“One of the regions finest nature centers for families. Donated by the Dodge family, this former working farm lets kids experience baby animals up close, and visit an orchard, wetlands, apiary, mixed decicuous and pine woodlands, and seasonally, play in nature, such as by building snow forts, picking apples and making cider, or by riding with sled dogs. There is no admission fee. Weekday visits are a quiet, peace-filled wonder. ”

Recreation Center
“In Minnesota, our outdoor climbing sucks, but our climbing gyms are rock solid (bahahaha!) VE Bloomington is one of the best gyms in the Midwest if not in the country. If you're not afraid of heights, or even if you are, pop into VE for a day and get a fantastic, fun workout for the whole family. (P.S. Your host is a climbing junkie, and she would happily show you the ropes. Oops, another bad pun. Sorry.)”

“Cheapest grocery store in the area. They don't have a great selection of organic, gluten free, dairy free if this is important. ”
