Holiday Rentals in Dunorlan

Just booked in Dunorlan

Whether you are traveling to Cradle Mountain or Walls of Jerusalem, or exploring Mole Creek's local National Parks, caves, gorges, world class trout fishing and bush walks, this modern, welcoming and off grid guest unit offers the perfect secluded & sustainable bush living experience for lovers of nature, wildlife, good food and fine crafted ales.
Secluded, modern and cozy. We offer an off grid, sustainable living experience in a 2 bedroom guest unit, adjacent to our main house, on a 190acre sustainable lifestyle property. We have just upgraded all our furniture with a whole new minimalist fit out in the West Wing (check the pics). We are still working on a few landscaping projects and they are due for completion by start of Dec. Our 1km drive way has also just been upgraded to improve two way accessibility. We are a fully licenced premises and nano brewery and are working toward certification to offer restaurant quality meals which we plan to offer from Dec 2017. This is all in preparation for launch of Wandering Trout Crafty Ales, Nano Brewery & Accommodation in the new year. Our first commercial brew is due by Late Nov-early Dec. Come and see us as we prepare for our exciting new venture! We look forward to your visit.
Mole Creek sits on a large limestone karst system with some 400 known caves in the area. The creek it's self 'moles' in and out of the karst system along it's length. Stunning views of the Great Western Tiers are a feature of the area, as are many great outdoor activities. Watching the light change over the Tiers can be mesmerising late in the afternoon. Sunrises and sunsets can be truly spectacular.
  • My 2 nights here were lovely. Its secluded & wildlife is everywhere which is lovely. Don't be discouraged by the 1km dirt driveway as the residence is an oasis at the end. Justin & Susie are great hosts & are on hand to answer any questions & they give good advice on the area & what to visit. The unit which is attached to their home is modern & has a nice fireplace & great views from the bedroom & lounge. WiFi is good & needed as there is no TV. There is also no microwave/cooking facilities, but the township of Mole creek is close & a meal at the local pub or Pepperberry Cafe is recommended. Please let Justin or Susie know if you have issues with hot water for the shower as the fire heats the hot water in the unit. The dogs are lovely hosts too & so friendly. Would definitely stay again.

  • Place was as described. Set on a beautiful property. Very quiet and relaxing. Everything was clean. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Justin made some good suggestions on places to visit in the area. Recommended for a relaxing getaway.

    Heshan2016-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • The West Wing was quiet and very clean, the perfect getaway! Justin had the fire going ready for us to arrive, and we saw heaps of animals driving up the long driveway. When you stay, try and take some time to head outside and look at the stars, the place is in the middle of nowhere and the night sky is amazing! It was easy to find and in a great location, easy to get to cradle mountain & marakoopa caves. If we find ourselves in the area again, we would definitely contact Justin to stay.

    Ellie2016-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • Justin and Suzie were very welcoming and friendly hosts. Their property was modern, well stocked, and self-sustaining with very peaceful views of rolling hills of their sheep grazing. We very much enjoyed walking the trails on their property. It was a good location to get to the hike at Cradle mountain and to tour the neighbouring historic towns. We would very much recommend a stay with them at Mole Creek.

    Sherrie 2015-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • It was a pleasure staying at the property. We had a warm welcome and then left to do our own thing. We were a little worried about booking a place attached to the main residence, but it worked out nicely as we were given privacy. The dogs were very friendly and we were lucky enough to come home to a fire while we were out. There isn't much phone reception, but the free Wi-Fi helped keep us in contact with loved ones and entertained. Mole Creek is a lovely town with the wildlife sanctuary and Mole Creek caves nearby. We went to Cradle Mountain the second day, it's a 1.5 hour drive so not too far to travel. Would recommend.

    Kim2017-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay for some peace and quiet. Just like the description says, off the grid. Thanks

    Julie2017-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • The West Wing was comfortable and contained everything we needed. It is a great location for exploring Cradle Mountain and other sights including King Solomon's Cave and Sheffield. It is a remote setting which appealed to us for opportunities to view wildlife.

    Lynne2016-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Spend two fabulous nights at Justin and Susie's place - they were the perfect hosts and their space was beautiful. Highly recommended!

  • I usually stay in hotels when travelling for business but decided to give Harry's on the Hill a try. This is a beautiful property, definately 5 star accomodation with stunning views and a super comfortable bed. Kim & Dee were excellent hosts and made me feel very welcome. The property is well situated between Launceston and Devonport for business access. A breakfast hamper is provided and meals are available in Deloraine which is 10 minutes away. I will stay here again, Jon

    Andrea2016-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • We have just had the most amazing stay in Tassie at Harry's on the Hill. The accommodation was luxurious and incredibly relaxing. The house is huge but feels intimate. Views are simply stunning. I could have stayed in bed all day looking out over the Western Tiers. Kim and Dee were fantastic hosts and have thought of every detail: welcome basket of local gourmet goodies was delicious, coffee machine with freshly ground beans was an unexpected treat and all the ingredients for a delicious breakky right there in the fridge. We had planned to explore the area but loved Harry's on the Hill so much that we didn't want to leave. Every room has the most stunning view and all of them different. We loved the kitchen and dining and sat there with our coffee just taking it all in. We wish we had been there longer so have already decided we'll be back for a week with the family. Thank you Kim and Dee for the most amazing and memorable experience. We can't wait to come back.

