“Open Sunday mornings, this is the farmers market to go to if you want delicious local fare. Award-winning market. Don't eat breakfast first - you'll regret it! Take a bag, as the market doesn't have plastic bags and you'll be wanting to fill it up. Eftpos available on site.”

“Puriri Hills produces wines that stand well beside the greats of the “right bank”. Their blends are proprietary and reflect the percentages of Merlot, Carmenere, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec in their five acre vineyard. Low-yielding vines are manicured by hand. The wine is handmade, barrel aged, bottled and stored on the estate. Puriri Hills’ cellar door: 398 North Road, Clevedon, is open most weekends Sat. and Sun. from 1-4 PM, other times by appointment. Do telephone 09 2929264 to confirm, as the winemaker conducts all tastings and is sometimes not available. ”

“Craft beers and restaurant. What they say about themselves: Like with our handcrafted beers, you won’t find any packet-mix nonsense in our kitchen restaurant, it’s all about fistfuls of freshness. So fresh in fact we pluck the fruit and veg from our own kitchen garden as much as we can. We bake our own bread and make our own sauces. Our eggs are laid by our free roaming brewery chooks. If you listen, you’ll hear they hiccup rather than cluck. And just at walking distance, how convenient ;-)”
