Welcome to our little garden of Eden! Settled between old grown trees and a 12 feet tall cedar fence the cottage offers a very warm and cozy private garden that ends up on your own dock with waterfront river access to the magestic Lake Memphrémagog. Get aboard your boat or your kayak and explore the beauty of Lake Memphrémagog, of Castle brook or Cherry River marsh. Only 10 minutes to Magog's downtown Main Street with local pub's, shops and grocery stores. Ten minutes in the opposite direction is the famous Mount Orford Provincal Park with it's popular ski resort and Golf course, not to mention the Nordic Spa only 5 minutes away from our doorstep. The chalet's interior has a unique style that calls for calm and relaxation. With a totally refurnished bathroom with multi-jet shower. Two very comfortable semi-private bedrooms, one with full Queen size bed and the second room with a double bed. Fully equipped kitchen with coffee machine. The chalet is dominated by a big old style fire place that just transcends relaxation ! We care to provide you with a clean and welcoming environment. We have your well-being at heart ! An over sized cedar picnic table that can sit 6-8 pers for the pleasure of relaxing or enjoying your BBQ made meals. You can relax by the water's edge or bring your bike to discover plenty of green highways. The Magog region is where the old colonial English loyalist style meets the original French culture. Wether you seek a family getaway ,a romantic hideaway or simply a place to curl up with a good book, come and enjoy our little corner of paradise ! Kick back and make yourself at home ! Looking forward to meeting you, Nancy, Reno and Laurence
Calm and quiet, the neighborhood has no street lights so the stars are beautiful !
  • Many of the reviews received by Nancy and Reno have already expressed what a wonderful, welcoming and charming place they have and especially their generosity! What makes their cottage a stand out place is all the little extras particularly those of us who enjoy cooking! Nancy was very accommodating with the various changes to my travel arrangements and was happy to facilitate as best she could. Anyone who is looking for a restful, quiet, cosy and comfortable place to stay should look no further than here! Highly recommended!

  • Nancy was a very gracious and helpful host and her cottage was a warm and comfortable place to stay on a couple cold January nights. Close to the lovely toe of Magog and a short ride to Sherbrooke. We'd gladly stay again.

  • A nice, cosy and private place to spend the weekend. Very well equipped and not too far from town

    Kelsey2016-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the cottage was more than I had expected! Nancy was terrific meeting with us and ensuring we were comfortable and that we had everything we needed for our stay. This little cottage is a jewel and we really loved the privacy and nature on the river. Very comfortable and will hopefully be able to stay here again next time we visit Canada.

  • We l (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) ed this cottage! It had everything we needed for a relaxing few days. Nancy was so welcoming...she stopped by when we arrived to get us settled and give us some good recommendations, as well as a delicious gift! The location was convenient to the Magog downtown area as well as Mt. Orford and other surrounding attractions. We could not have asked for a better place to stay.

    Jeffrey2016-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy and Reno were great hosts. They were very easy to reach and willing to help with anything we needed. They made us feel very welcome. The cottage was cozy, clean, and in a great area. Would definitely recommend it.

    Selena2016-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time at Nancy's cute little cottage! It was a great location and everything we needed was provided at the cottage. We couldn't have possibly asked for anything better!!! Nancy was the perfect host! We enjoyed exploring Magog and the surroundings and managed to do everything from a walk around the neighbourhood to a bike ride to a hike at mount Orford. The village is just a short drive away from the cottage and there are plenty of restaurants and shops to keep you entertained. We will be sure to go back to Magog and stay at the little blue cottage xx Baharak, Bruce & Kasm

  • Nancy was great with recommendations and directions. The chalet was a perfect spot for a weekend getaway, close to the Spa Nordic Station and downtown. The only negative was that the bed was a bit uncomfortable, but there are two to choose from.

