'The Old Workshop' is a beautiful One Bed Modern Surf-Pad in easy walking distance to St Ives Town Center, Harbor, Tate Gallery and Beaches. The house is light, and open plan and is exclusively yours without interruption. Relax, and have fun :)
'The Old Workshop' is a creative, light open space, with modern appliances (WiFi, Apple TV and NetFlix) that embraces a casual "Surf Crash Pad" kind of feel. The property catches the morning sunshine through the big open windows filling the space with light, perfect for sinking in to your morning coffee. A spiral staircase connects the downstairs living area with the upstairs bedroom, with Queen size double bed. There is also hard flooring throughout which makes easy work of sandy feet after long days at the beach!! There is a sofa bed available for an extra guest also. The sofa bed converts quickly and easily when you fold out the seat cushions. Great for crashing for a few nights but maybe not ideal for longer stays.
St Ives is full of steep hills as I am sure you are aware! Which is what makes this place great as it is on the relative flat with easy access to the town and beaches without working up a sweat. The house is located on Bedford Road, which is nice and quiet, safe with very little through traffic. 'The Old Workshop' is conveniently located about 150m from the nearest Convenience Store and Banks, 200m from the best Pubs, and about 400m from the Harbour and Porthmeor Beach (that's the one with the Tate Gallery). The house is in such great proximity to the town that it's really easy to pop out and back to re-charge, without having to spend the whole day at the beach or traipsing about town.
  • This is a great little place, it has all you need. It's clean, in a great location, easy to find, easy to gain access and good value for money. Nothing negative to report. I would happily stay again.

  • Fantastic place to stay in St Ives. Great place to use as a base for 1 or 2 people. Awesome location, comfortable and cosy!

    Rebecca2016-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • The Surf Pad was a the perfect little get away for us. Only a short walk to the town and harbor and has all amenities covered. The place was very clean and tidy and everything was as described. So long as you are ok with the narrow spiral stairs I would definitely recommend!

    William2016-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • The communication before arrival was very quick and efficient; and the flat was conveniently located and as in the description.

    Kate2016-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Rowan's description was very accurate and he was extremely helpful during booking process answering to all my questions immediately. Place was clean and very well equipped with a few minutes walking distance from the beach. Great experience and highly recommended.

  • A nice, clean, functional flat. Ideally located 2 mins walk from the sea and St Ives centre!

  • We had a really lovely stay in st. Ives. The surf pad was a great little base. Really clean, well located and perfect for what we needed. Rowan was a consummate host - easy to communicate with and very helpful. I would definitely recommend.

The Kiddly Wink is a cosy Cornish cottage situated in the quaint village of Nancledra, 3 miles from St Ives. Easy access to beaches & seaside towns with great countryside walks in the immediate area. Local pub, The Engine Inn. Parking for 2 cars.
Nancledra is an absolutely fantastic location for visiting West Cornwall. It’s situated in the middle of all the popular locations. Being only 3 miles to St Ives and 5 miles to Marazion. There is many great walks and stunning views to be experienced in the immediate area.
  • Lovely light & spacious cottage, clean & tidy also perfectly equipped for self catering. Close location to many coastal villages in the car. Really loved our stay. Thank you

  • We had a great stay. Many thanks

    Richard2016-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Kiddly Wink is a lovely cottage and we had a very comfortable stay. The inverse layout works well creating a large open plan space upstairs with two very comfortable sofas, table and chairs and spacious kitchen area. Our evenings in were cosy and there was a nice view accross countryside when we had breakfast at the table. We only used the main bedroom downstairs, which as its at the back of the building was nice and quiet. The bathroom is spacious with a great shower; and the very secure courtyard garden was great for our dog. We also very much appreciated the welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and scones with butter and jam. We did not meet Abi & Morpeth as we were only there for three nights but they were very easy to deal with and responded to any queries promptly. All in all I would highly recommend Kiddly Wink and, assuming its available, we will again book the cottage the next time we go to Cornwall.

    Sandy2015-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • We were made to feel very welcome with scones, jam and milk on arrival as well as fresh flowers. The cottage was clean and tastefully decorated. It is well located right in between Penzance and St Ives with only a short drive to each place and two parking spaces. The cottage is located right on the road so you can hear road noise downstairs where the bedrooms and bathrooms are but it didn't bother us.

    Louise2016-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • The Kiddly Wink is a lovely, comfortable cottage with a great reverse design.Although we didn't meet our hosts we were made to feel very much at home as Abi and Morveth had provided a yummy cream tea. The cottage is in a great location for exploring both St.Ives and Penzance. Being able to park directly opposite the cottage made life very easy. We wish we could have had a longer visit as we love the area and we would certainly be very happy to stay at this cottage again.

    Neil2015-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Kiddly Wink. The cottage was very light and spacious and had everything we needed for a 4 night stay. I would highly recommend!

    Emilie2016-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Abi and Morveth's home was lovely. They've done a lot to bring modern touches and convenience to a historic British home. The garden is a perfect place for pets, as the walls are quite high and offer a secluded space. They both checked in to make sure my visit was going well and were easy to reach via e-mail.

    Cara2015-09-07T00:00:00Z

  • A hidden gem! We loved the ambience of the Chypons farm and our room was so well set up.It was large with a very comfortable bed. Great pubs nearby for good local food.

    Gillian2017-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodation was perfect - large and well appointed room and lovely settings not far from the coast in all directions. Breakfast was delicious and our hosts went out of their way to make sure we had everything we liked. We will definitely be returning.

    Gill2017-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • The farm is in a lovely location surrounded by pubs and places to eat, with a short drive to St Ives and other surrounding towns. Julian and Kate are the perfect hosts, providing you with a lovely breakfast in the room and more information than you could ever need on the area. The room goes above and beyond pictures and expectations, it really is somethig special. My boyfriend and I would definitely return and we were sad to only have 2 nights there.

    Joe2017-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely stunning apartment in the middle of the countryside. Comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom, great breakfast with views over the lovely garden. And hosts who were exceptionally helpful and accommodating! Thanks for a great stay!

    Ayse2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely secluded spot to come back to after a good day out exploring Cornwall. Julian and Kate were great hosts, being very easily contactable and welcoming. The room itself is well decorated with all basic amenities and more. The breakfast, with all things being Cornish, was fantastic. Will definitely be wanting to return to Chypons Farm!

    emily2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • We only stayed for one night but wished it had been longer. We had a very warm welcome from Julian and Kate, who also recommend a meal at the tinners arms in Zennor with a walk to Zennor head to watch the sun go down. It was stunning. The converted barn was beautifully done, with a very comfortable bed and much more space than the photos suggest. The garden is lovely and there's a summer house to relax in. Julian is very knowledgeable of the area and a great host.

