  • Our stay at the Potters Yard was really lovely and exactly what we were looking for. Patricia was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We were pointed in the direction of a few restaurants close by which was very helpful. The home was warm and cosy and we had everything we needed. The home surroundings were lovely and was situated on the loveliest quaint country road. Overall it was a very pleasant stay and will definitely be back if in the area again. And will also be recommending to any friends and family! Thanks Patricia and Ultan!

  • The stay at Sarah's house was wonderful even just one night. Since the check in time, Sarah was very flexible and accommodated to my itinerary. I didn't have any problem finding the house which (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) map is extremely accurate. The house is big and new, room is spotless, spacious and bright with soft comfortable bed. I had the best slumber since I was on the road over last two weeks. In the following morning, Sarah offered me coffee and bagels and we had a pleasant chat. Highly recommend staying here while you are touring southeast part of Ireland and meeting Sarah and Gary this lovely couple.

    Adele2017-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah's place was my first stay in both AirBnB and Ireland and easily met expectations. Following good advise from Sarah and her partner I spent a couple of days exploring the local area including walks, pubs, Kilmore Quay, the Hook head lighthouse and Tramore.

  • Mary went above and beyond to make us welcome. She is a hostess in a million. Her home is extremely comfortable and in a very pleasant area. We only had one there but wish we had been able to stay for a lot longer. It is an immaculately kept home. Mary left us enough food to keep us going for several days. Hoping to go back and stay for longer

  • This is such a lovely house with lots of room. It is located to make many areas accessible easily. The owner is a great help and her communication was outstanding. We used the kitchen quite a lot and found it to be great. Lots of tools an equipment to make meals easy. There are no spices or other cooking supplies but there are local places to get those. There were 8 of us and we had plenty of room. This is a great find and a great value.

    William2017-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • We were not provided with toilet paper, which we would have liked . No other problems

    Carol2016-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Aras Muillinn is excellent place to stay in Wexford and house is perfect weekend gateway. I would for sure come back again.

    Punit2015-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful stay at Aras Muillinn! Mary, Stephen and Fergul were so welcoming - over and beyond. We loved the house - there were 7 of us and we all fit comfortably because the house is so huge! It's beautiful - our favourite room was the sunroom. From this location, we drove everywhere in Ireland and saw many big sights as well as local sights that Mary recommended. We have been travelling for nine month and this was by far the best AirBnB stay. We saved the best for last. Do not hesitate to rent this house - you won't regret it!

    Michelle2015-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • We were made feel very welcome by Mary and her family. The house is beautiful and immaculate. We spend every Christmas in Ireland and this was definitely one of the best houses we have rented. Mary took the trouble to come and see how we had settled in and advise us of where we could shop locally, and decorated the house for XmasI we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this property

  • This is a lovely house which is very well equipped making it suitable for a short or longer stay. We stayed in cold weather and the cottage with its open fire was really cozy. The host and the caretaker were very welcoming and helpful. This part of Wexford is full of things to see and do and the house is well located to tour the county and surrounding areas. We had a really good break away.

  • The Aga was very welcoming. Thank you Kay! We slept so soundly on the supremely comfortable master bedroom mattress. The kids in our group thoroughly enjoyed running around the grounds. We had a wonderful reunion with visiting friends and would highly recommend the cottage for a group with 2 children. It was great to see the stars in the night sky.

  • Kate was very attentive in helping us make sure we had detailed instructions, and also gave us nice tips on what to do. Her property feels private and secluded, but close to town. We absolutely loved the grounds and property. As my mother put it, it's "perfectly Irish." We'd recommend the Cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing and unique place to stay.

    Sean2016-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a wonderful weekend at Kate's cottage. The house is in a very scenic location, with a lovely garden and lots of opportunities for walking nearby. The weather wasn't always accommodating but that also gave us an excuse to stay in and enjoy our lovely accommodation. It was lovely to have the aga, as it made the kitchen really cosy. The bedrooms in the house are also really nice, with very comfortable beds. Kate was always very quick to respond throughout the booking process and our stay and she was very accommodating when the numbers in our group fluctuated a bit at the last minute. Kay was ready to greet us on arrival and already had a fire going and the aga lit. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Kate's cottage for anyone looking for a quiet break in the country.

