Just booked in Clinton

A single bed for when you're stuck at the airport. Also give me enough time and ill come pick you up. I also am looking at upgrading the room a bit so feel free to leave a note on anything you want improved or renovated.
The space will comfortably fit one person but there is a couch in emergencies.
She is super nice!! Also occasionally give out cookies, no joke, just an awesome human being.
  • If you have an early flight out of PIT, as I did, this is the place to stay. You'll want to avoid the ongoing bridge and tunnel closures from downtown and to the airport due to construction. As others have noted, the bed is very comfortable, the sheets clean, and Joel uses a nice smelling fabric softener.. The WIFI is the fastest I've EVER used. My electronics didn't know what hit 'em. Keep in mind, this is not the Ritz-Carlton, but it's also not $ 500 a night. It is cheap! Joel was also kind to accommodate my last minute flight change and let me hang out a little later than I planned to. The neighborhood is somewhat rural / suburban, so, naturally, it will be easier for those with cars. There's a Primanti Bros 3 minutes from his house (a Pittsburgh staple and classic), a good breakfast place called Eggs N'at, and two beautiful public parks minutes away. Thank you, Joel.

  • Joel was a friendly and accommodating host. Cute place, would stay again!

  • I only stayed here for a weekend and Joel was such a great host. He has done really amazing job and I really appreciate all the help he did for me. He was really thoughtful person and he has really great hospitality to his guest. I felt really comfortable at his place. The house was clean, everything was organized and great location. I would stay here again if I had a chance to stay.

  • We didn't interact much with Joel, but he was very nice. He accommodated our uncertain arrival (we were flying standby), and helped out with directions when we overshot the house. He was immediately available upon our arrival to give a tour of the space and answered all of our questions. The space was dustier and less tidy than we expected; it seemed like the house was in the middle of renovation(s). If I were staying for more than a couple of nights, I would have felt strongly about the doors having locks and the windows being covered. All in all, the space was definitely worth the very reasonable price, and staying with Joel really did feel like staying with a friend. I would stay again and would recommend it.

  • 3rd time and still as good as the 1st. Joel makes you feel like you are at your own home. I'll be back!

    Chuck2016-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Best kept secret for Pittsburgh, particularly if flying out early in the AM. I'll be back!

    Anthony2016-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Joel was fantastic! I had gotten lost trying to find a restaurant for dinner and he was available when I arrived. He showed me everything I needed to know, including WIFI password, and we chatted for a good while. Found out we were both veterans and enjoy doing our own remodeling projects. Even though I only spent one night, Joel more than met my expectations and made my first Airbnb experience a positive one! Thank you, Richard

Newly remodeled 1 bedroom efficiency apt. with everything you will need for a comfortable stay. Minutes from the airport and a short drive to downtown Pittsburgh. Plenty of shopping and dining nearby. Perfect for out of town guests & business travelers. Live far from the airport and have an early flight? Come stay at Cozy in Coraopolis.
  • I loved the location, it was off the main strip so it was quiet but it was quick to get to anything. Downtown was about 15-20 minutes away. The place was great and perfect, we were in town for a wedding so it was 1 mile each way and it's right near the airport. It had towels, dishes & everything that a hotel would offer. Totally worth the money!

  • Mark's place was much bigger and nicer than it appeared in image. Extremely comfortable, spacious and immaculate. One of the best values I've experienced through Air Bnb. Also, very convenient with keyless entry. I highly recommend Mark's place and will stay again next time I'm visiting the Pittsburgh area.

Apartment is in a quiet neighborhood surrounded with lots of green areas that created feeling like being in nature, yet close to shops and restaurants. Mark was available for us whenever we needed him - in a sentence, we absolutely recommend it :)

  • I and two of my colleagues visited Pittsburgh for business meetings. We stayed at Boom's place. It was a very nice experience. Boom answered all the questions very quickly. All of us enjoyed our stay.

    Asif2017-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Steve was easy to work with and very responsive. He set up a “white noise” machine and placed it outside the bedroom in which our 11-month old grandson slept, and he checked in with us to make sure everything was going okay. His house is a bit “eclectic” with its rocks, railroad certificates and maps — but we all enjoyed the exploration!