  • Kim & Dee were a great host. amazing Secluded place but very well done. Kim was kind enough to provide us with a welcome pack wich had all the breakfast stuff for 4 ppl for the length of our stay. Very detailed place and well thought of. I will definately recomend this place to fello AIR BNB folks.

  • Our friends thoroughly enjoyed their stay and the 5-star feeling of your place. Your little gourmet contributions were also highly appreciated. The kids were able to run around and play with your chickens (we hope they are still laying eggs and have recovered from the turbulent TLC). All in all a wonderful and relaxing stay, thank you so much!

    Nina2016-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks to Dee and Kim for a wonderful stay at their house in Dunorlan. We had a great time!! We were greeted by Dee who was very friendly and welcoming and told us everything we needed to know. We thoroughly enjoyed all the detailed touches the house had to offer including the coffee machine, breakfast provisions and welcome hamper. It made our stay extra special. The house was spotless and fitted out beautifully. The beds and linen we so comfy and the views from all windows were amazing. We loved walking around the track and seeing the animals and collecting the eggs. Thanks again, it was a very relaxing stay and we'd love to come back one day!! :)

    Miria2016-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • If you're after a relaxed or romantic place to get away don't look anywhere else. Kim and Dee's property is stunning and the perfect place to unwind and chill out. The house is huge and immaculate, and has absolutely everything you'd ever need. Kim and Dee respected our privacy too, easy check in and check out which was much appreciated. The farm is also in a great location to get to nearby attractions such as Cradle Mountain (provided you have a car). Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kim and Dee's place to anybody I know!!

  • The Stone Cottage in Dunlorlan is set in beautiful green countryside, and visitors will feel relaxed as soon as they enter the driveway towards the house. It has a classic farmhouse feel. With a beautiful open fire each night, and hydronic heating throughout the house, it was a cozy place to spend cold nights. Dennis was easy to contact and was a great host. Many thanks!

    John2017-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is a hidden gem which delivers way more than it promises. The location is central to Central Region, the Western Tiers and even Cradle Mountain. We found the house to have a joyous feel and felt a real wrench when we had to leave. We're already planning a return trip. Dennis was prompt and helpful with his communications and helped us retrieve an item left behind. The photos don't do it justice, it's even more beautiful than they show. One of the nicest places we've ever stayed in.

    M2017-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most wonderful time. House was so quaint and comfortable and outlook and surrounds were absolutely beautiful. So relaxing. Finding the Christmas tree was an added bonus! Thankyou so much for our stay. My boys still are raving about how they want to live there forever!! Such special family memories. Boys loved climbing the trees. I also loved being so close to so many foodie places. And the whole region is so picturesque. We really didn't want to leave. Thanks.

    Bec2017-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful old building in a very peaceful setting, but within easy distance to attractions such as Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm, Ashgrove, Deloraine, and Anvers Chocolate Factory is only about 30 minutes drive. We used it as a base to travel to Cradle Mountain and we felt it was good - about an hours drive away. The house itself is gorgeous - very Jane Austin and cute, and it has a full kitchen and lots of bathrooms. Because it is an old house, the living areas are divided up - it is definitely not open plan. However, the various living and dining room areas are comfortable and spacious and catch the sun at various times of the day. Upstairs is lovely - they now have blinds so you can close them as you get dressed (although most windows face onto pasture anyway). We had a young children with us and managed just fine, but I think it's probably necessary to take into account the steep staircase leading upstairs if you have very young or very old people in your party. We blocked off the bottom of the staircase with the fire guard to stop the baby from climbing the stairs, but our three year old could navigate them with no problems.

    Bex2017-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Spacious cottage in a great location!

    Priscilla S.2017-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • The photo posted by Dennis of the house do not do justice to how absolutely beautiful and magical the place is. My family absolutely loved the place. It's easily my best Airbnb experience. We will be back. We watched the shooting stars at night and woke up to the cows and sheeps. Sunrise and sunset there is absolutely stunning. Only thing is that the water from the shower on the ground floor spills out easily and wets the carpet by the door. Be sure to place a tower there.

    Bingyu2017-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • A delightful heritage cottage built with thick bluestone walls set in beautiful farmland, with magnificent views to the distant hills. It was WOW when we entered the spacious kitchen featuring beautiful wooden benchtops and all the mod cons. Panel heaters took the chill off the rooms. The upstairs bedrooms each had their own cozy, ensuites which is great. The cottage is nearby to excellent attractions - the Raspberry Farm, the ETC Cafe and the Ashgrove Cheese Farm. We thoroughly recommend Griffin Cottage.

    Bronwen2016-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Though it is not in the town center, it is convenient to drive to other palces. It is a quiet and beautiful house to stay. Clean and tidy. We strongly recommend it.

Picture the unspoiled views of the Great Western Tiers, the majestic presence of Mt Roland, the natural beauty and tranquility of native bushlands, birds, animals including wombats, wallabies and bandicoots just to name a few. Nestled in the heart of Tasmania's North,14 min from Deloraine.
Beautiful wood and stone multi leved cottage. Comfortably sleeps 4, 2 double bedrooms. May not suit everyone due to different levels and stairs. Closest super market 14 km, closest shop 8km.
We live in rural environment with farm land and mountains around us.
  • This cottage was adorable and a great place for our family to stay on our way to Cradle Mountain. It truly is a remote experience, complete with an amazing night time view of some fantastic stars. The experience is fairly rustic but all needed amenities are provided. Definitely take Carolyn up on the suggestion to pick up any supplies needed in Deloraine, as there are no stores nearby. The cottage was cozy and provided us with the right amount of space and comfort on our quick trip to Tassie.