    Michael2017-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed at the Chypons Farm B&B for 3 nights and I cannot say enough amazing things about it: - Julian and Kate were the best hosts - they checked in on us regularly to make sure we were ok as well as being the experts on the Cornwall area so they were able to give us great recommendations on walks, restaurants and places to go. - The room was much bigger than any hotel room and finished to a very high quality, modern finish. The bed was sooooo comfortable, we were sleeping 9hrs each night - much better sleep than our own bed. - Julian and Kate provide a Cornwall breakfast of local sourced yogurt, fruit, cereals and muffins. These are topped up daily and are delicious. - The bathroom was spacious and the shower powerful with constant hot water. - Overall this is a great B&B...cosy, homely and great value for money!

Comfortable converted Shipping Container set in half an acre and located just off the B3311 approx in Halsetown, St. Ives.
Shakas house is a converted shipping container set within an acre in rural St Ives - Cornwall
St Ives is a most unique and amazing place with stunning beaches, fabulous bars restaurant and shops with surf and sunshine. We are located 2 miles in rural st ives allowing for peace and have the famous Halsetown Inn just up the road which is offers sensational food and has a great little bar.
  • We had a great time at Shakas house, it's a quirky place in a great location. Holly & Josh were great hosts they left us some goodies which went down very well!! Definitely worth a visit, have recommended to family & friends. Thank you again Holly & Josh.

    Laura2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Holly and Josh were so helpful in the communication leading up to our visit. The Container is lovely and quaint and we loved looking at the trees they have planted outside! Thanks for all the extras provided (loved the Cornish butter and clotted cream and fresh local milk) and for all the tips- really did add to the experience. We had the best Easter and fell in love with St.Ives. Can't wait to plant our herb gardens with the seeds they gave us (lovely touch)!

    Natalie 2017-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • Nice, cozy, charming place to stay! We had a heartwarming welcome and felt very welcome!

    Sandra2017-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I came to stay at Shakkas for a weekend with our dog and some friends. We had a lovely time and enjoyed the surrounding countryside and the nearby St Ives. Weather was quite bitter so the log burner was a god send. We wouldn't hesitate to come again, and loved the unique style & coziness of Shakka's. On the lead up to our holiday Holly was always on hand for any questions... and gave us a real personal touch to our stay. Thank you.

    Gemma2017-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Was a lovey little place Slight issue with the water pressure but otherwise fine Would stay here next time we decide to visit this part of the world again

    Chris2017-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a must for any seasoned travellers or rustic loving holiday makers. The hosts made us feel welcome as soon as we walked through the door with snacks, prosecco and fresh flowers in every space. The hammock was the star of the show for the children and the gorgeous stained glass window was amazing. We were in awe of the use of space and attention to detail here. We will be back without a doubt with our 2 young children and collie... we are torn between shouting about this place from the rooftops or keeping it our wonderful little secret. The location couldn't be better and we were 4 mins drive from st ives and 5 mins from carbis bay... it is the perfect hub to come home to after a day mooching and surfing to hang your wetsuit and have a glass of wine amongst the fairy lights and scenic surround.

    Nicola2017-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful spot, very cool space, extremely welcoming hosts.

  • The space created by Holly and Josh is simple and unique and lends itself to those wishing to relax and put the world away for a while. The space is cosy, the wood-burner a delight. We bought our small dogs and it was perfect for them. Thank you

The Sheppy is a hand-built Shepherd's Hut made here in our garden just last year. Built to a high spec it has everything you need to enjoy a peaceful, relaxing few days away in the Cornish countryside. Just 3 miles from stunning St Ives and 5 miles from Penzance, we are surrounded by beautiful countryside and walks on a choice of fabulous beaches. The Sheppy is fully equipped with a microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle and a comfy double bed plus a great shower. We look forward to meeting you!
We have made a comfortable, cosy space ideal for a couple or for one person. There is space for a travel cot if you wanted to bring a little one. The underbed space is left free for you to put all your bags and cases out of the way so you can relax and unwind whilst you're here. There is a great eco efficient radiator that keeps it really warm and plenty of throws and cushions to cosy up with! There is a small breakfast bar and stools in the kitchen area so you can prepare and eat some meals if you want to. We will leave a welcome pack of essentials for you ( milk, tea, bread etc) to tide you over till you get to the shops! We provide bed linen and towels so you don't need to worry about those...
Cripplesease is a small hamlet in west Cornwall on the B3311 between St Ives and Penzance. There are around 10 houses and a great local pub - The Engine Inn, which does good pub food and often has live music going on. The area is famed for it's history of tin mining and the engine houses are a familiar sight around here... We are surrounded by fabulous beaches all around the peninsula and the coastal path is famous for its wild and rugged beauty whatever time of year you visit.
  • The host is friendly and hospitality, and I am really sure that this is the best place for Penzance, walking on the prairie is so close to nature. In addition, you can also see the ST Micheal Mount from the hut.

    Bruce2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • We have just spent 4 nights at the sheppy with Trisha and Alan, and it was fantastic! They are so friendly and we're brilliant hosts, who were there when needed for tips and advice on the local area. The little hut is in a great location for st Ives which is only a 10 minute drive away, and the same from Penzance. The engine inn across the road was lovely for food and was again so friendly and accommodating. We had our little baby boy with us and they were great at accommodating us to eat there. I would definately recommend Trisha and Alan's spot, and hope to return again. I would say it's perfect for a couple or a family with a baby like us, it is small but is fantastically equipt with quality furnishings and fittings x

    Holly2017-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect quiet get away for a couple and no more than 15 mins drive to penzance or st Ives

    Ethan2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Trish and Alan were most welcoming when we stayed there for the weekend. The sheppy was spacious , clean and well designed and set in a picturesque location. It's a stones throw from a lovely local pub. We enjoyed it so much we didn't want to leave. Highly recommended.

    Maxine2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cabin, lovely place & lovely hosts! A super place to stay!

    V2017-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • The Sheppy is a wonderful little hut. Very clean and surprisingly spacious! A lot of care has obviously gone into it (great colour scheme throughout!) The location itself is in a very peaceful, rural part of Cornwall. Perfect for visiting St Ives, Penzance etc. Expect a lot of driving though. Trisha and Alan were great hosts, making sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Thank you both.

Situated just over 3 miles from St. Ives, we live on the edge of the West Penwith moors and are surrounded by beautiful countryside with views extending to both the north and south coast. We are ideally located for those who love adventure and the outdoors, as well as those looking for a peaceful country break. We have two rooms available, so please enquire if you are a group larger than 2 people or require two seperate rooms. We also welcome families.
The guest accommodation occupies the whole of the top floor of the house and is accessed through the house by the front door. We have two guest bedrooms, a shared bathroom and a shared guest living/dining room with spectacular views and a woodburner to keep you warm in the colder months. All bed linen is supplied from a local laundry. **This room has twin single beds that are put together to form a Super King. Please let us know if you would prefer the room as a twin or Super King. ** In addition to the guest space, feel free to wander round our beautiful garden or just sit and enjoy the morning or evening sun. Please like and follow us on social media using 'Buthyn Dowr'. My husband is a livestock farmer born and bred in the parish of Towednack. As we are a working farm it is very likely that you will see cattle or sheep from your bedroom window but do note that there may be the odd farm smell or noise (particularly at lambing time!) when you enter the house. For those who enjoy walking or cycling, there are numerous footpaths and bridleways accessible within minutes of the house. Bicycles can be stored in the garage overnight and a bootroom is available for wet/muddy boots and clothing, as we ask that these are not taken to the rooms. A washing machine is available on request for a small charge. For those who enjoy the sea, there are too many beaches within 20 minutes to name! We are happy to offer recommendations depending on your preferences so please do ask.