  • We had a lovely stay at Brian and Connys cosy, fully equipped, 2 bed apartment. It was just the 2 of us but 5 people could stay easily. Brian and Conny were very welcoming and full of knowledge and advice about the area. Quiet area, situated right by the beach and some other lovely beaches and tourist attractions close by. Pub right next door. Nearest village 2 miles. Highly recommended weekend escape to coast.

  • Staying in this 2 bedroom appt was a home from home, very comfortable. Brian and Connie were excellent hosts given exact directions, and friendly people.

  • Really lovely people in a perfect remote little place. We felt more like we were staying with family than we were at AirBnB - both Brian and Connie were more than happy to help us with anything at all! Highly recommended, would love to visit again, but maybe in the summer next time!

  • Brian was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The place is lovely and is fully equipped, i'm sure you could cook a 3 course meal and bake a cake with all the equipment in the place. It was lovely to sit out in the sun room reading our books with a view of the sea. The beach is only a few minutes walk down the road and it's a beautiful walk. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to anyone.

  • It was great staying here. Really out of way private and beautiful area. Lots of space. everything you need. Very family friendly. Had a travel cot and a room filled with toys which was great. Definitely recommended.

  • After booking the apartment very last minute at such a reasonable price, we were surprised to find such a cosy, clean and well equipped home from home. The location is fantastic, the beach is literally a stones throw away and very quiet (most days we had it to ourselves!) and our one year old daughter was able to go for a daily paddle before bed! There seemed to be plenty to do nearby - we really enjoyed visits to Kilmore Quay and Hook Lighthouse! The hosts, Brian and Connie were lovely and made us feel very welcome, while also giving us space to relax and explore. Thank you for a lovely break!

Cottage in rural setting, very private, quiet and quaint, 1.5km to local shops and pubs. 5km to renowned Kilmore Quay fishing village, marina and beaches.
This is a very rural setting in the sunny south east.
  • Great place! kids loved it and grown-ups too!! Very private quiet location, beautiful garden where kids can play all day while grown-ups pick delicious plums from the tree!! thanks Eamon...hope to visit again soon!

  • My mother in law who joined us on our trip described eamons house perfectly. She said it was magical and that it took her back in time to 50 years ago but with all mod cons. This was our first air bnb experience and we couldn't of wished for more

  • HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Eamon is a great host, very considerate. He hit the perfect balance between ensuring we were ok & then allowing us the privacy to enjoy our break. He gave excellent advice about where to go & what to see in Co. Wexford, & a great recommendation for a pub lunch on the way to the ferry at Rosslare when we left. He was even kind enough to offer that we could stay past our check-out time as our ferry wasn't until the evening. He is only a phone call away & just occasionally sent a text to make sure everything was fine. As the for the accommodation, Wow! Beautiful little cottage in a completely isolated location. Spacious garden that would be ideal for families/children. The beds were clean & comfortable & the kitchen was clean & well set out. There is a shower & a bath. Great open plan kitchen/diner & connected sitting room. Down a short track is a stunning private lake that you could swim in, if inclined, or just sit & admire the beauty of it. There is internet, but be advised it is slow. That is not a complaint from us, just a warning to those that view fast internet as an essential. Don't expect to be able to stream movies, or similar. We had a great time at Eamon's place & would definitely stay there again. If you're looking for a quiet retreat or a base point to explore the "sunny southeast" of Ireland this is an ideal option.

Rathmoon: Is a restful oasis surrounded by water and trees; inspired by both our ancient Celtic heritage and the beauty of the natural world.
"Rathmoon" is a private secluded residence and studio, The house itself is quite unique being formed around a curved stone wall reminiscent of an old Irish ring fort.
Rathmoon is located just approx. 100 meters from the New Line Road R733, and 10 minutes drive to the Whitford Hotel Roundabout at the edge of Wexford Town. It is a short drive to attractions such as Johnstown Castle, Kilmore Quay, Tintern abbey and Cullenstown beach.
  • We had a lovely time at Rathmoon. The space was cozy but had everything you needed and was comfortable. We enjoyed watching the fish in the pond outside our door.

  • Our host Xiaohong and her family had a lovely warm welcome for us when we arrived. She also supplied our accommodation with fresh fruit, bread and milk for breakfast. After a tour of our accommodation Xiaohong was able to give us a list of places to go for food and a drink that evening and also a map. We attended a wedding during our stay and the next morning Xiaohong husband brought us back to the wedding venue to collect our car.