    Krista2017-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Whispering Hills Retreat is very secluded and quiet as well as extremely welcoming and comfortable. The cottage was enchanting with delightful details. We enjoyed having our meals in the garden which overlooked the fields, forests and mountains. ( We were lucky to have great weather.) Carolyn thoughtfully provided goodies for breakfast and had left contact details should we have any queries which she responded to quickly. We all loved our stay here.

  • We loved this gorgeous rustic cottage. The fridge had unexpected and much aporeciated extras (milk, bread, butter) and the bath was amazing after a day's hiking. The location was so peaceful and we felt very private. It was really very lovely.

  • Quirky, comfortable, secluded, serene.

  • Whispering Hills lives up to its name. A very beautiful cottage with a fabulous fire, comfortable lounge and two gorgeous bedrooms. It is a great place to explore Mole Creek and Deloraine areas. We spent one day caving with a local guide, and it was great to return to the cottage after being underground.

    Lisa2017-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful stay in accommodation that is unique and interesting. Loved the secluded location. The design of the house was beautifully rustic, with a pinch of Harry Potter. Garden and surrounds were delightful, and very peaceful. Very conveniently located for the ferry at Devonport. Wish we were able to stay for longer.

Peaceful Biodynamic/organic garden sanctuary in the artistic and creative heart of Tasmania. Comfortable, light, cosy, home surrounded by beautiful garden for food, beauty and health. Aiming towards sustainability with solar panels & solar hotwater.
Cosy 1950's home with natural timber floors, light and airy with plenty of windows overlooking the garden. This home is for health and wellbeing, and is a place to unwind and find your natural rhythm. Surrounded by beautiful mountains, natural beauty, and the creative arts of the community. Biodynamic organic vegetable garden and small orchard with chickens free ranging. Two beautiful geese are the resident lawnmowers - they are placid and very sweet creatures if treated with respect and love, and are very beautiful to watch taking their bath in the paddling pool.
Deloraine is a beautiful quaint small rural village that is full of crafts and arts people, loved by artists because of the natural beauty of the Great Western Tiers and the wild beauty of the wilderness beyond. The Meander River weaves it way through the centre of town, it's source high in the mountains and it's flow irrigates the farms on its way. We are surrounded by rich volcanic farmland with hawthorn hedges, some old stone walls and farm animals all makes for bucolic bliss. Us locals are an eclectic bunch, environmentalists, nature lovers, artists, healers, farmers, beekeepers, and gardeners with our fair share of quirky & creative types and the usual mix in an interesting rural country town. We grow award winning foods in the region, including the only organic dairy in Tasmania, Elgaar farm, best spuds you'll find anywhere in the world, superb berry farms - blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries. Markets The Harvest Market in Launceston is on Saturday mornings and is award winning - beautiful produce, and go for breakfast or morning tea/lunch, you won't be disappointed. Cafes & Restaurants My favourites are Tasmania food & Wine Conservatory, Bass Highway Sassafras, 15 minutes drive towards Devonport on left - the best regional organic & local food in an exquisite setting of a conservatory. Closed Monday & check their hours in Winter time. In Deloraine the deli is an institution with locals open for breakfast, lunch & afternoon tea, dinner available on Friday & Saturday nights. For dinner we have several pubs that do good quality pub fare, first choice is the Empire Hotel followed by the Deloraine Hotel, both are beautiful old pubs with a good serving of charm and great restoration of original features. The best coffee in town is from the Art Gallery, left hand side of Emu Bay Road, 10 minutes walk from the house, if you really like your coffee like me its worth the 15 minute drive to Tasmanian Food & Wine Conservatory - this is a must do experience. If you are wanting a special dinner and are happy with a 30-40 minute drive, Launceston & Devonport have some wonderful eating options. My favourites in Devonport are Drift Cafe - lunch & dinner at the Bluff overlooking the sea - local & organically sourced ingredients. Upstairs is Mrs Jones Restaurant same amazing view stunning food and great service - Tassie food at it's best with the best views. While you're at the Bluff take a walk along the beach and continue around the bluff 15 minute walk and views back to Mt Roland, you may catch the Spirit of Tassie leaving or arriving, a pod of dolphins, and maybe some brave paddle boarders in the water. Good cafes in Devonport are The Laneway, tucked away near the Devonport Regional Art Gallery or Playfish. If you're in Launceston, newly opened Geronimo Bar & Restaurant has a great menu and drinks list. Pierre's is an institution. Black Cow & Stillwater are favourites, Stillwater sits on the Tamar with views to the Gorge. Recommended cafes for coffee and lunch in Launceston are Earthy Eats in the Kingsway. For a table with a view Gorge Cafe & Restaurant is great for lunch or brunch and then take the walk in the Gorge (: Walks 15 minutes walk from Retreat and Harmony will get you to the Meander River - there's a beautiful loop walk around the river, and sculptures are dotted along the way and two foot bridges complete the loop. In Spring time the Cherry Blossom flower - authentic Japanese Cherry Blossom are a welcome sight after the long winter. If you'd like to keep walking there's a delightful walk in The Wild Wood. If you continue on from the caravan park end beyond the caravans, you'll come to the Wild Wood sign, follow this path and it will take you on a loop walk, half the track follows the Meander River and the other side brings you back to where you started. Platypus are regularly seen in the Wild Wood and around the loop walk around the River, the best time for spotting them is in the early evening on dust or sunrise, they are shy creatures, and are often seen when you are inwardly quiet, one will quietly appear like a little log floating on the water - they are magical creatures. Bushwalking We are located close to World Heritage bushwalking, including Liffey Falls 30 minute drive, take the walk to the falls, and for a longer beautiful walk continue on to the bottom carpark following the river and return the same route. We are 1.5 hour drive to Cradle Mountain. Some great short local walks are Alum Cliffs listed in 60 Great Tasmanian walks booklet - if you like walking check this booklet out from the visitors centre. A lesser know walk and perfect for Summer time is Lobster Falls walk - 10 minute drive towards Mole Creek, walk is down hill to the falls and some beautiful huge freshwater swimming pools and home to our endangared Giant Fresh Water Lobsters - perfect on a hot day and enjoy a picnic on the rocks and late evening platypus can be seen, half half walk, the later part of the walk could do with some repair work, a little rocky and some slips, half hour return via same track up hill. Half day walks to the tiers - there are so many, Quamby Bluff, Mother Cummings Peak, Projection Bluff, Lady Lake Hut, and Meander Falls just to mention a few, these are all approximate half hour drive away from Retreat & Harmony, and the walks take half day or full day if you like to take your time and spend time up on the plateau enjoying the views and the botany & fauna. My favourite well known walk in the area is the Walls of Jerusalum. You can do a day walk that will get you to the plateau and stunning views of the walls, if you are very fit you can do a big circuit walk up there and walk up Mt Jerasalum - I've done it all as a day walk, but recommend to spend at least one night up there with your tent, take your time enjoy the magical tarns and the tranquility of this ancient place and the majestic pencil forests. It's an alpine area so you need all your warm layers, wet weather gear and camping stove all year round. Feel free to ask me about walks - I'm a passionate bushwalker so happy to share any info on local walks. Once a year in October/November we host a Craft Fair and 20,000 people descend upon our little town where we showcase our Arts & Crafts and welcome local and interstate artisans to share in our festival. We are home to a String Fest held in March each year and welcome musicians of the Stringed variety to fill the community with music and festivity. Enjoy our community during your stay.
  • Stephanie was a great host and her place was a great retreat even for one night. Picking fresh vegetables from the garden and eggs from the resident chickens was much appreciated. The book collection was amazing but unfortunately there was not enough time! We loved Deloraine and staying here. Thanks Stephanie!

