, leaving Boca de Tomatlan to Los Chonchos twice a day: 9am and 3pm; and leaving Chonchos to Boca at 11am and 5pm. Allow 45-90 minutes depending on size of boat and smoothness of the sea. There are no roads to this eco village, so the life here unfolds differently than in a town or city. Ideal for a honeymoon, a family vacation or a get-away with best friends. Most people bring groceries from Puerto Vallarta. Our taxi driver Jesus will pick you up at the airport, take you to your hotel, escort you to the markets, and take you to Boca de Tomatlan to catch the water taxi. We recommend buying fresh corn tortillas in Boca. You can buy additional groceries in nearby Chimo, a fishing village accessible by foot or water taxi. If you would enjoy dining out, you can go to Arturo’s restaurant in Chimo—he is the fisherman and proprietor & the food is delicious! We also recommend taking advantage of the restaurant at Los Chonchos. Meals need to be arranged and paid for prior to arrival so that the chef can plan, purchase and carry ingredients in to Chonchos, where he prepares the meals—it’s like having a private chef! The menu is based on what is in season and is often the fresh catch of the day. Three meals per day cost $110 per couple or it can be priced by meal per person. You can always buy a meal in advance, and then talk to Alfonso at your meal about planning additional meals. More details available upon booking. Commonly heard is: the cuisine, ambience and convenience are worth every penny! Minimum booking is 2 nights. Maximum booking is 30 days. A 15% discount applies when you stay for a week. A 25% discount applies when you stay for a month. $5 per night per person will be added if more than 2 guests book to cover extra cleaning, bottled water, propane & laundry. Check in is at 3pm. If you arrive on the early water taxi, you can hang out on the beach or schedule lunch at the restaurant. If the palapa is ready early, the staff will check you in. Check out time is 10:30am. You can hang out on the beach or restaurant and then take the 11am or 5pm water taxi back to Boca de Tomatlan. It is highly recommended to stay in Puerto Vallarta the night you arrive. Have a nice dinner, shop for groceries and get a good night’s rest. Then, come to Los Chonchos the next day. In the winter, the water may be rough and you need to account for the potential of a half day of travel. The same for leaving Los Chonchos. If the water is too rough for the water taxi to land, they will take you to the next village over, which is Chimo. There, the villagers will help you & carry your luggage on their mules and they will take you to Dos Mulas. In the winter, it is often safer to book a night in Puerto Vallarta on your way home, in case the unexpected occurs due to the weather and ocean conditions in the Bay.
Los Chonchos is an eco-preserve situated south of Puerto Vallerta in a protected 40 acres of jungle. There are only 20 palapas in this beautiful, untouched area of Mexico. There are three amazing beaches, starting with the small cove the water taxi lands on, the pebble beach on which sits Casa de Dos Mulas, and the long beach just 5 minutes walk (as shown in the pictures) from the palapa. You are likely to be the only one on the beach! Keep to yourself, or join the other visitors and inhabitants twice a day as the water taxi visits, help the new visitors off the taxi, and share the news of the day - it is entirely up to you! Walk to Chimo or hop onto the water taxi for a 5-min ride, for seafood, groceries and cookies. You can also take the water taxi to Pizoto for winter surfing, or Yelapa for hiking to waterfalls or eating at restaurants.
  • A wonderful, magical and incredible place, the community of Chonchos and its two private beaches make the only thing you want is that the holidays never end. The cabin has everything you need to make your stay as relaxed as possible. The hospitality and attentions were the best, we have no doubt that we will return to Casa Dos Mulas. It was a simply unforgettable trip!

    Arnoldo2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Dos Mulas was an amazing time, the location and the peace and quiet that goes with it is fantastic. There is a lot of "toys" for the beach, we particularly enjoyed using the beach mats and sunshade. Highlights from the palapa were laying on the bed on the terrace spotting whales breaking the water, and the hammocks below by the rocks. We were a bit unlucky that it was colder than usual, which meant there was almost no fish to see when we went snorkeling. We'll be back for sure.

    Michael2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • We love Pamela's place. The palapa had everything we need and the views of the ocean are beautiful. Saw whales, and snorkeled, swam, and kayaked. We highly recommend the wonderful vacation place on the beach

    Maude2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • So relaxing, a beautiful place to be “off the grid”. The locals who work around there are pleasant, friendly & helpful & went above and beyond to accommodate us! Waves...birds...beach...what could be better than that?!

    Sha2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • We have stayed at this house 3 times before and absolutly love it. The location could not be better, and the house is decorated with many details and love. It is well equipped. We recommend it very much.

    Johanna2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • The Palapa was beautiful. So relaxing. Perfect spot on your own beach. The experience was amazing! Cannot wait to go back.

    Jaime2019-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • Heaven on earth....this place is truly magical. If you are looking for an escape away from the hustle & grind of daily life & want to be immersed in nature this is the place!!!! It has access to beautiful beaches, hikes, the jungle, chimo & more...One of my favorite things to do is swing in the hammock watching the waves & butterflies fly past & do nothing for hours (or days ;)

    Caitlin2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • What a magical little place! If you're looking for a private, off the grid, beach hideaway you should stop looking - because this is it! Most of the time we felt like the only ones there. So quiet and peaceful, only the sounds of the ocean and birds around you. Everyone we met there, staff and locals, were very friendly. We had one meal prepared by Chef Alfonso which was good - but we actually loved cooking in the fully equipped kitchen overlooking the ocean every day better. If you like to cook, and don't mind schlepping your groceries in from PV I would highly recommend it. Please note it is indeed an hour+ long hike to Chimo - especially after recent storms which have washed away part of the trail. That said probably one of the most stunning hikes I have ever been on. Rainforest on one side, vast ocean views on the other, and surrounded by hundreds if not thousands of butterflies. It felt like a dream. Since we were bringing home a huge fish we bought off a local fisherman we opted to take the water taxi back. Unless you really love hiking, I'd recommend timing your hike with the boat taxi so you can do the same. Not to mention it's hard to get your momentum up again after the huge plate of ceviche and beers you'll end up having at Arturo's :) As Pamela will mention it's a good idea to pad your trip with at least one day in PV the day before and after your time in Dos Mulas - the last thing you want is stress going in and out of this incredibly relaxing paradise. During our departure, I chatted with one of the locals and was complimenting her on what a wonderful community Los Choncos was. I said we absolutely loved the place, but understand it isn't the "all-inclusive" resort experience some people want from a Puerto Vallarta vacation. She responded, "Chonchos is all-inclusive, just all inclusive of other things." She is so right. I really hope you pick this place so you can experience it for yourself!

  • If you want a place to relax and get out of the routine, this is the right place, really beautiful, spectacular views and really friendly people. Definitely recommended. Just don't forget to bring your mosquito repellent.

  • I loved spending time in Yelapa and the best part of the trip, besides all the gorgeous and healing nature, was the locals. The workers there are very kind and thoughtful. The only downside was the mosquitoes because of the time of the year I went is the lower season because of the rains. The storms were incredible tho, and we were safe. I would recommend exploring other small pueblos around it by boat as well. Would love to come back again ❤️

    Jadma2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • It is a beautiful place, very well maintained details, the view is incredible and the pool fills you with peace, we loved it !!! A true paradise!

    Alexa2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place is GORGEOUS! You will see lots of wildlife (butterflies, crabs in your bathroom, birds, moths, ants, lizards, snakes, mosquitoes, beetles), and you will basically sleep outside. That being said, there is nothing like waking up on a hillside overlooking an ocean with nothing blocking your view or the fresh sea breeze! You will shower next to birds singing and your butt and legs will get the work out of their lives. It is an AMAZING place to go, unwind, relax, and reset! The staff was kind, responsive, and helpful. Food seemed a little expensive, but it was healthy and my body really needed vegetables after all those delicious al pastor tacos at PV. My Swedish massage with Jessica was amazing. My reiki treatment with Ivana (sp? sorry!) was incredible. It was my first reiki session, and I didn't know what to expect. This retreat was to help my heart heal, and I told Ivana what was ailing me, and her empathy and healing abilities brought the spark back to my eyes and I will be forever grateful. If it weren't for her, the rest of my stay in Mexico would have been sad and heavy.