    Joan2016-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • this was my first experience with AIRbnb and it was great I am hooked and will use again. Boom's house was prefect for our stay the neighborhood was nice and quite. the house was very clean and welcoming. Boom himself was very nice offering us a ride from the airport if we needed it. I would recommend his rental very highly.

  • Talk about a retreat, this house is fantastic. Relaxing on the patio and enjoying a home cooked meal was the perfect way to unwind after a long day on the road. Boom is an absolute pleasure, and an incredible host. Boom is friendly, hospitable and sent me on my way with an incredible care package that got me all the way to Texas. I will definitely be back to stay with Boom anytime I am in the Pittsburgh area.

It's a 4 bdrm house on 5 private, wooded acres with great views from the suite. There's a large deck and porch where you can watch the deer, turkeys, birds and other friendly animals at the feeding area. Guests would have a private entrance off the Porch and deck area, which also leads down to the back yard. The actual guest space is a large studio type suite with sm. fridge, microwave and coffee pot, decorated in rustic Western/ Native American style.
the suite is off of the porch/deck. I'm in a park like setting and the space is comfortably large with nice views from all the large windows.
my neighborhood is unique because I'm in the middle of several acres but near almost everything. My favorite restaurant/pub is right up the street from me with great food, drinks and people.
  • Kathy is a fantastic host and the space is a delight to stay in. As I pulled up the first day a big turkey strutted across the driveway :-). Great value, wonderful host, and a relaxing stay.

    Rachel2017-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great AirBNB. Place was super cozy and welcoming. Kathy went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed. Wonderful location if you want proximity to the airport. Will definitely stay again when coming back to Pittsburgh.

    Rick2016-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • The space is more than acceptable. My only negatve would be that I did not allow myself enough time to enjoy the scenery or enough time to sit out on he (very) large deck and sip a cup of coffee. Kathy, the host, delighted me with more than 30 minutes of great conversation and stories. My stay was made even a tad better as I was greeted with a small refrigerator filled with chilled drinks and several snacks. Check in and check out was smooth. Communication with the host was prompt. Overall, my stay was extremely positive. I would recommend the space to any traveling professional or small family (there is a single bed in the space next to the full-sized primary bed).

    Gregory2017-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great place if you like the small town vibe. Also Kathy recommended the Reuben fritters at the pub down the road they were delish. Definitely a great place to stay!

    Manny2017-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay, wish we could have stayed longer !We enjoyed the scenery and the country feel ! Great amenities, and we even saw a bunch of wild turkey's in the driveway. Would love to come back and stay again, Kathy is a great host, very accommodating!

    Bridget2016-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • The place was very nice and Kathy was easy to communicate with.

    Dawn2016-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • I have enjoyed staying at Kathy's very much! She is a great host! Her location is really super. The setting is wooded with a bit of wildlife around. From the front porch rocking chair I can watch the turkeys that come by and a variety of birds land and fly from the bird feeders along with the squirrels that visit to steal bird food. Several deer have also stopped in to say hello which is very exciting to see! I've enjoyed her lovely pool but my favorite is sitting on the front porch rocking chair and watching the earth's creatures visit. It has been a welcome experience here at Kathy's! It's a sense of country living with the amenities of a city just minutes away. I very highly recommend Kathy's location! Her hospitality can't be beat!

  • My stay at Joel's place was exactly what I was looking for. It was a good value and I would stay there again!

    Joseph2017-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Rented Joel's place for two days to catch an early flight at Pittburgh International Airport. His place was very cheap at the time of my stay (advertised as being in renovation), but still with access to the whole house, sans his room and the room of another AirBnB renter. A little organizing and he could probably offer his place for 2-3x the price; but for my purpose at that time, his place was great. Recommended.

    Joseph Edgar2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to spend a quick night. It was near the interstates and had a comfortable bed and hot water. Perfect place for the price range. Host responded quickly and was very friendly.