  • Stephanie is a wonderful host with a wealth of knowledge on Deloraine and the surrounding area. A quiet peaceful aura pervades the home and the organic garden . Chickens and ducks add to the atmosphere. Two minute walk to the town centre.

  • What a pleasure it was to have a little retreat and harmony in Deloraine. Stephanie's home is warm and welcoming, the bed is decadent and the treat of gathering one's own salad greens from her wonderful garden cannot be overstated! Deloraine is a hidden treasure and is perfectly suited to a quiet getaway.

  • This was actually the second property that we've stayed at that is owned by L&L and it was just as wonderful as the first! The house was clean and thoughtfully put together and decorated. The views from the house are outstanding and we're bombarded with gorgeous rainbows on a daily basis! This was a perfect place for a family to have a little getaway! We took some of the advice listed in the house information booklet, just like at the first house, and went to some of the listed local "attractions", the berry farm, the cheese factory, etc. We found the Dunorlan/Deloraine area oh so very charming and loved everything about it! Thank you L&L for yet another fantastic Airbnb experience! You're doing everything right! :)

  • A very nice welcome to the property, with the fire burning to ensure it was nice and cosy for us. The hosts were very friendly to deal with and offered an early check in. The queen bed was super comfy and all linen and towels etc of good quality. The views were majestic and very calming. Nice and quiet location for some r&r.

  • Right from the start Louise and Levi made our stay a pleasure. Their communication was outstanding. Their little cottage is perfectly located for a secluded getaway and easy to find with Louise's simple directions. Oh and the view, I must mention the view! The cottage has everything you need to prepare your own meals. The lounge is spacious and the wood burner keeps the cottage nice and cosy. The main bed is snug and warm. Check out the great DVD collection, plenty to keep you entertained.

The cottage was well kept and clean, with a beautiful wood heater and cosy balcony and well stocked kitchen. Great views, quiet and relaxing getaway as promised. Location is wonderful, near to amenities, supermarkets and attractions. Thanks Tim and Pip!

  • We had a wonderful time, with nice hosts and 2 very friendly dogs. Tim was very nice in showing us the cows, and we got surrounded by 200+ cows staring at us. The cottage was cosy at night with lots of stars out the back balcony. And it was easy to lit the fire, like what Tim said, "Just strike a match". A very different but interesting experience for city folks like us.

  • Wonderful location for attending Tascraft in Deloraine. Loved the daily fresh eggs which were just so good! Quite and comfortable after full days on my feet at Tascraft. Thanks for loan of drill which helped unpack and repack my boxes. All request were quickly and totally acted on. Wonderful place and Vicki attentive when needed but never too much.

  • Vicky has been the most wonderful and kind host. I was actually really sad to leave. The bungalow is beautiful and decorated with so much love and little details. She also left lots of food for us, I am sorry we had no time to eat it all :) One evening Vicky even picked us up from a restaurant so we would not have to walk and we had a lovely evening together on the porch. I am so happy I got to know her. I can only recommend to stay in this lovely place. I hope I can come back one day.