  • We enjoyed a lot our stay at Jenny and Collin's house. It is very clean and nice home, located in the fields yet easy drive to Zannor and St Ives. A great escape into Cornish nature. The highlight was a farm tour that Collin has kindly given us, showing his cattle and telling great stories about his vast experience and passion in farming. Unforgettable! Thank you - we hope to return one day.

  • Buthyn Dowr is an amazing place and very well looked after by Jenny and Colin. It is located in the countryside, just 10-15min by car from St Ives which is very easily reachable. The scenery from the room and the living room is absolutely stunning and highly recommended. The room was very welcoming, clean and well decorated, with confortable beds, fluffy towels and tea and coffee facilities. The bathroom was also very clean and only shared between 2 rooms. Breakfast was kindly prepared by Jenny and absolutely delicious! The living room is spacious and a perfect space to spend some time, with sofa and books. Jenny and Colin are incredibly available, kind and interesting people. It is very pleasant to have chats with them. • Whistlers Rest is a beautifully kept cottage. It is in a perfect location being so close to St Ives. The wood burner was a real treat and didn't think we'd need it in June, but the weather rained for most of our stay, so we fired it up once or twice. Lovely welcome hamper was a wonderful surprise and the prosecco went down rather easily after a 6 hour drive. Beautiful cottage, beautiful decor, wonderful stay. Will recommend to anyone who'll listen!

  • Lovely cosy cottage. 5-10 min drive to St Ives. Loved sitting in the sunroom watching the sun go down with a glass of wine! Nice garden area too.appreciated the hamper with lots of goodies and prosecco! The children loved the apple juice too.

This cozy and spacious Victorian mining cottage sits on top of Trencrom Hill overlooking National Trust land and stunning views in all directions. It is ideally situated for quick access to country walks, a wealth of beaches and exciting towns.
This welcoming cottage is a family home that sleeps six comfortably in three large bedrooms. There is plenty of space for socialising downstairs in a connected dining room and front room. The house has a light and airy feel with big windows and wonderful views across the countryside. Guests have access to the entire house and front and back gardens. • I personally loved the house. Beautiful and clean. Beautiful vintage furniture and decorations. The attic is particularly pretty. Has all the necessary equipment for living including crockery, plates/pans, towel, bedding etc. The only things you need to bring are your toothbrush/paste and bodywash/soap/shampoo. There is only 1 toilet/shower for 6 people but we had no issues. The house more than big enough for 6 pax. Excellent communication from host - email from host contained all information required to find the house, check-in, and living there. Location is pretty good - only 15min drive to St Ives, or 20mins to Penzance. However it is necessary to have a car, otherwise it's hard to get around. If you love Cornwall and the countryside this property is excellent!

  • We stayed at trencrom cottage for a family holiday and it was the perfect base to explore Cornwall. Great location to st ives and st michaels mount. The Minack theatre is also a must! The best thing about the cottage was waking up to the gorgeous views, being able to walk outside and enjoy the peaceful country-side. There's no TV which was great - meant we put our phones down and enjoyed the time together. We ventured out most days but ate at the cottage in the evenings and there's everything you need there for cooking we even managed some baking! If your looking for some quality time, peaceful country side and lovely views - trencrom is perfect for you!

  • Our family with three children aged 9, 8 and 2 decided to explore Cornwall in the Winter and chose to stay at this lovely secluded cottage near St. Ives. It was definitely a world apart from our normal city life in London. There children loved staying in the cosy attic room and reading and playing games by the roaring fire in the sitting room, all without the distraction of TV and internet! The walk up to Trencrom Hill was easy even for the youngest member of the family and the views from there were simply stunning. From the cottage it was a short drive to St. Ives and was a good base to explore places like Penzance, Land's End, and the Helford surrounding areas. All in all, it was a very satisfactory stay and we would recommend it to anyone who is interested.

    Sophia2016-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Trencrom Hill cottage is located in a gorgeous area, in the middle of fields and hills. I liked the fact that there was no wifi - everybody was away from their phones for once. A haven of peace! This cottage was perfect for my family and me, the house is very clean, feels very homely and is comfortable. There is absolutely everything you need there. Also, after misreading the directions, I had to phone Hannah to find the cottage, and she was immediately available to help me, and very friendly and understanding. I don't have any negative comment to make, we had a marvelous stay in Trencrom thanks to Hannah & Caspar. Thank you very much!

    Marie2014-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • The Trencrom house is in a beautiful location, quite secluded and very peaceful. I stayed with 5 other friends for 3 nights and we loved the country feel of the place. It's only a 10 minute drive to a main town centre, and about 15-20 mins from St Michaels Mount which was great. The views were lovely to wake up to as well.

    Tessa2016-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had an absolutely fantastic time here. The house is beautiful, so tastefully decorated with a period feel but also as clean and easy to use as you would hope. Great beds. Enjoyed the closeness of the farm, waking up to the sound of the cows in the morning. Plenty of room for six of us, although the fridge was a bit small for a family self catering. The house is on a hill surrounded by gorgeous farmland but only a short drive from St Ives or the great sweeping beaches of Hayle, and we used it as a base to explore further west too. We've brought home happy memories and wouldhave no hesitation about returning, thank you for letting us use the house.

    Cole 2016-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Our group of 4 adults, 2 toddlers and 1 baby really enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of space for us all, although comfortable seating in the living room was limited. The location was perfect, close to Carbis Bay and St Ives and not far to the surfing beach at Gwithian. It is a lovely setting with amazing views and walks from the front door. Communication with the host was very efficient and they were really helpful with queries.

    Helen2015-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at this quiet spot. The house was very spacious for just the two of us and we thought it would make a great location for a larger group of friends. There were lots of interesting things to look at around the house and it felt very much like a country retreat. The views are beautiful and we enjoyed seeing the cows outside the front door in the morning (across the path, not on the door step!) Most things were provided, the beds were very comfortable and the showers were warm. We enjoyed making the fire in the living room on our last night in the house. The parking situation was a bit tricky but we managed to tuck the cars away - if we'd had a larger vehicle it might have proved tricky.