  • Loved the location ... trains were a bit noisy but that added to the charm

    Ron2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great location for us, our relatives are a short walk from here. Apt was clean, bright and the train wasn't an issue. We like having windows open, but there didn't seem to be too many that stayed open or had a screen - we just propped open one that did have a screen and it was fine. Will definitely stay again on our next visit to see family!

    Maura2017-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was great about this place. We went for a Steelers home game and it was only a 15 minute drive to the stadium. Yeah there's a train that passes by closely here, every now and then, but it was of no trouble for our stay. Communication was great and we had everything we needed on our stay. Great neighborhood to jog in as well. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place!

    Nelson2017-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • This spot in Sewickley is a cozy space. Sewickley, a suburb of a suburb of Pittsburg has an old small town feel. Super quiet even considering a train runs close by (across the street in fact). The pros: apartment was nice and clean, as well as, located in a safe neighborhood and a secured space. The cons: mattresses weren't as good as I'm used too, and the TV's were dated. It serves it's purpose well, I would recommend.

    Taylor2016-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • This place was nice, really clean and spacious. The owners were really good about communicating with us via email (we didn't actually meet them). The only critique would be that it is right near the train tracks, so you can hear trains every so often throughout the night. Other than that, a great experience!

    Claire2015-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Responsive and the setting was as advertised. Make sure the apartment has moe warmth.

    Gary2016-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This was the first time my husband and I did Airbnb. Maegans home was absolutely perfect! It was more then what we were expecting. She gave me step by step instructions for when we were to arrive, she wrote everything down that's available to use in the apartment and how to use them, she even went above and beyond by putting some breakfast snack in the fridge for us! I highly recommend this location, beautiful & quiet neighborhood minutes away from a small town and only a 15-20 minute drive to the City!

  • I enjoyed my stay in Sewickley. It is a great neighborhood and location, easy to get to my job near the airport, nice YMCA in town, and quaint town atmosphere. William was quick to respond to my reservation and easy to arrange an arrival time with. Breakfast at 7:30 each morning was great. I would highly recommend staying here.

  • Having family in Sewickley gives us the opportunity to visit the Pittsburgh area, except for the challenge of finding accessible, comfortable and interesting places to stay. Recently, when planning other road trips, we have been exploring alternatives to the typical hotel chains. After driving up from Richmond VA. we like to be in surroundings with "character"-hard to do and not drive 30-45 minutes to and from Pittsburgh at all hours of the day and night. We explored airbnb and the Hittinger Retreat was the perfect respite! A gorgeous home in the walkable Glen Osbourne borough and so close to family! A separate entrance, beautifully furnished and comfortable bedrooms and living space gave us ample room and a wonderful place to unwind. Bill even provided a healthy breakfast tray complete with coffee, fruit, yogourt and muffins, a real treat to wake up and not have to go out in search of morning coffee "and"! We highly recommend the Hittinger Retreat!

  • Bill and Pat make you welcome from the first moment you arrive to their beautiful home! I was visiting my hometown for several events and I loved being within walking distance to town, without being right in the thick of the Village. I had use of two bedrooms, two baths and a large sitting area, and private stairs for coming and going. Also, a lovely tray of coffee, toast, yoghurt and fruit each morning. Heavenly! The home is beautifully decorated and oozing old world charm and grace from a previous era. I loved it!

  • Amazing home, amazing host. We had coffee and a light breakfast waiting for us each morning, located in beautiful Sewickley Pa, the home was comfortable and easily accessible to everything you needed, highly recommend staying here if your in the area...thanks again Bill!!

    William2017-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • I just completed my second stay at Bill's Sewickley Retreat and I loved it. I stayed for 10 days, while visiting family in Sewickley. It's perfect for me because it's just minutes away from my daughter's home--but anyone would enjoy being there! It's a lovely home in a beautiful little village, and the amount of room--the entire third floor--is just great. The pictures posted here don't even do it justice (and I'm not sure why the listing says 1 bedroom when there actually are 3!) Wi-fi, TV and a great breakfast every morning--and Bill even gave me a ride to the airport when I left. This is a beautiful home and Bill and Pat are gracious hosts--I highly recommend this place for a relaxing place to make your home base while visiting in the Pittsburgh area.