    Liz2015-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed our stay here. Beautiful home located ideally for visiting many interesting sites in the mostly sunny South East. Full selection of fresh food awaited us both inside & out of the fridge. A pleasant surprise! Xiaohong & Peter both very friendly & welcoming plus got a mini tour of their beautifully designed home. Something we also really appreciated. Highly recommended with nothing but good things to say.

    Eugene2015-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • We were absolutely astounded at the beauty of this place! Xiaohong and Peter were very sweet, though we spent most of our time with Peter as Xiaohong was out of town for most of our stay. Peter is an architect who designed and built this beautiful home. He also landscaped the plot and the garden is to die for. I spent a good chunk of time sitting in the garden, standing on the bridges, and exploring the forest that Peter himself planted 15 years ago. The accommodation is set up as a private apartment in their home. You will have a private living room, bedroom, kitchenette, and bathroom. There are floor-to-cieling windows in the living room and bedroom so there is tons of natural light. It is set up as small 3-story apartment with the living room on the main floor, kitchenette and bathroom on the landing of the stairs, and bedroom in the upstairs loft. Peter gave a very good explanation of his inspiration for the home which added to the fascinating stay. I would come here again for sure and recommend it to anyone, especially those who may be seeking something on the fancier side of things. And I have to say, for gay couples traveling together, this is a safe place.

    Justin2017-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very welcoming family including the lovely children. The listing was accurate but we were a bit disappointed by the small size of the space. The location is good for access particularly to west Wexford, the Hook peninsula, JFK Arboretum & the towns of New Ross & Wexford.

    Julie 2016-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Xiaohong and Peter (and their children) made us feel very welcome. Their house and grounds are beautiful and the accommodation is clean and comfortable (especially the bed), with a lovely view over the garden and pond outside the window. It’s well located for access to the South East area, and near the coast. Xiaohong was incredibly kind and helpful, nothing seemed too much trouble. Would highly recommend, and thank you!

Within walking distance of Ballycross Apple Farm where you can enjoy farm walks and the farm produce shop. Open weekends from March to December. The house is located 7 KM from Kilmore Quay. A beautiful traditional Irish fishing village on the coast of County Wexford in the South East of Ireland. Kilmore Quay can deliver a host of activities to accommodate your visit from Crafts, Chartered Boats, Diving, Sailing, Shore Angling and an array of Wildlife attractions. Car needed to get around.
  • A very homely house with a garden that is totally undersold in the brochure! Garden is huge and enclosed and perfect for small people to spend hours exploring. Location was perfect for our needs, a nice short walk into Bridgetown for breakfast or takeaway or shop. Downstairs bedroom is enormous, plenty of space for a family of 4. There was no microwave which is the only thing we missed, but everything else was great

    Teresa2015-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great house and location if you need relaxation and walks.

    Therese2017-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • The house looks better than the photos and was quite large. It is nearly a 3 bed as there is a front small room with a sofa bed. The dining area which is part of the kitchen can seat 8 and looks out the front of the house so you can admire the odd tractor passing. Both the sitting room and kitchen have a door out to the garden which is great when you have good weather. The garden was th best part - it was beautiful, secluded and sheltered. It consisted of a large area split in two where my boys could run, hide and play football. The location is great for exploring the south Wexford area. We had a great holiday. Thanks.

  • Great host, beautiful sorroundings and confortable house.

    Silvia2017-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • The house is a really comfortable, really homely place, and I couldn't recommend it enough for a family holiday, or somewhere to enjoy a quiet break away from town. Everything we needed (except, perhaps for a microwave) was provided, and all in great condition. Very clean on arrival (less so as my three young kids and I were leaving!) and the host's welcome and communication were great. Highly recommended.

  • We had a lovely stay in this beautiful cottage near Kilmore Quay. The hosts were really helpful. The cottage itself is beautiful, very spacious with a lovely big garden. The cottage is in a very quiet area, but close to everything you might need. The local village is a short walk, with shops, a cafe etc. And it is a short drive to lots of lovely villages, including Kilmore Quay, with it's beautiful beach. I would highly recommend it and hope to stay here again.