The Shed is the perfect getaway for couples, solo adventures, and couples with one small child. With beautiful views over the fields and out to sea it is the perfect place to relax and unwind. The beautiful town of St ives with it's stunning coastline, amazing restaurants and famous Tate gallery is only a 20 minute walk down the beautiful Cornish lane and just up the hill is The Steeple with 360 degree views to both coasts, Steeple Woods and Steeple Nature Reserve.
The Shed has it's own private access and shower room and is equipped with basic kitchen facilities including sink, fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. Kick back and unwind taking in the views from your own decked area or surf the net on our free wi-fi.
Our neighbourhood is beautiful, peaceful and extremely friendly. Surrounded by very few others enjoy the tranquility, rural walks, stunning views and the sound of the birds singing.
  • We had a lovely stay at The Shed, it's in the perfect location for enjoying St Ives & the surrounding villages, while being remote enough to feel like you're getting away from it all! The Sea view really added to the experience. Gareth & Rose were great hosts they were right there if we needed anything & George* the cat was adorable. The Bed was very comfortable and it was so peaceful at night that we slept really well(in fact we overslept it was so quiet outside so definitely set an alarm if you're used to the sounds of a city in the morning)! Highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a relaxing break in Cornwall. (URL HIDDEN)

    Will2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • The Shed appears to be brand new with modern appliances and a lovely hot shower. Rose and Gareth are in a particularly charming and peaceful spot. It is a beautiful, invigorating walk to St Ives, which ensures that you can indulge in all the pasties, cream teas and Cornish cider (or beer) you desire. There's also plenty of parking in St Ives if needed. We recommend the coastal walk to Zennor, lunch at the Seafood Cafe, a cuddle with George the cat and a coffee at the Digey Food Room. All round we had a stay to remember. Thanks again to Rose and Gareth for their hospitality.

    Sigrid2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • The Shed is exactly as promised. Very private location at the back of the main barn conversion, with great views out to sea across the field. Parking is directly outside and The Shed itself has been converted to a really high standard. It is super clean, stylish, modern and very comfortable, containing everything you need for a relaxing break. The communication and welcome from the hosts was fab and we even got to meet George the cat! We stayed in mid-October, during a storm (the notorious Brian!) and I have to say the Shed was cosy, warm and the soundproofing was great! The main centre of St Ives is about a 15 to 20 minute walk down the hill and around the quiet lanes and really easy to get to. Walking back is pretty easy and not too steep but, we did get a taxi back from town on a few occasions (c.£6-£8) as it was a bit rainy plus, we were too lazy and may have had a few too many ciders! I would recommend as a great place to stay when visiting the lovely St Ives.

    kerry2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Gareth and Rose’s Place has a lovely view, it’s rustic and works well for 1 person. 2 people can be accommodated but it is a little tight. The bed and bath are comfortable . I would stay again. Definitely would try to get there during the day. Challanging at night! It is set up with microwave but don’t expect to do any cooking .

    Cathy2017-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • The Shed was a great place to spend a few days! It was compact but had everything you could want. It's only a short walk into St Ives and we would recommend it to others! Thanks Rose and Gareth

    Emily2017-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • The Shed is one of our favourite places we have ever stayed! Clean, cosy, private and in the most beautiful location. George is the best cat in the world. I think we made a friend for life. Gareth and Rose are exceptionally helpful, lovely and accommodating, and they helped us out of a tricky situation owing to my silly mistake about when I booked for. Fantastic hosts! Would recommend to anyone!

    alice2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay in the shed, St Ives town centre was easily within walking distance and Gareth and Rose were on hand to answer any questions we had. Would love to go back!

We got lots of wonderful ideas for getting out in the area from Mark and felt completely welcome at his home. Thanks to Mark we had a fabulous Friday walking along the coast from Lelant to St Ives. Fantastic host.

  • Mark and Margaret were fantastic and the stables was an amazing find. We had a lovely stay and both mark and Margaret made us feel welcome. There was a wide range of breakfast options daily and all were re stocked. We couldn't have hoped for a nicer place to stay and we will definitely be returning. The only slight down side was the lack of Internet due to the massive granite walls but that didn't ruin the amazing location and trip we had. This is a gem in the heart of Cornwall!!

Tin Miner's cottage is close to St Ives, Penzance, St Michael's Mount, Land's End, fantastic beaches, coastal walks, sub-tropical gardens. It is very peaceful and quiet. The cottage has been in our family for more than 50 years - it is an interesting old place with original granite walls and simple but comfortable furnishing.
  • Penny was lovely and helpful and responded very quickly to my enquiry. The cottage was old and quaint and it felt like an authentic experience staying there. The wood burner was wonderful and cosy and was the highlight of our stay at the cottage. The neighbourhood is peaceful and quiet and the cottage was easy to find with satnav.

  • This was a beautifully peaceful and quiet location, perfect if you just want to wind down and relax. The cottage is as described and we found everything we needed was provided. The garden is private and a lovely spot to sit in and listen to the birds. Watch out for the radio in the kitchen though - it has an alarm which we inadvertently managed to set for 5.30am and were woken up by it on our first morning!

  • Great little bolt hole, cosy and hidden away in the beautiful countryside. A great location to visit St Ives, Mousehole and Lands End. Shops close by and stunning drives in every direction. A meal at The Gurnards Head Pub is a must.

Good location to explore Cornwall by car or bike, but a bit far from the bus station. (if you want to cycle around Cornwall, be prepared to face a lot of climbs!)

  • Barbara was a very nice host, she welcomed us warmly and we had the pleasure to spend some time to chat together and to share some late dinner. She told us everything that could be done and seen around the place, providing a quantity of detailed maps that were extremely useful given the intricacy of the land. She was also very arranging for the rental, putting an extra bed in the room so we could all fit in. The place is nicely located, half way from St-Ives and Penzance and their respective coasts, and is easy to locate with a navigation system or a decent map. The bedroom is wide and cozy and the bed is warm and reasonably comfortable. The kitchen is shared with Barbara (or other guests when she's not there) but is large enough so everybody can be there and occupied at once. The bathroom is quite sketchy in its makeshift design, but after all it works for having a warm shower. And it somehow adds to the charm of the house, which is globally very pretty and pleasant to occupy. Given the location and for the low price (rare in the region in summer), this is a place I warmly recommend!

  • We never met Barbara as she was away on an urgent matter, but her lomg term BnB guest took good care of us. Barbara has two BnB rooms that can be had. We tried both and the one with the on suite shower and toilet agreed with us well. The other room with the sofa that extents into a bed was less comfortable. For me (at 1.85 mtr) the bed was too short and my feet were hanging off the chilly metal tubing of the frame. It was also rather narrow for two people. Barbara allowed the use of her kitchen and sitting room to us but we were mostly about during the day and this wasn't an important thing to us. Parking our car was sometimes difficult too as Nancledra has very few available spaces. We managed to find a spot every time but some luck was involved as sometimes we had to wait till another person left.

    Wouter2015-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • What a nice room to use whilst exploring the area. Breakfast was provided and a shower unit is available for your use only. This was very inexpensive accommodation, in an area of very expensive hotels. I slept well, ate well and went home refreshed. Barbara, is kind and supportive without being interfering. Thank you for a good visit.

  • Barbara was a very kind and welcoming host. She even cooked for us the night we arrived and let us use her kitchen and everything as if it were our own. For those who do not mind a tiny bathroom in the porch this would be a good starting point to explore the most beautiful places in Cornwall. Don't miss out on Porthcurno Bay!

