  • If you're looking for somewhere that's comfy and home away from home this is the place to stay. The cottage has a lovely welcoming feel to it that helped us relax immediately and we left the rat race of the city behind us for a few days. Thoughtful welcoming touches of fresh milk and decadent home made brownies added to the country hospitality. Thank you so much. We'll be back.

The school house is a perfect escape ,it’s clean, private and unless required totally isolated. It is embedded in our back yard built to be an art studio /gallery, then music bedroom studio, for musical children. Now a much loved historic Narrogin school house, to share and enjoy by others. It has a comfortable antique queen iron bed ,(with single trundle bed) gorgeous old world decor/art and a mini Kitchenett for basic cooking needs.(see photo descriptions) The private shower, toilet and laundry facilities are a short walk to the back of our home. With use of a large back patio. We are only a text or knock on the door if you were to need us.
The old school house is in our backyard next to a wonderful pool.(fully fenced) we are one of the closest houses to the main town centre. (Yet private and quiet)Walking distance to pubs( awesome meals) 2 excellent backeries across the road from a park with picnic and toilet facilities. Our home is an easy walk down town or drive your car with plenty of parking. Coles also over the park. Museum ,target ,cafes and shops and our well equipped recreational centre with pool and gym are only 2 blocks away. Also within walking distance of our local horse racing trotting track. Also up the hill is our wonderful “fox’s lair “ walking nature trail and bush land. Passing 2 motels providing economic and delicious meals. You have access to our “extra” toilet shower and laundry. Once in the back gate ,a beautiful lead light entry patio area of our 110 year old recently heritage listed home. You are also welcome to use the outdoor table setting under the patio surrounded by greenery.
  • I just love Christine's gorgeous school house. She's such lovely host and her property is a historic gem. I slept so soundly in the comfy bed with beautiful linen. Christine is so friendly, welcoming and respects privacy. Her stylish old world furnishing is special and the heating and cooling is excellent. I used this property when away for work and it was perfect. Thanks Christine!

This historic hotel has been serving the Wheat belt for 112 years. Once the entertainment space of Lord and Lady Forrest. The upstairs is fully contained with a kitchen, fridge, small appliances where a continental breakfast is supplied. A large lounging area with seating for 12 leads onto the wrap around balcony. The hotel is excellent for conferencing, family reunions, short and long term accommodation. Downstairs there are more areas with a pool table and juke box for entertainment.
Downstairs there is a commercial kitchen and heritage dining room available as a self catering option or we can provide the catering, hot breakfast, evening meal, crib lunches.
Pingelly 160kms southeast of Perth has one of the finest wildflower reserve lands "Tuttanning" in the world. Boyagin Rock is another interesting tourist destination.
  • Classic country pub with loads of character, took me back to a by gone era , I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and the non stop stories from Ian in the public bar 😁😁

    Grant2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice old historic house, very kind and humorous landlord, very beautiful and quiet town, very good place to stay again!

    ynkm2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Classic Western Australian pub, just 160 kilometres from Perth through picturesque sheep and crop country to get here. A warm greeting from Jeanette and Ian await you, and then you get the chance to soak up the atmosphere of this grand old hotel that was built in 1906. All the accommodation rooms are upstairs, some with a view out over the big veranda, and the others with a view out over the historic Pingelly rooftops. The veranda is a great spot to watch the sunrise, and amazing to see the full moon rise as well if you time your visit right. Theres a fully equiped kitchen upstairs as well, with fridge, microwave and tea and coffee making facilities to accompany the self serve continental breakfast. Home cooked meals here are pretty special too, thanks to Jeanette's kitchen skills, she's a great cook, then afterwards, the bar area is a pretty good place to plant yourself for a few hours and admire the historic surroundings and have a chat with Jeanette's husband Ian, who can point you in the right direction of all things Pingelly and surrounds. The Exchange Hotel is also close to Tutanning Nature Reserve, Dryandra Woodland and Boyagin Rock, all within easy reach of Pingelly, so spend the day looking at Western Australian native flora and fauna and spend the afternoon and evening in a grand old classic heritage hotel, and then do some star gazing from the veranda to end the night, it's a pretty amazing sky here, with no light pollution to spoil the view.

    Neil2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Pingelly is on route 120 which you can take as a longer alternative from Perth to Albany. I was birdwatching in Dryandra woodland and wanted to stay somewhere that felt like Australia of old. The tavern is an amazing building which made me hear the noises and hubbub which must have filled its rooms when first built in 1907. Perth didn't feel like Australia, but Pingelly certainly did. Jeanette's meals were enormous and friendly Ian on the bar looked straight out of the outback and is full of enough stories to fill an evening. This is not glamorous glitzy accommodation and has one shower and toilet for a lot of rooms. But it really is worth dropping in if you're in the area.

    Neil2019-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • I had booked Jeanette's place last minute to accommodate my team. The host was very hospitable with my request even though I wasn't staying at the property myself. My colleagues enjoyed their stay here, everything was above satisfaction! I've received a lot of pleasant comments from my guys in regards to her property.

    Mario2019-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful historical pub with amazing character. The welcome by Jeanette and Ian is very friendly and there are lots of stories to share if you want to sit at the bar when you arrive. The food was wonderful and even though I arrived late, Jeanette was still willing to cook me something. If you want something with character you can't beat this place. I was able to help myself to breakfast in the morning with a variety of cereals, jams, honeys, bread, tea and coffee, etc. which was always available. I would stay at this place again.