    Louise2015-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Mareike's house was lovely. The place had a Scandinavian-type feel to it, in that it was quite minimalist decor but has everything you need. I don't think you could really stay here without hiring a car. Getting about would be difficult, although maybe not impossible but we didn't try. It's quite close to Bridgetown which had a lovely cafe where we had breakfast the one morning. This was recommended by Mareike upon arrival where she had left a business card and some snacks (they were devoured!) and some juices from the local farm. We arrived late but there was no problem but for the darkness down the road where the house was located. We thought we were in the right place but I had to resort to looking at the picture to find identifiable markings to work out which house it was as there were a couple along the road. All in all a lovely property and the hosts were very contactable and helpful.

    Rhian2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Tastefully furnished house in Bridgetown. Includes a big cozy table in the open kitchen, paving tiles and a fireplace in the living room. The nice dinner set is mostly made from pottery, (not one item will be identical to another and no plastics!), which also gives one a good idea of the further interior design. Somewhat French. Big graden with loads of privacy. There are bicycles in the shed and a tennis court that is free to use. I definitely recommend the Ballycross Farm nearby for families with young kids. The proprietors were abroad, but the family lives close by. Mareike’s sister Michaela will be your contact person. She is very friendly and caring, and always available. The absence of a set of rules and regulations gives one a relaxed feeling. Shower and bath. We have visited Wexford for a day and we went to the Hook Peninsula (lighthouse, abbey, beautiful beaches like Baginbun, Dollar, and Booley). There is a small supermarket nearby and a big one at Wellingtonbridge.

A beautiful bijou home located in an 18th century walled garden with sea views. This is a very special place to call home...even for a few days. Located in the countryside, just 25 minutes from Wexford town, it is the perfect peaceful getaway.
The Red House is a unique house, it was built around a year ago and is attached to an 18th century coach house which is under restoration. Every detail of the interior received great thought and attention! The kitchen counter top is made from slate salvaged from a snooker table, the sofa is constructed from salvaged pallets. The house is in a walled garden and during the day, hens roam freely. I have two cats and a dog also. There is a sea view from upstairs.
Bannow bay is a truly beautiful area. The house is a 1 minute walk from a bird sanctuary so any wildlife lovers will adore it here. There are lots of fantastic, relatively deserted beaches just down the road. Hook head is a 30 minute drive, Kilmore quay and Wexford town are just 20 minutes away and Rosslare strand is 45 minutes away. The house itself is retreat enough however! If you want a quiet weekend, away from the city, this will be the perfect spot for you. It is incredibly relaxing here!
  • What a cool house! We had such a cosy time in Ann's beautifully designed and tastefully decorated home, which shares a walled garden with an old castle ruin and a coach house/studio space, as well as roaming hens, apple trees and gorgeous sea views. It was a pleasure to stay here, cook in the well equipped kitchen (where there was bread and homemade jams left for us upon arrival), and sit reading by the fire with the cats, while the local village is a 2minute drive away for buying food. Ann is lovely, and met us when we arrived to show us around and was always available nearby or by phone if we needed anything. Would love to have stayed longer or to return another time, and i'd recommend it to anyone who wants a peaceful and inspiring getaway 2hours from Dublin.

  • Ann's house is extremely cosy and a very welcoming place to stay. We were given lots of help finding our way there and also finding our way around the house. The setting is gorgeous and has a real country feel as we were welcomed by her lovely cat and lots of nearby chickens!

  • Staying at Ann' s house has been fantastic. We didn't meet Ann but Ann explained everything important and there were very handy instructions around the house. The house was really beautiful and bright, when the fire was on it was warm and cosy, cat joined us, she was very cuddly and friendly ) This is perfect place for getaway, so relaxing, just what we needed. Thanks for everything :)

    Maria2016-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great communication. Very welcoming complete with chocolates on arrival and good local recommendations. House is a very unusual typology for Ireland and fits beautifully on the site. The west facing sitting area at the back of the house is v cosy and comfortable - perfect for afternoon lolling or snug nights in. I think it necessary to say that it's not really suitable for anyone with mobility issues - bathroom is downstairs, bedroom upstairs and stairs is quite steep. Also better if you can embrace the cat and dog as they are used to living in the house and looked a bit disgruntled with their temporary expulsion and they are v cute. There is probably also room to make it a little cleaner I thought - I am very fussy though! I found the bed quite uncomfortable too but it is as advertised in the photos. All in all I would recommend this house for its spirit and charm but it might not be for everyone.

    majella 2015-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely holiday here! The setting is gorgeous, great outdoor space and view from the balcony, and we especially liked the wood- burning stove. Plenty of fun things to do in the local area, and really near a town with a big supermarket. Thank you Ann!