Only a 5 min walk from the Foresta Lumina show ! - Warm and comfortable - Yurt for 1 to 4 people on a 9 acre forested land and permaculture cohousing project in development. Your hosts are both artist-architect and are always pleased to meet new people. We are living on the site along with our young boy and 3 silly charmy goats. Its a really nice place to discover with lot of things to do, like enjoying a campfire, visiting the Coaticook canyon and even relaxing in a sauna. Just come and see !
Calm and surrounded by green fields. Like a countryside island in a small town.
It is the best location for those who want to visit the Foresta Lumina show. A little 5 minute walk (just over the end of the street), far enough from noise and disturbances, close enough to save you parking time and fees.
  • Joel was very welcoming and ready to answer any questions. He was outside when we arrive to let us know where to park and which yurt we were to be using for the night. We were a bit later than 8 but that is because we were hunting murals in Sherbrooke and lost track of time. He made no mention of it. They were very gracious hosts. Joel's little family is very sweet. We were offered breakfast the next morning, however, we went into town on our way to Mount Pinnacle.

    Patricia2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Amazingly cute little town. Joel's place is one of a kind!

  • Beds were comfy, Joel & family were very kind and welcoming. Goats are friendly!

    Rene2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed this place. Stayed 1 night and would of stayed longer. Really friendly and relaxing. Good energy and goats were a bonus.

  • Lovely and quiet space, perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. It is close to town, and to the National park as well. It was clean and comfortable, tucked away in the forest, a truly relaxing experience.

    Silvia2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great and clean. They were great hosts and I had a wonderful time. Highly recommend:)

    Scott2016-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Although me and my girlfriend had only stayed one night, there was an immediate love and connection. The energy and spirit of the land and hosts was amazing and added to our magical experience for the weekend. It was only a 5 minute walk to Foresta Lumina and the bed was incredibly comfortable and clean, we had a fantastic sleep. I only wish we had more time to stay and enjoy the land and conversation with our hosts Joël and Chloe; they had a vast knowledge of the area and were very welcoming and great people. When I return to this area I will not even look for another place to stay. Highly recommend.

Surrounded by nature, you will have the opportunity to meet our 3 little goats, take nice walks in the calm Coaticook valley and pass the evening around a camp fire. There is even a sauna for relaxing ! Close to the Parc de la Gorge and the Foresta Lumina, we can get there by foot. We live on location with our son of 1 and a half years, its a warm and inviting destination that is waiting for you..
IMPORTANT NOTICE- the room is almost finished this year. (Certain aspects remain to be completed such as the finishing of the floor and the ceiling. The price is reduced for these reasons.
  • We had an idyllic stay with Joel and his young family. Both him and his wife gave us key insider tips on things to see in the area, and we had the best sleep in the yurt, which was in itself a wonder to behold. From the upper level of the yurt we were also able to watch the stars in the night sky. This artistic yurt is 100% highly recommended.

    Vivien2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • This was an amazing and magical place. The yurt is a work of art with a skylight on the top. Joel was so nice and considerate and it felt like I knew him already. He was very gracious and was one of the best hosts I ever had. He even made me coffee and breakfast in morning. If you're thinking about this place just book it. You won't regret!

  • Nice and private

    Ali2017-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • Joel and Chloe were amazing hosts! Their auberge is nothing short of a magical paradise. They allowed us to do our own thing but were also warm and inviting in the communal spaces and gave us guided tours of their projects and landscapes. We made lasting friends with other young families and enjoyed conversations and shared music and meal times. The accomodations were the perfect balance of being clean/renovated but also natural and rustic in the midst of gorgeous wilderness land. It was a total dream to stay in a wigwam inside a yurt, with a boat treehouse and a moon roof! t wait to go back!

    Andrea2017-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly. During our short one-night stay at the yurt, we spent some time getting to know Joël, Chloé, and their young son Oscar. We had great conversations around the fire in the evening, playing with the cuddly kittens and listening to Joël's dreams for the future and funny stories about their three goats. The yurt featured a very creative design concept, with a comfortable and adventurous vibe. In the morning, Joël showed us the nearby abandoned orchard and waterfall after making us coffee and giving travel tips. We would love to visit again someday!

    Leona2017-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Joël & Chloe were amazing hosts and they helped us find a great breakfast location for us to hunker down in. More importantly, the housing was extremely charming and exceeded our expectations!