Delight yourself with the wonderful view you’ll have from this Villa in Yelapa. Villa Bambú is surrounded by nature, bamboo trees, and beautiful flowers and plants. Away from the noise of day to day life, Villa Bambú is the ideal place if you’re looking to relax, meditate, or simply enjoy spending time alone, with your partner or friends. From the gate of the property, you'll find a stone path with steps, you'll have to go all the way up those steps to get to Villa Bambú.
To stay at ths beautiful Villa, all you need to bring is your willing to relax and enjoy being surrounded by nature. You'll sleep on king size bed facing the big windows for you to enjoy the views as you wake up. The Villa has a kitchen with a fridge, a microwave, coffee maker, stove and kitchenware; as well as toiletries. The bathroom is in an open space, you'll feel like you're taking a shower out in the jungle, and since the Villa is completely private, you won't have to worry about people wandering around. The Villa is located inside of a private property. In Yelapa there is only one main sreet that connects most of the town, and the main gate of the property is located on this street. From the main gate it takes around 2 - 3 minutes to to the Villa. You'll find a stone path with steps, and you'll have to go all the way up those steps to get to Villa Bambú. From the main gate of the property to the beach, it takes around 5 minutes walking, but you'll have to cross a small river in order to get to it. You can also go to town, which is around 10 minutes walking from the main gate.
Yelapa is for those who enjoy traveling and looking for remote places or havens to get away from the day to day noise and the shallowness of modern living and being able to connect with themselves and with Nature. It is located 40 minutes from Puerto Vallarta by boat, and in Yelapa there are no cars, thanks to this there is that tranquility and quiet sensation, and you’ll be able to breathe pure and fresh air. Walking with no rush and wandering around Yelapa´s little and colorful streets, you’ll get anywhere you’d like to go, from the beach, to the beautiful waterfall up in the mountain. Yelapa is known and loved by great artists, and it has been of inspiration to many, such as Bob Dylan, Dennis Hopper and many other members of the bohemian music community. If you’re wondering about food, in Yelapa you won’t find fast food chains, but local restaurants with a big variety of fresh seafood and delicious traditional dishes, either on some of the pintoresque streets in town, or by the beach, where you can relax under the sun and enjoy a refreshing beverage.
  • This is a unique home in beautiful Yelapa. It is walking distance to everything yet secluded enough that you really feel like you are in your own little world. Ariana is a lovely host!

    Christine2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • The case suenos was kept spotless by Ariana's weekly visits, muchos gracias . All the amenities of the casa exactly as pictured and described. On Arrival I was greeted by Ariana and her dog and driven by ATV taxi to the red gate of the property. Ariana and Harry the care taker were very quick in responding to minor maintenance problems and Harry even accompanied me to the clinic to translate the particulars of my foot injury history to the medical doctor, again mucho gracias.I did my own breakfast with the available kitchen utilities and had most suppers in town - which has a series of very good and reasonably priced restaurants. The bed is comfy and one can use the mosquito netting if necessary. The open air shower was nice and supplied hot water most of the time ( a short outage because of a dead battery in the on demand water heater). I did not see any scorpios during my month long stay probably because the surroundings of the houses are now regularly "fumigated". If one ( like myself) is a rather light sleeper one should bring good quality ear plugs. Sandals with tow protection and a good grip, water bootie's and back packs rather than roller suit cases are also a good idea. A head lamp is practical to light up the darker street parts and steps to the casa.

  • We stayed at Casa del la Suenos (Casa Bambu) in January 2020. Ariana and her lovely dog Serena met us and had our bags transported. The entrance to her place is on the main ‘road’, an easy 15 minute walk into the centre of town. The place is in a wonderful jungle setting, just what we were looking for. Apparently, Bob Dylan and other celebrities stayed here in the ‘60s. Older, unused structures on the sprawling property make for great photo ops, and we wandered around taking lots of photos of birds, the Elegant Trogon and Squirrel Cuckoo among our favourites. The rental suite is in a large traditional house with many levels and alcoves. It is very rustic but clean. The bed was super-comfortable and enclosed in the netting you see in the photos… although there were almost no bugs at all, anyway. The kitchen area was functional with fridge, cooktop, sink and drinking water. There were some kitchen supplies, although we ate in Town. The bathroom is adjoining the main room and it is open to the outside. There was sufficient hot water but not enough for long showers. We found it quite nice to take showers outside! To sum up, the place is what the photos show, although now there are nice windows instead of just openings. The windows don’t quite seal their openings, but Ariana said she was considering a change. She was very helpful and assured us that we should contact her if we had any needs whatsoever. She also checked on us and asked what we thought should be improved. We very much enjoyed our stay!

    Philip2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • The place is better than what you see in photos. If it is a little difficult to find the address since my boyfriend and I had to find it for ourselves from the boardwalk of the town and the town has a bit weird numbering. Fortunately it is a small town and people know where everything is. The vegetation is beautiful in the house, you have to climb some stairs to get from the entrance cancel to the room, try to go light. The house has all the necessary services to spend a comfortable and quiet, has a beautiful view of the beach and the kitchen is very well equipped. The super comfortable bed and the functional bathroom and in good condition. The space is ample and quite quiet around. The beach is super close if you go by the river side. We loved it and highly recommend it.

    Cassandra2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Villa Bambu was a great place to stoy if you want a little privacy. It's a hike up the steps to get there but for us it was worth it to have the isolation. Arianna was very helpful and quick to respond when we needed to talk to her. We plan to come back!

    Arthur2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful jungle getaway with easy access to beach and town. Here you will find a quiet space to yourself in nature. In fact, we saw iguanas, monkeys, and birds from the hammock! Must try Los Abuelos tacos in town too. Enjoy!

    Evan2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Ariana was a lovely host, and we were happy to meet her. The space is minimalist, showcasing the beauty of the surrounding jungle. The bed was comfortable and the view amazing. We were pleasantly surprised to still be able to see and hear the water while also peaceful and removed from town. The rest of the property looks amazing as well and we are excited to see it being restored. She recommended Los Abuelos for dinner, and it was absolutely outstanding.

  • Great, clean place. Helpful hosts answered very quickly and were very kind and responsive. Only complaint is that on Saturday night the music in the town center is so loud until 3:30am that it was very hard to sleep

  • I very much enjoyed my visit to this home, good location for visit and communication was good, hope to come back.

  • This is a nice apartment located right at the entrance to the village on the trail from the beach. We loved the ocean view and breeze, the comfy couch and clean modern space. We especially loved how responsive socorro was. Anytime we had a question or request soccorro was very quick to reply and made sure we had everything we needed. She is a great host. If you stay here make sure you have dinner at los abuelos restaurant which is just steps away. Their food is amazing!

A beautiful, contemporary apartment overlooking the water in Yelapa with Air Conditioned. Centrally located close to the pier and the center of the village. The location is closed to the restaurants, grocery stores, 7 min from the waterfall, beach inmediately below.
The main space of the open floor plan over looks the bay of Yelapa, where you can relax in the hammock and enjoy the breeze off the ocean. The kitchen comes with a refrigerator, gas range, microwave, coffee maker, and cookware and dinner wear. The large bedroom has plenty of drawers and closet space.
Yelapa is the perfect place for those who want to forget the city and live a beautiful experience next to nature. It is very famous for its waterfall and the beach. The town is very picturesque with its cobblestone paths, the fauna of the jungle and its restaurants and shops that give a special touch to the charm of Yelapa. From December thru March some restaurants have dinner and dancing nights. The music carries a bit in Yelapa but the bedroom is designed to let you sleep peacefully. we suggest bringing earplugs jut to be on the safe side.
  • The place is in a perfect location. Awesome host. Beauty spot in Yelapa. 👍👍

  • Our stay was fantastic in Yelapa! It was such a beautiful, peaceful place and the location of CasaYolanda was excellent! The apartment so quaint and very clean! The hospitality of Orestes and his family was warm and genuine! We felt very welcome and safe. We definitely hope to visit this vacation spot again. Kind regards!

    Connie2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at casa yolanda really was a wonderful experience! The views were so beautiful. It was such a comfortable place to hang out and have a morning coffee while staring at the gorgeous ocean. It was very clean and the bed was so comfortable! We stayed for two nights and wish we were staying for two more. The pace of yelapa is slow (which you learn to love) but Orestes was very quick at responding if we needed anything! Highly suggest walking to the upper waterfall, there is a map on how to get there. And go early to miss the crowds, were we lucky enough to have the waterfall to ourselves. I highly recommend casa Yolanda and wouldn’t hesitate booking again if we ever find ourselves back in Yelapa!

    Jessica2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place in Yelapa! Great location, super close to all the great restaurants. And the view- the open air living room is just amazing! Orestes and his family was super communicative and accommodating!

    Kerry2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Casa Yolanda! The apartment has a beautiful view over the bay and we loved the fresh air open floor plan! Any questions we had were answered immediately and everyone was incredibly nice. I would highly recommend this place and definitely stay here again. The WiFi was fast and reliable which was also a huge plus!