I didn't have any issue with the shared bathroom situation and it was pretty quiet so I pretty much had it to myself. The breakfast in the morning was good and the 11 o'clock check out was really convenient. Excellent hospitality.

Easy distance to Dryandra Forest, Cuballing and Narrogin and a good base for exploring further afield. Elmarie is a beautiful host who provides so many thoughtful and personal touches. An unexpected gem.

    Naomi2019-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • Elmarie's farm house was beautiful and very relaxing. Waking up to delicious fig jam and fresh coffee and sitting on the balcony was the dream. Elmarie is a lovely host and a fast communicator. Thank you for allowing me and my family to stay at your farm house.

    Cora-Jane2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • As a family of seven with three generations the farmhouse provided a very comfortable stay for the week. Particularly appreciated were the wood fires and electric blankets. The lambing paddock over the fence was a highlight as we counted more and more each day. We all competed in five orienteering competitions while at the farm. Hot water that didn't run out and an efficient washing machine was appreciated.

Sage House is a great house in the country town of Narrogin. It's a three bedroomed timber house with bathroom and kitchen newly renovated, simple , natural and comfortably practical. A queen , king single and more singles. Gas heating and air conditioning, is completely self contained with all you need for a break away. Plenty of parking, 10 min walk into town.
Sage House has a huge garden and the patio sits under massive trees, it is well set up for a holiday but works well as a functional house for workers...the kitchen is well set up for cooking.
Quiet and safe country town. Stunning places like Dryandra and Yillaminning Rock are close to visit. A few cafes and galleries make it worth a visit too.

    Natalie2019-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • The guesthouse in Narrogin exceeded our needs and was a great place to spend the week. There were three heaters that kept us toasty and warm and lots of bedding on those extra chilly nights. The finishing decorative touches made it feel very homey and cosy. Thanks Janey for a great stay!

  • A great place to stay in Narrogin for work related study. We stayed for 21 days. Close to town and all other services. A few minor maintenance issues during our stay, but Janey was easy to contact and rectified issues promptly without hesitation. All maintenance issued were fixed without interrupting our stay and they were kind enough to leave beer in the fridge for letting them know. If needed we will definitely use this accommodation in Narrogin again. We will also look into the other accommodation offered by this host as we are more than pleased with every aspect of our stay at Narrogin Sage Guest House. Thanks again!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely B&B. We ate our breakfast on the verandah (it was delicious) and all the amenities were clean and tidy. We highly recommend this place.

  • We had a lovely one night stay at Bellas. It was great to arrive on a cold afternoon to a warm inviting fire in the lounge. Our room was beautifully made up with efficient heating and plenty of extra bedding if needed. Breakfast was plentiful with lots to chose from. Thanks Lizette - we'll be back.

  • Lizette's s place is truly lovely. A guest house with private rooms, communal areas, and surrounded by a beautiful garden. We were warmly welcomed and had a wonderful stay - one night was not nearly enough! Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, fruit salads, breads and spreads, tea, coffee and juice. Would definitely come back if travelling through Narrogin! Thank you for having us.

  • Very nice place to stay. Not in the town centre but if you have a car it's less than a minute away. Nice and comfy, beautifully restored and decorated and perfectly clean, and very importantly in Narrogin in winter - very warm. They had a log fire going in the lounge room, reverse-cycle airconditioner pumping out warm air in the bedroom, electric blanket and thick bedding, and a hot and powerful shower. Couldn't fault this place

  • Beautiful room and very friendly host

  • Don't hesitate to chose this wonderful place to stay. I wish we'd had more time to savour the comfort of Lizettes place.

  • Great alternative to staying in the motels. Quick drive to town, clean rooms, nicely appointed. Room four has a lovely ensuit. Breakfast was very nice with fresh fruit salad, yoghurt and the normal continental breakfast foods. I'll stay here again.

  • Lizette was extremely helpful, directing us to nearby places where the flowers were blooming. We were able to find orchids and other amazing plants in areas we would otherwise have missed. The extra time and effort was an unexpected bonus to staying in this roomy, comfortable establishment.

  • I arrived at this place thinking I had booked a cottage and was a bit confused when I found it to be a guesthouse. As it turned out, the room and bed was very comfortable and all needs were met. Stefan and Lizette were very kind and helpful an I loved their “ protect our planet “ approach, evident in their choices of toiletries. The guest shared areas are spacious and filled with warm homely furniture and items. Hope to get to stay again. Thank you Leonie Allison

Fairway lane is located in a quiet street and laneway. Yet close to centre of town. The $100 is for 1 bedroom for all 3 bedrooms(the entire house to your self for a group is $200) It’s a brick and iron 100 year old house. All furnishings are suited to the historic cottage style. With clean mattresses and quality sheets and bedding. The house is all yours unless other guests are there in one of the other rooms.
Set up as a historic , character filled 100 year old house, constant art exhibition curios all around.
Nice park and covered BBQ area with toilets. Covered Children’s play ground near by. Yillaming rock to climb and picnic only 15 km down the road. Popular Fox’s Lair walk and nature trail 2Km away.
  • A delightful house with interesting things wherever you look. Very comfortable and clean, and a very responsive host who let us know we could stay later on the last day when we were delayed by a car malfunction.