    Brian2017-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely a one of a kind ! Beautiful place to stay! Joel and his family live on site and are very welcoming. It rained heavily for a few hours while we were there and it was so cool and peaceful to be in the yurt during a storm. They raise goats there and they're super cute and friendly! We were visiting coaticook to enjoy the Parc Gorge and Foresta Lumina. Both are great! A very unique experience and a perfectly unique Yurt to add to the adventure.

    Jessica2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Our time with Joel and Chloe was just lovely. Their execution of their vision for their home is truly amazing. My young daughter and I loved spending time outside, exploring and enjoying the landscape. We walked to Forest Illumina which was great. This is a wonderful place to commune with nature, for reflection, to simply be. We look forward to future stays.

  • Stephanes house was amazing. We only had the chance to stay for one night, but it was a wonderful time. Despite there being a 3 cats, the house was very clean. The kids loved having all the animals around. We had so much fun feeding the pigs in the morning (they were so cute and funny) and my youngest got a kick out of fetching eggs in the morning. We's love the chance to come back sometime.

    Sylke2017-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for a quiet retreat, this is it! Stephane was a great host and very kind, he even had a bonfire for us waiting our arrival. We loved the view from the swing, sitting by the fire and the animals. They're a friendly bunch. Although it doesn't feel like it when you're there, only a short drive to town, it's close to stores and restaurants. A fantastic spot!

    Callie2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely gem in the Eastern Townships! The view from the house is stunning, while the house is in a very quiet and rural area, it is also only 10 minutes from downtown Coaticook. Lots of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors in the area. The house has everything one needs and more: a very complete kitchen, a jacuzzi in the bathroom, a beautiful front porch, a comfy bedroom, three cats. Stéphane made sure our stay was comfortable, he was a very friendly guy, and even made a fire for us in the snow. I am allergic to cats, but with antihistamines it was fine: Stéphane cleaned well before we arrived, so there wasn't too much cat hair. Highly recommended!

  • Cool farm house with lots of character and functional accommodations. Host was friendly and convenient. Good value and pleasant surroundings.

    Brad2017-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • The only sad thing about our visit is that we had to leave! Too bad that we didn’t had more time to stay longer. Wonderful place in the middle of several farms. Very quiet, comfy and even a nice bonfire below the stars. Stephane made us feel at home since the very first moment.

    Daniel2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Stephane is an amazing host - kind, welcoming, supplying us with all the necessary information (including the degree to which each of the cats loves being petted) and he even prepared a fire pit in front of the house for our arrival! The house is very cozy with everything you need. If you love animals - this place would be better than a 5 star spa resort. We fell in love with the dog and the cats and everyone else immediately! The fields that surround the location are a real candy for a tired Montreal tourist's eyes, the nature around the house is just picturesque! Coaticook downtown is just 5-7 min drive away with some very tasty places, 10 min drive to Foresta Lumina. All of us were really excited and happy to stay at Stephane's place, it already feels like going back there one day! Would definitely recommend to anyone!

    Sasha2017-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Stéphane is a wonderful host and a very caring person. We had a great stay in his home. It is very clean and cozy. It is less than a 10 minute drive to Foresta Lumina. Coaticook ice cream is also very close by. This property is very family friendly; Stéphane has a variety of small farm animals. Thank you!

  • Superbe expérience, un magnifique gîte!

    Antoine2017-10-17T00:00:00Z

  • Patrick was great and very accommodating. We needed a place last minute and he was quick to respond and help us get settled. The place was comfortable and the view and hot tub were awesome.

  • Patrick's place was great! We stayed one night for Foresta Lumina and the house has everything you could ask for and more! It felt like a home away from home. Very clean, beautiful view, great vibe. Patrick was very friendly and helpful about all the activities around Coaticook. Can't wait to stay again next time!

    Melissa2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Patrick’s charming little cottage is nicely secluded and has a great little hot tub that made us want to stay longer. Just be aware that cell service is spotty at best and if you’re roaming you may pickup a U.S cell tower. We loved staying here and would gladly come back. Oh and the neighbours have two beautiful horses that were very friendly too!

