“This is such a WONDERFUL spot! The sweet Artisan Cafe is decked out with local artwork, full of lovely rustic treats and healthy lunch options, all tucked inside a gorgeous lodge. Enjoy the lake on a sunny afternoon or live music/entertainment one evening on the lawn (one of the only lush lawns in our area!). The upstairs great room is typically bustling with activity too so be sure to check out their calendar before you go, you might happen upon something fabulous like a yoga class, string quartet performance or art exhibit, this place is a MUST-SEE! ”

Park
“Trail head is located on the North side of the bridge just past McKinley Village. Park on the left side of the road and head towards the bridge. Trailhead marker is there. This one is for avid hikers. It’s 9.5 miles. Begin in McKinley Village and end in Denali National Park. There is a shuttle that can take you back so you don’t have to hike back. Or do the round trip for a 19 mile hike. Some incline but not much. ”

“In the heart of "Glitter Gulch" where many of the restaurants and hotels are just outside of Denali National Park is Black Bear Cafe. It's a little local gem in the midst of corporate hotels. They have great desserts, coffee, breakfast, and lunch items. Their outdoor deck is nice for relaxing and people watching. Locally owned and operated. ”
