“Charming island with several unique towns, such as Aquinah, formerly Gayhead, at one tip of the island, with its colorful clay cliffs from which the Native Americans still make pottery. At the other end is Edgartown, with its antique Captains' houses and upscale shops.”

American Restaurant
“This is the restaurant the birthed the Black Dog t-shirt. Large portions, great view of the harbor, feels like your in an old wooden boat. Food is better quality in some other places but this place has a long history, a great setting and a spectacular view. You won't go away hungry.”

“Bike the Shining Sea Bike Path four miles to Woods Hole. Largely original fishing village with marine scientific institutions, such as: Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Marine Biological Laboratory, and National Oceanic and Atmospheric lab. Waterfront restaurants galore! Great seafood, excellent biking and walking neighborhood, free small authentic aquarium, and an exhibit center on School Street about the work of the institutions. Great coffee at Coffee Obsession. Ferry to Martha's Vineyard at the least expensive fare from here versus other ports.”

Fish Market
“Fresh seafood cooked to order. This place is owned and run by the two sisters of The owner of The Net Result in Vineyard Haven. Equally as full of quality. Take out only but sit on the wharf at makeshift tables and watch the fishing boats and fancy yachts come and go. Economical and delicious. ”
