Just booked in Denholme

It has been our life's passion to rebuild this wonderful coaching house into the most amazing country home imaginable! Far too magnificent to keep to ourselves,we invite you to come and enjoy it too! The apartment sleeps 4 people in 1 double and 1 twin room and is a wonderful space in the most beautiful countryside!
It's a fabulous space - fresh, light, airy, modern, stimulating and ingenious with some extraordinary touches: Japanese style screens around the raised double bed, metal and perspex stairs leading to a cosy twin roof room - high tech meeting old timbers. Marvellous chunky beams, wide planked floors, original art on subtle walls.
This is a fabulous area for entertainment and eating places, we are extremely lucky! We have theatres, cinemas, music venues, museums and galleries within a 15 minute drive and Leeds and Manchester are both very easy to get to. Just ask and we will let you know what's going on. Of course - the beautiful Pennine landscape is right outside the door offering wonderful walking, bird watching, mountain biking and touring opportunities so you can just show up and chill out if you want to!
  • Hilly and her family could not have made us feel any more welcome. From the moment we arrived at Oats Royd Barn, we were welcomed into the family home. Hilly, Dan, Annie and Tom are lovely people and it became quickly evident that they enjoy greatly having people stay at the apartment. We were even invited to the marvellous Picturehouse in Hebden Bridge, to watch the new Holmes film, with Hilly and her family. The location of the barn is superb, being only four miles to Hebden Bridge and the same distance to Halifax. We were able to drive to Leeds in half an hour too. Local train stations make travelling in the area economical.

  • we had a lovely week long stay at Hilly's and Dan's loft apartment. I booked it to stay with my family from New Zealand, and we had a great time. The apartment is clean light and lovely and was a great base. the area is picturesque and worth visiting. Hilly, Dan and their family made us feel welcome and shared coffees and a chat. I will definitely stay there again and intend to do some walking next time.

  • What a great place, beautiful scenery, relaxing environment, and a conscientious host. Nothing left to say other than, Hilly, thank you for your hospitality.

    Haris2017-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Hilly and Dan are the most incredible hosts, whom we now call our friends. Apart from the loft being an incredible culmination of creativity it is the hosts that really make this place something special that everyone should experience. Although I wouldn't recommend as dramatic a visit as we had, there is nowhere else we would could have been more supported. Hilly and Dan not only provided us with a comfortable place to lay our heads, but also with practical and emotional support during a difficult time. Hilly even invited us to share a magnificent meal with her and her family. Thank you again for everything Sandra, Lynn, Gervase and Ralf

  • We have just returned from our trip to Oats Royd Barn. Hilly and the whole family made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Their home is incredible and the flat that we stayed in is tucked into the top corner of this amazing building. The flat itself was immaculate and full of character. We wish we could have stayed longer and explored the beautiful surrounding hills but we did get the rest we were in much need of and felt very looked after. Thank you so much for your hospitality and sharing your beautiful space.

    Nicola2016-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Hilly and Dan are very wonderful and helpful people! We really appreciate your kindness to offer pick up at train station and lend us the bowl :-) we will post it back soon. Beautiful view and very detailed apartment, love it!

    Barita2016-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was a wonderful experience. Right from the moment of arriving and being invited in four a glass of wine, to the end of the week having coffee together discussing citroens. The apartment is lovely, a real retreat peace, and has everything that you could need. They even have a charge point for hybride cars if only I had thought to bring my cable! We stayed just the two of us but you can comfortable take two other people along with you. We would love to stay their again when we are next in the area.

    Leo2016-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this place! As all the other reviewers have said - you receive such a warm welcome on arrival, and made to feel very much at home. The apartment is perfect, with everything you need for a family of 4, and a generous welcome basket on arrival. It is such a quirky place, with so much character and history - and set in a beautiful valley with stunning views. We very much enjoyed our stay, - going on some great walks - and visiting Hebden Bridge, Halifax, the Bronte Parsonage and the Media Museum in Bradford. - There's so much to see and do around this area though, that we hope to be back again soon and stay Hilly and Dan's fantastic apartment.

A lovely Yorkshire cottage with beautiful large gardens and grounds, including a carp pond. This is glorious countryside with the owners sheep farm next door. Whilst it is remote countryside (and you need a car) yet you are not far from civilisation eitheir. An ideal place for a family break or with a group of friends. For large groups it can be combined with the Ash Court , which is next door.
Its the best of both worlds, if you are visiting Bradford, its only 5 miles away but set in a lovely secluded rural location. Just outside the Bronte birthplace village of Thornton.

Bedroom and own sitting room and bathroom in characterful restored former ministers house built 1842. Log burning stove, central heating and double glazing. Situated in the historic pennine village of Thornton, birthplace of the Brontes, the house is well sited for walks, bike rides and in easy reach of Saltaire, Haworth, Bradford, Halifax and Keighley .Local shops, gallery, pubs, and good places to eat in easy walking distance. Good bus links from Bradford and Keighley. LGBT friendly.
This is a stone built detached house with lots of period features (such as window shutters and some stone flagged floors). It would be ideal for people who are looking to do some walking or cycling in the area or who want a comfortable base for sightseeing or just chilling. We are well situated for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, Pennines,Trough of Bowland areas. We are right on the Bronte Way. You will have a double room ,a large sitting/dining room of your own and exclusive use of one of the bathrooms. There are fantastic views from the front of the house and pleasant cottage style gardens for your use.
Thornton is a village on a south facing valley side, just above Bradford on the edge of the moors. The older houses and cottages are built of the local sandstone and are often packed tightly together with little cobbled streets and alleyways. There is a local art gallery, gin bar, deli cafe bar and a good selection of pubs. It is mainly surrounded by farmland, with many footpaths. A feature is the massive old railway viaduct which spans the valley below the village and leads towards Queensbury the highest village in England. This is now a cycle and walkway and has great views.