    Sophie2016-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Loved it. Ann's house is beautifully designed and unique home, full of character that is instantly warm and welcoming. Littered with art, personal touches, and comfort. • Our first Air B&B experience Frank and Geraldine were very friendly hosts. They gave us a very warm welcome and presented a wonderful home for us to stay. Our children Ben and Emma loved the space outdoors and in. A fantastic garden with a lovely pool filled with orimental fish and a lovley little kitten called Lucky who the kids were mad about. A great base to explore the Southeast.

    Niall2017-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Frank and Geraldine are perfect hosts. their home is perfectly located to enjoy day trips all around Wexford. The house itself is gorgeous; comfortable, well-furnished and kept meticulously clean. It seems to be true what they say about the sunny South East too! Highly recommended.

  • Geraldine & Frank were very attentive hosts. They generously provided all the essentials for breakfast & even a bottle of rosé for evening entertainment! The house is well equipped & beautifully decorated. Bedrooms are luxuriously comfortable & the large bathroom has a "wow factor". The garden had a lovely seating area for relaxing in the evening sunshine after a busy day touring. Ballymitty is well located for exploring South Wexford & East Waterford.

  • The place is remote and quiet, giving you the perfect escape from city life. A beautifully renovated farm house with fantastic facilities. They have everything equipped that you might need. The rooms are large and the beds have heat blankets, which adds extra coziness. Frank showed us around the farm and explained the milking process. Both him and Geraldine are super friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend this airbnb, even if the weather might now play along, you will have a nice time staying in. Especially with the crackle of the fireplace in the background.

    Hannah2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Happy to say myself and two friends were the first to experience Frank & Geraldine's lovely home. We arrived down on a Saturday evening, frank and geraldine were not around to meet us but a lovely friend of there's (also frank) met us and showed us about. The house itself has a bit of a wow factor when you walk through it. There is much more to it than what is shown in the pictures. It was exactly what we were after for the weekend. Frank and Geraldine had pretty much fully stocked the house for us with fire wood, food and drinks and ample reading material from his and Geraldine's book collection. We lit the fire and settled in for the evening with a glass of wine. On day two we met with Frank who was up early to begin work on his dairy farm. He showed us around the grounds, which has over 40 cows and a beautiful pond that has lots of fish. We went out for the day travelling around waterford and wexford. The house isn't too far from hook head (recommended) and even closer to the passage east car ferry to Waterford. When we returned, we sat outside in the beautiful back garden and frank told us a little more about his dairy farm business and his son & daughter. He also left us some more fire wood for the evening. The bathroom is something to be admired. All three of us has our chance to enjoy the free standing bath that fills up with light throughout the day and there was lovely soaps etc from Avoca. We had an early leave on the Monday back to Dublin. We had requested a spare mattress from frank which he gladly supplied and then some. The house actually has three bedrooms but one of the rooms has some belongings from his daughter. We actually didn't beed the extra room in the end but it was very nice to be offered. Would love to revisit. Quick escape out of the city, easy to find and lovely scenic views

  • Great hospitality, tranquility and a beautiful cottage. I'd eagerly come back!

  • John and Claire welcomed us to Alice Cottage and checked we had everything we needed. They gave us plenty of information about the area and the history of the cottage and excellent suggestions about where to eat.If any minor problems arose, they were happy to help. The cottage was as described in the listing and the area was quiet but with easy access to many places of interest.

  • We spent a week in the 'Alice' cottage in August 2017. The location is really really quiet and the accommodation is fantastic. There is very little mobile phone reception in the area, which is also a bonus! John & Claire are brilliant hosts with lots of local knowledge about things to do and all the various beaches within 5-10 minute drive from the house. The accommodation & facilities are great, you couldn't really ask for more.

    jason2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cottage and surrounding area. Great for walking or cycling to beaches all within a 10km radius. Lovely people John and Claire, full of local knowledge on where to go and what to do and see.

  • It was a great time with John in the cottage! We like Ireland very much and would not hesitate to again rent with John. Thanks for the great evenings and your support so that we could find our way in Ireland. Thank you very much!

  • We had a great week in 'Alice'. The property has everything you need for a good stay and is really well located for trips to Waterford, Wexford and in particular the Hook Peninsular, where we spent much of our time. John and Claire were very friendly and helpful when we had a delayed arrival and with suggestions for things to do. Highly recommend.

