Wake up to the sound of the birds ! Breath the fresh air and recharge the batteries. The chalet is bright and welcoming and has all you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It has an Off -Street private car park and lovely secluded garden with seating and Barbecue area. It is within walking distance to Arklow town and a short car or bus journey to all the Attractions that Co Wicklow has to offer. Whether it be hill walking, cycling, sight seeing, sandy beaches, culinary delights or just a night or 2 away to relax this place is a great base for it all.
The Chalet is a luxurious all timber fully insulated log cabin. It has a master bedroom, toddler bedroom, lounge, kitchen area and bathroom. It is fitted out with all mod cons including a Triton power shower in the bathroom. Washing machine, fridge freezer, hob and oven in the kitchen and a gas fire in the lounge . There is also free Wi Fi and a 32 inch flat screen smart tv with cable connection. Outside in the garden you will find a private seating area to the back of the cabin. Here you can totally relax and get away from it all and maybe get the Barbecue on and have a drink or two ! There is endless supply of logs for the log burner too !!
Arklow town has a variety of shops and restaurants. The Bridgewater centre has a cinema, food court, and boutique shopping as well as the Arklow maritime museum. There are 2 golf courses in the area one in Arklow and one near by in Wooden bridge where you will also find the oldest hotel in Ireland! There are 3 beaches within 15 mins of Arklow. Silver strand , Brittas Bay , and Clogga strand are all within reach and well worth a visit. The famous Redcross and Avoca villages are just 5 mins away. Here you will find the traditional irish pub with music and great food and a brewery where you can sample the brew ! There are guided walking tours organised daily here and this is a great way to see this part of the garden county. Avondale house in Rathdrum is about 15 mins away. It is an old Edwardian house with great walks around the wooded grounds and cycle tracks too. Courtown is a seaside resort about 20 mins away. Here you will find a rescue seal sanctuary, swimming pool, amusement arcades, bowling, mini golf and adventure parks as well as a relaxing forest walk. The Lavander farm is also close by and well worth a visit for its beauty. There are 2 mini farms Kia ora and Tick Tock which are a fun day out ! The world renowned Glendalough is on our doorstep with its excellent hiking and cycling trails , amazing scenery and a chance to glimps the past of medieval Ireland . Roundwood village has the highest pub in Ireland and a Michelin star restaurant. It is an Irish village of immense character and well worth a visit.   • Booked very last minute for a couple days get away. Great Chalet with so many features to it. Once inside you feel secluded in your own little world. Great WiFi, TV, Appliances, even little snacks & leaflets were there for us on arrival which was lovely & super helpful host. Wasn’t aware the chalet was in the hosts garden so close to their home, other than that it was a great few nights, would recommend ❤️

    The cottage has 1 double bedroom with the addition of a pull-out sofa bed in the living area. It has a large open space with kitchen/dining/living area. The kitchen has an oven and hob, a microwave, sink with hot water, kettle and toaster and Nespresso machine. Bathroom with electric shower. Tea and coffee provided. A travel cot can be provided with prior notice. TV & WiFi.
    There are many amenities close by including Avoca Woolen Mills-the home of the famous Avoca brand, Avondale House and Forest Park- home of the great Charles Stuart Parnell, Kilmacurragh Gardens, Mount Usher Gardens, Glendalough and Powerscourt to name but a few. For those who enjoy a round of golf, Woodenbridge, Macreddin and Coolattin Golf Courses are all within easy reach. The area is the perfect base for a hiking break with many hill walks and forest walks nearby. We are only minutes from the famous Wicklow Way. The ideal location to explore the East and South-East. While we are only an hour from Dublin we are only a couple of miles from Co. Wexford which boasts beautiful blue-flag beaches.

  • The perfect escape! My trip was a last minute decision to escape the city. The last minute nature of my trip was met with vey quick responses from Linda, which was so helpful. I wanted a quiet, relaxing space with nice scenery in which to work and write. Kilpipe Cottage delivered on all of the above. Surrounded by beautiful scenery, the space was warm, very well presented, with all of the facilities you could want for your stay. For me, it was the perfect working space, with reliable WiFi and a space to work. Unfortunately, I did not have much opportunity to get out and explore the area, but am very much looking forward to returning to Kilpipe Cottage for leisure purposes. Highly recommend this place!