    Martin2018-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great Place. Secluded getaway without internet (~20 mins drive from nearest town). A bit harder mattresses than I used to. but its subjective. sleeps 6 people. 2 separate and private rooms in a basement and a sofa in a living room. Hot tub is working just fine. Dont forget to heat it up before using. Its located in a shed/addition to the house not outside. Nice place to end a day after any activities. 5 out of 5

  • The house is very cute and neat. You can look at the star laying down on the bed on the top floor at night. We saw the milky way very well. The hosts communicated quickly with us and were quite responsive. The best part was that we met a hosts' relative and is also a honey maker on the same street. Got a taste of the amazing honey. Awesome stay! Would recommend to all.

  • A beautiful country home in stunning natural environs. Very comfortable for four people (two large beds) and a spacious kitchen. A great place to relax and disconnect, or also for Foresta Lumina (it's a smooth 20 minute drive). The hosts showed us around their beekeeping operation and generally were very helpful and hospitalble with country charm. Highly recommend the lovely beach at Lac Wallace just around the corner.

  • We came to the area from Montreal to attend Foresta Lumina and had such a lovely stay! It was a perfect place to get out of the city for the weekend. We were suppose to hike the gorge the following day but instead sat out on the porch relaxing and enjoying the quiet. Nathalie was incredibly pleasant and it was lovely to know that her brother was just down the road with all his bees! Would definitely stay again if we're ever out that way!

  • What a gem, we absolutely loved everything about this place, it’s secluded and away from everything which is exactly what we where looking for. The closest village is 5-8mns away with all the commodities (even better)! Jacob was very attentive before our arrival to the last day, and even left a few local tips in his place. We’ll definitely be back!

    Helene2017-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • Jacob's home served as a great getaway from the city. The space is warm and well equipped. We also loved the horses. Hope to visit again.

  • Pine Home is a wonderful retreat and provided a comfortable and enjoyable home base during our 2 week vacation with young kids. The house was spacious and comfortable and ideally located only 10minutes from the village of North Hatley, close to Lake Massawippi and surrounded by nature. Jacob was a great host, friendly, helpful available yet respectful of his guests' privacy and with a clear willingness to make our stay enjoyable. Highly recommended.

    Sol2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Jacob’s home is an old, rustic and cozy place! We spend 5 days with friends, family and pets, relaxing and enjoying the magnificent trails adjacent to the house/barn. Everything in the place is slightly outdated but it gives the place it’s charm! No neighbours (except for separately rented rustic cabin down the trail) in sight makes for a very quiet stay. Would definitely return.

    Michael2018-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • Jacobs property is incredible, tucked away in the forest you can't get more secluded than this. Photos don't do justice! It was a very cold night but the house kept warm. We spent the day and evening walking the trails around the home. In the morning our car couldn't start. With a quick call Jacob gave me instructions where to find his battery charger and in 20 min our car was brought back to life. Can't thank him enough! I'll definitely be back!

For nature lovers . Wonderful chalet in the wood for people who want to escape and get peace.
A secluded spot in the middle of the forest, a silence where one appreciates the sounds of the forest and the runoff of the stream. No neighborhood but the village of Compton and the town of Coaticook are 8 minutes from the cottage.
Foresta Lumina in the Coaticook Gorge, the beautiful village of Compton with these Comptonnales, Mount Pinacle and Lake Lyster with its Baldwin pond for trout fishing, lake massawippi on the shores of the village of North Hathley.
  • Had a great two night stay at Sonia and Samy's cabin. Secluded down by a small stream in the forest, the location was absolutely charming. Loved sitting in the cozy cabin by the fireplace and enjoying the hot tub. It was a perfect winter getaway. While the cabin is quite rural, a nearby town and supermarket are just ten minutes away by car, making it quite convenient. Wish we could have stayed longer!

  • Sonia and Samy were great hosts, always ready to help when needed! The house is in a great isolated location where we could relax and enjoy the nature. I strongly recommend this chalet!