My place was built in the 1780's and is close to Haworth, home of the Bronte sisters and the famous moors, as well as the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway with Oxenhope station just a 10 minute walk away. You’ll love my place because of the cosy cottage feel, great location for walking and a one minute walk to a great local pub. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and small families.
Central heating and multi fuel stove with free logs and fuel. Free wifi. TV, DVD, Radio/CD etc. Bed linen and towels provided.
Located in a small hamlet with open views front and rear. Close to local pub serving quality food (including limited take away) and real ale. The local co-op, chemist, bus stop and Oxenhope train station are a few minutes walk. Leeming reservoir is just over the road and a great starting point for walks
  • My sister and I came for a few days' walking and Anne's lovely cottage was the perfect base. Beautiful views and walks, some without having to get in the car. The cottage has been lovingly and beautifully restored to a very high standard, and the interior is stylish and cosy. Anne has thoughtfully provided everything a guest might need or want - comfortable bed, great shower, lots of fluffy towels, nice china, wood stove as well as central heating, comfortable sofa-bed (rare!), sharp knives (also rare!), nice toiletries, milk in the fridge, fruit in the fruit bowl and cake in the tin! What more could you ask? Thanks for such a lovely stay, Anne. We'll be back!

  • Great host and lovely cottage, very homely and immaculately clean. Highly recommend

    jonny2017-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Anne was quick to respond to any queries before we arrived. She greated us on arrival and took us into the cottage, explaining a few things to us. The cottage was warm, cosy and spotlessly clean. There was a small, but we'll equipped kitchen, walk books, guides and nice little touches like milk in the fridge and exquisite cake. The pub was 1 minutes walk away. The Worth Valley Railway 15minutes walk. All in all a fantastic weekend

    Jacqueline2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Anne's cottage in Oxenhope near Haworth. Anne met us on arrival and was very welcoming. She had even baked cake for us which was a really nice touch and delicious. The cottage is very smart and very comfortable. It has been furnished very thoughtfully and to a high standard. It has a lovely kitchen, which though tiny has been very ingeniously designed and functions very well. Great space out the back. All in all a real pleasure.

    Lee2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our stay! The cottage was perfect, so comfortable and cosy, with numerous really nice touches. The views of the countryside are beautiful, and there was ample space for us. We really enjoyed the fire and the cosy living room. Although the kitchen was small, it has everything you could possibly need. The bed was ridiculously comfortable and the shower was great. I would happily live in this house! There is a cute little garden out the back, with seating and even a bbq. The house was filled with added extras that really added to the trip, from the board games to the extra soft towels. Morever, Anne was an absolute pleasure and couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable. She baked us a delicious cake, left some milk and coffee for us, some fresh fruit, and even offered us a lift! Would highly recommend.

    Katy2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay in Anne's cottage. It's utterly charming and she was extremely helpful, even offering to help with transport. The cake was delicious too! Thank you for a great stay xx

  • Anne's cottage is just perfect for a relaxing trip away. Anne had the fire going in time for me getting there and it was so warm and cosy! There were three of us who stayed and we absolutely loved it and would recommend it. There's a lovely pub practically next door which serves great food, and the steam train is only a 15 minute walk away. Anne had made us a really tasty lemon cake which we loved, and had left fruit and milk in the kitchen for us. There's also a great selection of board games! We had a really chilled out weekend which was perfect!

  • Our first Airbnb experience and it delivered well. Lovely little cottage with great views. My wife already pictured us living there within the first hour of arriving. Plenty of games in the cottage and all the essentials you need and more. Couldn't fault a thing apart from having to leave... excellent all round.

  • We had a truly wonderful holiday in this lovely, spotlessly clean, incredibly cosy house. There were books, toys galore and a huge collection of DVDs to watch so there really was something for everyone.  There was an incredible playroom with lots for the children to do as well as a pretty garden. All the rooms were comfortable and it was a delight to curl up on the huge couch at the end of a long day! Danielle and family kindly and thoughtfully left us a booklet with local activities and facilities which was so helpful. The chocolates and other goodies they left were so much appreciated. The house is located very close to a huge range of activities , walks and trips for the children and we were never short of something to do.  The area is quiet and peaceful with a lovely, scenic view out the back windows. We loved every minute we spent in this well- kept, pretty, clean house and really recharged by switching off from the hustle and bustle of our lives in London.  Thank you for having us!

  • Andra and Dave's place is great value. The bedroom and living area were beautiful, everything was extremely well finished, the bathroom looks like it is out of a magazine! They are lovely hosts and welcomed us with tea and homemade cookies on arrival.

  • Beautiful accommodation in a stunning peaceful location with wonderful hosts that go out of their way to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible. Having a guests only living room space with a woodburner makes the stay extra special. Breakfast with local farm produce was delicious too. We’ll be back!