Sit back and enjoy breathtaking ever-changing views of the magnificent hills,large pond, natural gardens, Red Kites in the sky... If you wish to explore the beautiful county we are only 1 mile away from famous Meeting of the Water, and only 4 miles from the village of Avoca. Only 25mins from Glendalough and Wicklow mountain National park will keep you busy.
    The most appealing aspect of the cabin is the views. Situated on 4 acres it will give you a space, but you will not be far from wild and farm animals.. The Happy place Cabin was designed and built by local craftsman to enhance the peaceful surroundings. The cabin has to offer a large bedroom (double bed), brand new Shower-room, all linen and towels included, please note that its takes 25 minutes for water to heat between showers. The heart of the cabin is definitely in the kitchen-living area, it's high ceiling, white walls and wooden beams, wood burning stove make it the ideal place to relax and enjoy. There is a sofa bed in the room which sleeps 2 children comfortably .Bedroom opening onto a deck with stunning views of Wickow hills.. Perfect place to sit back in the the evening sunshine with a lovely cup of tea and a book. There's outdoor seating dotted around the garden and the pond, aimed to encourage guest's enjoyment of watching the Red kites soar in the air, or simply to enjoy the beautiful colors of the gardens. Breakfast basket filled with fresh eggs from our hens, traditional brown soda bread, butter and home made jams from our fruit garden and milk. There is a basic kitchen with Tea and coffee making facilities, a small fridge and cooking facilities 4 electric hobs, oven, toaster , microwave , dishwasher pots and pans. There is a secluded rustic outdoor barbecue area beside the stream for the guests to enjoy, please bring your own charcoal. A car is a must to make the most of our local amenities. The roads surrounding the Lodge are narrow & wild with greenery, hence we don't recommend walking the the local areas. Check-in from 2 pm Check-out before 12pm. Please let us know your estimated arrival time, if you can. Please check prices as we do have some special deals or last minute price drops. We are happy to see children around but their will have to be supervised at all the time as there is deep fish pond and the stream close to the cabin.

The oldest mill in Ireland Avoca Handweavers are based in Avoca. Explore the Avondale Arboretum with the Avonmore river flowing down from the Wicklow National Park.ty 30 minute drive will bring you to the sands of Brittas bay or the monastic city of Glendalough. The Wicklow Way & Lugnaquilla mountain are some of the nearby hiking highlights. And not to forget the beautiful Avondale Forest is 10 min drive. Perfect place for garden lovers - Kilmacurragh Arboretum managed by the National Botanic Gardens 15 min away too. The Clara Lara Funpark and Greenane Maze and Farm Museum are great for adults and children.

  • The place is gorgeous with lovely surroundings full of animals, flowers and even a pond. The cabin has a small kitchen with everything you might need to cook, a lovely fireplace and a bedroom with views to the pond. Killian and Jurgita are 2 of the nicest hosts you could ever find. We got there by train from Dublin to Rathdrum and with Mick Dunbar's taxi from Rathdrum to the cabin. The fireplace was on when we got there and we were greeted with sweets and local produce from their own farm. In these strange times, when all news seem like bad news, a peaceful retreat like this cabin is a safe haven where you can relax to the sounds of nature and the warmth of a cosy fire.