    Michael2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • I can’t rate this place highly enough! Great location, stunning views and a great price. Orestes and his family were very helpful with anything we needed. Yelapa is a gem and this place makes your experience even better. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Relax and unwind in our open palapa home with amazing ocean views just a short hour away from Puerto Vallarta. Watch the dolphins, mantas, whales, birds, butterflies and breathtaking sunsets from the loungers on our deck. Or if you prefer you can head to the beach to swim or snorkel, or for the more adventurous you can go hiking to the nearby village of Chimo.
Casa en las Palmas is a secluded oceanfront piece of paradise near Puerto Vallarta. Although we are secluded at Los Chonchos we have all the comforts of home with a fully equipped kitchen for all your cooking needs as well as open style bedrooms which allow you to enjoy the views and listen to the sound of the ocean while you take in the surrounding beauty and unwind.
Los Chonchos is an eco village where the water comes from the mountains and the electricity is solar. There are three beaches to enjoy in Los Chonchos, the main beach where the water taxi drops you off, the big beach which is a short 10 minute hike or the tiny beach. There are no roads here, only peacefulness and tranquility, its the perfect paradise to recharge from everyday life. There are also no stores at Los Chonchos, we recommend getting your groceries in Puerto Vallarta before you arrive or you can take a short boat ride to Yelapa or Chimo to gather some supplies, but they will be limited. We do have an onsite restaurant however, you will need to book in advance as our chef Alfonso lives in Chimo. You can also hike or go into Chimo via water taxi and enjoy the 2 restaurants that they have there.

  • Absolutely loved my stay here! After I had stayed one night I had to extend my stay by an extra night because it was so hard to leave. If sleeping in a tent is your thing then this place will be perfect on your next stay to Yelapa

    James2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Do not hesitate to visit Missael, he is a very kind and warm person, very attentive to your doubts or needs, he gives you good tips, the accommodation is very good the tents are practically new and the blankets are clean, it has an incredible view!

    Mónica2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • You can't beat the location. Right on the beach! The restaurant operates during the day from around 9-6 but that did not bother us. We were off to the side. There is a private bathroom just steps away from the tent at night and a outdoor shower if you need after bathing in the sea. The air mattress was comfortable and Very fresh sheets and blankets were provided. We only stayed one night but would have stayed more if we had time. The restaurant also gives you a 10 % discount. Staff is very pleasant and Missal is super accommodating. He offered us Great deals on tours but we only had one night so we chose to meander up the river and hang out by the beach. Highly recommend this for people on a budget who don't mind sleeping in a tent. Our things were also very safe there but we didn't bring much. Was a wonderful experience for 1 night

    Angela2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Very pleasant experience, waking up to the sound of the waves, almost alone! The environment was as described ... great for spending the evening and the morning in peace before the arrival of tourists during the day. The whole family is very friendly! Definitely to come back!

    Melissa2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This location on the beach is supreme. Misa and his family at Rogelios Beach Restaurant are very considerate and serve great food! For anyone used to backpacking this place has everything you need. Thanks for a great vacation in Yelapa!

    Todd2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • The location was great and the sound of ocean waves was very relaxing. The tent blow-up mat was comfortable. Only a few things could use some attention: it would be nice to have toilet seats on the commodes and the music a little quieter All in all it was a nice adventure. Thanks

    Brenda2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • I loved camping on the beach and living simply for a few days. This type of accommodation suited me and my travel style. As long as you're happy with the basics and living out in the open this is perfect for you. The inflatable bed was comfortable and the sheets were pristine. The tents are set up beside the chairs and tables of the restaurant so during the day there are lots of people around (not crowded though) and from about 5pm things quieten down. This is an ideal option if travelling on a budget, and planning to spend most of your time outdoors, which you should because this area is stunningly beautiful. I'd definitely stay here again.

    Millie2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • It's a tent on the beach with pillows and warm blanket. Everything was clean and hygienic. I wasn't expecting that to be honest. Tent is new and I had access to an outdoor shower which I didn't use but was nice to have. Got to move my tent right up to the beachfront and woke up to the most beautiful view with all types of beautiful birds chirping away. Will repeat this adventure again.

If you are looking to get away from the fast pace of life, this tranquil paradise destination is the right location for you. Our beautiful palapa is the ultimate way to unplug. Located an hour away from Boca Tomatlan, Los Chonchos village is a must-see community. Our open aired bungalow is located in the jungle above the beach with grand ocean views, cool sea breezes, and access to 2 private beaches. It is a unique bungalow in that compared to other palapas, this one is much larger.
If you choose to explore the big beach located to the South of Los Chonchos and a 15 minute walk, you most likely will have the beach to yourself. This community and our palapa is a perfect destination for families and for children who are enamored with nature. This natural environment allows for the most curious of children to discover turtles, crabs, butterflies and many more animals and habitats. If you enjoy being active in the outdoors, Los Chonchos does not disappoint. Snorkeling, sea kayaking, world class fishing, and swimming are right out your front door. If you truly want to unwind, the open air environment lends itself to relaxation and taking it slow. Experience Mexico at its most beautiful while renting this palapa. Amenities: The palapa contains running water, an indoor and outdoor shower, 2 sinks, fridge, freezer, stove, stainless steel pots and pans, a cooler, and most kitchen amenities including a French press. There is a railing around the deck for anyone traveling with young kids. Mosquito nets are provided and are recommended when sleeping at night. Please note: the location is located above the sea.  It has its benefits by being secluded, no smoke from campfires on the beach and privacy.  The walk to the palapa includes a small but steep set of stairs that could be a little challenging.  Take your time and don't worry about your luggage.  The onsite crew will help you carry your luggage to and from the palapa.  There is a railing to assist you up the stairs.  It takes only about 5-10 minutes from the beach. The palapa has running water but it is not suitable drinking water. After boiling the water for 5 minutes, you can use the water to wash your dishes. There will be a tank of water to be used for drinking water. There are no stores or food amenities at Chonchos (except when prearranged with the chef) so unless you want to have the onsite chef cook for you, you will want to bring food to the palapa. You can hike to Chimo, the local fishing village, for food which can take 45 minutes to an hour or more depending on how fast you travel. There are 2 small stores that are available and Arturo's a local restaurant. What guests should bring: Sunscreen Bug spray Food Beverages Snorkling gear ( we have 2 sets but not for children) Fishing poles
As mentioned earlier, two beaches can be accessed from the palapa-the beach where the taxi lands and another bigger beach 15 minutes by foot South of the village.  One of the most magical aspects of this stay is the access to 2 secluded, beautiful beaches.  The jungle provides an equally appealing and intriguing environment with plant diversity and a stunning amount of coconuts and palms. Observe  mangos, bananas, citrus, and native fruits amidst the palapa community.  This is also a botanists heaven with flowing trees,  plants, and shrubs year round.
  • It is the ideal place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, I loved being at Chonchos beach and being able to have contact with nature in a way that I did not do in years. The cabin is an oasis in the middle of the jungle, it has everything you need to make your stay very comfortable. If you are a lover of semi-virgin and lonely beaches, you will certainly like chonchos a lot. Thanks for all the attention to Alicia and her Staff.

    Arnoldo2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • We loved loved loved our stay and are so grateful for the experience. We miss everything about it: the beach, crabs coming out at sunset, whales jumping, the constant sound of waves, the omnipresence of the jungle, kayaking to chimo, all candles lighten up at night, showering outside. Wow what a place ! We can't wait to come back ! Few tips for travelers/campers: It was very comfortable for us but it is for adventurers as the setting is rustic and animals will be part of your close environment (gekos, crabs, bats, insects). The noises at night are amazing !!! It is a habitat for so many, we definitely felt we were strangers in this preserved land. For you to enjoy every bit of it, bring everything with you (sunscreen, bug spray, beach towels, headlamp). Do all groceries in PV beforehand for fruits/veggies/grains (we didn't buy any water as it will be provided there) and take the orange bus to Boca de Tomatlan (10 pesos) or taxi (250 pesos); then jump on the lanchas one at 9am and one at 3pm (180 pesos). Once there, relax, unwind, enjoy... it is paradise :). Lastly, bring some cash for fresh fish or shrimps and beers to buy in Chimo.

  • WOW! What can I say besides STAY HERE! I had the most relaxing, wonderful time with my 12 year old son. From morning coffee and yoga on the deck to running races along the beach, this place calmed my soul. Alicia was one of the most helpful hosts I’ve ever interacted with and gave me all the info I needed to ensure our time in Mexico was a success and the folks on site were very helpful as well. Make sure to spend time on the big beach you can access from the trail to Chimo with the big white house on it. There is also a small beach you can walk to over the rocks on the left of the main beach - at low tide you can see sea urchins, little blue fish and many other creatures. If you have kids have them grab a bucket and collect hermit crabs - they are everywhere! When you let them go they are so fun to watch scurry off in every direction. We also kayaked and hiked to Chimo for a couple meals and to grab a few items from the the very tiny store. We got a couple meals from Alphonso and while they were a bit pricey, they were well worth it as you get a ton of delicious food. When you go back through Boca, eat at the restaurant right near the pier (crab empanadas and fish tacos). One of the best meals we had! Also while in Boca, make the hike out to Colomitos Beach - it is gorgeous! This trip was just what we needed and we hope to be back again.