  • This is a homely converted barn just a short walk to the local beach, which is secluded and lovely. A car is essential to avail of the areas of interest and restaurants nearby. The accommodation itself is comfortable and cosy. Our host left us with all the ingredients needed to enjoy a full Irish breakfast each morning and was close at hand if we needed anything, which we didn't. There was a wifi connection in the adjacent house. Unfortunately the signal wasn't strong enough to reach inside our accommodation, so any internet browsing had to be done outside in the yard. A remedy for this would be a wifi-range extender, which is something our host might consider for the future. Overall it was wonderful experience in a gorgeous part of Ireland. Thank you Helena

With spectacular views of Bannow Bay, The Lodge is a place that induces a long, deep intake of breath. It’s like a look-out post to the elements – expansive skies meet earth and fields that slope to the sea. Blackhall and Bannow Island, within a five-minute drive, have long sandy beaches. The wonderful Tintern Abbey and Colcough Gardens are fifteen-minutes away, and Wexford town is twenty-five.
The Lodge is surrounded by countryside. It’s situated on the grounds of our family home, though with unobstructed views of the sea it has privacy. The interior has been lovingly designed and constructed, with solid timber flooring downstairs, an old, handmade Wexford dresser in the kitchen area, and bespoke doors to the bedrooms. It is centrally heated and is very well insulated.
We are situated approximately one mile from the villages of Wellingtonbridge, which has a large SuperValu supermarket, and Carrig-on-Bannow, which has a Post-Office, newsagent, The Red Door Cafe, a Catholic Church and two pubs. The beaches of Blackhall and Bannow Island are a five-ten minute drive, and those of Baginbun and Carnivon a fifteen-twenty minute drive. The area has many tourist attractions, some of which include Hook Head and Hook Lighthouse, Tintern Abbey and Colclough Gardens, Johnstown Castle, the Fort at Duncannon, Kilmokea Gardens, and the Dunbrody Famine Ship and museum in New Ross.
  • Lovely tranquil location with beautiful views over Bannow Bay. Great place for exploring the Hook Peninsula, which has so much to see (castles, a fort, a haunted house, an 800 year lighthouse, an abbey and 14 beautiful beaches). The village of Wellingtonbridge is a short distance away which has a petrol station, a nice pub and a very well stocked supermarket. Our host Ruth was very welcoming and left us fruit, tea, coffee, milk, cake and other essentials. She also has a folder prepared with lots of info on local attractions, eating places which proved useful. Wish we had another day or two more to explore the area. My wife and i thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thanks!

    Stuart2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful lodge. The welcome we received was excellent and it's a fantastic destination for a relaxing break away. Simon and Ruth were very accommodating and provided us with huge amounts of detailed information on the local area and its attractions. We loved the style of the lodge and the views were amazing. We would 100% recommend this lodge.

    Richelle2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Ruth and Simons house was one of our best Airbnb experiences so far. Everything was just as described and Ruth left us lots of information about the local area. We had complete privacy but Ruth was right there if you needed anything. The view was just as the picture only better. It made our stay (the fine weather helped as well) I can highly recommend this little secluded quiet spot, it was perfect for a 3 day break from the city.

    Adrienne2017-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • This place is lovely - the perfect getaway for couples or a small group, and just as it looks in the photos. Spotlessly clean with everything you need - great cooking facilities (better than you get in a lot of Airbnbs - love the gas stove!). Ruth and her family are very welcoming and helpful. Beautiful views across Bannow Bay. Excellent stay!

    Jen2017-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage, easy to find. Ruth was welcoming and helpful. She has equipped the cottage with everything you might need, including a binder with local attractions & estimates on how long it takes to get there, nice fluffy & big bath towels and face cloths. The kitchen was stocked with the basics you might need including, coffee, tea, sugar, olive oil, salt and spices.

  • Myself and 7 friends stayed at the cottage for 3 nights over New Years and we could not have had a better experience! It was exactly what we'd hoped for and more. John was quick to respond with our request and forwarded on any details we required. Mary was really friendly & super helpful and came to meet us once we'd arrived at the house. The house itself is so spacious and plenty of areas to enjoy some chilled out time. The window seat was especially nice! The kitchen was perfect for cooking and catering for a large group. Each of the bedrooms were nicely decorated and very large. The house is right on the beach and despite the weather, we enjoyed a few walks and even a swim here. It was stunning. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage and would definitely return with friends and family in the future! A lovely start to 2016! Thanks!

