The Blacksmith's Workshop

In ancient times, the house was a blacksmith's workshop with his little house adjacent. Recently renovated in a contemporary key, it has become a residence on two floors of about 80 square meters. On the ground floor there is the living area with a dining table, kitchen, amenities and a pantry for wines, which can be reached by a wooden staircase with staggered steps. A second black iron staircase leads to the intermediate mezzanine where the studio is organized. The balustrade becomes the countertop and overlooks the double height. On the first floor are the two en suite bedrooms. The floors are made of resized concrete and part with reclaimed concrete pork tiles; the upper floor is finished with parquet. Special to the vintage furnishings, lighting of the rooms, and contemporary art paintings by a young Sicilian artist-designer. The house is equipped with winter and summer air conditioning, wifi, TV and dishwasher. A few kilometers away is the beach of Porto Palo (Blue Flag) with the possibility of boat trips, flights with ultralights and bike rentals. Nearby, less than 25 minutes by car, you can play golf at the beautiful Golf Verdura Resort. The most important archaeological sites of Sicily are easily accessible: Selinunte (15 minutes), Cave di Cusa (25 minutes), Segesta (45 minutes), Eraclea Minoa (40 minutes) and Agrigento and "Scala dei Turchi" (50 minutes). To visit: the city of Sciacca, Sambuca di Sicilia (the most beautiful village in Italy 2016), the Tomasi di Lampedusa Literary Park in Santa Margherita (15 minutes), the "cretto of Burri" in Gibellina (30 minutes), the Stagnone di Marsala (Mothia), the Salt and the town of Trapani, Erice (all about 60 minutes by car) The city is well connected with Falcone Borsellino airports of Palermo and Trapani Birgi both reachable in an hour by car.