My place is close to great views, the city center, and parks. You’ll love my place because of the views and the coziness. My place is good for couples and families (with kids).
It is newly decorations and close by the river, it is cozy and modern house with all LED lights, the kitchen with all granite and cabinets, all appliances are new, all bedrooms have desk and chairs, it is good for business trip also, the space is spacious, great view and it is fast travel to Heinz Field and downtown Pittsburgh. we have a parking space for 2 cars.
It is relatively quite and safe neighborhood, but have train pass by couple times a day
  • Very clean and cute house!

  • Very well kept, and adequate for my family's needs.

    Skye2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • The space was spacious and very near our meeting place and convenient to Pittsburgh making it the perfect location for us. View of the river is very nice, wish it had been warmer so we could have enjoyed the backyard!

    Lois2017-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Xin's place for 1 night with 3 other buddiez. He was a very good host, showed me around when I first arrived and made sure I knew where everything was. Great spacious 2 floor house with all amenities needed. Nice backyard with a view of the Ohio River. Roughly 20 minutes driving from downtown Pittsburgh. Highly recommend.

    Brendon2016-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • The house has a large first floor and two decent sized bedrooms. The kitchen and dining room are nice. The location is right next to a train that runs all day/night. My family was able to sleep through it, but it is quite noticeable and potential renters should know that when they make their decision. There was no wifi or TV service when we were there, although it was advertised that there was. Given the location and the lack of wifi/TV, I felt that this house was overpriced.

    Katrina2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Xin was an excellent host. The house itself is a very easy (19 min) drive from downtown Pittsburgh, making it ideal for people who want to visit the city AND do some auxiliary exploring. Very clean and private. The views off the back porch of the river at sunset were great.

    Ryan2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Nice for the location and money

    Arthur2017-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • The house is very nice and has a new kitchen. The view out the back yard was beautiful as well. We didn't get a chance to go fishing because it was winter but had we rented this house during fishing season it would of been perfect!

Our 1920s house has been lovingly restored with original hardwood floors and lots of craftsman details. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, stove and microwave. There are multiple couches for lounging in. Great for kids!
Large backyard with patio furniture and charcoal grill. There is space for an air mattress downstairs and two couches if you'd like to sleep more than 4 guests. Lots of on street parking. We have a great playroom for kids.
    Quiet working class neighborhood.
  • Erica's home is very clean and nicely decorated. The accommodations were perfect for four adults (two couples). As the listing indicates, it would also be perfect for a family with small children. The location was ideal for us, since we were spending time with family in Aliquippa, Monaca and other spots in Beaver County. Erica responded to all our messages quickly leading up to and throughout our stay. Her directions were clear and easy to follow. Sharing the full house with my sister and her husband was much nicer than staying in a hotel, especially for a weekend back in our hometown.

    Jason2016-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed spending the weekend in Erica's home. It was very homey. And a great place to stay while visiting my sister in Ambridge.

    Melissa2015-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Erica's home was great. Since we were there at Christmas it was nice to walk in and see a Christmas tree lit. The home was clean and comfortable. Would choose this home again on the next visit.

    Janice2015-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • The house is located at least 35 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh but was close enough to the location that i needed to travel to. Communication with Erica was excellent. The house is tastefully decorated and it looks the owners actually leave there, so I had everything that I needed available to me. I wanted to stay a bit longer but the timing could not work for both of us. I would definitely stay there again if the need arise and the house is available. Erica, cannot thank you enough for allowing to share your space.

    Pierre2015-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Erica's home was perfect for my husband and I and daughter to visit family in Ambridge. We enjoyed coffee each morning with the sun shining in the kitchen. We ate out each day but the kitchen appeared to be stocked with enough kitchenware to be able to prepare meals. The beds were comfortable, there were loads of towels and blankets and Erica and Zac were very helpful. A good base for visiting family.

    Joe and Anna2015-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Erica made the entire experience very simple and enjoyable. She has a very cool historic home with some character. Very nice updates. Easy getting into the city and to the airport.