  • Andra and Dave have created an exceptional B and B. It is clear that much thought and care has gone into making Royd Mill a very special place to stay, from the beautifully appointed bedrooms with crisp white bedlinen and smart ensuite bathrooms with fluffy towels to the hearty breakfasts served in the guests' dining room. The guests' dining/sitting room with its feature fireplace and woodburning stove is a lovely place to spend cosy evenings whilst the outside terrace is an ideal spot for an al fresco drink. Andra and Dave are attentive yet unobtrusive hosts, helpful and informative. We really cannot recommend Royd Mill highly enough to anyone wishing to explore Bronte country and beyond.

    Sally2017-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful house in a lovely setting. Our room was huge, with a bath in the ensuite, and spotlessly clean. We arrived late on a wet Sunday night, were very warmly greeted and provided with a large pot of tea and biscuits. Breakfast was delicious and no request too much trouble. Andra and Dave have been running a B&B for 20 years and it clearly shows.

  • We had a lovely time here in the old school house. Samantha was a very warm and welcoming host and was extremely helpful during our stay. The room is great and the upstairs kitchen is magnificent. We had a lovely bike ride around the surrounding countryside and there was an excellent shower waiting at the end. I would highly recommend this place to any prospective visitors.

On the outskirts of Queensbury and well located for visiting the area such as Bronte country. We would certainly book again if we were in the area. Definitely recommend.

  • Sam was great, she did everything she could, so we could see Belgium play against Sweden. She dropped us off at The Golden Fleece, a great pub where we watched the football and played a quiz afterwards, while eating some complimentary pie. Lovely warm people there, just like Samantha. And oh, almost forgot, the room was perfect. Very tidy, good taste, welcoming bed... definitely a recommender. :)

  • Well located near Howarth and with row of good shops just around the corner. This includes fish and chip shop for late and hungry arrivals and cafe at end of street for breakfast. Accommodation is comfortable and covers basics with no frills such as wifi. We were a family of 4 and main issue was a lack of real dining area for breakfast or dinner. There was no shower curtain which meant baths were the only option but that should be fixed for future arrivals.

    Adrian2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed at Lorrainnes house and she could not be more accommodating. The house was spotless and as for Lorraine you could not meet a nicer person. Thanks very much Lorraine. Jack

The house was clean and it is perfect to spend some days and visit Wuthering Heights. If you like Bronte's book, you'll love this place.

We welcome you to our family home, garden and smallholding on the edge of Thornton village. We are offering a double bedroom (sofa-bed) downstairs with en suite toilet. You can also use the family bathroom and shower upstairs. We also have a single bedroom upstairs available if you need it, for same price as the double bedroom.
We live in an old stone detached house (originally a stonemasons) with a large garden and smallholding – we have chickens, ducks, sheep, a few wildlife ponds, veg garden, some woodland, beautiful views and a lot of overgrown nooks and crannies all of which you can explore. You can also use our small football / badminton / croquet pitch, a quirky sunroom table football and our firepit/BBQ. You can also set off on rambling countryside walks from our place -there is a lot to discover in the area, including the huge old viaduct, a couple of good pubs and occasional encounters with deer, foxes and badgers.
Thornton village is a historic sort of place, a lot of it built in the 1800’s when this area was a wool industry boomtown. There are many quirky parts of the old village to explore, with cobbled tracks and alleyways to get lost in. The Bronte sisters were born in Thornton – you can go and see their house. The village has a Co-op, curry house, a vegetarian café and arts centre, a few pubs and a surprising number of hairdressers. The old railway viaduct has been converted into part of the Great Northern Trail traffic-free cycle/walking route. Bradford centre, Haworth, Keighley and Halifax are all within easy reach, by bus, car or bike.
  • Convenient location in the village of Thornton but with pleasant open views across the smallholding to the fields beyond .

  • A good place to stay if you want to explore Haworth . Good , fully equipt kitchen . Very clean and tidy and well decorated. Quiet apart from Wuthering wind blowing neighbours plastic sheeting about all night! Very helpful host's rep. Had a nice break and visited Saltaire, Hebden Bridge and the Parsonage.

  • This property is ideal for those wishing to enjoy the beautiful countryside. It's warm and clean and the beds are comfortable plus there is always hot water available. Could do with another lamp table and lamp in the lounge. Easy walking distance to the centre of Haworth with its unique shops and restaurants.

  • The cottage is even nicer than shown and communication with the host was really helpful. It was such a relaxing stay. Haworth is gorgeous and the surrounding moors are wonderful, I want to be back there! I highly recommend this cottage.

  • Quaint little house in a very quiet part of Haworth. Would definitely stay again!

    Donal2017-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had the privilege of being the first guests to stay in Hill Cottage and we had a fabulous time. Communication was very good prior to us arriving and Lina met us at the cottage with the keys and a friendly welcome. The house itself was lovely, modern but with nice little touches. The house is more spacious than the pictures suggest and the shower was amazing! There is lots of (free) on street parking nearby, and the Main Street in Haworth is a five minutes walk. The Bronte Parsonage museum and the church are well worth a visit. There are lots of little independent shops to visit and a variety of places to eat and drink. We liked The Fleece Inn and had a couple of very nice meals there. We had a fantastic and very relaxing stay and would highly recommend Hill Cottage for a break.

  • I had a lovely stay here while working at the Brontë Parsonage Museum - Amita was communicative, kind and helpful before my arrival, and the house was clean and well-stocked in terms of basic amenities. It is close to local shops and just a 25 minute walk up to the Parsonage and beautiful views and walks. Definitely recommended! Thank you, Amita!