The cottage is a lovely, cozy space that has a warm and homely feel to it, with the log burner and underfloor heating. It is located just a 20 - 25 minute picturesque walk away from the heart of St.Ives. Surrounded by lush green fields and beautiful walks in every direction, it just may be the perfect get away from civilisation. If your looking for some where that has a natural and peaceful feel to it, with the knowing that just down the road you can be back to the hussle and bussle of a town, then my cottage is perfect for you. I have grown up on Hendra Farm, although we don't have any animals any more, we still have a lot of land and space to roam about and explore. I love the fact that you can come back to the farm and escape the sometimes claustrophobic feel of town. the closest bus stop is a 5 - 10 minute walk over the hill, which will take you to town, or other towns in cornwall. Or you can order a taxi to the front door.
The Cottage ( studio 4 ) is situated in the courtyard of Hendra Farm. There are 5 other cottages here, with 1 of them as a long let, 3 of them as holiday lets and my sister Kirsty decided she wanted to live in the last 1. It has a cute community feel, where everybody is friendly and sais hello whilst passing by.
  • Lovely, quiet spot within a 5 min drive of both St Ives and Carbis Bay. Great if you want peace and quiet and to completely chill out!

  • We were looking for a nice place we could stay with our new puppy for a few days. This place was perfect. It didn't smell doggy-ish the way some places might. Everything was really up and together and Jayce & Hannah were great about helping sort out my initial-messed up booking (entirely my fault). I'd recommend this place for anyone who had a dog, likes to walk and wants to be away from the masses. It's also only about £6 to get back up the hill in a taxi from town - and an easy walk down.

    Tracy2017-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous little place, well decorated and really Cosy. Bit of a walk down to the beach and town but easily accessed by car! Had a lovely Christmas and this was the perfect place for my partner me and our dog!

    jessica2016-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect, even better than the pictures, great location not in the centre of St Ives so you can drive to other parts of Cornwall with ease but also walk for 25 mins straight to the heart of St Ives. The cottage was lovely and everyone was so friendly. Jayce emailed me to check we got in okay and we felt very comfortable there and would definitely go back again. The directions that were given to us for the cottage were very helpful too which Jayce sent to us a couple of days before we were coming down. But seriously when they say be careful of the seagulls they mean it, my boyfriend had his chocolate mint ice cream scoop snatched right from him when walking away from the ice cream shop! But we had a great time, I would highly recommend.

    Laura2017-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet, cosy and clean. Close to St Ives and woodland walks as described, perfect for dog owners.

    Sam2017-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • the hosts were great. free logs for the wood burner, vouchers for the local chocolate shop, full equipped kitchen and a very helpful map with recommendations were all greatly appreciated. the cottage was very picturesque, clean, warm, quiet and cosy. the cottage was tucked away down a narrow country lane(a little hard to find) but added to the charm of the place, probably need a car unless you into your walking. The wood burner was a lovely way to finish off after a day going round the beautiful st Ives and the cottage was exactly what we had hoped for.

    Blerta2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little cottage with loads of character. There's even a little wood burner for the cold nights. We brought our whippet with us and there was loads of room for him and with a garden out front it was handy for his toilet breaks. There are loads of amenities near the area including a large supermarket if you need provisions for meals. The best thing is the town of St Ives is a short drive away.

    Aeryn2017-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was perfect for our mini-moon escape! We really enjoyed the location, close enough to St. Ives but also remote enough up on the hill to feel like like we were really away from it all. The studio was as we expected, it's well represented in the photos and everything worked well. We had a couple of chillier nights after walking back from St. Ives where we made great use of the wood burner which made for the studio feeling very cosy. There was a nice welcome sheet which included some great recommendations in St. Ives. The kitchen had everything we needed, and it was handy that the Tesco's in Carbis Bay was so close by so that we got the essentials in. It was essential to have our car, which meant our location was a great base for exploring Cornwall. The only (minor) tricky thing we experienced was parking on the road outside the cottage studios, it was quite busy when we stayed and a couple of times we struggled to squeeze in, though we always managed about out of high season (when we stayed) I guess it wouldn't be an issue.

The little Cabin is located in it's own private, quiet garden on our smallholding in the glorious Cornish countryside, 5 mins outside the picturesque town of St Ives. We have many rescued animals including donkeys, shetland ponies, sheep, dogs & cats. (Who may visit you during your stay.) The cabin sleeps 3 people. A single bed and a double sofa bed. It is fully equipped including fresh, clean bed linen, a toaster, microwave, kettle, cooker, fridge/freezer, TV , books & games. We can offer a babysitting service if required @ £10 per hour. We live in a lovely, peaceful, semi-rural part of Cornwall. 5 mins drive from the beautiful, quaint old fishing town of St Ives. There are lots of visitor attractions nearby and many beautiful gardens to visit. The Eden Project is an hours drive away. There are many great Coastal walks locally and countryside walks from the Cabin. Lots of wildlife, foxes, badgers, buzzards and the occasional deer.
  • Wonderful little cabin, with everything you could need at hand. Lovely walk into St Ives but quite a steep walk back, taxi's were under £10 back though. We loved it.

    Penny2017-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay in the lovely little cabin. It was idealy situated whether you wanted to mooch around the immediate area (St Ives was a 20min walk which we enjoyed and Suzanne was always offering lifts) or whether like us you wanted to explore the whole of West cornwall, it's a short drive to a variety of areas on the coast, we did a different beach everyday! We also loved being on top of the hill, the view of the surrounding area is stunning, you feel like you have you're own little patch of Eden, and if you walk down the field you can see the sea! The cabin its self was well equipped and very comfortable, we had everything we needed and Suzanne made us feel at home from hello! I loved the decoration and we got lots of little extras. It's worth remembering you are on a farm but you have you're own fenced off area so plenty of privacy! Overall a great stay at a great location, if we go back to west cornwall it will definatly be to the little cabin!

  • Suzanne was very generous and welcoming. The cabin and the surrounding environment were lovely. It was great to sit around the stone circle by the fire with Suzanne and her family.

    Sally2015-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Suzanne was a very warm hostess and the Cabin was really cosy and clean, with great facilities. The little extras she provided really helped make our holiday special, particularly the children's beach toys. The animals were sweet, the garden delightful, and the views pleasant. The location was great for getting about, by car and foot. We'd definitely stay again and recommend the Cabin to friends.

    Rowan2015-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a wonderful time at Little Cabin. We found there everything we needed and even more - Suzanne took care of every detail in her Little Cabin! The housing conditions were perfect (well-equipped kitchen and very nicely arranged space), not mentioning the shed fool of beach and barbecue accessories. We had a good contact with Suzanne who was very helpful and respected our privacy. Very quiet and peacefu place. Highly recommended!

  • We had the most gorgeous time here - I felt genuinely sad to leave, we felt so at home and this is the most relaxed I have felt in a long time. The cabin was beautifully decorated and incredibly well equipped with lots of helpful little extras. Wonderful seeing the different animals on the farm and the best part was the most warm, generous and lovely host, Suzanne, who I miss too. Will definitely be back one day.