    Bernard2015-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Erica's a great host. The home was clean and exactly as charming as it appears in the photos. There were functioning AC units in both bedrooms upstairs. Our little one had a great time playing in the playroom and the house has been made child-friendly. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. Erica was very quick to respond to any inquiries we had. This house is an easy 30 minute drive to the Children's Museum in Pittsburgh. Even though the house lies on the outskirts of Pittsburgh, it was easy to access the city.

    Rita2016-07-09T00:00:00Z

  • Great place, the apartment was exactly as Deb described it on her post: very charming and clean. food was great too, right on time and warm.

    Roberta2015-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • The OLd Economy B&B suite was very nice, clean and comfortable. But our view was a junky used car lot. The host could have been friendlier and more welcoming. We skipped breakfast but took the muffins with us for the road trip. The muffins were not good and made us sick. We would not stay there again.

    gloria2013-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed 3 nights and loved the place! It is really lovely, nicely decorated, not too many fussy nic-nacs. Breakfast each morning was delicious. Had a little trouble with reservation communications I think maybe my emails were going to junk mail and didn't get some of them. Thank you again, I definitely plan on staying at Old Economy Inn next time I come out.

    Nancy2014-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • James (Jim) not only greeted me outside, but led me by motor scooter to the second B&B location, which is just as historic-designed and decorated as the first was advertised, only blocks away. I was welcomed not only with a beverage, but with muffins for breakfast (and o.j., coffee/cream in fridge) , since I had to depart for a client quite early and had to decline Debra's hot breakfast. Immaculate, period-decor, most comfy mattress in a long time, and quiet night.

    Jean2015-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed two nights at the Old Economy B&B. The suite was beautiful, very clean, well furnished and anything we could've needed was provided. Breakfast was delicious and couldn't go wrong with any of the options on the menu. Debra was very accommodating, and made sure we were comfortable and feeling welcome. It's a short drive from downtown Pittsburgh and was nice to have a quiet place to stay after a long day of exploring the city, and also get a feel for the nice historic town the B&B is located in.

    Raul2014-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay. Very nice place. The friendship suite has 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom with sink toilet and a bathroom with a tub/shower. We unfortunately came in late and slept too late for breakfast but they left some delicious muffins for us. I would definitely stay here again.

    Todd2014-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay. Comfy bed, tasty breakfast, welcoming hosts. Everything you want for an enjoyable stay.

    Howard2015-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • We very much enjoyed our stay. Our suite was very clean and well appointed. We received our breakfast at exactly our requested time and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a kitchen with only one thing missing...a toaster! Other wise I would highly recommend staying here. Also, the neighborhood was quiet and parking plentiful.

This is a great place for someone coming to work in the area on contract work. Its close to the I 79 exit to Pittsburgh, surrounding areas like Cranberry, Beaver Co. Moon Twp. Need a shower/home cooked meal? Burgers, Lasagna, Spaghetti, whatever? Just passing through? Truckers welcomed. Clean, remodeled, new bedding, washed between all bookings.
I can accommodate more adult guests if they want to sleep on the floor in a sleeping bags. I have a pull out bed upstairs and a twin bed upstairs, but you would all be sleeping in different rooms. Also, I have a air mattress if anyone is willing to sleep on the floor.
It's mostly older adults who live here.

  • Nice quiet place. Big Space. The host is flexible and really nice.

    Daniela2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Guys, her pictures really don't do the place justice. It's an entire basement with a huge bed, a NICE bathroom and an entire sitting room just to hang out in. The rest of the house has a deck in the back and a few rooms to hang out in. The kitchen is nice to. And the place is very clean. She's a great host. She cooked me dinner and insisted that I eat pancakes the next morning. She'll hang out with you if you want, or not. She even picked me up off the bus line. There really isn't a nicer person to stay with. The place IS a little out of the way. It's near Ambridge so you're maybe 20 - 30 minutes outside of town but if you can get past that it's well worth the trip.