Our cottage is close to Haworth, home of the famous Bronte sisters, Bronte Moorland, (where Wuthering Heights/Jane Eyre is based), Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, Oxenhope, Hebden Bridge, Leeds, Manchester. Great for couples, business travellers, & especially families. The cottage is well located, great for outdoor pursuits & city activities - all within an hours distance. Lots to see and do on site too including archery, shooting, & some farming activities. See our 5* Trip Advisor reviews.
The cottage is attached to the end of our farm. The farm is on the main road between Keighley and Hebden Bridge and is just on the edge of beautiful moorland. There are panoramic views all round. It's really quiet here so you have perfect chance to relax. It is quite a large cottage for holidaying in so you will find plenty of space. There is lots of facilities and add on packages we can provide to really make your stay special - simply contact us before arrival to arrange. We are quite unique in that we are a carbon neutral site & have not only planted over 1000 trees on our land, but we have also installed an electric car charging point. We run a biomass boiler here so there is unlimited heating / hot water. The commercial part of the farm is The Rainbow Egg Company - we are a truly free range farm and have the worlds smallest chickens right through to our lovely large geese & turkeys. All animals are friendly although it is possible to have absolutely no farm contact during your stay. If you do like the idea however, we offer chicken keeping courses, tractor driving, archery, shooting, bushcraft activities you name it! You even get free eggs whilst you stay.
  • This was our second stay in this well equipped comfortable cottage. It is well located for exploring this scenic part of Yorkshire. A friendly welcome and excellent communication made our stay even more enjoyable. Thanks Emma.

  • Had a lovely stay at Emma's cottage. She is very welcoming and friendly, and the farm is in a beautiful rural area with lovely scenic views, but also handy for local attractions. We were provided with everything we needed for our stay, including lovely soft sheets, fluffy towels and fresh eggs straight of the farm! It was the ideal location for our trips to Haworth to see the Bronte Museum, Malham Cove and the lovely market town of Hebden Bridge. We were also treated to a cloudless night sky, never seen so many stars! Would definitely look to stay here again for future trips to the area.

  • Absolutely LOVED our stay at Stones Cottage. Only disappointment was that we should have stayed longer! Highly recommend ordering the breakfast basket since the location is a bit off the beaten path - having breakfast provisions ready for us that first morning really helped us as we got our bearings to the area! The quail eggs were delicious!

    Patty2017-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet location with lovely views. It was the perfect size for a couple and toddler with assess to a secure garden. Emma was more than helpful and is a great host.

My place is close to Haworth, Yorkshire Dales, Hebden Bridge, Halifax, Harrogate, Bradford and Leeds and keighley and Worth Valley Railway is 5 mins away. You’ll love my place because of the cosiness, the views, the location and attention to detail. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers. Please note pricing for Christmas and New Year is different to base price please contact owner before booking.
  • What a fabulous place to stay! Ronnie has made the cottage an absolute "home from home" with every little detail thought about. I don't think there was anything we could have needed; there are even baking tins if you fancy baking cakes whilst you are there. The cottage is beautifully decorated and makes it feel very homely. In fact we decided within the first couple of hours that we would just stay and not go home! Ronnie is very generous with her welcome, especially the welcome basket. Thank you! The eggs were lovely and it was nice to meet the chucks! The cakes were even nicer! We had a relaxing (lazy) stay but also enjoyed the amazing scenery (and my husband enjoyed the steam train, of course!) A very big thank you!

  • What a lovely space! It was super clean and the bed was so comfortable. I'd have no hesitation staying there again.

  • A lovely cottage, with all the facilities and comfort you require. Village is as you would expect, good walks locally, nice pubs serving good food. Very friendly hosts provided an excellent welcome pack. Don't miss the local historic railway, steam trains travelling to villages like Haworth and on to Keighley, splendid. A really enjoyable break for both of us.

    Sue2017-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is in the most peaceful and beautiful setting with its own garden overlooking rolling pasture - we loved to sit out and have our breakfast and look across to the hills. Location was perfect - we walked the Bronte way to Haworth and some other breathtaking walks up on the moors surrounding Oxenhope itself. We felt wonderfully comfortable and at ease in the cottage, it is very pretty and has everything one could need. We felt very welcomed by Ronnie with a basket of goodies , wine and an amazing homemade cake which we looked forward to after our walks ! We had a great holiday , thankyou Ronnie !

  • Nice clean house, we had the same problem with the parking as others but managed at the end. We are a family with a baby and having a high chair and cot bed was a big help.

  • A gem of a place with a great host, this is a lovely cottage which is larger than it looks in the pictures, is in a secluded little area so it is very peaceful. It is close to Haworth, Keighley and Skipton so it is a great base if you want to visit this area of Yorkshire. Rebecca is a great host who answered several queries we had regarding parking, the washing machine and the WIFI as well as telling us about the local area, she never made us feel as if we were bothering her. I would definitely recommend a stay in this property, as you get the entire house to yourself, it gives you the freedom to come and go as you like, eat what you want, when you want. The house is fully equipped and it is decorated in a charming manner, I particularly liked the flowers and wine which greeted us on arrival. We stayed for a month so made full use of the house, felt like a home away from home.