  • Our stay at Vicki's place was absolutely perfect and one of the best we have had on air Bnb. Vicki is a fabulous host that greeted us warmly and ensured we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay and even gave us extra gifts which was very sweet. There was an excellent breakfast provided and other snacks that were perfect after a long day walking cradle mountain. The accommodation was very clean, cosy and comfortable and the perfect place to relax after a days trekking. Would highly recommend!

  • Vicki's bungalow was equivalent to a 5 star cabin getaway. Absolutely sensational. Clean, comfortable and homely. Located in a quiet part of Deloraine, only 4 min drive from the main area (restaurants, parks, woolworths etc) . This was a perfect place for a family or couple that want to have a comfortable stay. We loved it and most importantly, we loved the hospitality we received. Vicki and her husband were so kind, caring and attentive. They even put on our fireplace on during the afternoon, so we came back to a warm place. Fridge was filled with refreshing food and the house had so much beautiful art. Only regret was we didn't buy one of Vicki's art pieces. I guess, there is always next time. We highly recommend this place. We loved everything about it.

  • I had a wonderful time at Vicki's lace. I live in Hobart and was taking a course 30mins drive away. Vicki ensured the place was toasty each evening as she lit the woodfire heater, very generous with her time. Also the pantry extremely Errol stocked with goodies and daily muffin with their homegrown blueberries. I'd certainly recommend Vicki's place and only 5 min drive from Deloraine, thanks

  • Really liked the location, right in the woods. Since we reached around 7pm it was pitch dark and felt a bit creepy but the morning was beautiful. A good old house if you want to stay for a night or two on the way while you're traveling.

  • We unfortunately only stayed for one night at Bonnie's place, a great mistake as it is one of the most beautiful places to wake up in the morning. The wooden interior combined with the fire place gives the house a very nice and cosy feeling, whilst beating your mates in a classic game of battleships never fails to entertain. Additionally, Bonnie is very easy to communicate with and made sure we were comfortable and all settled in. Would definitely recommend it to everybody that likes to experience something off the beaten track, and spend some nights in a mesmerising and secluded environment.

Nick and Robyn live close by and will do everything they can to ensure you have a wonderful stay.
Queen beds, a gourmet kitchen, close to restaurants and cafes.
Deloraine is a medium sized country town about 40 minutes drive to the cities of Launceston and Devonport. Surrounded by beautiful scenery and mountains, the area is a drawcard for creative people and there are many artists and artisans in the area many of whom have moved to Tasmania from other States or other parts of the world. It is a colourful vibrant place with a real energy. Don't be surprised if you have an unexplained urge to move here!
  • The perfect weekender in northern Tasmania! When our previous Cradle Mountain accomodation was cancelled due to snowed in roads, Nick personally called to confirm our booking within 10 minutes of making it, thus ensuring our snow weekend was still possible. He gave helpful navigation advice which allowed us to find their studio easily at night in an unfamiliar place. After a weary day of travel, we opened the door to hear soft jazz playing in a warm, super comfortable, luxuriously appointed home. Nick and Robyn's former studio is stylish, elegant and inviting - it's even better than they appear in the photos! We were amazed at how spacious it was yet still warm and relaxing. It's incredibly easy to enjoy the comforts on offer if one wanted a romantic holiday retreat, and just as well suited to being a launchpad to explore the nearby Cradle Mountain region or north Tasmania. For those travelling from interstate - only 1 hour by car from Launceston airport! The views of snow capped mountains from the dining and kitchen windows have to be seen for full effect. We loved our stay and highly recommend The Wearehouse.

The B&B also boasts a very spacious bathroom, huge spa and spacious laundry facilities should you be staying a while.
  • We had a geat time in Deloraine and cradle Mountain. The BnB was lovely, pictures don't do the bathroom justice, the bath was stunning. The warmth of the wood fire (kept going by Sue and Graeme during the day) was a really inviting touch. Great hosts who were very helpful about the local area and even joined us for a chat at the pub across the road. Would definitely come stay here again.

  • We highly recommend staying at Sue and Graeme's place. Like any proper BnB it's frilly and unapologetically whimsical and quirky. Sue received us with a cheese plate and a fire going. She gave us lots of tipps where to go in Tassie, made us a magnificient hot breakfast and just made us feel at home. The house has everything you need plus some luxurious extras like the spa bathtub which is heaven after a day of hiking in the winter weather. You can find cheaper accomodation in the area but this place is worth every cent.

  • Great place, heaps of room, very comfortable, very kitch, and of course, great hosts. Your hospitality was very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Thanks for helping make our weekend in Deloraine fantastic!

  • Only stayed for two nights, but definitely enjoyed our trip to Deloraine. Sue and Graeme were lovely hosts, very friendly and communicative. We loved all the detail and personal touches around the place, especially the yummy fresh baked bread for breakfast. Definitely a nice place to get away from it all and enjoy the beauty of the area.

    Jessica2016-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful luxurious and fun place to stay. Sue and Graeme were amazing hosts. It's was so cosy and warm and the bathroom was fabulous. Breakfast was above and beyond, Sue is an amazing cook! See you on our next trip around Tas!

  • Excellent accommodation, very friendly hosts and a great breakfast to top it all off!