My home is close to Pittsburgh airport, Settler's Ridge, the Mall at Robinson, I-376, I-79, PA turnpike, and downtown Pittsburgh. My house is large and cozy and on 3 acres, so it is very private. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Kids are welcome. I only have 1 queen bed on my 2nd floor, but I have a queen size air mattress that can be set up in the other spare bedroom on the 2nd floor, perfect for kids!
It is a very contemporary house in a private setting but close to the airport, shopping and downtown Pittsburgh. It is a great neighborhood to go for a walk or run and 5 minutes from the Montour Trail.
The neighborhood is great. It is great for walking/running and the people are some of the nicest people I have ever met.
  • Maria was a great host. Her house is brand new, very clean and comfortable. You get the upstairs to yourself which is two rooms (one with a t.v. and Amazon prime) and a full bathroom. Way better than any hotel.

    Michael2016-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Maria was an amazing host! We were her first Airbnb guests! Her house is beautiful and set in an idyllic location with a gorgeous deck facing the creek, a comfortable indoor living space, and a spacious and cozy guest bedroom/bathroom. It's the perfect place for those looking to be close to the airport, a short distance from the business of downtown, or want a really relaxing escape. Maria had everything we could have needed for our stay! I would have booked another night just to sleep in that bed! The most comfortable bed I've slept in in a long time! Her dogs Harley and Davidson are super friendly and love to meet new people! I highly recommend staying with Maria!

    Dacia2016-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay with Maria and her two adorable dogs! She was so friendly and welcoming! This was our first Airbnb experience and we would definitely do it again. Staying at Maria's was like having our own private suite. And her location looking out over the woods was just lovely. It might be a bit out of the way for some folks, but it fit our needs perfectly. Thank you, Maria!

This apartment is close to everything Pittsburgh has to offer. The close proximity to the airport allows guests to get settled in fast. Located along the RT. 79 corridor, downtown Pittsburgh, Robinson Twp., or Washington, Pa is just a short commute. Located just across the Ohio river along RT65 you will find Sewickley with some nice bars and restaurants.
The apartment provides an at home feel instead of staying at a hotel. You will be able to stay in and cook your own meals rather than having to eat out constantly if you're staying in a hotel that doesn't have a kitchen.
  • Carlo's place is a quiet place to tap into any place in Pittsburgh. We were able to jump on 79 and get anywhere quickly. Carlo is a great host and you will enjoy your stay on Neville Island!

    Drew2017-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • Carlo ensured that he was there to greet us upon arrival and made sure we had everything we required, he arrived early and turned on the air conditioners. He took the time to tell us about some great local restaurants and places to visit. On the Saturday he did a follow up text to make sure all was well. A very responsible host. We have travelled for our daughters hockey for many years and the thought of staying in a loud, busy and noisy hotel has more than lost it’s shine. I rate a successful stay on a couple of very important things, is the bed comfortable, is the shower good and is the facility clean and enjoyable to stay in, all above expectation. The two nights we stayed we slept right through the night and enjoyed the quiet location but what I personally enjoyed were the freshly laundered soft sheets on the bed and the same for the towels. Hotel laundry is full of chemicals, this laundry was like you had just taken it from the dryer at home, a definite plus. The apartment was exactly as shown in the pictures, no surprises. Carlo provides most of the incidentals that the hotels do so even if you’ve forgotten your toothbrush, you will find one in the bathroom medicine cabinet, coffee for the morning and a cold beer waiting for you in the fridge. We brought a couple of chicken pot pies with us and had dinner ready for our daughter and some of her team mates. On a side note, don’t let the appearance of the neighbourhood fool you. We found it to be very quiet and the people that lived in the others buildings polite and friendly. At no time did we feel anything but safe and welcome, parking was a breeze. Any parents that have children attending RMU should think about staying here, especially if your child is still in residence. You can cook them a home cooked meal and have them stay over. Doesn’t replace home but it sure is nice to have the privacy and warmth you miss while your child is away.

    Colette2016-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Carlo was extremely responsive and helpful of any questions I had and his place was very homey and nicely put together. It met both the needs of my boyfriend and I and we had a great stay. I will definitely look for a place belonging to Carlo in the future.

    Danielle2016-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • Carlo was super friendly and very helpful. The place was quiet and parking was easy. There is a gas station close by and you can see the river from his place.