    Elena2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful place. The cottage has been nicely renovated and all the amenities have been upgraded, yet it retains a cottage feeling. The surrounding area is even nicer than the cottage itself. It is nicely located by a creek and the property is totally isolated which is perfect if you want quietness. The hosts are awesome. They are very dedicated in making sure you have the best experience possible and I am sure they would do everything in their power to accommodate you needs. We would recommend this place in a heartbeat.

    Chantal2016-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our trip. In fact we absolutely loved it. The place was nice and quiet, we couldn't hear anything except for the sound of the river. Samy was very nice and friendly. The place is just amazing and near a lot of great places. We would've stayed forever and are planning on returning next fall. Seriously, you should really consider that place, the pictures are pretty accurate, you have wifi, netflix, a spa and everything you could possibly need.

Warm cottage for lovers of nature. Want to escape from the frenzied rhythm of everyday life? My little cottage is the dream place, as the birds, deer, and smells of the forest. Live at the rhythm of nature, without electricity, without running water, old fashioned. Propane furnace, slow combustion stove, happiness ...
Located in the middle of the forest, you will live to the rhythm of the sun. Several trails run through woodland, hiking or skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. It is definitely a return to the roots. Take the coffee, rocking chair on the gallery, watching deer, big picks, red cardinal, wild turkeys or just the course of a squirrel ...
Magnificent area in the Estrie region, just 20 minutes from the Foresta Lumina in Coaticook, 30 minutes from Mont Orford, 5 minutes from Lake Massawippi and 10 from North Hatley, 20 minutes from Lake Memphremagog, 20 minutes from US customs , 15 minutes from Comptonales, etc. It is perfectly located !!!!
  • Place was great, exactly what we were expecting. Was well equipped with candles, and kitchen supplies. We arrived on a very cold winter night and the fire heated up the cabin quickly. We saw lots of deer, as advertised. Jacob was great when it came to communicating with us to ensure we found the place. Great time, would stay here again!

    Michele2016-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • While carrying the cooler and water to the cabin was a bit of a slog, the cabin, itself, was charming and we had a really good stay. When I got up the first morning, I spent ten minutes watching a nearly newborn fawn investigating the grass and other greens (which at this stage were found wanting compared to Mom!). The deck was also a great place just to sit, read and watch the sky. We recommend heartily.

  • I planned a solo getaway in this cozy cabin as a way to wind down and spend time with myself. I really enjoyed the rustic aspect of the cabin - having to bring my own water and using fire for heat. The cabin was close enough to Jacobs home but far enough to feel completely alone, surrounded by trees. The cabin was very clean, well stocked with dishes, blankets, chairs, candles etc. The huge window is beautiful too! Jacob was fast to answer any questions I had, even though he was traveling! I would love to return to do this little retreat every year! I’d highly recommend this off the grid treasure!

Charming spacious country home in a quiet colonial village to gather and enjoy with friends or extended family. Sleeps 6-9 Quiet~beautiful~natural~comfortable
If you are looking for a peaceful oasis, you’ll find it in our charming Victorian country home. Build in 1867, it has been lovingly restored and its elegant casual country décor was featured on the cover of Canadian Country Living Magazine. It is the perfect place to gather with extended family and friends. The open concept kitchen, living and dining area open up onto the large elevated back deck, which overlooks the gardens, rolling pastures and mountains in the distance. The home sleeps up to nine people. There are four bedrooms; you will find one large bedroom with a king size bed, two lovely private bedrooms with queen size beds and one semi-private bedroom with a double bed. There is also a set of built in bunk beds which the children love. They are nestled between the two private rooms so you can have your privacy and still have them close by. The rooms are spacious, and the many windows allow for plenty of fresh air and natural light. Cotton sheets, duvets, comfy pillows, a plush mattress and the quiet of the land ensure that you will have a wonderful rest. There is a full bathroom upstairs with separate bath and shower and a powder room on the main floor. The house is on two and a half acres and is located on the main street in Hatley village, a tiny quiet commerce free town that is famous for its July 1st Canada Day parade. We invite our guests to step outside, meander the paths through the gardens and ferns, over the little brook into the wooded area or down to the pasture to watch the cattle roaming and views of mount Orford and Owls head. Both children and adults alike, return to a joyful place in the magic of this natural setting.
Hatley is a timeless, tiny, quiet picturesque village surrounded by rolling hills, horse farms and apple orchards. The home is located accross from a classic white colonial church. Bike tours are popular in the area known for its natural beauty, rolling hills and fresh local produce. There is no commerce in the village, however there are plenty of fine and casual dinning, artisanal bakeries, cafes, farmers markets and grocery stores within a 15 minute drive.
  • Great winter vacation. Spent 1 week and really appreciated warm atmosphere. Fire place, open dining and living room is great for family reunion. No TV no dishwasher available but was not a problem at all. Bedroom comfortable. Kitchen well equiped. Sahara great host. Would recommand.