  • We stayed three nights and found the property to be very clean and very homely, it is an old property which maybe could do with a few upgrades but all in all for the day rate its well worth it. The parking is on road which is quite busy and a little walk away from the property so unloading the car did take time, but we found it generally good for a few days away and had no real problems Thanks Rebecca

Spacious double room in the centre of Haworth, land of the Brontë sisters!
Welcome to our home in the middle of Haworth. Our house is minutes away from the bottom of Main Street (you can see it from the living room!). <br> We have a large, double bedroom with access to a shared bathroom, living room and kitchen. You are more than welcome to help yourself to cereal and tea and coffee for breakfast but we will most likely be recommending our favourite local cafes to you! Towels and a hairdryer are provided in the room but please ask for any other requirements, we may well be able to sort you out! We have a private drive way which can be used if you let us know when you are arriving. Parking is a luxury in some areas of Haworth so that is one less thing to worry about. We are located near The Old Hall pub but never hear any noise. Perfect for one last drink before calling it a night! We like to let the room out on Friday and Saturday nights so that it doesn't interfere with our work and also these are the most popular times to visit Haworth. However, don't hesitate to message to enquire about other dates. We will try and be flexible and can increase availability in the school holidays. Friday check in is after 4.30pm, but the parking space can be made available before then so you can go get exploring! Saturday check in from 10am. Check out is flexible - just have a chat with us!
  • A really good location close to all of the hotspots of Haworth.

They were a lovely, friendly couple who were always willing to chat and offer advice about how to get around town, recommendations on where to eat, etc. They made me feel right at home and very welcome. Their place is spotlessly clean and comfortable and located just minutes from all the sites in Haworth. This is a perfect accommodation for anyone looking to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Bronte country. Everything is literally on your doorstep! I enthusiastically recommend Laura's and Chris's place to other Airbnb travelers!

Set amidst the stunning Yorkshire Moors and in the heart of Bronte Country, Brook House Cottage offers tranquility, culture and stunning scenery. The property boasts three large bedrooms each with an allocated shower and toilet room. Within the grounds of the house is a private fishing and boating lake, tennis court and woodland for guests to enjoy. Halifax Golf Club is a two minute walk from the cottage. A perfect location for families, walkers, fishermen, cyclists and golfers.
Surrounded by some of the country's most spectacular scenery in one of the most relaxing settings, Brook House Cottage is a rural retreat waiting to be discovered. Standing in 6 acres of stunning, secluded grounds, it is just three miles north of Halifax in the heart of West Yorkshire’s dramatic landscape and is within easy access of some of the most popular tourist destinations. The property is at the foot of the Yorkshire Moors and is within walking distance of good pubs and restaurants. Guests can enjoy fishing in our fully stocked 3/4 acre pond. The last 12 months have been spent emptying, cleaning and refilling our pond which is set within the grounds, just 50m from Brook House Cottage. We have restocked the pond and introduced Carp- both Mirror and Common (up to 10lb), Roach, Chubb and Tench (all the stock is from Carp Vale Fisheries, York). From the pond area you have great views over the Yorkshire Moors. An idyllic location to relax and fish. Please note: fishing lessons for novices can be arranged at an extra cost of £25 per session with a local expert fisherman. If you enjoy a round of golf, The Halifax Golf Club is literally just around the corner from the cottage. It is a demanding 18 hole course set in the stunning Ogden Moors with breath-taking views. You can enjoy a drink and a great meal in the club house after a round and even a game of snooker! Heron and Geese reside within the grounds (depending upon the time of year), and can be studied from the vantage point of our bird-watching hut located next to the lake. Remember to bring your binoculars, or ask to borrow ours! We also have wild deer that regularly roam the grounds. Guests can enjoy freshly laid eggs daily from our family of hens!
We are located in the heart of the Yorkshire Moors and the Pennines and within short driving distance of Haworth, the birthplace of the Brontë’s. 2016 marks the bicentenary of Charlotte Brontë’s birth, making this year the perfect time to visit the stunning landscape of Brontë Country. Ogden Water, situated in the Yorkshire Moors (a short walk from the cottage) is a Local Nature Reserve. The estate comprises a 34 acre reservoir enclosed by woodland with open moor beyond. The heather uplands and peat moors form part of a Special Protection Area that is of international importance for breeding birds such as curlew, snipe, grouse and various birds of prey. There are numerous woodland trails and waterside paths to explore, including 1 ¼ miles of wheelchair accessible pathway around the reservoir and through sections of the woodlands. If you get up high to the edge of the woodlands you will be rewarded with stunning views extending across Calderdale, Bradford and as far as Selby and the Peak District. On 1st August 2017, The Piece Hall in Halifax, one of the most extraordinary buildings in Britain, reopened after a multi million pound restoration. It is a unique Grade I listed building dating back to 1779, originally built to support the trading of ‘pieces’ of cloth. Now transformed into a 21st Century town square, The Piece Hall is a place for everyone to enjoy. The immense, open air square is enclosed by a mix of independent bars, restaurants, shops and cafes. The stories of Georgian Halifax are told in specially created exhibition spaces and there is an art gallery hosting visual art exhibitions. There is nowhere like it in the world. The monumental Grade I listed structure is the only surviving intact cloth hall in the UK and an iconic symbol of the important role played by Georgian Halifax at the booming centre of the world’s woollen trade. Well worth a visit! Entrance is free and The Piece Hall is open every day except Christmas Day. In Halifax, Eureka! Museum for Children is the first and foremost hands-on children’s museum in the UK and a little further afield is the National Media Museum and the Hockney Gallery. Beautiful Pennine towns and villages are just a short drive away including Hebden Bridge, Heptonstall, Holmfirth (Last of the Summer wine country), Saltaire and the famous Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. The area offers something for everyone with no shortage of attractions for visitors. We are just seven miles from the M62, almost equidistant from Leeds and Manchester and ideally located as a base from which to explore the historic city of York, only an hour away while Ilkley, Harrogate and Skipton are closer still.