  • This is our second time staying at Casa Sarah, and Alicia is always a great host! This time, there were updated tent mosquito nets over the beds, and new beach chairs, which were nice touches! It’s obvious that Alicia and her family take good care of their palapa and add amenities to make the stay more enjoyable for guests. If you’re looking for an adventure, you’ve found it at Casa Sarah!

  • Absolutely loved our stay!! Has so far been our highlight of traveling within Mexico! Great house in a secluded spot. Alicia was a great host and gave excellent instructions and recommendations for the area. Will be recommending to all our kiwi friends!! 10/10!!

"Little Big Sur" is an off-the-grid jungle palapa with modern conveniences overlooking the bay, for those travelers who want an ecological private vacation. This palapa is in the eco preserve, Los Chonchos, located one hour south of Puerto Vallarta by boat. Its south of PV in the jungle, right on the coast.
Our "Little Big Sur" is an off-the-grid, in the jungle, palapa with many modern conveniences for those travelers who want an ecological, private and natural vacation. This palapa is in the eco-preserve, Chonchos, located one hour south of Boca de Tamatlan. Boca is about 45 minutes south of Puerto Vallarta. Chonchos is accessible only by water taxi. The palapa and immediate area are exceptionally beautiful and private, but not for everyone. This is for active people who want to literally be “in nature." ACCOMMODATIONS: "Little Big Sur" (LBS) is on a jungle cliff directly overlooking the Bay of Banderas. It is about 1200 square feet, which is open to the bay/jungle, except for the master bedroom and bathroom. LBS has a full kitchen including solar powered refrigerator, stove, oven and all the plates/utensils/pots needed. There is a covered living room/dining room and outdoor deck overlooking the Bay. VIEWS ARE STUNNING FROM ANYWHERE IN THE PALAPA. Sleeping arrangements include the master bedroom (queen), an upstairs loft bedroom (queen) and an outdoors bed (king) on the deck overlooking the Bay. On additional person could sleep on the large couch. All bedding is included. HOW TO GET THERE: A typical visit to Little Big Sur includes flying into Puerto Vallarta, staying the night while shopping for provisions like food and drink, and catching the 9:00 AM morning water taxi to Chonchos. About an hour later you’ll arrive at the Chonchos beach and will be greeted by the staff. WHAT TO DO : There is plenty to do – including doing nothing. During the migration season, its not uncommon to see 50 whales glide right beneath the deck. Walk down to either of two beaches for snorkeling, fishing or just plain sunbathing. Kayaks and swimming equipment are available. There are plenty of trails through the jungle. The nearest village, Chimo, is a two-mile hike along the beach and mountains. Sometimes the best thing is to just chill by reading a book and taking in the spectacular mountain jungle and ocean, which surrounds the palapa. LBS is a also a great place for a family and friends vacation. There is enough room to sleep 6 pretty comfortably, 8 including coaches. There are also other palapas nearby that can be rented for overflow. For those who must, the LBS has electricity, some cell phones work, and there is Internet at LBS. A LA CARTE PRICES: An LBS stay is $125/night for 4 people, $25 for each additional person, with a three night minimum. This includes the full palapa that can sleep 6 comfortably. It does not include: travel to/from the airport and Boca de Tomatlan, your food/beverages, the cost of the water taxi ride ($125 pesos/each way per person), and the cost of a hotel for an overnight stay in Puerto Vallarta.
Los Chonchos is an eco resort of about 20 palapas. It is a combination of jungle and beach. LBS sits high on a cliff overlooking the Bay of Banderas. Its one of the more isolated palapas and has a spectacular view of the Bay and the Jungle.
  • all very happy

    Pako2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • I can only say that the good news and the bad news is that you will never truly recover from a visit to Los Chonchos... This was our third time back, each with different friends and each time we found ourselves entranced, inspired and recharged. This is not a place where those who need all-inclusive packages will be able to find happiness, but for those of us who want to find sanctuary in big nature and simple pleasures played out style and comfort, there are very, very few places on the planet that offer the fulfilling joys of Los Chonchos. And within this enclave, Karen has proven to be a truly attentive host.

    Alan2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • LBS and Chonchos are amazing. Total outdoor living with great indoor amenities. Karen was fantastic with communication.

    Can2019-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Words can't do justice to the beauty and tranquility of Karen's palapa. We had an unbelievable time. Palapa Little Big Sur was charming and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay immensely. Like all the palapas at Chonchos, it is no frills but has everything you need in a serene environment. Karen was a great host who was able to answer all our questions and we can't wait for our next stay.

    Claudia2019-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Little Big Sur was a wonderful adventure and we loved it. Keep in mind this is not the place for everyone, very rustic, basically living in the jungle. But if you are looking for peace, solitude, gorgeous almost private beach, jungle hikes, snorkeling, whale watching, well... you get the picture..Karen's place is perfect! Loved the water taxi ride down the coast too. And we had an easy on and off the boat. Whew! We did the hike to Chimo and lunch at Arturo's. Loved it! Find the trail at the southern end of the bigger beach, don’t cross over the rocks. We’d come back! Thanks Karen! Great place to disconnect from the chaotic outer world.

    Mary2019-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • 10’s across the board! A truly exceptional space. The location is incredible You are nestled on a jungle cliff with 180° view of beautiful ocean. You are steps away from a gorgeous beach that might as well be private. Surprisingly very few bugs. Very secluded. Absolutely loved our stay. Being very secluded, it is a journey to get there. About 2.5 hours from PV.

    Joshua2019-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Karen's place is a wonderful place to relax ... Enjoy the beautiful views . Watch whales , birds , and so many pretty butterflies . She has some books that may interest you ... And board games to play . There is a very nice beach with in walking distance ... Not too many people there , and a great place to watch sunsets and swim . Or if you feel like getting some exercise ... ( be sure to bring water to drink .. As it does get hot . And wear running shoes ) You can hike to Chimo and have a lovely meal at seaside restaurant . We had garlic butter fish and the best shrimp cocktail ... Huge and lots of shrimp . There is a small store there too if you need any groceries . Not a huge selection , but does have basics . We loved our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone that wants to get away and enjoy living in a Palapa in amongst a jungle .. peacefulness and the simple pleasures of life . I could go on about other features ... But other reviews have covered them . Be sure to read other reviews even though they are older .. They are still accurate . We will be sure to return in the near future . Thanks Karen for sharing your lovely piece of paradise .

A beautiful oceanfront treehouse backed against the jungle near Puerto Vallarta. Whether you are looking for adventure and exploration or some rest and relaxation you will find it here at Casa Verde. Enjoy your days kayaking, snorkeling, fishing and whale watching on your own private beach steps from the treehouse.
Casa Verde is a palapa style tree house located on the beach of Los Chonchos. Our treehouse is beautifully decorated with fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with shower as well as two queen beds, and a daybed sofa with extra twin sized trundle. This is a great space for a friends trip or a family vacation, with a total of four beds offering enough sleeping space for 6. Casa Verde is located with in an eco-nature reserve called Los Chonchos. Los Chonchos is in a relatively remote area within the Cabo Corrientes region of Jalisco, Mexico. You get to Casa Verde via a short 45 minute water taxi trip from Boca de Tomatlan, a small fishing village just outside of Puerto Vallarta. Los Chonchos is a beautiful secluded paradise with pristine beaches, lush green tropical plants, and lots of wildlife. However, what it does not have is grocery stores, pharmacies, or any other luxuries that we are used having readily available in larger cities or towns. Therefore, you want to be sure that you do all your grocery shopping In Puerto Vallarta before heading to the water taxi. You will also want to be sure to pack any medications that you take regularly or feel that you might need. We do have a first-aid kit at Casa Verde but we might not have everything that you require so plan ahead. The surrounding villages of Yelapa and Chimo do have small grocery stores for essentials should you forget something. If you are looking for a great day trip I would recommend hopping on the morning water taxi to Yelapa and spend the day exploring. There are many things to do in Yelapa from shopping to horseback riding. You can also hike up to find the waterfalls of Yelapa and take a refreshing swim under the falls.
Los Chonchos is an eco-community that is only accessible by boat or foot. All of the bungalows and common facilities are powered by solar energy or propane. There are no cars in Los Chonchos so you can truly relax in peace without hearing the hustle and bustle of a city filled with automobiles. Los Chonchos offers a secluded relaxing experience with the convenience of two daily water taxis directly to Puerto Vallarta for the big city experience.
  • The view of this cabin is spectacular, it has a small terrace that faces the beach and gives you unbeatable views. The details and layout of the house are in very good taste. Chonchos beach and the other beach that is on one side about 10 minutes walk are magical and perfect to relax and get in touch with the sea and nature. Yes. Doubt a place that we will never forget. Likewise, any questions that we asked were answered, very kind and the total willingness of the hosts to assist us. Many thanks!