  • Thanks for the wonderful stay. With the blending of 4 families(8) it was a wonderful experience. Everyone was able to have their own space, yet still have enough large areas to have everyone together. You have a wonderful house that had a lot of character, very well organized and clean. The kitchen was fabulous to be able to make breakfast for 8. The outside was a fabulous place to relax, the gardens were beautiful this time of year. It was beautiful inside and out. We all wished we could have stayed longer. Thanks for the memories and take care.

  • The place is a lot more beautiful than what you see on the pictures. There is this relaxing vibe as soon as you get there that makes you want to feel happy and calm. We will definitely go back. 3 big closed rooms and an opened one. Perfect for a family weekend getaway. Backyard is gorgeous and neighbourhood quiet and charming. It was also very clean and the pillows are comfortable. We will go back.

  • Absolutely a fantastic place to stay! The house was wonderful, it had warmth and character, it was clean, the open space kitchen/dining area was perfect for a cosy ambience to welcome friends and family. There was plenty of room for us 8. The site and landscape desing was simply inspiring. The owner was easy to contact, very friendly and helpful. If you are confortable with a no wi-fi/tv/micro-wave environment this is the perfect place.

  • We were there to gather as a family for the 50th wedding anniversary of my parents! The house was just the perfect size so everyone had their privacy and there was also plenty of places for us to share memorable moments together either outside in the stunning gardens or in one the tastefully decorated rooms!! The sunset from the terrasse was spectacular! Sahara is super responsive, very kind and accommodating. I would recommend that place in a heartbeat!! Thanks for making that week end unforgettable!!

  • We had a great experience at Sahara's House. It's located in a small quaint village in the Eastern Townships. The foliage was spectacular at this time of the year, and the house was surrounded by big trees. The backyard is huge and we had fun walking in the small trail around the stream. The house was bigger than expected and it is perfectly decorated in a cozy vintage chic vibe. Everything was very clean and functional. The kids loved sleeping in the bunk beds in the hallway. The grownups thought the beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms are large. Even the bath towels are plushy! There is no wifi and no tv, but we didn't mind disconnecting for the weekend. Sahara made it very easy for us to check in and out, and she texted me to know if everything was okay. We were there to visit Foresta Lumina in Coaticook, and it's perfectly located for that. The nearest grocery store is located only a 10-minute drive away. There is also a great cheese factory in Compton called La Station, which is very close. We would recommend Anahatha to anyone, and we are actually looking for an excuse to go back.

  • I booked the beautiful Victorian cottage as part of a mini-break for my family and I. Sahara has created a beautiful and unique home that is clean, spacious and so very cosy. The cottage is huge with loads of quiet sitting spaces and reading nooks, as well as a back deck that overlooks the beautiful rambling garden and fields beyond. The space is extremely tranquil and calm, and the evenings were wonderfully peaceful sitting around the outdoor fire. Sahara has equipped the cottage with everything you'd need for a self-sufficient getaway. We loved our time here. Thank you!!

  • Sahara's home was truly a retreat. On a quiet road in a quaint area (but minutes' drive to amenities), with a lovely, large garden, beautiful views from every window, and a home filled with thoughtful touches, lovingly decorated. The whole property was impeccably clean. It was a perfect, quiet vacation for our family of four, but could easily have accommodated an additional family. We especially enjoyed the main area, with a large and well-stocked kitchen open to the dining and living rooms (with a cozy fireplace that we kept burning throughout our 4-day stay). Sahara was as warm and welcoming as her home, easily accessible and responsive. We look forward to returning to enjoy this special place in a different season....