  • Slade cottage is lovely. It is a thatch cottage with a modern extension and the photos do not do the inside justice. It is the last house on a laneway leading to a beach and the location is very peaceful and relaxing. There were two of us staying for a weekend and we had a very enjoyable stay. John was very prompt in communicating and he arranged for Mary to meet us on arrival.

  • We booked Slade Cottage as a Christmas present for our parents to spend some quality time as a family. It exceeded all of our expectations, the pictures on airbnb do not do it justice at all. We are 7 adults and there was room to spare. There are two large, beautiful double ensuite rooms, both with baths and one with a fully equipped sauna. There is an upstairs twin bedroom and a loft with two extra single beds. The sitting room is very cosy with two large sofas, books, boardgames, TV etc. The kitchen is very spacious and bright with a large kitchen perfect for cooking, a table to comfortably seat 8 and a beautiful window seat looking out over the fields and the little brook that runs through the garden. The gardens that run all around the house are picture perfect and there is an outdoor seating area that would be great in warmer weather. The house is at the end of a cul de sac that runs directly onto Blackhall beach which is very private and excellent for walking on. John and Mary made everything so easy for us with flexible check in times and the heating set to keep the house warm. I can't recommend it highly enough for an escape to the country side, total relaxation and quality time with friends and family. Thanks again John and Mary, we will certainly be back, The Hourigans, Jonathan, Gar & our puppy Tess :)

  • Absolutely wonderful hosts who went out of their way to ensure a very comfortable stay. I do travel a lot and have been to many B&B's and Air B&Bs and so far this is the best B&B I have stayed in. It gives a homely feel more than a guest house. I would definitely stay here any other time I am in Wexford and need a place to stay.

  • What a lovely and gracious family! They were kind enough to let us check in early due to hurricane Ophelia and shared their dinner with us as well! We had a splendid time and hope to visit again!

  • We had a lovely stay in Wexford. Ann and her family are really nice and very helpful. As mentioned in the description the some rooms still have to be renovated but that did not reduce our experience.

  • We had a enjoyable stay in Ann's house. Ann is a very friendly person who gave us a warm welcome. There were eggs, bread, milk, cookies as a welcome in the house and a bunch of flowers in the kitchen. The bedrooms are nicely decorated. Our bedroom had a good (small) double bed and an extra tv. The kitchen is well equipped. Everything you need is there. WiFi is available, but we had coverage only in the kitchen. Coverage of mobile phone is poor, due to the area. But we didn't mind. The house has an enclosed garden with a table and comfortabele chairs, where you can enjoy sun, breakfast or dinner. We enjoyed staying in the country. Thanks Ann for your hospitality.

  • An accurate listing, however I think more could be said about the renovated rooms! They could not be more comfortable, or more beautiful! The house is so central to so many of our favourite places in Wexford. Such a peaceful area. A more friendly, helpful, good natured host you will not find! Ann is wonderful! If we are thinking of Wexford again for another holiday in the future, I would not hesitate in returning here!

  • We had a great stay the house was well equipped and big enough for our family. It is in a good location for travelling around most parts of Wexford. We really enjoyed our stay and the fresh eggs where lovely from Ann's hens. Our kids loved playing out in the garden and seeing the new puppy ,cows and hens.

  • We had a wonderful stay for one week at Anne's farmhouse. The photos on the website do not do it justice. It is nicer in person than it appears on the website. The rooms are spacious and bright and well appointed. We had loads of room for our family of 4. Everything in the house is new and up to date. The kitchen is very well equipped with lots of dishes, all the equipment needed to cook and lots of space to unwind. The front room has satellite TV with hundreds of channels. The WiFi is a bit sporadic (the best reception is on the back patio) but generally useable, at least to do email and check the sports scores! Anne is a charming hostess who provided lots of kitchen supplies and was ready with advice and helpful suggestions. All the beds have nice new mattresses and were made with lovely new sheets and towels. Located a 5 minute drive from the nearest small town and about 20 minutes from Wexford, which is the closest large centre. Not a lot of nightlife but a peaceful, quiet escape with lots to see within easy driving distance. We highly recommend this place.