    Dan 2017-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is the second time my boyfriend and I have stayed here. We love this location. It's small, but extremely homely and in a great location. It's close to Robinson and not far from the city. It's quiet and extremely safe. We have stay at Carlo's and I have booked with his wife Erica as well. They both have great places in very safe and nice neighborhoods. Will definitely do business with them in the future.

    Danielle2017-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is a super functional and affordable apartment. It is very well equipped with everything that you need for an extended stay. The internet is fast, and while there isn't actual cable TV, there is a Roku so as long as you have your cable provider info, you can watch most of the network shows on it. There are enough dishes, pots and pans to get the job done. Carlo was very responsive with any issues that arose. It is in a location that is easy to get on and off the highway. It's not really fancy, but very functional so if that is what you are looking for it is great.

    Timothy2016-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Our host was in contact with us weeks before our trip. He made sure we had an easy and trouble free check in. He checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. Even have us great dinner suggestions. The neighborhood was 20 mins from our destination which was great because we never got caught in crazy traffic. A great accommodation.

    Susan2016-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • Pictures are true to what the place actually looks like. Carlo was easy to communicate with and was a great host. The apartment doesn't seem like it is in the safest area (not what I'm used to) but didn't have any problems. It is about 20-30 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh depending on traffic and which part you need to go to. I would stay there again.

  • We enjoyed our stay with Grace very much! She was a gracious host and has a lovely home. We had the entire lower level , which includes a spacious living room, small kitchen, private bath in addition to the bedroom. Everything was neat and clean. We also spent time talking with her and her family. We conversed in Chinese as it was easier but I'm sure anyone would feel comfortable staying there. It was wonderful to have the opportunity to get to know Grace and her family. We will definitely visit again the next time we are in town!

I had spinal surgery two years ago and this came up during casual conversation when I stayed with him the first time. When I arrived to stay this time, I found that he had swapped the mattress with a more firm mattress. He explained that he had done so to accommodate a better sleep for me. This is just one example of many I could mention where he went went above and beyond what is typical for a host. Two thousand miles away from home, a stranger to me three weeks ago is now someone I consider a friend.

  • Joseph was great - he came through with a room at the last minute, went out of his way to provide everything needed, even lent some needed toiletries. Very friendly, very professional!

  • Joseph bent over backwards to ensure I had a great place to stay in Pittsburgh. Highly recommended host!

  • Joeseph was so great and made sure I was comfortable during my stay. He also checked in throughout my stay to make sure everything was still good and offered to make recommendations of things to do in the area. He was also super flexible when my plans changed a little, which was fantastic.

  • Very nice place, relaxing location and great host.

    Axel2016-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Dawn was warm and inviting both on the phone, when texting as well as in person to greet me. I photo of the outside would have assured me I had arrived at the right place as there are several structures. It was immaculate! The badee was a delightful surprise! Many amenities. Tastefully decorated. I was thrilled to stay there.

    Johanna2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • The place was beautiful. Dawn was very friendly and met us right when we arrived. She gave us a thorough tour of the space, and provided info about the area around us. She was easy to contact and made it clear she was there if we needed anything. Did I mention the space was beautiful? Was nicely furnished, very clean, with a large bathroom.

  • This was a fantastic little place to stay while on my business trip. I was greeted by a beautiful and secluded suite that made me feel right at home. Quiet and cozy when I returned at night and easy to get to Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. I would definitely recommend staying here for a night or two for a get away or for business. The only thing I would raise caution to was the mouse that was going through the trash my final night at the place. I did warn Dawn and she answered immediately and assured me they would look into it. It startled me but I was fin and simply trapped the mouse in the trash can (it was probably there because I had left over food in there) and I brought the trash can outside. I only mention this because some people are terrified of mouses but I was fine. Other than that this was a fantastic place to stay and I hope I can come back when I’m in town. Thanks Dawn!