  • Big spacious rooms and the best location in town. Sue was/is fantastic, we always came home to a lit fire which was so welcome after 3 days hiking in the cold! Plenty of complimentary snacks, comfy beds, great host, fantastic value and a charming old house full of history. Wouldn't have changed a thing +++

Your home away from home in the village of Deloraine - perfect for exploring Cradle Mountain, the Tamar Valley wine region and the best of northern Tasmania.
Built in 1853 as Deloraine's first flour mill the house is listed on both the Tasmanian and National heritage registers as a building of significance. The private garden features an intimate green courtyard, chooks, organic vegie garden and home orchard (delicious fresh fruit in season). There is an additional toilet downstairs. The beds are fitted with electric blankets. Guests are welcome to play the grand piano by arrangement, but no drinks on the piano please. We are a GLBTI friendly home and say 'YES' to marriage equality. Because of stairs we are unfortunately not suitable for guests with limited mobility or small children.
Deloraine is a warm and welcoming community with an interesting mix of residents from all over the world. Many creative people choose to settle here. There are often performing and visuals arts events to enjoy. The town centre is a safe, short and easy walk away.
  • Lisa and Bruce are such warm and lovely hosts. Their house is huge and Lisa has put in a lot of work into her garden, and Bruce is such a talented musician. We had a wonderful stay with Lisa and Bruce and love their dog, Chester too!! Don't hesitate to book and have a stay with Lisa and Bruce. You can be sure of warm hospitality and a very comfortable stay. It is highly recommended!!

  • Bruce and Lisa are great hosts with a beautiful home. Deloraine was a surprise in itself and staying in this converted flour mill added to the experience. The room is spacious and the location is a short stroll from the centre of town.

    Sim2015-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • On arrival we received a very warm welcome from our hosts. They concisely explained details that would assist our stay.

    Anne2015-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • Deloraine is full of gorgeous architecture, such as Clayton's Mill. Really beautiful building inside and out, with lovely views from the upstairs bedrooms across the town. Lisa and Bruce were easy to communicate with leading up to our visit, very relaxed about our arrival time and are both friendly chatty people. The rooms were very comfortable with a lovely big bathroom (and bath) and we were welcome to share the lounge space whenever we wanted and were shown around the back yard which has fruit trees and a lush vegetable patch. Our hosts gave us plenty of information about where to eat in Deloraine and what time the restaurants closed, and we had a great meal at a the Empire Hotel within walking distance of the Mill. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone who likes historic architecture, socialising and feeling part of a working household.

  • The beautiful brick house is located in a peaceful village. Lisa & Bruce are very friendly! This trip was a great experience unforgettable for me.Thank U! ^-^

    민형2015-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa & Bruce gave us quite useful directions on how to get there and on arrival an excellent orientation to the Historic Claytons Mill lodging itself. This included a walk around the productive garden and complete tour of the accommodation as well as a personal introduction to their lovely companion dog Chester. The relaxed explanation of the necessary house rules and their warm welcome immediately allayed our nervousness at being first time Air B&B guests.

    Amanda2015-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Staying with Lisa and Bruce was like staying with family. Communication ahead of our visit was brilliant, and Lisa provided us some great advice on walks to do in Tas, which we followed before our arrival. We were welcomed with great warmth and friendliness into their beautiful home. We enjoyed a great evening together over a wonderful home-cooked meal which has been the food highlight of our trip! Lisa, Bruce and their daughter Holly were lovely, genuine people and really interesting to get to know. The room was perfect - spacious, an incredibly comfy bed, tea and coffee facilities and our own bathroom. We wish we could have stayed longer!

  • We had such a wonderful stay with Lisa and Bruce for two nights. We spend our wedding anniversary here and I'm so glad we did! The room is so comfortable and peaceful. Lisa and Bruce are very warm and welcoming. We had so many great conversations and could've definitely stayed longer!

  • We loved our stay at Silverbirch cottage, what a shame we found the games cupboard on our last day. Will definitely be back for some quality time by the fire

  • I loved staying in this house and wish I could have stayed longer than a single night. A beautiful house, full of charm and character. Well furnished, very comfortable, and the decor was wonderful. The beds were comfortable and warm, the main bathroom was gorgeous (my kids loved the bath), and the location was perfect. If I'm ever back in Deloraine, I will most certainly be looking at this place first to book. Absolutely beautiful.

This modern studio apartment in a Heritage listed building is right in the centre of Deloraine. It is only 2 doors from Nelly's Cafe. The kitchen is basic with a microwave, kettle, toaster and a frying pan. No food is provided. You may love the free and unlimited WiFi! The Meander River and park are only 2 minutes walk away. It is ideally suited to two guests but the second bed can be set up if needed. Both beds are in the one room. Once the sofa bed is up there is not much room left!
As I've said above, please be aware that for more than two guests, it will be a bit of a squeeze! There are about ten stairs to climb as well. It is in the centre of town but the apartment is out the back with beautiful mountain views.
Deloraine has a number of art shops very close nearby. There are also hotels, cafes and other take away food shops nearby. It is only a 10 minute drive to Trowunna Wildlife Park with its Tasmanian Devils.

  • Deloraine is a lovely little town and a great base to go out exploring. If you are a couple or single looking for somewhere right in the heart of the town, literally 1 minute walk to cafe, ammenities etc this is the place. The flat is clean and very well equipped. Great host. Will be back.

