“Our choice for a delish coffee and baked treat. They make amazing sausage rolls in house amongst other things. My go to is the bacon n' egger with an Africano (Americano misto). These guys also own the new-ish breakfast spot, Jam across the street.”

“Tea at the Empress for "one-million dollars" OR why not try the spot that makes and sells the "Empress blend" tea. Seriously, there is a whole amazing history about John Murchie who was the first purveyor of tea in BC in 1894....this is the real deal. And its such a neat spot right downtown, with a quaint tea room out back and all the teas in the shop right next door. Highly recommend.”

Coffee Shop

“Both this one and the Discovery Coffee on Discovery St (the original) are both bright, boppin, spacious cafés with excellent coffee and treats (my fave is the fruit chew - I don't go in for the super sugary sweets. The fruit chew is sweet by its own dried fruit merits and it has stolen my heart).”

“If your'e a vegetarian (even if you're not) you have to try the vegan panini with figs and cashew butter. It's honestly one of the best paninis I've ever had. Other than that they have an awesome range of fresh salads, wraps, cold pressed juices and desserts. If you are in downtown Victoria you've gotta hit up Jusu.”