    Arnoldo2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing, different than anywhere I’ve ever stayed. If you like nature than it’s the place for you. Just be aware you are literally sleeping in the jungle, lol. The beach, views, sound of the waves can’t be beat. It’s a very remote location so bring anything you might need. We had some minor issues but Sean and the on site staff did there best to sort it all out asap as soon as we let them know.

    Martin2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this position and the house and the souroundings. It was no joke that it was in the middle of nowhere. But it was amazing.

    Sofie2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for a getaway this is the right place to go. Everything was great, since the beginning Sean kept an excellent communication and helped me no matter the time; his house has all that you need to spend a delightful time, the view is amazing, the sunsets to die for, the sounds of the waves crashing at night are so relaxing and the beaches around are incredible. This is a place i will never forget and that I am already looking forward to come back.

  • No words can begin to describe the palapa experience we just had. We were greeted on the beach and helped off the boat with our bags. Chilino let us into the palapa and I was absolutely blown away. You wouldn't imagine something so well decorated out in the middle of nowhere. You can tell they put so much effort into bringing the comforts from home out there. We went during off season and there were very few people around, which is what we were looking for. If you bring food from PV you have a fridge and everything you need to cook with. We also hiked to Chimo for dinner and the food and environment in that small city was amazing, there is also small store there if you forget basic items. This is the jungle though, so everything outside seemed to move, but we made friends with lots of crabs and frogs, haha! There are two beaches we visited, "little beach" and "big beach," and both are absolutely beautiful for snorkeling or kayaking (all the equipment is there for your use.) If you need anything at all, or have any concerns, there is wifi available and Sean will go out of his way to make sure you are taken care of and safe out there. Jesus was also available to help if we needed anything! We will absolutely be back!

  • Great communication and everything was better than pictured/described in the listing! I booked this after my last kidney cancer appointments because I wanted to go somewhere as far away as possible from kidney cancer. I zoomed out of Puerto Vallarta on Airbnb and found Casa Verde in Los Chonchos. No A/C, jungle, beach, solar energy, mountain spring water, only accessible by boat, rainy season, and all of the internet telling you to not go in July. I'm leaving this review to encourage you to not be afraid of the heat/rain/bugs if you are thinking of going in July. We were there 12 nights and lived our best lives on a mostly secluded beach - only 4 of the days were there other guests at Los Chonchos. We had amazing (and large portions) breakfasts and dinners prepared for us by Alfonso, watched every sunset, and slept to the sounds that make up my sound machine. It was hot, but we cooled down with cold mountain spring water and the ocean. It rained, but usually in the evening - just adding to the perfect sound machine soundtrack. We would absolutely stay at Casa Verde again.

  • Rustic and extremely romantic. This place was absolutely amazing and we’ll be returning. All of the previous reviews were accurate. Let Sean handle details. We were picked up at PVR by Jesus and taken to the market (bring in all of your groceries). Then Jesus took us to the boat in Boca. If you get the water taxi it’s much cheaper than a probate boat, but the last water taxi leaves Boca at 3. Once you get to the palapa, there are a few basic spices and all cooking gear. There is a fridge and freezer, ice cube trays, and food bins. Keep things inside the storage bins! One night a critter got the end of our avocado and a jalapeño that we left on the counter. But it was nothing. Cute, even. Be prepared for mosquitos. Nuff said about that. We are fairly healthy and active outdoor-type Oregonians; the hike to Chimo was indeed strenuous in the heat (90 degrees). We kept looking at other reviews saying “how strenuous could it be?” The truth? Strenuous. TAKE WATER. But the trek to Chimo was worth it. We found a ripe mango on the ground and ate it along the way. Dinner at Arturo’s in Chimo was truly fabulous. The restaurant was a super laid back. The whole town is. During the low season, the weather in Los Chonchos is really amazing. The sea kayak was great for getting to the big beach on the other side of the point. The snorkeling was incredible and we so appreciated being able to use all of the equipment. Added plus? A blender. Pick up some Jumex with your liquor of choice at the market in PV in your way to Boca. Voila! Blended drinks. Yes. You will get mildly wet getting in and off the boat (arriving and departing Los Chonchos. Yes. The view is spectacular. Yes. Go. Do it. If you like third tier glamping, you’ll love this place. Put everything you need (which for me means a sundress, a sarong, a long sleeved shirt for kayaking, two swimsuits, Birks, water shoes, bug spray, hair conditioner, sunscreen and tennis shoes for the hike) in a backpack, grab your groceries and go. Don’t forget your guitar. We will be back. Thank you, Sean, Rachel, Chillemo, Rueben, and Jesus.

  • Loved staying at Palapa Verde! Third trip here, but first at Sean’s palapa. The new lounging hut with hammock and two lounges was great, and the space had everything we needed for a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable trip!

  • You will do yourself a great favor by coming to Yelapa and staying at Garcia Rentals. The apartment was full of brand new appliances, it was extremely spacious and clean, the staff was very helpful and friendly, and the location cannot be beat right where the river flows into the ocean, you are at the nexus between the beautiful Yelapa beach and the wonderful little town on the hill. This place is amazing. We love Yelapa so much and this is perhaps our 5th time staying there. Garcia Rentals was the best place we have been in there. The only problem with the entire stay is that we only booked it for 4 nights!

  • Erik’s place was part of the iconic Garcia Rentals on the south side of the beach in Yelapa. We came in the off season and were some of the only people on the whole complex! The open air quarters had the best view of the river the entire beach and all the birds from the 5th floor. It was exceptional and magnificently relaxing.

Yelapa is a vacationer’s hideaway that can only be reached by boat. Today it remains an escape from the norm and an opportunity for authentic adventure travel to a naturally beautiful Mexican village. Most famous for its waterfalls and beach the cobblestone paths, jungle fauna, and quaint restaurants and stores further add to Yelapa's charm.
MiraMar is located on the village side of Yelapa. Casa Marietas 1 is a one bedroom haven with stairs to the ocean and beach immediately below. People who stay here love the hammock and great view. This house is a destination perfect for adventure travelers who are looking to experience Yelapa in accommodations which are fully enclosed. Centrally located the house is a 10min walk to the main beach or a 5min walk to town. All our accommodations are houses complete with kitchen, bathroom, dining table, bed, closet space, and private patio with furniture. We have a queen bed and a built-in couch (does not pull out) in this house. Please let us know if your party is 3 people. We offer fully enclosed, comfortable accommodations here. And the views at our places are really hard to beat.
This is an incredible place. Rustic, charming, picturesque, full of friendly people and brimming with life. We are so happy living here! Our houses are on the town side and are about 5 min from most of the popular restaurants and about 10min from the main beach. Your patio is a great place to watch the comings and goings on in Yelapa.
  • My wife and I had the best time staying at Miramar. The location is perfect, right in the middle of access to the playa or the pueblo. There is a tiny beach below just for Miramar guests and from there you can walk along the beach over to Cafe Bahia for breakfast. They have the best breakfast in town. We also arranged a day trip to the Marietas Islands through Miramar, a conservation area with hundreds of birds, and it was amazing. We saw blue footed boobies and some whales too! Our boat captain and his assistant were wonderful, making sure we all had a good time. I highly recommend booking this trip if you're interested in learning a bit more about the area. It's also a great way to meet other travelers in Yelapa. The listing was perfect for my wife and I with a nice kitchen and a comfy bed. We didn't cook much except boil water for making coffee. We brought our own pourover set, though there was a coffee maker in the kitchen if you prefer drip. The view from the balcony allowed us to watch the frigate birds, black vultures and other sea birds daily, with the occasional iguana in the trees too! We cannot wait to return to Yelapa and stay at Miramar again. Thank you again, Kendra and Fernando and your amazing staff for providing a 5 star experience.

    Heather2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Miramar is absolutely stunning, photos truly don’t do the views justice. You have your own private beach, everything you could ever need in the kitchen to cook, and AMAZING patio, just a perfect getaway. The hosts are wonderful and it really shows the love and care they put into this property. My husband was not feeling well our last night, our host’s were so incredibly helpful and kind to help us out on a late Sunday evening. We won’t forget it. Can’t wait to come back!

    Georgia2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay here. The location was perfect. We sat on the balcony and read, we saw whales and took in the sun. We loved falling asleep to the sound of waves crashing on the beach below. We lounged on the rooftop and took in the stars. Plenty of restaurants nearby serving great food and cocktails. Thank you Kendra for your hospitality, we loved your seaside property and can’t wait to return to Yelapa.

    Paul2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space and gorgeous view. We appreciated Fernando and Kendra's warmth and help throughout the trip. Would definitely stay here again. The rooftop patio was absolutely incredible.

