American Restaurant
“Located just down Monroe Street, I’m at The Coupe at least once a week! They do coffee and pastries to-go ($3-$5), as well as sit down breakfast ($15pp), lunch, and dinner. It’s pretty big so there isn’t usually a wait (Sometimes for brunch), and very reasonably priced. Definitely worth checking out! ”

“Just across the street, Wonderland has great bar food, a lively patio, and entertainment many nights of the week (such as free open mic comedy). Try the breakfast burrito for brunch or the southern fried chicken sandwich and eggplant fries for dinner - and bring your appetite!”

“A foodie destination. To get a table you need to be in line by 4-5. Seating list doesn’t start until 6 but you have to be inline early to get a table or book in advance when seating times open. ”

“The best vegan baked goods and sweets in the city! Doran is a two-time winner of Cupcake Wars and its shows. My faves—any cupcake, Cowvin cookie, or Little Devil. They also have a coffee cake to die for! They have Wi-Fi and coffee so if you need somewhere to hang for an hour or two after checkout, I highly recommend this spot. Also, if you or your guests are vegan, Sticky Fingers has a sister restaurant, Fare Well, in the H Street corridor. ”

“If you crave authentic Mexican food, this is a great, reasonably priced carry-out restaurant and bakery. Most of the patrons and staff speak only Spanish, but they have menus with pictures and descriptions in English. Sometimes there's a wait, since this place is popular, but it's well worth it! Try the tortas and quesadillas, made with homemade fresh Mexican cheese (which is kind of like mozzarella). There are picnic tables outside where you can eat. ”