  • Thank you so much Graham and Rebecca for a great stay! The place itself is perfect, really spacious bedrooms, living areas and dining room, equipped with everything you need for a weekend away. The grounds are also beautiful, you have a garden, Lake and woods right on your doorstep. Graham and Rebecca were lovely hosts and had even left us some fresh eggs from their chickens, milk, butter, bread etc which was really nice to wake up to after arriving late the night before, and they were really proactive and at hand to help us in any way they could. Highly recommended.

  • This is a great house in a lovely secluded area. Rebecca and Graham are fabulous hosts and we wanted for nothing while we stayed with them. The house is a really good size and I thought it was even better than it looked on the photos - it's really cosy and there is everything there that you would need. It is child friendly and very spacious. Everything was very clean and in good working order. There was also some really helpful touches like having basic needs in the house already (soap, washing up liquid, salt and pepper, etc - this is not the case with a lot of rented properties and it is often those things that are forgotten in the shop!). The house is a good location as it is in a secluded area but only a short drive to the closest supermarket and about a 15min walk to a local pub. It's very quiet and the area surrounding is very scenic. There is a tennis court and lake to use but we didn't due to the colder weather (it was New Year). We had a wonderful time and would definitely visit again.

    Hannah2017-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is absolutely fantastic. It's located in a peaceful spot - you feel like you are right in the heart of the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. Graham and Rebecca were very helpful and responded to our messages quickly even though it was Christmas. The cottage itself is very spacious, well equipped and extremely comfortable. It was filled with lovely touches - like fresh bread and a Christmas tree. We really enjoyed our stay and we hope to come back over the summer to make the most of the tennis court and beautiful surroundings.

  • We had the most amazing weekend at Brook House Grange cottage - it is such a beautiful oasis of calm and enabled us to really unwind and relax. The cottage is just gorgeous, with lots of space, so the five of us didn't feel as if we were on top of each other. We felt so comfortable and at home there, we didn't want to leave! We were greeted by Rebecca who is the most charming and helpful host - nothing before, during or after our stay was too much trouble and responses to messages were instant. Very thoughtful touches like fresh eggs from their own chickens, yummy jam, marmalade, lemon curd and bread as well as butter, coffee, tea, milk, sugar and shortbread biscuits were such a lovely welcoming surprise on our arrival. Toiletries were plentiful and of excellent quality. We had great fun on the tennis court, although I don't think Andy Murray needs to worry! A walk down to the lake was lovely - would be great to sit there with a book and a drink, it's so peaceful. I can't recommend this place enough and we will certainly be back - hopefully for longer next time! Thank you Graham and Rebecca - keep up the good work.

  • This country home is wonderful. My husband and I found it relaxing and peaceful. Our two teenage children were thrilled to each have their own very nice rooms with their own tv's. The family room is huge and perfect for watching a movie from their collection. The kitchen is beautiful and has everything you need! Outside is a charming courtyard and tennis court. My 16 year old wanted to play tennis with his parents every day, amazing!! The welcome you gave us, the fresh eggs, bread, jam, butter and tea were a wonderful way to start our stay. I would highly recommend Graham and Rebecca's home to anyone!

Detached property with substantial gardens and wrap around balcony. Surrounded by open fields. 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen/dining room.
Close to Haworth, Yorkshire Dales, and just 25 minutes by train direct to Leeds.
  • The house was ideal for our family get-together. We used our phone mapping to find a lovely 8km off road circular walk from the front door. Beds comfy - nice warm house - great views - traditional pub nearby - can't fault it!

The holiday apartment is located at the top of Haworth Main Street in a prime location very close to all the shops, pubs and coffee shops. The Bronte Parsonage is less than 2 minutes stroll away and the moors are very close. Dogs welcome too.
  • Overall, too many niggles to be a decent place to stay. The location is good, for a brief visit to Howarth, parking is just over the road at the pub (I found the passage to the rear parking too tricky to tackle). Easy enough to pick up the key, but the listing should note that to get to the flat you have to climb 2 flights up an external fire escape – so people with young kids/mobility issues will struggle. Downsides are that the pub (opposite) is really noisy – 2 evenings in (I have a young son so couldn’t go out) both marred by constant loud music and drunken noise until very late. If you plan on being in the flat in the evening – be aware. I was brushed off with the ‘it’s a Bank Holiday’ excuse – but that’s irrelevant – it’s a noisy pub! The photos for the flat do not represent what it’s really like. I was very disappointed by the standard of the flat and furnishings/equipment. The outside patio is non-existent; the flat has the pervasive smell from the café below (a very old greasy smell, which made me feel physically sick). The sofa/chair are filthy, covered in throws and my back is still aching from sitting on them. The windows need sorting out – many are misted/have condensation on the inside, the bathroom window kept blowing open and was very difficult to close. The window in the back bedroom had a strong wind blowing through it (around the edge) and it was closed! The bathroom shelf is wobbly, light cords are tatty bits of rope. The shower in the back study room is just weird. The equipment in the kitchen is all old/cheap and didn’t inspire any desire to cook a meal. Generally a flat with ancient décor and signs of neglect in every room. This was not a cheap place to stay for me – £190 for 2 nights and I genuinely cannot recall staying somewhere quite as unpleasant, for so much money. So if you just want a central location and plan not to spend any time in the flat (apart from to sleep), this would suit you. But I would recommend finding a better place for your money.