  • Michelle was wonderful- she greeted us at the door and showed us all we needed to know about the property. We got lucky with weather and had an opportunity to use the boats and paddle around on the lake. The soaking tub is an added plus! The house is close to the road but you can’t hear the traffic at all and the back porch, yard and lake are all wonderful. This made for a very relaxing weekend for all! Make sure you bring everything you need for cooking. The kitchen is well equipped (pots pans dishes etc.) but there is no cooking oil or extras so be sure to bring your own. Overall a fantastic stay and we hope to return!

  • We had a relaxing and fun family overnight at Erin's cozy airbnb home. We made good use of the kitchen (oven, fridge, coffee maker, teapot and microwave) as well as the TV/netflix. Our beds were very comfortable and we appreciated all the extra blankets! Erin contacted us by email before and during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. We felt welcomed and well taken care of.

    Peg2018-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Erin's cottage is truly charming. A very spacious, beautiful place with a big well-kept backyard that is perfect for pictures. Our family (7 adults) was very comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped and easy to use and there is enough seating for a nice dinner party. Erin is very pleasant and responsive, she lives across the street so we felt very safe and looked after. There was a power outage due to some city removations late at night and she came over immediately to help us find the alternative lighting that the house had. Overall we had a wonderful experience! 10/10 would definitely recommend

  • Kelly & Erin's cottage is a wonderful place. The neighbourhood is quiet. The cottage is spacious, also very cosy and welcoming. We had the chance to meet Erin, who's a very welcoming host and lives just next door. She provided us lots of information about the regional places of interest. My family and I really enjoyed our stay and would gladly come back during winter.

We were 3 couples, with our baby and we had plenty of room. Hosts, nearby, were very friendly and helpful for anything in the area. We were in town for a wedding, wish we could have spent more time there! Wouldn't hesitate to rent this place again.

The lake is 14.2 km long and has a maximum width of 1.9 km. The lake reaches depths of up to 86 m. It 'sa paradise for sport fishing. Salmonids, achigans, perch and pike are abundant. Every year many fishing tournaments host hundreds of sport anglers from all over America. In autumn, in October and November, the lake is a must stop for thousands of migratory birds: bustards, white geese, great herons and ducks can be observed there. The surrounding woodlands are full of white-tailed deer, moose, wild turkeys and beavers. With a little luck you can even see giant tortoises. It is no coincidence that the lake was for many centuries the privileged area of hunting and fishing for many native tribes. • We had a wonderful stay at Nathalie's place. After a day of exploring it was great to return to the "barn" which truly was a home away from home. We appreciated the well equipped kitchen and loved having dinner on the upstairs balcony! We also appreciated how there were so many places you could relax - sitting downstairs by the fireplace; reading in the nook upstairs; watching TV on the comfortable sofa. The location was excellent for exploring the Eastern townships and October was a perfect time to see the spectacular fall colours. Nathalie was great to communicate with and made the check in process so easy. I'd definitely recommend Ayer's Barn for a holiday get away!

  • Nathalie's place is a true hidden treasure. You can tell that she's built a great environment and space. The barn is a unique space where every detail adds to the cozy and intimate vibe. It was a great space to call home over the long weekend. We had such a great time staying here with our dog Hambone. Nathalie was very communicative and made use feel welcome. If you want an elegant country gem then I wholeheartedly recommend staying at Nathalie's place.

  • We had a very pleasant stay at Ayer's Barn. The place is well located close to the village. The accommodation is spacious, eclectic and comfortable, with a fully stocked kitchen. We especially liked relaxing on the upstairs balcony to the calming sound of a fountain. Thanks to Nathalie, checking in and out was a breeze.

  • Nat's place is even more beautiful in person! Space is huge and there is a large garden where our dog was very happy to run around. The home is rustic, cozy, and comfy. And the best is the huge garden, my kids were able to bike on the premises with my little dog running like crazy after them. We will come back! :)
