“There is no greater way of exploring the beautiful, wild Atlantic coast than by horseback.. Here, you can be sure to meet friendly staff, and horses that are well-cared for. Enjoy the freedom, the wind and the salt spray from Killahoey Beach!”

“Dunfanaghy: - Fantastic spot for a sour dough pizza. Always busy but you can grab a drink from Patsy Dan’s while you wait. If the sun is shining sit outside and be amazed by the crispy sour dough bases and well thought through topping combos. If you’re feeling a little fruity you can order a dessert pizza with seasonal fruits and Nutella. Opens at five, ”

It is easily walked, but offers a superb golfing challenge, with spectacular views of beaches, headlands, harbours and mountains. The greens are consistently rated with the best in the country and is proud to have listed two Irish Close champions and one North of Ireland Open champion over the last decade. “Dunfanaghy :- The only thing better than the sandwiches and baked potatoes is the banter you’ll get from the staff. The sandwiches are packed to bursting and you’ll drown in the amount of tea they put in a pot. And we’ve not even got onto the cake selection!”

“Dunfanaghy :- Open from dawn til dusk you could sit and eat in here all day. The breakfast is ludicrously good value with coffee or tea included. Their famous ‘belly buster’ burger will leave you wobbly afterwards. Another place with a mighty friendly team who’s mission is to fill you up with good food without breaking the bank.”

“If you wannabe surfer who is still trying to "get up" and ride that first wave, you can rent some boards and wetsuits here for a good price! If there is no surf, due to the sea being flat, Jaws also offer kayaking and cliff diving! You will be amazed at all the sea life you see from simply jumping off and overcoming your fear! ”

“This is one of my families favourite shops - a compact shop full of lovely unusual food items, a lovely selection of cheeses and cold cured meats, we nearly visit every time and always buy something. The owners are very helpful and informative, definitely worth a visit.”

“This pub is great for a drink after a long walk and you want to watch a rugby match on the big screen during the six nations. The locals are friendly and make you feel very welcome.”

“Boyce's Centra is a shop you need to know about for your stay as it has everything, including the ATM to get your Euro's, an off licence to allow you to stock up and a whole host of great products, be this for breakfast and your preference is a healthy fruit pot or tasty sizzling bacon. I also tend to grab a tea or coffee here to take to the beach!”

“Dunfanaghy;- Cafe Arnou begins the day with coffees and by night moonlights as a gourmet burger bar. The menu has great variety. I highly recommend the sweet potato fries and with options like pulled pork burgers and falafel pitas you’ve plenty to get excited about!”