    Tim2017-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • The flat was great. Very modern & clean with great aircon. Only downside was that there was no stove or oven which I didn't realise (was hoping it was hidden in the corner of the kitchen area that you can't see on the photos). Only a microwave & toaster so could only do very limited cooking. Considering we were there at Christmas and that all the cafes were closed this wasn't ideal. Other than that the flat was really nice and an ideal base to explore the region. We didn't meet Pat but communication was very easy.

    Priscilla2016-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great place. Hidden. Good view from the windows. Close to the shops and restaurants Great pub across and down the road. Good deli up the road for lunch. Snug and cosy.

Clean and crisp sheets and bathrooms sparkling. tea and coffee from the lovely verandah on the top floor and a sweet resturant too. Mark let me know in advance that a band would be playing on Saturday night so I had choice about coming or not which was very gracious. thanks Mark

We love sharing our bush home and our simple healthy lifestyle, and showing people the good things Tasmania has to offer. We live in a stone and timber house on 55 acres of Wildlife Reserve, only 7 klm from Deloraine - on the way to Cradle Mountain, and 45 minutes from the Devonport ferry.
We are only 7 minutes up a country road from Deloraine, and central to the north of Tasmania with both Launceston and Devonport 45 minutes away. Deloraine is a beautiful town, and the gateway to some good bushwalking. Cradle Mountain is a 1 hour 45 minutes country drive from here. We have the woodfire going in winter, cosy and warm. The guest room is warm and light, north facing with French doors to outside, next to a country kitchen. You are welcome to use the kitchen or barbecue to cook meals yourself. We have a three person Far Infrared sauna available for a small fee, towels for sauna and shower (or hot bath) are supplied. A TV is provided with many movies for guests to watch in bed at night. We love a good conversation, we love people. But we also respect people's need for privacy, and the need to relax and enjoy the quiet. We also offer alternative health therapies - detox Far Infrared saunas, healthy eating programs/weight loss, and Therapeutic Essential Oil massages. We are 'alternative' in our lifestyle, so we don't have a microwave or a dishwasher, and are fairly down to earth and natural. We do love our uncomplicated life here, and love to share what we have with our guests - and do enjoy hearing their stories and ideas on life in return. This whole area has a great community spirit, with a large population of artists and craft people living locally. Deloraine is a lovely place to spend some time, but is not far to Cradle Mountain and the Marakoopa Caves or other day trips. There are lots of short day walks in the area and interesting places to visit. This is also a chemical free household, suitable for those with allergies or chemical sensitivities etc; we drink and shower in Tasmanian rainwater (no fluoride or chlorine) and use no chemicals to clean, and our food is mainly organic local produce. We hope you will come and enjoy our simple 'down to Earth' lifestyle.
The local town of Deloraine is friendly and pretty, with river walks and ducks to feed. There is a good variety of shops and places to eat out, the 4 hotels do good meals.
  • Molly along with Matt and Tanya welcomed us to their home, which is very privat yet not that far from Deloraine. We didn't use the full room or movies offered on the TV in the room, but slept well in the bed with a wonderful european doona. It was good to see people living a very natural life, with good homemade bread for breakfast. I particularly enjoyed talking good old fashioned natural ways of living and preparing food. Tanya - look up 'Tutti Frutti saftkoger' on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) and see how you can make your own fruitjuices for cordial and jellies.

  • Matt and Tanya provide a somewhat unique and very enjoyable experience in a beautiful bush setting near Deloraine. We spent four nights with them and thoroughly enjoyed many conversations and their passion for healthy living. Our room was comfortable and spacious. We would recommend this to anyone but especially those who are looking to experience rural Tasmania and some engaging company.

  • This was our first experience with AirBNB and it was excellent. Matt and Tanya were very friendly and accommodating hosts and we enjoyed the peace and serenity of the area. Unfortunately our stay was way too short to fully enjoy the experience. Thanks for your hospitality and friendship.

  • Sam and I had a wonderful stay at Matt and Tanyas. We stayed for two nights and our hosts were very accommodating of our plans and made us feel very welcome with a homemade breakfast. Their dog Molly is very friendly and we loved her accompanying us on our walks around the property. As this was my first time using Airbnb I was a little nervous, but we both felt very at home, it was a fantastic first experience. The room was large with a very comfortable bed and tv provided; the shared bathroom is amazing and unique in style. It was nice learning about their relaxed lifestyle and we both liked their approach to healthy living which made engaging conversations.

  • Matt and Tanya are great host! They are very friendly and kind.We are extremely grateful for their concern. We enjoyed to spend the time at their nice home very much.We did BBQ,made a fire outside and cooked dinner. The landscape is also good, quite and peaceful. If you want to escape from hustle and bustle, this is the best place to relax!

    Masayo2016-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • Matt and Tanya were most welcoming hosts, greeting us at the door of their beautiful, double walled stone house. The bedroom is huge with a fold out couch at one end and at the other is a large comfortable bed facing double doors opening into the garden. The house itself was warm and cozy despite the weather. But best of all Matt and Tanya are qualified in scented oil infused relaxation massages which were a godsend after our busy sightseeing schedule. Highly recommended as a unique and value add holiday location.