    Liz2017-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • The flat was lovely with lots of space and very, very clean, it matched pictures perfectly. The beds were really comfy too. The location is excellent near local pubs, resturants, cafes and walks. There was everything you needed in the flat and Jason was a very friendly host and happy to help with anything we needed. A lovely weekend away.

    Nathalie2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Jason was incredibly welcoming, and the apartment was exactly what we needed and more. In an ideal location for exploring Haworth, this warm and homely apartment served our long weekend perfectly and I would thoroughly recommend it. Thanks again.

    Christopher2016-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • The address of the appartment is awesome, the view is great. I visit Haworth with my parents, both of the rooms are great. The decoration is nicely done, and parking is surprisingly easy and straight forward. We didn't really met the owner of the house, but the people in the cafe who gave us the key are very friendly, love them. 5++ would recommend to my friends

  • Good location, nice stay

  • Ideal location for Bronte pilgrims directly opposite the lane up to the parsonage. Great view out the back too. Nearest grocer is down by the railway station.

    Richard2016-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Jason's flat is absolutely amazing! It's located just above the lovely Emma's cafe, right in the centre of Haworth (literally opposite the Church where the Bronte sisters' father was a pastor), which also means you get very good internet. The flat itself is a lot bigger than I imagined! It's on two levels, the living room and main bedroom are really large. It's overall super comfortable and well heated. Haworth is a lovely town, with a lot of shops, cafes, and really excellent restaurants. Jason is an absolutely fantastic host, accommodating, easy to contact, always helpful. I couldn't recommend this place more!

A peaceful and beautiful place overlooking stunning Bronte countryside views. Open plan with original beams and stonework, with a very cosy wood-burning stove. 2 double bedrooms and a roll-top bath with separate shower. There’s loads of fabulous walks right from your front door, and the famous village of Haworth is just a short walk away. This is perfect for a quiet break in the countryside, no noisy partying please!

  • I would strongly recommend this place to anyone. The location is brilliant, situated right in the middle of the countryside. The barn was very warm and clean and well styled with everything you could need available inside. Huge decking area and hot tube looking out over amazing views. Our hosts were very kind and welcoming and allowed us our privacy but also let us know they were available should we need anything. It has good access to plenty of local walks, bars, restaurants and attractions in the local towns. 5 stars!

  • Me and my boyfriend stayed at far stone's cottage for 3 nights, the hosts provided instructions for location etc prior to the trip which was very useful and on arrival they introduced themselves, gave us some tips and were always available incase we needed further advice during our stay which we didn't however if we did both were very approachable and friendly! The cottage itself was beautiful and the amenities fantastic as we visited during winter we made good use of the hot tub and the wood burning fire. The location of the cottage was perfect if you love walking there is some great walks through the countryside which we did on our first day. If walking isn't for you there is a bus stop very close which takes you to nearby towns and the cottage itself has everything you need if you just want to stay in and relax, the views from the cottage are also beautiful! We would both definitly recommend this place, great for couples, friends, families.

    Susan2017-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage itself is absolutely lovely. It has been beautifully done up and had everything we needed. The stove is great after a cold day and an added bonus is jumping into the hot tub over looking a stunning valley after a days walking. We would definitely recommend.

A delightful stone-built self-catering cottage in a wonderful location in the centre of historic village of Haworth, Bronte County. Three bedrooms – sleeps 5, a well-equipped dinning kitchen, original flagged stoned living room, WiFi and parking permit for one car. Close to heritage steam train station. Plenty to see and do such as The Bronte Parsonage, great pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Moorland walks. Skipton and Hebden Bridge both 10 miles.
Eves Cottage is set is a very enviable position at the top of Haworth Main Street, close to quaint shops, restaurants and pubs. For those who are familiar with The Brontes, The Bronte Parsonage is only 200 meters away. Bronte waterfalls and Top Withens are also within walking distance. Ideally located for Haworth events such as the 1940s and 60s weekends, Steam Punk Festival and Ghost Walks for the brave within the Christmas period.
  • This lovely cottage was in a fantastic location, right near the Bronte parsonage, and has a really cosy and characterful atmosphere. Esivi was a fantastic host and very accommodating. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks!!

  • We had a wonderful stay at Eves Cottage. As well as being a lovely property, it's great in terms of its location, near to all the shops and attractions in Haworth. Would definitely stay here again.

  • Our time at Esivis was great. We were welcomed by Esivi and her daughter, who had prepared her home for us. We were left to explore the house ourselves and look around. The house has a beautiful stone floor in the living room and the kitchen is downstairs, we wish we'd brought some slippers as the floor can get cold, but it didn't affect our stay in any negative way. There are 3 bedrooms to choose from and 2 bathrooms. The house was clean and well maintained. Haworth is close to Main street where there is a mix of local stores, pubs, restaurants and some great stores where everything was cheap for us! The house is close to all the touristy spots in Haworth like the Moors, the Bronte Parsonage, Bronte Waterfalls and the old steam railway. There is lots to do in the area and we survived without a car. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back and spend some more time here in this beautiful, peaceful setting.

  • Great location and a lovely characterful cottage. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds.

