Campground
“Beautiful hiking, canoeing, skiing trails. A Minnesota gem located across the river from a Wisconsin gem of the same name! Also has river boat tours that are spectacular in the fall.”

“Situated among three lakes about 45 minutes northeast of the Twin Cities is, arguably, one of the most beautiful wineries and vineyards in the state. Part of the Three Rivers Wine Trail, WineHaven is a family-owned operation that not only produces award-winnings but also a wide variety of honeys. They offer wine tastings five days a week Thursday through Monday at one of the lowest price tags around: six samples for $5.00. Try Slippery Slop Ice Wine made from frozen grapes, Deer Garden Red, or their fruit and honey mead wines.”

“The Saint Croix River Valley has bragging rights to some of the best landscapes in northern Minnesota, including the Wild Mountain Winery property. The winery and vineyard are surrounded by lush greenery in the summer and colorful foliage in the fall. Make a trek to the tasting room about an hour northeast of the Twin Cities Thursday through Saturday, when you can try six wines for $8, or bring your sweetheart and sample 12 wines for $15. Bring home local cheeses, chocolates, syrups and other locally made gifts, and don’t forget to stock up on bottles of Elmer’s White and Arrowhead Red.”

“Best burger's in town and homemade fries (you watch them be cut and cooked right in front of you). Hole-in-the-wall biker vibe where the locals like to hang out. Walking distance from the Inn. They, too, have a fabulous outside space overlooking Cascade Falls!”

“Nestled in the quaint little small town of Taylor's falls, this is a locally owned coffee shop you won't want to miss. They have all of your basic coffee choices to choose from as well as teas, and a few bakery options such as their delicious homeade morning buns (must try) or grab a vegan granola bar to go with your drinks. They also sell bulk coffee so you can have some at home! Weather permitting, there is a lovely patio out back surrounded by trees or a covered porch out front to enjoy your drinks on or there are multiple tables to sit at inside or a bar with stools where you can watch the barista make the drinks. Head over to the local drive in or hike at nearby Interstate Park along the river after enjoying your cup of coffee. Important to note, they take CASH ONLY so make sure you have some on you before going!”