    A ground floor garden flat in a converted coach house. Elegant and comfortable with a living room, separate small kitchen with breakfast table. Adjacent to the bustling market town of Gorey and all the glorious beaches of the Sunny South East, this flat is nestled in a secluded award winning garden in the picturesque village of Coolgreany. The village has a friendly country shop and two pubs.
    My mother, Lolo, has lovingly built this garden from an overgrown wild field into an award winning paradise, She is now 89 and still gardens every day. Lolo occupies the top floor of the Coach House. The entrances to the apartments are separate. My family live in the main house in the same garden. You will be left in peace unless you seek us out!
    Our village has a shop which sells almost everything, two pubs, one which serves food on Sundays only. The local towns offer much more to do with Gorey in particular offering great shopping, cinemas, library, tourist activities. Arklow has a great mall for rainy days with shopping and cinemas under the same roof. My favourite places to visit very close by are Kilmichael Point where there's a spectacular cliff walk down onto Kilmichael beach and our local woodland walk at Ballyfad woods. Wells House and The Lavender Farm are great for kids as well as the swimming pool complex in Courtown Harbour. A visit in summer would bot be complete without a trip to Clara Lara Fun park. Further afield, Glendalough is unmissable and Mount Usher Gardens in Ashford a must see. There's tons to do and specific interests in wildlife, history, architecture, food, the sea, hill walking, gardening are all well satisfied in this area.

  • Sally is a lovely hostess. The Coach House is very quaint and spotlessly clean. Sally left us eggs, milk, orange juice and delicious homemade cake, bread and local jam. The gardens are really amazing and very relaxing. We had a few drinks in O’Raffertys Pub in Coolgreany on Saturday night and thoroughly enjoyed the guitarist playing there who was originally a member of the Quartmass Showband. Great selection of music. We really enjoyed our bank holiday weekend.

Sally had homemade treats waiting for us, comfortable beds, and beyond gorgeous gardens for us to explore. We ended up doing a number of her recommended excursions and they were all fantastic. Sally knows what it means to be a host and she embodies the title. I would completely recommend her home in Coolgreany.

Close to all local amenities including beaches, golf courses, Gorey and Arklow towns, within 30 minutes to Glendalough and the Wicklow mountains and a 50 minute drive to Dublin. A true hidden gem where you can base yourself to explore the very best that both Co. Wicklow and Co. Wexford has to offer.
    Set in the sunny south east, this property is situated on the Wicklow, Wexford border surrounded by sandy beaches, picturesque countryside and a short drive to the local towns of Arklow (5mins) and Gorey (10 mins) which visitors can discover supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, retail and all family amenities.
    We are a 2minute drive to Coolgreany village where you will find a Shop, post office and a pub/bar to name a few. We are a 5minute drive to the town of Arklow and a 10minute drive to Gorey (recommended) which has ample supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, bars, boutiques/shopping etc. they cater for all your needs.
  • We spent 2 very enjoyable days in Annemarie's cottage which welcomed us with her husband. They live next door. The outside being very pretty. The chalet is beautifully decorated very flowery and romantic. Equipped with everything needed. Small attentions very appreciated: a good egg soup and fresh milk on arrival! Definitely a nice place to spend a few days visiting the Wicklow mountains and Glendalough.

We are located in Ballycoogue, Woodenbridge, over looking the stunning Woodenbridge Golf Club.We are an hours drive from Dublin in off peak times, 10 minutes from Avoca, Aughrim and Annacurragh villages and a stones throw away from Clone House, Clonwilliam, Woodenbridge hotel and not too far from the Brooklodge and Ballybeg Country House. We are 25 minutes from Glendalough.
    This space has a very open feeling while being cosy with an stove. We are in the middle of the country and have very little traffic or noise. You wake up to the sound of the birds singing outside or the sounds of the cows chewing.The space has full height ceiling, the room is fitted with a stove for you to use when you feel the chill in the summer evenings The room has an ajoining bathroom with a walk in shower. There is a small kitchen area with a kettle, toaster, fridge freezer & egg cooker. We are a cycling family so you have access to bike washing facilities should you need them.
    There is plenty to do from the Avoca Handweavers to Glendalough Monastic site, all within easy reach. There are numerous walking trails on mountains for you to explore in the locality.

    My place is a 2 min walk to shop, post office, petrol station, pub.. You’ll love my place because of The location! We are right beside various local woodland walks, the Wexford Lavendar Farm, we are about 5 miles to lots of coastal beaches, 3 miles from Gorey and 9 miles from Arklow.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with kids).
    My space is very clean and friendly. The room is downstairs away from the main bedrooms. It's particularly great for those less mobile visitors. The room has a double bed, a single bed and a folded bed (fold out camp bed). It has a WC through the kitchen which is away from the family. The main bathroom is upstairs.
    We are right beside a shop which provides all your requirements such as a Post Office, convenience Store, Petrol/Diesel and a Public House for a nice cold beer at the end of the day and not to have to worry about drink driving.