    Nikki2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Casa Miramar is the perfect location for staying in Yelapa! Beautiful rooms and views, great quiet beach down below, excellent access to all the local restaurants and most importantly, the best owners and staff you can imagine! Kendra and Fernando are kinda like magic, and everyone on their crew from Super Amigo Wim on down the line are just the greatest folks. The room had everything we needed and everything we wanted - a decent wifi connection in the room, balcony, filtered water, refrigerator, coffeemaker, shower, bathroom, safe, and everything was so clean! They made getting in and out of Yelapa so easy, meeting us at the dock and helping figure out the water taxi schedule. Everywhere you go in Yelapa, the locals all know and respect these two and the top-notch outfit that they run. The trip to the Marietas Islands that we took with Fernando was unforgettable, a pure treat. We only stayed a few days but are already dreaming about being back in the quiet, relaxed atmosphere of Yelapa and Casa Miramar!

    Christopher2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • We could not believe how absolutely perfect this place is. From the stellar location and views to the wonderful hospitality, we could not have had a more perfect stay in Yelapa! This place is a true gem. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves lapping on the sand could not have been more perfect. And the private beach was the best place to just relax the day away!

    Robert2019-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great location! With a spectacular view! Our suite was the perfect size for the two of us, it had everything we needed! Short walk to the beach and into town. Super Amigo was super friendly and helpful. We highly recommend MiraMar and will be back!

    Maria2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • While I can’t speak to other places to stay in Yelapa I would say that if Miramar is available and in your budget (which it was for us in August low season) don’t look further! You may never leave the house (except maybe to go down to the beach below or up to the roof deck!). The space was perfect for us and our 5 year old who was really comfortable on the couch that was made into a bed. Screens in the window get the mosquitos out and the air flowing through and fans helped with the August heat. We loved the lightening show! A really special place.

  • We arrived in yelapa on a day trip & loved it so decided to stay overnight. Found this place on air bnb & could not have been more stoked with it. Awesome view, spotless clean, kitchen for cooking breakfast not much more you can ask for! Definitely Recommend.

  • A lovely, very responsive local family runs this gem of a roost. This is the place to stay if you love nature, want a spectacular view, enjoy getting some exercise to work off all that yummy Mexican food and want to be immersed in the jungle. Don't expect decorations or fine touches inside, but the simple space is clean and the host family is very nice and very responsive. This was our second stay and we will return.

    Leah2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay! Excellent place to stay hidden in the mountains, ideal to relax with a unique and spectacular view towards the bay ... sleeping or waking up with the sounds of nature is amazing ... Pedro is an excellent host, friendly and attentive, he was totally pending our comfort and needs.

Newer casa located near center of village, close to shops, stores, waterfall and restaurants. Equipped with all you need, along with Co host living nearby for any of your needs or concerns, also helping with transportation to the beach if desired. The beach is approximately 15 min walk through the village.
The casa boasts a beautiful deck for entertaining and an early morning coffee with several species of birds. Windows can be left open for a night breeze or closed for a more intimate feeling. Plenty of natural light and an abundance of greenery with perfect secluded views of the beach and ocean.
The village of Yelapa is charming and quaint, a step back in time. A place to be respected and enjoyed. The locals are friendly, the food is exceptional and the atmosphere is out of a tropical novel. No roads, no city life, just a community of happiness.
  • Fantastic stay in Yelapa. the apartment was as good as expected, and loved the location in town, which made for a special trip among friendly and happy locals. plenty of restaurants and local shops in town, so had everything near by. plus only a short and lovely walk to the beach and the more touristy/hotel area. Shane was good enough to arrange someone to meet me at the pier and show me through the maze of winding streets up to the apartment, and the amazing view across the bay. Look forward to coming back!

    Thomas2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Nestled between the jungle mountains and the bay, Yelapa is a step back to an older and quieter Mexico. The people were incredibly friendly and the food incredibly fresh and delicious. Shane was prompt and helpful. A real superhost. Be forewarned that Casa Nina and all of Yelapa require climbing narrow and winding cobblestone lanes While quaint, not good for the physically challenged or disabled

  • Shane and Romeo are great at responding to messages. The house is clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The walk to the house isn't long and if you're in decent shape the stairs are no problem. I recommend this bnb to anyone wanting an authentic and quiet getaway.

  • Very comfortable, well appointed accommodation on the third floor overlooking the treetops full of wonderful exotic birds. Yelapa is a maze full of local color, wonderful restaurants and colorful murals and beautiful potted plants and foliage. Apartment is great proximity to town, within a local family compound, very safe. Be ready for climbing steps; Yelapa is only for surefooted walkers.

  • We were very happy with our stay and we would definitely recommend it to other travellers. The place was very neat and Romero was more than helpful, giving us tips and bringing us to Shane's place. We enjoyed quiet mornings and it was close enough to the town pier and the beach. It offers all the comforts you need in this peaceful town.

Great for writers, a desk overlooks the garden of tropical plants with bamboo rails and a large screened wall so you feel like you're outside! A twin bed with mosquito net. Sink outside, shower and toilet are in separate shared space 40 steps away.
Casa Romero, is great for writers and overlooks the garden of tropical plants with bamboo rails and a large screened wall so you feel like your outside. There is a twin bed with mosquito net a small desk and chair. 20 feet from the ocean. Casa Romero is a hideaway at the edge of the jungle overlooking the bay in Yelapa Mexico. It's traditional palm roof constructed casa, unique, surrounded by beautiful gardens of tropical plants & under large trees filled with birds. If you are wanting to be near the ocean, this is the spot for you! There is no kitchen so its perfect for someone not wanting to bother with cooking, suited for one person, the space is a small casita with tile floor, towels, mosquito net, and access to a hot shower, internet available after mid January, right out the door is the ocean with little beach, 3 doors to small grocery store. Single bed with linens. Ocean waves can be heard all day and night in a peaceful setting. The bathroom with Shower and hot water is a shared space and is located about 45 steps away. There is WiFi Access but not until we return mid December to Activate our WiFi.
Located near the heart of the pueblo, the location is very convenient for going out for meals and drinks and other explorations. For years, the tiny fishing village of Yelapa was the refuge of Bob Dylan, Dennis Hopper, and other cosmic caballero types who gathered in search of lonely beaches, cheap tequila, and intrigue. Only fairly recently have more mainstream travelers begun looking to the 2,000-person town as a quiet antidote to the condos,  sterile white  accommodations   of Puerto Vallarta, 20 miles to the north. The water taxi at Playa de Los Muertos is a pleasant speedboat ride between Puerto Vallarta and Yelapa, from one end of Banderas Bay to the other, and takes 45 minutes.  LOCATION  OF  OUR CASITAS  Our Casitas are between the ocean and the jungle, on a small cove on the southern edge of Banderas Bay on Mexico’s Pacific Coast.  It is a 10-minute walk from the pueblo of Yelapa, and a short boat-ride away from the Puerto Vallarta. Beach choices: 1. Right outside your door is the  "Playita"  beach where local fisherman     bring in fish for the day, and there are rocks to sit in sun and a small sand area.  Nice to swim . 2. The main beach is only 15-minute walk. 3. There is also a lovey beach of many long-time Yelapans (Playa Isabel) only 5 minutes from our casitas. Extracurricular activities: Fishing trips and other guided trips can be found to local waterfalls, snorkeling and exploring the nearby Las Marietas National Preserve, visits to nearby coastal and inland towns, whale and marine-life watching, birding and nature walks, and culinary and other cultural adventures. YELAPA RENTAL GENERAL BASICS When we receive your rental amount, we call our housekeeper to come do a clean up and make beds, etc. usually several days before your arrival. The rental includes sheets, towels, wash clothes, kitchen utensils a bodega lock box for your valuables. We are artists and  our place has  an artist’s look -  If you are looking for an all white condo look this is not that. Our casitas have an artistic flavor with ceramic sculptures and a Bohemian flavor. The house is stocked with Mexican china and flatware ... skillets and most kitchen utensil you will need to enjoy your home cooked meals right in your rental home overlooking the Bahia de Banderas. It is right down to the sea and you can dip into the ocean anytime you wish ... a 10-minute walk into the heart of of Yelapa, another few minutes and you are near and the river to the public beach.

  • This February was our third visit to Yelapa , but the first time we had stayed in town. Irving's place was the perfect pick. Right in the middle of town, but above all the action with great views of the bay. The hustle & bustle of town & the roosters was lively, but never annoying - and the bed was great! We had a challenge getting hot water in the shower on the first day, but Irving was there in a flash to set us on the right track. We really enjoyed ourselves & would definitely recommend it to others.

  • A paradise in the jungle. Jungle on 3 sides and a magnificent view of the bay down bow. Peaceful and romantic, you wont want to leave! You can hear the waves in the distance and the river near by. This rooftop casa is located up a jungle path, but only 4 minutes walk to the town...the best of both worlds. Jeannie took me on a walk up behind the waterfall , and gave me lots of tips to be safe in this jungle paradise. She is definitely a super host!