Aside from nature, there's oodles of art, craft and pottery to see and buy and lots of good places to eat with the emphasis on 'fresh' and 'local'.
  • The welcome was very warm, we felt we like in home. Alison like an angel. The accommodation was nice, clean very friendly we think better than some 5stars hotels. After a long day out in Cronwall nice to have a good rest on the lovely king size memory foam mattress. In the bathroom you can refreshing with huge ceiling shower. During the night Alison makes the place more homely with some lanterns. The biggest suprise was the breakfast. Amazing portions and beautiful presentation. She is serving home made jams from local farmers shops, tasty coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. The area very quiet and and 20minutes distance from St. Ives and Penzance by car. We recommend Alison's wonderland to everyone.

Traditional, old Cornish miner's cottage in the beautiful, rural hamlet of Cripplesease, with extensive views over rolling countryside. Fairhaven is perfectly located for the South West, being three miles from St Ives and four miles from Penzance. Ideal base for walkers, surfers and cyclists and anyone who wants to get away from it all. Just two minutes walk to the great, local pub, the Engine Inn.
This detached cottage sits in its own gardens with easy access to the road to St Ives and Penzance. As the home of a local, photographic artist, Fairhaven features many examples of his original work.
Fairhaven, with its panoramic, rural views has immediate access to two footpaths. West Cornwall's inland and coastal paths and beautiful beaches are within easy access. Traditional ales, and good food are served in the Engine Inn nearby, a short walk away. Beyond the pub lies Gew Mine sitting on the hill top.
  • We have just returned from a two week stay at Nancledra and it was a wonderful fortnight. The house is just lovely, very quiet and seemingly remote with an uninterrupted view across the landscape. It's very comfortable indeed with lots of original character and a well equipped kitchen if you feel like cooking. If not you should definitely get to know the nearby Engine Inn. It's a very friendly pub with decent food and a relaxed family atmosphere full of locals. John and Claire pulled out all the stops to welcome us and were always on hand for anything we might need (not that we did!). Nancledra is a great jumping off point for exploring the peninsula without being caught up in the many tourist traps. If you're a meat eater and a pasty fancier I thoroughly recommend the family butcher in St Just.

Beside Trencrom Hill, tucked in an idyllic sheltered valley is Bracken Cottage. It was built around 1800 for miners and is now a Grade II listed building which has been carefully renovated to keep it's original character with open beams, wooden floors and slate window sills. Outside there is a little stream that runs through the front garden and a natural spring beside the lane. Ideally for couples plus one other adult, the upstairs of the cottage is light and airy, with one good-sized bedroom with a King-size luxurious memory mattress, and artisan fitted wardrobe and drawers. Also upstairs is a mezzanine floor with a single built in bed, which can be used as another sleeping space. The bathroom is the cottage original with Victorian bath, basin and toilet, all with brass fittings. Downstairs is open plan, with a cosy living room at one end with a large inglenook fireplace with a wood burner. The kitchen is spacious with an oil fired Aga, as well as an induction hob and an integrated grill/convection/microwave oven. At the back of the house is a light and warm conservatory with another cabin bed that leads to a utility and wet room and another toilet. This overlooks the back private courtyard walled garden. The cottage is not suitable for children.
Just a few miles inland from St Ives Bay where the North and South Coast almost meet, is Trencrom Hill, an Iron Age Hill Fort owned by the National Trust and surrounded by woods and gorse. Standing on it's granite outcrops give you some of the best views over West Cornwall to the North coast with it's long sandy beaches and lighthouse and the South coast's St. Michael's Mount sitting in the bay near Penzance.
  • We felt incredibly welcome especially as there were scones when we arrived! The cottage is better than expected. It is in an incredibly scenic location and lovely and spacious inside. We felt very at home.

  • We had a lovely stay in Rebecca's cottage! The location is nestled away in the Cornish landscape and only a short drive away from St Ives. We used it as a base to visit other places along the Cornish coast. Thanks for having us!

  • We truly enjoyed every moment at Bracken Cottage! The cottage is even more beautiful than in the photos and although Rebecca was away during our stay, her kindness and and warm hospitality were present during our visit. From the fresh home made bread and scones (which were just what we needed after a long drive), to the cozy and beautiful cottage complete with helpful instructions and friendly neighbors who check in on you, we could tell that Rebecca cares very much for guests. She was always available via e-mail and we felt very well looked after but never intruded upon. You will be very fortunate to have Rebecca as your host!

  • Paradise has a name! We loved every minute at this cottage and would move right in if the chance given. We were very warmly welcomed with fresh homemade bread and scones (best we had during our entire holidays). Rebecca and her neighbor made our stay heaven - thanks so much to both of you!

  • The cottage could not have been more perfect! Then, to arrive there to homemade scones, bread, jams, clotted cream, milk....we had been traveling and were so jet lagged...I mean, Rebecca outdid herself! Cornwall is such a magical place and the cottage has just the right amount of modern upgrades without losing the charm of the 1800's. A perfect vacation for my husband and I.

Trewynne Coombe is full of rustic charm, nestling in a small scenic valley west of Trencrom Hill, this wooden chalet retains it's air of history. This Marconi Hut originally located on The Lizard to accommodate workers when the first cable was laid across the Atlantic Ocean over one hundred years ago, in 1934 the hut was moved by horse and cart to it's present rural location within the smallholding of Trewynne Coombe just 3 miles west of St Ives and north of Hayle.
A small little wooden hut situated within the working small-holding of Trewynne Coombe. The property has 2 bedrooms, a small conservatory to the front with seating, a lounge, dining-room, bathroom and kitchen.
Coombe is a tiny hamlet situated on the west side of Trencrom Hill. It is approx 1 mile to the nearest bus stop and also The Engine Inn at Nancledra, Approx 3 miles to the nearest shop, so your own transport is recommended. Hayle with supermarkets is 3 miles away, it also has restaurants pubs and 3 miles of beach. St Ives is also about 4 miles away, famous for its quaint town and harbour, with a good range of shops and restaurants.
  • Rebecca was brilliantly organised and communicative, making our arrival smooth and simple. The house is a charming and characterful wooden cottage in lovely gardens, a short drive from both Hayle and St. Ives, but set in a quiet country lane with little passing traffic. The house is 1950's pre-fab style, but has all the modern amenities you'd need. If you want a simple, pretty, secluded getaway, this is the place for you.

  • We had a good time staying at Becky's house. The property is tidy and clean. Becky was very friendly and welcoming. She gave us a tour around the property and suggested that it would be better to take train to St Ives as it will be difficult to find a parking slot during the peak summer season.

Becky was in touch right from the point of booking and really helpful whenever I called. The location was also excellent, with very easy access into St Ives. We used the local cabs (Ace Cars) a couple of times and found them to be efficient and friendly. Overall a great place for a break.

  • While I did not meet Rebecca she was very easy to communicate with and made our arrival easy. The cottage is as described. Rebecca provided food for breakfast and tea/coffee. The property was clean, tidy and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and found the property relaxing. Worth keeping in mind that there is no internet and a field next to the property is a camping ground.

