“If you like hot dogs and tater tots with a side a great live music the happy dog is the spot for you! A local favorite you can choose between fruit loops and/or a fried egg on your hot dog or more traditional options if you aren't up for all that! They have a vegetarian option too.”

“Luxe is another Detroit Shoreway staple. It's a trendy and hip Mediterranean-Italian bistro with a beautiful patio and excellent menu and cocktail selections. Great for a date night dinner- you may need a reservation on Friday and Saturday nights to be safe. ”

“This is pretty much the neighborhood staple. Grab a coffee, latte, tea etc. and meet the locals has they grab their homemade pastries and coffee. It's just a down to earth kind of place where everything is made from scratch! ”

“You'll be blown away with the stone patio and the attention to wood details that was put into this awesome Irish pub. Not to mention the bocce ball court in the very back...just an idea for a cold day! ”

“Ice cream served in a traditional soda fountain atmosphere. Another super fun stop for anyone/everyone visiting! If you have a large group you can order the Terminal Tower - TEN scoops of ice cream. I suggest the Gordon Square which rests upon a warm brownie.”

“Beer and donuts - something for everyone! One of our favorite things to do is take the close by Lakeshore Bikepath to Edgewater and on our walk back up hit Brewnuts and get a treat for everyone. It's a hike, so wear your walking shoes, but super fun and worth it!”

Bakery
“A short walk away! They are open everyday 6:30am-1pm and have lots of options to make an amazing bagel sandwich or some great house made 'smear' options. Saturdays can get super busy so I would suggest going early if possible! Even if you have to wait though - it's worth it!”