    Michael2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place with an amazing view! Jeannie is just great and a perfect host.

    Philipp2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Jeannie’s place is a true gem in Yelapa ~ gorgeous views, tree house feel as you’re climbing numerous stairs and a ladder to get to your private quarters amid the tree tops. While it may be more rustic as its an open air ~ everything felt clean and having a bathroom/shower was a huge plus. This was truly a magical experience that I would recommend to anyone looking to get off the beaten path. Thank you for your hospitality Jeannie!

  • This is the coolest house. It's a lot of stairs up, but totally worth it. The house is very cool, like living outside. Not the place to come for fancy, but the place to come for beautiful and unique. Glamping! I ended up actually sleeping out under the stars to the sound of waves. The view is beautiful. One of the best toilet views I've ever seen! I had a bad cold while there and she gave me supplements and vitamins to get better. She was really kind to me, made me a full delicious brunch. An added sweet touch was the gift of a homemade back scrubber. I'ms till using it at home.

    Tara2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Jeannie's house (Juanita as she is known in the village), is an incredible place, it is certainly an incredible terrace where sleeping almost outdoors is a wonderful experience, the sounds of nature, the aromas and the feeling of being in In the middle of nowhere they are wonderful. You have to have an excellent condition to climb, since there are many steps, but it is totally worth it. Juanita, on the last day, prepared an amazing and delicious breakfast for me and my family! Super recommended as Host!

    Omar2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible view !, living an experience in the middle of nature is indescribable .. Juanita is very hospitable, makes you feel at home; always aware of how we are going and if we need anything. We will definitely be back!

    Verushka2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Jeannie's place is exactly as described, and the view is terrific. Be mindful of the ladder / steps you need to climb to get to the top floor. Jeannie is a wonderful and helpful host, and if I find a chance to head back to Yelapa I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

    Matthew2019-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • Yelapa was a very welcoming little town, and Jeannie as well. Her place is surrounded by flowers, birds, mangos and forest. Almost the jungle! And besides, a panoramic view on the bay like in a movie. Fabulous!

Casa Luna, our romantic getaway, has a hanging queen-size bed upstairs with a spectacular view of the ocean. There is also a sitting area and a hammock built for two. Downstairs, there is a stationary queen-size bed and a twin bed/couch. Luna has a fully equipped kitchen with a view that looks out to the ocean. The stove is a four burner, sorry no oven.
Waking up to the view of Yelapa Bay from Casa Luna is simply divine! This uniquely-built two-story casita is ideal for a spiritual retreat, romance, or just some peaceful relaxation. The upper level has a hanging queen-size bed, a small private living room and a hammock fit for two. The main floor has a stationary queen-sized bed, a twin bed/couch, a palapa-roofed bathroom and a full kitchen that includes a four-burner stove, a refrigerator, a coffee maker and a blender. We try and keep some essentials like salt, pepper, oil, teas and coffee. The high ceiling and skylight in the kitchen create a feeling of openness and light which abound throughout Casa Luna. Casa Luna comes stocked with linens, towels and dishes for your comfort and a lockbox for your valuables. We provide hand and shower soap, but not other toiletries...we do provide ALOT of adventure.
There are no cars in Yelapa. You get here by taking a water taxi from Puerto Vallarta, about a 45 min. ride. Once in Yelapa, you can either walk or ride a burro, there are no cars. While at Luna, it is a 5 to 10 min. walk into the village. The path is rocky and uneven in some places and can be a challenge to folks with physical limitations. It's probably a 15 / 20min. walk to the main beach OR if you are adventurous you may easily cross the small cove to the main beach by kayak. If your swimming skills are moderate or better, you could also swim or you can always catch the water taxi over. Since nothing is very far away, walking is the preferred method of getting around. Some paths in Yelapa may not be accessible for folks with physical limitations.
  • Chrissi’s hospitality was outstanding! The home was beautiful, location was perfect! My husband and I just got home and are planning our next trip back, with our kids next time! I was specifically impressed with Chrissi’s immediate response to any of my calls, txts or messages! I recommend this home and this town! A small piece of heaven!!!

    Yomaira2020-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • Casa Luna is definitely one of a kind and worth the adventure of getting there. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare a meal when we didn’t feel like venturing out. Bathrooms are clean, with great water pressure, considering the remote location. And the view!!! We loved sitting in the hammock, reading and ocean watching. No need to bring books, the house has a stocked bookshelf. The waves crashing on rocks at night will sooth you to sleep. We took advantage of the stock the fridge option and recommend it. We came in on a Monday evening and weren’t able to find anywhere to eat dinner without having a lay of the land. Thank goodness for the fresh guacamole and salsa that we had ordered. Bring a headlamp or flashlight! You will need it. We hope to come back again.

    Crystal2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • My mom and I stayed at Chrissi’s place in Yelapa for 4 nights, and it still went by too quickly. We didn’t want to leave. The views from the house are unforgettable, and Chrissi was a great host. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a little adventure and relaxation.

    Shea2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was exactly what we needed. We woke up looking at the ocean and fell asleep to the sounds of waves. We saw whales and hummingbirds while laying in our bed. The architectural details of the space frame the surrounding beauty. The space was clean and unique. The water was warm. Plus the food suggestions where great!

    Chris2019-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Casa Luna. The location right on the water can not be beat. Just a short walk from town. Casa Luna is located at the best beach for swimming, my kids (11 and 15) spent the whole day in the water. We loved sitting on the patio and watching the manta rays jump and the boats come and go. The house had everything we needed and our local host David checked in with us daily to make sure everything was fine. I loved the sound of the waves all night long and the gorgeous view of the bay to wake up to. Truly a magical stay. Thank you Chrissi!

    Victoria2019-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • Chrissi`s place is truly a slice of paradise. It`s hard to find words to describe how incredible our stay was. Waking up to the sound of the waves crashing, then taking in the stunning view, is a memory that is imprinted on my brain forever. The details on the house, and all the tips, were spot on. On the way there we took an Uber to Boca Tomatlan and then caught the water taxi, so easy. On our return, David arranged a private boat ride back to PV which picked us up at the house. Worth every penny! We had a long travel day and this made it so much easier, not to mention the boat ride is a quick 45 minutes with stunning views. Check in was easy. It was a pleasure chatting with David. He stopped by the house shortly after we arrived and gave us all the info we needed. Our number one tip, it really helped make our stay that much better, was having a few groceries delivered before we arrived, specifically Ice!! Chrissi provides the information when you book & it could not have been easier to arrange. The trail to town is easily navigable with good grippy sandals or shoes, and a flashlight, but we were very happy that we didn`t have to carry ice. It`s also a good idea to bring a sleep mask and pack light. My biggest concern booking was the lack of A/C, and although it gets very hot, by the time we were ready for bed, the temperature with the fans, was pleasantly cool. All in all, our time in Yelapa was just perfect. The locals are friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious everywhere-we especially loved Los Abuelos. We found it to be very affordable so we dined out for every meal. We enjoyed hiking, waking in the river and bird watching, lounging on the beach at a couple of different restaurants(if you want a boat ride to/from the house, most of the places offer it for free if you eat or drink there. Just let them before it gets to late). Our favorite part of our time though, was hanging out at the house and we can`t wait to return. We can not thank Chrissi enough for sharing this unique experience. This is why we use Airbnb:)

The apartment is located on the third floor of a family home. From the path you pass the family home shared space and will find steps that guide you up to the top floor. You are an easy walk to the Pueblo and village pier.
Casa Kokopelli is a short 5 minute walk to town and about a 15 minute walk to the main beach. You can also enjoy a few small beaches closer to town that are located towards and at the “Point” that are not as crowded. Excellent beaches to snorkel or swim. The main beach has restaurants and offers, paragliding, parasailing, horseback tours to the waterfall, paddle board and kayak rentals.
  • Such a stunning view in this gorgeous fishing village. We would 110% recommend and hoping to return next year. The hosts have done a beautiful job with the design of the suite and we had everything that we needed to enjoy a few relaxing days. Markets, restaurants and waterfall within walking distance. What more could you ask for????

  • I’ve stayed at a lot of AirBnb’s before, I’ve been an experienced host myself, stayed in many places in Yelapa before and this is hands down the best experience I’ve had as a guest and in Yelapa. Our liason to the host, Rangel, exceeded expectations in every way possible. I can’t say enough positive feedback so I’d encourage you to have your own experience. The place is in town a little ways and there are many steps for those that are less willing to want to exert theirselves. It was nothing too difficult as we were in good shape, just a heads up if you have difficulty getting around as is.

    Tim2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome hosts with a passion for the area! The view was incredible! The true Yelapa experience. Would recommend.

