The Granary at Pierman Homestead farm is a unique and spacious home. Set on a small farm in the country, the it was converted from barn to cottage in the late 1990's. The home overlooks a farm pond and grazing pasture. Pets are allowed (for fee) and our dog and cats may stop by to visit. Great for families coming home to visit, or looking for a place to get away. This is a peaceful farmhouse outside of Deshler, OH, the crossroads of the B&O railroad. Part of the history of the house is that my grandparents came from a coal mining camp in Utah where my grandma was teaching school and my grandfather was a miner. Hobos stopped by for an egg sandwich during the depression and the house gradually acquired adaptations for aging family members making it perfect for multigenerational travelers.