The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking. Super easy check-in and great communication. Some lovely touches included, arriving to homemade scones (still warm!), milk and fresh eggs, the wood burning fire, and the dogs coming to say good morning! Would definitely recommend.   • We stayed at the Granary Cottage for one night, and it was the perfect escape from reality. Located a quick 15 minutes from Avoca town, the directions can be found on google maps and were easy to follow. The cottage itself is cosy, very clean with traditional interiors that created the perfect “peaceful getaway”. Sanchia welcomed us on arrival and showed us round the cottage, which was a lovely personal touch to our stay. The kitchen has everything you need to cook yourself a meal, and the woodburning stove kept us cosy all evening. We had a wonderful nights sleep as the place was so quiet! Breakfast on the decking overlooking the valley and Avoca town is a must for the next morning! To top it off, the homemade scones and raspberry jam waiting for us on arrival were a generous final touch which was much appreciated after our journey. Many thanks to Sanchia for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be recommending to family and friends!

  • We had a lovely welcome from Mary & really enjoyed our three nights in the apartment. The kitchen has everything you might need with Mary providing a welcome pack of essentials to see you through the first night. The self-contained apartment was clean & warm; has a private fenced-in decked area with picnic table & lovely views to the mountains; a kitchen with hob & oven, an automatic washing machine, table & two chairs; shower room & spacious bedroom, but no chairs (so you do have to sit on the bed to relax & watch TV), whilst there's plenty of drive space outside to park your car. Aughrim village is approx 10 minute walk away to cafes, bars, shops & small supermarkets. It's a good location to reach Wicklow town, the mountains & coast with Dublin less than an hour away, so perfect for reaching the airport. The apartment is attached to Mary's home so there are the sounds of their life filtering through the walls & from the rooms above, whilst dogs in the next doors garden do bark. However, we certainly have no complaints & would recommend the accommodation as a great value place to stay.

    The Creamery is a recently renovated charming two storey stone cottage located just under 10 minutes from Gorey town, renowned for its great shopping and Restaurants. A great base to explore our beautiful hills and beaches which are close by.
    The creamery has been recently restored and includes integrated modern conveniences. The interior is ambient and full of natural light. It is heated with air to water heating system (which provides constant hot water) and a solid fuel stove in the living area. There is a bathroom with shower upstairs, and a bathroom with bath downstairs. A brand new modern kitchen with dishwasher has been installed. A large bedroom upstairs with king bed ,and a second smaller bedroom upstairs with double bed. The Creamery is located on its own site with its own private entrance .

  • My girlfriend and I had the best time at The Creamery! It’s a beautiful, cosy home that was perfect for a winter weekend away for two (although it would have had more than enough space for 4!). Everything was stylishly decorated, clean and well equipped. We loved putting the fire on after a long day’s walking, and relaxing in the living room each evening. The kitchen has everything you might need, and the underfloor heating and smart TV were a luxurious touch. Fiona was a great host - we arrived to find fresh baked bread and cakes, plus eggs milk and bacon in the fridge for our stay, shampoos and body wash in the bathrooms, and even a couple of Christmas crackers! And she was super helpful and immediately on hand when we had questions or needed anything. The main bedroom where we slept was really comfortable too. Would recommend hiring a car for getting around - Wicklow Mountains National Park is an easy hour’s drive and was stunning. All in all a brilliant stay - thank you Fiona!

This property is on a stunning piece of land which includes stock, dogs, geese and one highly inquisitive peacock! The owners bend backwards to see to my needs and the house was beautifully warm with everything I needed to attend my conference. I hope to go back to make use of the indoor and outdoor fireplaces and walk along the creek and have a chance to just sit and enjoy the stunning view of the landscape and sea. It was lambing season too!