  • This is a beautiful tranquil spot ideal base for exploring Cornwall in any direction but need your own transport as you are out in a gorgeous country side. The caravan was very clean , plenty of towel and comfortable beds. Little extra like bread, milk, butter ,tea , coffee, sugar and flowers it shows Francisca really cares about her guest's comfort. Thank you so much Francisca certainly we will come back again if you will have us. Roger, Lelani & Nancy

  • Our first visit to Cornwall was everything we were hoping for. The place was beautiful and secluded. You could only hear the birds singing or the sound of a horse passing by. The caravan was a cosy little home, well equipped and the view to the green fields and trees was lovely. Francesca was the perfect host, never imposing but helpful. She made us feel at home. We had a wonderful week and would highly recommend Francesca‘s place.

    Teresa2017-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Francesca's. The caravan was very clean, well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. The location is great too as it's very peaceful and close to many lovely places in Cornwall. I would definitely recommend to stay in this caravan.

    Marie2017-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay here, a great place to base yourself in Cornwall. Caravan had everything we needed and the bread, fruit, milk etc were a lovely touch.

    Stephanie2017-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely caravan in a beautiful setting. It was an ideal base for our little family and my three year old especially loved seeing the tractors going by! The care package of bread and fruit on arrival was a great touch. 10/10 would definitely stay here again.

    Grace2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay in this lovely camper, we had everything we needed and were close to all touristic activities. Thanks Francesca and Uwe for your hospitality!

    Nathalie2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Yes it's a static caravan so the walls are thin, the TV reception is a bit hit and miss and there's no wif. BUT if you want to get away from it all it's a secluded, very comfortable and beautifully positioned cabin. We met our friendly host Francesca. She was there if we needed her, which we didn't, and left us to enjoy the tranquility that this spot deserved... Missing it already.

  • Super stay. We are a family of five with two young kids and a teenager. The location is not as isolated as I thought it was going to be. Everything is just a short drive away, and it's a really very good spot for exploring the area. Good space for parking your car. I wouldn't say there was much to do outside the house itself so a car is essential. Though I should add we live on the equator so the temperature and wind alone during our stay (in June!) was enough to keep everyone inside, so there maybe some great walking options but just not on our radar. The house is very clean, and has pretty much everything you need by way of utensils. Three big hypermarkets are about five mins drive away to stock up or there's a local store about 10 mins walk away to get your essentials like tea, milk etc. The upstairs lounge is a delight, full of charm, and certainly the place to hang out in the house. Relaxing views - assuming decent weather of course. Comfortable beds. We all slept extremely well. It's always a delight to find a place that welcomes families and Emma is very reachable and was always quick to respond to any queries we had. Beautiful stay.

    Chris2017-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Eventhough we didnt have a chance to meet Emma. Her house is an ideal house for friends and family. Especially if you love to cook to your own food since the kitchen is well equiped and has plenty of space. The back yard is perfect for bbq. And last but not least this house is very close to St Michael Mount and only 30 mins drive to Minack Theater and Lands.

    Kiddii2017-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Emma's house has been great! Beautiful living room, nice bedrooms with view on the countryside, spacious and bright kitchen. Everything was tidy and clean. Highly recommended.

    Dario2017-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • The room is big, clean, organised, and cooking available. I like the bed quality because the bed is good for quickly getting sleeping. The garden is beautiful. I love to stay at this point.

  • A perfect place to stay to enjoy Cornwall... the house is clean, cosy and modern. I recommend everything about the experience!

  • Your home was incredible! Can't wait to come back and stay again soon! My parents and grandparents loved it too! It's a stones throw from both sides of the Cornwall coast. Beautiful walks and lovely house! The log burner made it perfect and cosy! Thanks Emma!! X

  • Beautiful place for family stay. Very quiet, with fantastic views. Well equipped, very cozy with private parking. Very friendly and helpful host. High recommend!

  • This house is in a central location to visit the north and south coast of Cornwall. The house is on a hill and has beautiful views and lots of natural sunlight. The kitchen is well equipped and Emma was on hand to give advise on places to visit. She was contactable at any time which was also reassuring. We would definitely recommend this home for a holiday stay and we hope to visit again soon!

A newly converted barn situated in the grounds of our home, The Wrens Nest is close to the sea, 10 minutes drive from Penzance and 13 minutes from St Ives. You’ll love our place because of the beautiful surrounding countryside and the peace and tranquility. Our place is good for couples and solo adventurers.
A detached converted barn with its own private patio area.
  • Farway Barn was superb! It's just the right size for two. It's a studio set up with separate bathroom. Beautifully decorated and spotless. The kitchen has everything you need and more. Marisa left the makings for tea and coffee, including milk, orange juice also a complete cream tea ( scones, jam and cream) Marisa and Harry are a lovely couple intent on marking your stay as comfy as possible. We will be going again, often.

  • They were very friendly and welcoming, with some lovely foods and offers to help bring our bags around. The home itself was private, cozy, and just what we needed. Despite the cold and damp of November, we stayed warm and comfortable. We would love to stay here again.

    Jeff2016-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely stay Marisa and Harry were very welcoming. A places to visit box with lots of ideas and information on the surrounding area is in the property. Everything is clearly marked so it is easy to enjoy every aspect of the property. We had a lovely stay and thoroughly recommend this place. The restaurant at Sennen Cove was great and the linguine seafood was wonderful all why looking at the most spectacular beach. Marizon is very pretty and The Godolphin was very nice for evening dinner again with a spectacular view of St Micheals Mount. Go to this lovely place and be guests of lovely people! It's a no brainer!

    Linda2016-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic time in Marisa and Harry´s lovely converted barn. They are the perfect hosts with great tips for their guests. The barn is really cosy and fully equipped, even though it is quite small. It is very neatly located and the perfect starting point to explore beautiful Cornwall.

    Stephan2017-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Marisa and Harry were the perfect hosts. They sent me detailed directions to the barn and gave us a full tour of the Wrens Nest on arrival. Lovely to have some essentials and treats (cream tea!) to get us started. The barn is perfect in every way and was exactly what we were looking for. It's immaculately decorated and furnished and spotlessly clean. It is very private with its own outside space a bonus too. It is kitted out with everything you could possibly need for a short or longer stay, Marisa really has thought of everything! Its location is ideal for exploring West Cornwall and close to Penzance and St Ives. A wonderful stay and we would love to return one day.

    Elizabeth2016-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • It was our first Airbnb experience and we had a wonderful time. Warm welcome from Marisa and Harry to their beautiful converted barn. The barn itself is absolutely perfect, furnished and decorated to perfection with everthing you would want or need. We will hopefully come back and would recommend this place to everybody.

    Julia2016-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • A small but perfectly formed detached cabin set in Marisa and Harry’s lovely garden in deepest West Cornwall. The Wren’s Nest is peaceful, sparklingly clean, stylishly decorated and very cosy. There is everything that guests could possibly need for a weekend or a full week’s stay. The kitchen is better equipped than most full size holiday cottages. We were warmly welcomed, and delighted to find all the makings for a cream tea waiting for us. Wonderful stay, many thanks Marisa and Harry!