    Vanessa2017-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • The most amazing location at the top of Haworth High Street, just metres from the Bronte parsonage, we loved the spectacular views of the moorland out of the upstairs windows. Great value for money and Esivi was most welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend.

    Dawn2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Esivi's cottage was quaint. Flagstone floor in the lounge, soft cushy carpets upstairs and in the bedrooms. Esivi accepted our request to stay at very short notice for which we were grateful. The cottage is ideally located for Hawarth for you Bronte fans; a lovely location. Esivi welcomed us, but she disappeared.....seems a very welcoming host.

My place is great for walking and exploring the glorious country side. Easy access to the home of the Brontes in Haworth and to the Dales. 30 mins walk to Keighley town centre and train station; Bus stop 10 mins walk away. You’ll love my place because of the views and the comfortable rooms. We have a small enclosed field which is great for letting your dog have a run around without fear of escape. My place is good for couples, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets).
Weasel Wood House Farm is a very well appointed house of Yorkshire stone built approximately 200 years ago. It has a large well functioning kitchen and a downstairs toilet. A large dining room with open fireplace and a good sized living room with a huge window that gives amazing views all across the valley. One bedroom and en suite bathroom is located at the top of the first staircase and is separate from the rest of the bedrooms. Up the main staircase there are 2 bedrooms and a large bathroom with walk in shower, jacuzzi bath toilet and basin. Downstairs in the cellar there is another double bedroom recently renovated and again separate from the rest of the house, this layout allows a little privacy from each other if / when needed.
Keighley lies in a fold between the countryside of Airedale and Keighley Moors. The town is the terminus of the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, a heritage steam branch line which has been restored and runs through the Worth Valley to Oxenhope via Oakworth and Haworth. The name Keighley, which has gone through many changes of spelling throughout its history, is accepted to mean "Cyhha's farm or clearing"[4] and was mentioned in the Domesday Book. Other outlying villages around the town are Oakworth, Cross Roads, Haworth, Stanbury and Oxenhope. The two main settlements to the north are Silsden and Steeton. To the north east is Rombald's Moor which contains many signs of stone age and bronze age occupation including cup and ring marks,[14] and as it drops back down into Wharfedale and the town of Ilkley, approximately five miles away, becomes the more famous Ilkley Moor.

This lovely cottage is set over two floors and full of character and charm throughout, featuring a spacious lounge and well-equipped kitchen diner on the ground floor. Upstairs you will find two light and airy bedrooms, one providing a luxurious king-size bed (with pullout bed) and a single room. The accommodation is complete with a family bathroom. Outside there is a lovely garden perfect for alfresco dining or for relaxing with a coffee and a good book.
  • Perfect cottage, perfect location! Clean and well equipped with everything you'd need for a local stay.

  • Wonderful spotlessly clean spacious cottage - short walk to Oakworth station where you can catch a steam train to the next station, Haworth, where you can visit the Bronte parsonage museum and enjoy the picturesque village. Little convenience store around the corner for everything you wll need. Everything you need in a comfortable well equipped home away from home. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

  • We enjoyed our stay - a good-sized cottage with plenty of room for our young son to explore and enjoy. We liked the range cooker for country kicks, and the bedrooms are much larger than the photos care to depict. Would recommend the property to anyone looking for a Yorkshire base for an escape from the norm.

    Adam2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • A well furnished and spacious accommodation, ideal for a weekend break. Just a 10 minute walk to the station where you can catch the brilliant Worth Valley steam train. It’s only a 10 minute train ride to Howarth, the home of the Brontë sisters, so an excellent location all round. The accommodation had everything you’ll need for your stay, and is facing a main road, but it wasn’t too busy. A parking space round the back is great to have. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

    David2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay in Anne's cottage was great. Perfect location to explore Brontë country. Parking spot was very handy. Unfortunately we were not able to use the fireplace as a bird had nested in the chimney. Clean and comfortable place to stay, we all slept very well! We really appreciated the milk and snacks, perhaps some salt would be useful in the kitchen for morning eggs! Anne was very helpful, friendly, and communicative.

    Sofia2017-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Extremely clean and comfortable with everything we needed. In a great location to visit 'The Railway Children' filming location and the dales for walking.

  • This cottage was amazing! Quaint and spacious with beautiful views, it was cozy and homey. We came to visit the Brontë Parsonage Museum, which is just a six-minute drive from the cottage—if you can, rent a small car. We had a Volkswagen van, which was a little difficult to maneuver on the small roads. The supermarket/post office was just a few minutes walk down the street. We highly recommend The Grouse Inn. The food, service, and views were fantastic.

Lyndene House was built in 1906 for, I have been told, officers of the local regiment, the Duke of Wellington's. Additions to the original property being the conservatory & second floor shower room. All services have been upgraded to current standards, including WiFi and hopefully you will like the mix of sympathetic & modern decorations. Please also note that I have a listing for a first floor bedroom which has a double bed and sofabed, should you wish to book for a larger group.
You will have access to all of the public rooms shown and use of the kitchen morning and evening, please feel free to help yourself to drinks. I provide a continental breakfast. During the week I would normally expect you to vacate approximately 8-6, on weekends 9-5. There are wide stairs to the first floor. A further flight of stairs take you to the second floor bedroom with a 3/4 bed, arm chair and desk, with a private shower room on the second floor. On the first floor is a further bedroom and the house bathroom, should your party require a second bedroom this is listed on Airbnb separately.