    Our cozy cabin is our new listing for 2020 and can accommodate 2 people in an open plan studio style cabin. All the new appliances, fixtures and fittings have been installed with a gas cooker, fridge freezer, microwave and the standard utensils too. A gas fired water heater heats in an instant and the shower room/toilet is fitted with a pump shower and new fittings.
    Wicklow is known as the Garden County and we are surrounded and spoiled for choices with so many places to visit and enjoy. Britas bay beach is only 8 minutes away by car and you can stroll along the sandy beach for miles and take in the fantastic scenery it has to offer. Kilmacurragh Gardens, Avoca mills and Wicklow Gaol are some of the many places to visit on your journey.

    Our lovely home is on the outskirts of Arklow, with the town centre being only 10 minutes walk away. We have a nice view of the sea from where we live and can walk to the beach in 5 minutes. The house is detached and has a big garden with lots of trees and shrubs. There is ample parking space outside. The house was built as a maritime cottage in 1950s and we are now modernising it for 21st century. It is well insulated and warm, with central heating and wood burning stove.
    Arklow is a lovely seaside town with lots of amenities, including good pubs and restaurants, lots of nice walks, shops, swimming pools, gyms, cinema. It is also close to lovely Wicklow mountains and beautiful rural villages and countryside.

    Guests are very welcome to join us in our TV room, Sun room or kilchen for a chat and a cuppa. On arrival we like to chat with our guests and provide tea/coffee and if possible home baking. If weather permits guests are also welcome to use our peaceful and tranquil garden.
    Located near the pretty village of Kilanerin we have several woodland walks nearby. The lovely town of Gorey is just 5km, Arklow town 11km, and a choice of beaches from 6km. Two of the local woodland walks are accessible on foot from our home, one leads to The Wexford Lavender farm and Restaurant/coffee shop, the other via the delightful little village of Kilanerin which has an all in one shop, post office and pub. We have also collected info and maps about lots of the hikes and walks in Wexford and Wicklow including The Wicklow way, Glendalough, Tiahely, Lugnaquilla, Gorey, Courtown, Tara Hill, Avoca, Ballycumber loop walk , Kyke loop walk, Mangans loop walk, Askamore Looped walks, plus the new Wexford walking trails booklet. There are also lots of beaches nearby to enjoy two very nice ones are only 10 to 15 minutes drive from our home and another few less than a 20 minute drive. We love the peace and quiet where we live and listening to the birds sing in the morning. At night because we have a low level of light pollution we can see the stars very well on cloudless nights.
  • Both Pauline and Gerry are so friendly and welcoming. Their home is a lovely relaxing environment in a beautiful country setting only a few minutes drive from Gorey. We had a very enjoyable stay. Gerry was so kind and dropped us into Gorey. Beds were so comfy. Shower was lovely and warm and good pressure. And to top it off Pauline left us a lovely little breakfast when we got up. There is a double bed with a memory foam mattress and crisp cotton bed linen. The second bed is a sofa bed and a travel cot is also available. Kitchen area with tea and coffee making facilities, microwave, toaster and a fridge. We also supply continental breakfast options of cereal, fresh soda bread, jam, butter, fruit, yogurt & orange juice. Bottled water is also provided. Bathroom has a power shower.   • Rathdrum is more of a countryside town; an 1hr &20 min form the airport/car rental. This air bnb gave us a different experience then the touristy parts of Ireland. My boyfriend & I drove from Galway(through these beautiful scenic hills/mountains) to get there. We were happy to make it to Frances. It was small but the perfect amount of space for 2. Super clean. Great mini fridge & shower. The hostess was above & beyond polite & kind. I would 110% go back.

  • I stayed here for a week while on business in Gorey and absolutely loved it. The listing is accurate, the views of the countryside are beautiful, and the apartment is absolutely spotless. One of the cleanest Airbnbs I have every stayed in. It does take a bit of planning to get to and from town, but the full kitchen makes it easy to store and prepare your own food so you're not running back and forth to town too much. The hosts were always available to help when needed, and even offered to pick up something at the market for me one evening. Great hosts, great property, would highly recommend.

The Airbnb is beautiful designed and there’s certainly a wow factor when you 1st see the views equally so at night when seeing the stars.