  • Dawn was an incredible host. Very kind and thoughtful. The suite is absolutely gorgeous. The mattress is so comfortable, we slept so well. The bathroom in the suite is brand new and beautiful. Absolutely spotless. This suite is like having your own private apartment. You have your own private entrance. We absolutely loved staying here. Dawn offers fresh made juices and a delicious homemade breakfast in the morning. It was such a treat. I would highly recommend staying here. You will love it.

  • What a beautiful suite tucked away in the hills of Pittsburgh! Although I was in town working long days - this was by far one of the best Airbnb's Ive had the pleasure of staying in - it was extremely private, cozy, clean, and a wonderful value. Dawn was wonderful in her communications with me. It was a long day on the road and she met me at the suite and provided me with a brief tour. The bed was amazingly comfortable, the bathroom immaculate with plenty of amenities and i enjoyed the convenience of a microwave and fridge. I wish I lived closer - I ditch my home and move in long-term! I highly recommend! Thank you Dawn!

Our place offers absolute solitude with deep woods and fields surrounding. It's close to The Shell Oil project in Monaca and is priced to encourage weekly stays. Good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and possibly for dogs.* (See dog note below.) This is a good place to get some serious writing done. Guests who embrace all aspects of rural lifestyle will love this place. *DOGS with prior approval only. We love dogs. There is a nice dog yard, but we wish to avoid damage.
This isn't an overstuffed "lived in" place. The kitchen is fully equipped including a new stove and microwave, a large fridge freezer, a blender and a coffee machine. There are pots and pans (including some cast iron) and a good variety of useful kitchen doo dads. The linens are brand new IKEA. The furnishings are bachelor pad basic but comfy and clean. Wireless internet and cable with basic broadcast and HBO because comcast insists on giving you HBO, so OK. This is twenty-year-old manufactured housing and there are quirks. For instance, the faux hot tub in the master bath does not work. There is a shower stall and there is a small bathtub in the small bathroom. There are worn spots and a few stains but we've kept up with the maintanace and the place it only semi-shabby and maybe semi-chic. You are in the middle of acres and acres of farmland and hilly woods. There are bugs and raccoons and deer and hawks and owls, etc.
If you are working on the Monaca Shell project this place is located about 6 miles from there. We have priced it with a steep discount for weekly stays. SHOPPING is about six miles away. Fortunately, there is a really excellent pizza place a half mile away and a gas/convenience place about one mile away but that's it if you roll in late and are hungry. We have a few acres, much of it fairly steep ravines. The neighbors all own significant acreage so you really are in the middle of the woods. You will be aware of wildlife-- mainly raccoons and deer although we have heard coyote often at night. Raccoon Creek State Park is nearby and offers pleasant hiking trails as well as lake swimming in the summer.
  • Nan has been extremely helpful from time the trip was booked months in advance and after arriving. Look forward to staying here for the next few months and if in the area again will definitely check availability here first.

Welcome! This development is only a few years old and you'll find yourself staying in a large end unit with a view of the woods. This is everything a busy traveler could want as the area is comfortable, quiet and convenient to many popular parts of Pittsburgh and the Robinson Mall.
The house is only 2 years old. It has a first floor great room and master bedroom. The great room is open and has a kitchen with an island. lots of counters, dishwasher and side by side fridge. The first floor master includes a queen size bed and private bathroom with a walk in shower. There is also a ground floor powder room and deck. I've tried to make the ground floor a comfortable and calming space. The laundry on is on the first floor as well. Upstairs has two bedrooms, one with a full bed and the other has a twin that can be expanded further for you to customize. All bedrooms have dressers and desks. The loft has a twin sized futon. The second floor also has a full bath with double sinks.
We are right on the 376 about halfway between Pittsburgh International Airport and Downtown. Very close to the Mall at Robinson, groceries and other shopping and only about one mile from Settlers Cabin Park and an Allegheny County wave pool in season. http://www.alleghenycounty.us/parks/settlers-cabin/index.aspx .

  • Wonderful place! The three of us each had our own space and slept great. We had a conference to go to, so we appreciated the secluded nature of the place as we had work to do. But the place was conducive to conversation and light hanging out, the deck was dope, showers and everything super. Dominic was very responsive and accommodating. Only nice things to say.
