“In a beautiful, sheltered valley overlooking St Michael’s Mount; the woods, stream and dramatic vistas provide the perfect setting for large-scale exotic and sub-tropical planting at Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens in Cornwall. Interwoven with the planting is an evolving programme of contemporary artwork by internationally renowned artists such as James Turrell, David Nash and Richard Long, who have interacted with the setting to create site-specific permanent work that harmonise with the landscape.”

“House and gardens with an extensive book shop and Art Gallery. The cafe is a favourite! The Woodland walk is beautiful all year round, with an optional path that leads down to the St Mawes Ferry where you can ride across the estuary and back for a donation. Of course, you could drive onto the ferry, and take a tour around St Mawes. The castle is well worth a visit.”

Botanical Garden
“Dubbed the Eighth Wonder of the World by some, the Eden Project is a dramatic global garden housed in tropical biomes that nestle in a crater the size of 30 football pitches. With a worldwide reputation, and recognised by the British Travel Awards as the Best UK Leisure Attraction 5 years running, Eden barely needs an introduction, but this epic destination definitely deserves a day of your undivided attention. More than just a huge, tropical garden, Eden is a gateway into the relationships between plants and people, and a fascinating insight into the story of mankind's dependence on plant life. Not only a mind-blowing visitor attraction, Eden is also fast-becoming a unique resource for education and knowledge towards a sustainable future.”

“A beautiful Elizabethan manor house, Trerice is an architectural gem hidden away from the world in a web of narrow lanes and still somehow caught in the spirit of its age. Behind the Dutch-style gabled facade are ornate fireplaces, elaborate plaster ceilings and a collection of English furniture of the highest quality. Walk around the beautiful garden and explore the stunning views. Come and see the knot garden as it continues to take shape. Trerice also features a shop, second-hand bookshop, restaurant and plant sales. House open daily from 2 March until 3 November 2019.”