  • I loved my week in Yelapa at Michaela's! It was an adventure and respite all at the same time. Yelapa is a wonderful little town and Michaela's place is a great way to experience it. The place would be hard to find on your own but I was graciously met by her partner when I arrived who walked me there to give me the lay of the land. He was very helpful and kind and offered assistance with anything I needed. You actually walk through his family's outdoor kitchen to get to the space. They are kind and welcoming and it was not an issue at all. The apartment is so lovely and sits at the very back of town, nestled up to the jungle so you have a view of everything! There are some narrow, steep stairs to get there but when you do, it is wonderful. It was quiet, clean and had all the necessary amenities. The view is spectacular and coffee in the sun every morning on the open veranda was amazing. While it is relatively quiet, the roosters and other birds are fairly active so turn on the fan or bring some ear plugs if you are sensitive to noise. I found it rather charming and didn't really hear them after a while. Bird watching from the veranda is top notch and green parrots and other birds spend time in the trees just in front of apartment. If you are looking for a lovely space with all the amenities and an authentic experience in Yelapa, then I would highly recommend Casa Kokopelli! I will definitely stay there again on my next visit. Gracias!

Nice sunny cottage by the sea surrounded by natural beauty and away from the city noise, 5 minutes walk to the beach and 20 minutes to town's waterfall. Yelapa is a small beach town. Just half and hour from Puerto Vallarta by water taxi
a cozy cottage with one of the greatest views of the bay. big enough to sleep up to four people. 2 comfortable beds and a great open kitchen
  • Great view, access to a nice beach- we could use chairs and umbrellas which was unexpected and appreciated. There is construction in the apartment below, but it was not too disruptive. As others mentioned, a lot of steps, so if you are young and agile, you can scramble down towards the sea and wade to the beach rather than go up and down the stairs. Maria was responsive and helped us arrange transportation to Yelapa- our flight arrived at 5 pm, so it was tight. Maria’s relative picked us up from the airport and helped us get on the water taxi ( actually made it come back for us!), we paid 600 pesos on top of return boat fare, but it was worth it for peace of mind. Mosquito nets were in place when we were there, kitchen has everything you need for cooking your own meals. Garcia rentals staff are helpful and friendly. We preferred casa papaya to other units, as it is directly by the sea and the view and privacy are the best. Would stay again.

  • Maria’s place is even more beautiful that shown in pictures. Location is wonderful, although you must be ok with stairs, but its well worth it. She went above and beyond helping us this trip and I can say she’s the best host I’ve had thus far! Thanks for our stay Maria!

    Claudia2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Super easy check in and the location is unbeatable. Yelapa is an amazing place to stay and being right on the water and hearing the waves lap on the shore as you're falling asleep is spectacular.

    Nathan2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • The view! Yes, there are many steps down to get here and a steep hill to climb before that, but all of Mexico seems to be steps. :) We stayed here for 4 nights and it was wonderful. We love Yelapa and this location was great with the view of the bay and the beach. Easy access to the store and the trails and restaurants too. We had a resident iguana in the palm and birds always on the rocks out front. Remember to bring lots of cash! Not many credit here. And also bring some warmer clothes. It got chilly here at night with open walls. There were great snuggly blankets to coze up with. A good choice if you are coming to Yelapa!

  • Excellent stay at Yelapa, near the center and 10mn walk to the beach. Socorro is an excellent host who gave us the second floor with more view instead of the first floor. the appartment is very well equiped the kichen, the bathroom everything very was clean and confortable. She greated us at our arrival at the boat and showed us everything we need. she gave us tip on what to do. i might say that there are stiff stairs to go to the beach for persons with limited mobility, also to go to the second floor. Socorro helped us with the suitcases. it is a perfect place, calm but noisy often because it is like on a main road and you can hear the traffic of the 4x4 the horses, the roosters etc.... but after a while you get used to them. and you can always hear in the back ground the waves. I will definitly reconsider going there next time in Yelapa. Thanks Socorro for your hospitalty. we were just like at home.

  • Firstly I have to say that I like the place so much that I added 8 more days. Yelapa is wonderful and Sicorro's place is centrally located 1 minute from stores and restaurants and 1 minute from the beach. I think it's my first Airbnb experience where the place was bigger and nicer than I thought it would be. She responds very quickly and her sister and family are right there.

A beautiful, contemporary apartment overlooking the ocean in Yelapa with Air Conditioned. Centrally located close to the pier and the center of the village. The location is close to the restaurants, grocery stores, 7 min from the waterfall, beach inmediately below.
The main space of the open floor plan over looks the bay of Yelapa, where you can relax in the hammock and enjoy the breeze off the ocean. The kitchen comes with a refrigerator, gas range, microwave, coffee maker and cookware and dinner wear. the large bedrooms has plenty of drawers and closet space.
We are next to the museum and the restaurant cafe eclipse, the house is in the middle of the grocery stores and the best restaurants. This is downtown, so there is people go and back around. There are no banks or ATMS in Yelapa so we recommend you to bring cash. Pesos for groceries, souvenirs, restaurants. Dollars for activities tend to be prefered- We can help you to set up fishing trips, snorkeling, paragliding, horse back riding or other things will need to be paid in cash.
  • Casa Yolanda has one of the most beautiful views I've ever seen. If you're considering staying in Yelapa, I highly recommend this home! The house is very close to the dock and close to all the amenities of the town of Yelapa, including a little market and folkloric dancing right at the ground level certain days of the weeks. A heads up that the bars and restaurants close by can be pretty noisy in the evenings.

Small tree house like space with palapa roof, amazing views of the infinity pools and the ocean. It is just above the organic juice bar and the ocean water heated pool. It is great for a single traveler with a sense of adventure.
  • A few excellent days to rest, the place is beautiful. The only awkward thing is that there is not much privacy inside the room if there are many guests. It is important to consider that the pool bath is used.

  • I left Yelapa in love !!! It is a magical place and in Pura Vida they manage to connect with that harmony between nature and the spaces that invite you to relaxation, meditation and especially connection with nature because it has its adventure. In other comments they have already given some practical advice to follow as it is a bit far from the town it is better to bring a lamp in case they return in low light, bring a mosquito repellent and other things that the hosts can solve, their attention is what Better, with familiarity. Pura Vida, I will definitely return.

It is literal steps down to the beach, full kitchen with pots, pans, cups, etc. water pressure is great, everything was up to date and just great. THE VIEW is unbeatable. Everyone in the office on site was super nice and very helpful. I will definitely come back here to stay again and will recommend to my friends.

  • We loved our stay at the Garcia Rentals. Yelapa is a magical place and it's so special to have a full view of the main beach and surrounding mountains. You are steps from the beach and a short walk to town- a perfect location. We had our 1 year old daughter and we were provided with a travel crib which is a very nice feature. There was also papaya in the fridge upon arrival which was delicious. The bed was firm and comfortable. If traveling in the winter remember to bring warm clothing for for early mornings and night time. We will be back for sure. Thank you for your hospitality!

  • When we stay in Yelapa, it’s never long enough. Garcia’s is a great place to stay, amazing view, clean rooms, full amenities and great people. The beach out front is a nice place to spend the day. The beds at all of the Garcia unit’s we’ve stayed in are very comfortable. We love staying here and will be back soon!

  • Erik and García Rentals were the best hosts ever!! The apartment is in the perfect location, had the most amazing views, and the best use of space. The living room is the most epic place to hang out and it was right on the best part of the beach. We all loved it so much. We could live there year round! Thank you so much for hosting us!! (A note* make sure to ask for a mosquito net if you’re sleeping on one of the outdoor beds!)

  • We we loved our stay at Garcia rentals! It was a very magical and amazing place to stay! Location was excellent as it was right on the beach with chairs and umbrellas included and easy walking to the town and restaurants. My 6 year old loved playing in the waves at the beach and exploring the town. The only problem was that we didn't stay long enough!Next time we will stay at least a week!

The Neighborhood is quiet and tropical and Casa Coco Palma is in a great space with traditional Palm roof. There is a sink at the casa but the shower and toilet are located in a shared separate area that is about 60 steps away.
3. There is also a lovey beach of many long-time Yelapans l(Playa Isabel) only 5 minutes from our casitas. The rental includes   sheets, towels, wash clothes, kitchen utensils We are artists and  our place has    an artist’s look-  If you are looking for an all white condo look this is not that-   Our casitas have an artistic flavor with ceramic sculptures and a Bohemian flavor. It is right down to the sea and you can dip into the ocean anytime you wish ... a 10-minute walk into the heart of of Yelapa, another few minutes and you are near and the river to the public beach
  • Antonia's house it's very convenient for many reasons: basically you will have your own beach 6 meters from your door which it's amazing, comfortable mattress and very friendly and open minded person

  • Great peaceful location with your own beach just out the gate. Hosts are super friendly and helpful.. loved our time here! Just far enough away from the center of town to feel like you're 'going home' at night.

  • Antonia was a friendly, accommodating host! Touch base in advance as it's a bit hard to find.