    Hannah2017-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • The Wrens' Nest is bijou accommodation but absolutely perfect for comfort and as a base for exploring this area. Everything was spotlessly clean and Harry and Marisa are welcoming and thoughtful hosts.

Our luxury bell tent provides everything you need for a perfect holiday, set on a working smallholding between Penzance & St Ives with a well-equipped camp kitchen, camping toilet & undercover outdoor hot shower. Raised inflatable beds with bedding, blankets and towels, crockery & cutlery are provided & the tent has a firepit & dutch oven outside. It is pitched in an enclosed paddock, giving you complete privacy to enjoy your glamping experience.
The tent is a luxury 5 metre bell tent and can accommodate four people in comfort. Either two adults & two children or four adults - beds can be configured accordingly. Access to the paddock is up some granite steps, making it unsuitable for guests with mobility issues. The smallholding is situated at the end of a farm track, which can be bumpy and access to the tent is via the back of our house. As it is a completely working smallholding there will be farm equipment around, meaning you're arriving at a working farm with all that entails. Being camped within the smallholding is a great experience and you are close to many of the livestock. Parking is at the front of the house in the smallholding yard, where we store farm equipment and logs etc. Being an Airbnb listing, we're not a hotel chain, we're an ordinary family who want to offer you a chance to share the amazing place we live in. We endeavour to give you the best holiday possible and to sort out any issues that arise for our guests as soon as they inform us of them. So, if you have any issues during your stay please tell us, otherwise we won't k w they need addressing. We can accept dogs as long as they are extremely well-behaved or kept on a lead at all times around the smallholding as we have livestock. What's provided: Bedding - quilts, pillows, blankets sheets. Towels - Bath sheet & hand towels for all guests (please bring your own beach towels ) Crockery, cutlery, BBQ tools Pots & pans Washing up liquid Basic toiletries Tea & coffee (instant and ground) Breakfast cereals Milk Orange juice Fire pit BBQ Dutch oven Games (indoor & outdoor) Toilet roll Fire extinguishers Fire blanket First aid kit BBQ coals Bag of logs/newspaper/fire lighters Torch We aim to provide most of everything you need to make your glamping experience one that you'll enjoy and remember. Please remember though that it *is* camping and as such some of your home comforts won't be available.
The smallholding is located halfway between Penzance and St Ives in a designated area of outstanding beauty. Beautiful beaches are a short drive away or there is a bus stop in the village. Both Penzance and St Ives have a wide range of galleries covering all art forms from traditional to more contemporary. There are pubs and restaurants nearby, clifftop walks, woodland adventures, all a very short distance away.
  • Comfy, cosy & everything needed for a relaxing stay in st ives. Great host, great views & lots of little touches too like hot water bottles, a radio, games for children, cosy blankets & electric cool box.

  • Lovely secluded little spot that's really close to st Ives and surrounding beaches. Very friendly hosts who made us feel welcome and had equipped the tent with everything we could need.

    Kate2017-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, very private and tranquil location. Very friendly down to earth hosts would recommend to anyone!!

    Stu2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • The tent and it’s situation was wonderful - a bit of Darling Buds of May - beautiful countryside, geese, a goat, cows, and pet pigs - and a beautiful old dog were just who we met. In the tent there were lots of really great touches to make it feel homely and cosy. The airbeds were incredibly comfortable, and I slept really well, even though my dog jumped in with me in the middle of the night. It was a great camping experience, really comfortable yet I still still felt I was sleeping outside, camping and and close to the elements, but well protected from them. Perfect! I also loved the outdoor kitchen and all the attention Stacey and her husband had made to the outside buildings. We were given a warm welcome by all the family - thanks so much, and I would love to stay again when I next come down to Cornwall.

    Jemima2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a nice time and everything was as described. Inside the tent was very cosy and the kitchen had everything we needed. The shower was good too. The road leading up to the house / tent is very pot holed and we had to drive really slowly. Also the toilet is a camping toilet (not plumbed in) so be prepared for emptying (without rubber gloves)!

    Rachel2017-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Stacey and her family provided us with a warm welcome. The communication beforehand was excellent and Stacey provided all of the information we required before arrival. The property is easily accessed by public transport with a bus to either St Ives or Penzance 5 minutes walk away. The accommodation has been set up with much thought. The tent was cozy and the hot water bottles provided much needed warmth! The bell tent is of superior quality and, although it rained throughout our stay, it remained 100% dry. The outdoor facilities have been very well thought out and installed (strong pressure in the outdoor shower). It was useful to have the outdoor kitchen so close by and it was well equipped (with breakfast cereals provided). It was a superb glamping experience for our family and we thank Stacey for being a great host!

    Yasmin2017-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Just finished our two night stay. The location is really idyllic with views of surrounding fields filled with sheep, cows and ducks! Really nice attention to detail with coffee, cereal, kitchen equipment and even things like earplugs! Thank you Stacey for a lovely stay.

  • During our one night stay at Morwenna's house in Carbis Bay area we really enjoyed the clean and comfortable room, and the hosts made us feel very welcome at their home. As the house is not directly near any main road, Morwenna offered to pick us up with her car at a convenient spot. We enjoyed a meal together at the hosts' kitchen and learned a lot about local culture and attractions. Highly recommended!

    Paweł2016-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Morwenna was an excellent host, she made us feel very welcome, and we had pleasant conversations with her. The room and the house are perfect: cozy, tidy, clean, and very nicely decorated. Lastly, she advised us to try a nearby gastro-pub, which ended up being the most awesome dinner we had in England so far! Her house is in the countryside, so it's perfect if you get by car, and seek peace and lovely landscapes; not sure how long does it take to St Ives on foot.

    Giacomo2016-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • Although we didn't meet Morwenna we enjoyed her upstairs apartment and the long walk down to St Ives along with the short walk to the local pub.

    Dora2016-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • I've spent two days with my friend at Morweena's house and it has been fantastic: the house is clean and the position is very good if you want to visit all beautiful places near Port Isaac. We met Morweena only for a few minutes because she was very busy in working and studying but she made us feel like at home. She is a very nice and kind girl... I hope to come back soon!

    greta2016-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Morwenna was incredibly kind and patient with us. Although we did not manage to meet her, she arrange everything for us. The house is clean and warm and the room is big and bright. We had a terrific sleep and enjoyed the stay.

    Francesca2016-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • Morwenna was a delightful host, very warm and welcoming.... And was a great help when we had trouble with (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN)'s directions.

    Chris2016-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Morwenna was a fantastic host, friendly and available. She was very welcoming and she let us feel at home, she even let us be the first guests to see the kitchen being re-decorated ! The room is lovely, with some nice extra (like some bites for breakfast and tea facilities). Overall great experience :) Going there by car is a must!

    Antonio2016-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Morwenna is an extremely hospitable host! She kindly offered to pick us up from the city centre because we couldn't figure out the route back to her house. Her house is extremely clean and well-organized. I highly recommend staying at her place.