  • Our young family stayed at Navaisha Cottage for four nights and it has been the best Air BnB accommodation I have stayed at so far. Linda is the perfect hostess. She is knowledgeable, thoughtful, generous and has an eye for detail. Linda is a carer for orphaned joeys and introduced our daughters to the tiny Bennetts Wallaby she was fostering. It was such a memorable experience for us all. The kids also loved collecting eggs in the morning and feeding the very happy chickens. The view of the lake was amazing and we enjoyed watching the native hens, ducks and rabbits from the lounge. The home was warm and clean with all the amenities we needed for our stay. All of our needs (and more) were catered to - Linda provided all the basics for us and made us homemade butter and superb muffins. I highly recommend staying at Navaisha Cottage!

  • Do yourself a favour and BOOK HERE! It may cost a little more than other options in the area but is worth every cent! Rhett and Dina were so friendly and welcoming and all the extra touches of fresh baked bread, local cheeses and port were greatly appreciated. The room was stunning - fitted out in a style that was respectful to the buildings history. The heating worked wonderfully and the selection of DVDs was a lovely touch. Electric blankets and bacon and eggs supplied for breakfast - what more could you want! I would stay here again in a heartbeat it was the pinnacle of accomodation for our tassie trip. Thanks :)

  • Blakes Manor is as much a destination as it is accommodation. Rhett and Dina seem to have expressed their passions for people, history and architecture in this beautiful manor. They greeted us cheerfully with a little history of the place and we were welcomed into our comfortable sumptiously decorated rooms with beautiful local foods: homemade bread, cheeses, local eggs, milk, orange juice, etc. Deloraine itself is a lovely country town, with cafes, art galleries town, situated on the Meander River. There was nothing they could have done to have made the stay more comfortable, enjoyable, informative and entertaining!

    Robin2017-09-26T00:00:00Z

  • We had a lovely time staying with Laura & Ray in Cradle country! It was a unique experience staying in the shearers quarters, a real farm experience. Worth every penny, would definitely stay again next time we attempt the Cradle Mountain Summit Walk! Thanks again.

  • Indeed a very unique experience. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery (the stars at night were just amazing) and especially appreciated the lovely fireplace. Thank you very much!

  • Such a great stay. Laura and Ray were extremely hospitable and lovely and their accommodation was very comfortable. The place has a gorgeous view of the surrounding hills, valley and river. We had a really fun stay sitting by the fire in the common room playing cards with other guests.

  • This place is such an awesome experience I would definitely recommend it to others. The riding tracks are through 7000 acres of some of the most amazing scenery. I am a novice with horses & felt so supported by the workers who rode alongside me all the way.... I hope they realise what a break through this has been for me & I am looking forward to more horse riding in the future. The owners ensure you are matched with a suitable horse. They know the horses very well. At night the horses pop up the the verandah to say hello! The actual accommodation is very basic and could do with a few extra comforts in terms of sleeping.... I would take a sleeping bag & pillow...Just think backpacking...Laura was very accommodating though & found electric blankets to keep us warm. It is a fun way to meet up with others & share the experience. It is very family friendly.. Kids will love this farm experience. Thank you guys this has been a highlight of my Tassie trip!

Elvenhome Farm and Cottage offer an eco-holiday experience, located close to the historic township of Deloraine. Hand built and cultivated for over twenty years, we are a Bio-Dynamic farm employing Permaculture design principles in both house and gardens. The farm showcases a diversity of environmentally sustainable living. Our unique self-contained cottage features bamboo floors and artisan crafted Blackwood windows. There are two bedrooms, comprising of a Queen bed suite and the second having comfortable twin bunks. The separate dining and living areas have a warm and spacious feel. A fully equipped kitchen is stocked with continental breakfast provisions and seasonal farm produce will be available for you to sample. A sun drenched patio is the perfect place to enjoy magnificent views and bird life. The farm is nestled into native bushland. The pre-existing clearing of five acres has been transformed into orchards, kitchen gardens, animal runs and structures for the home and visitor accommodation. A substantial orchard of fruits, nuts and berries, along with a vegetable garden, milking goats and laying hens provide plentiful supplies of produce year round. Within walking distance you will enjoy activities including swimming, fishing, bush walking and birdwatching. Farm Workshops in sustainable living are available daily. See website for details. Environmental Initiatives Elvenhome Farm and cottage have been designed according to an understanding of the need for harmony in the landscape and for the health and wellbeing of all its inhabitants. By drawing on architectural knowledge of the golden ratio in building design, and using the wisdoms of a feng shui master, the shape of the cottage began to take form. The cottage design allows for the use of recyclable and renewable building materials resourced in a sustainable manner. Local craftsmen and artists have collaborated to bring the vision into reality. Passive solar design and orientation contribute to a minimal need for heating and cooling systems. Solar energy was used throughout the building process to power all trade tools. It continues to be the main power source for the entire property. Extensive water harvesting is made possible with large rainwater storage tanks and a spring fed dam to supply all water needs. Composting toilets further reduce water consumption. All waste water is filtered on site for irrigation of perennial tree crops. With this in mind, all soaps, shampoos and detergents are environmentally friendly, as they are distributed back into the farm system. Hot water needs are provided for by a combustion stove in the main house and an instant gas hot water system in the cottage. Evacuated tubes will be installed in the near future to further reduce energy use and ultimately the carbon footprint . All recyclable materials are separated and distributed to the local recycling centre. Signage is in place to educate guests about the need for appropriate methods of recycling. Permaculture principles are incorporated throughout Elvenhome Farm. Importance has been given to the placement and relative location of many elements supporting one another. Available biological resources are used according to the energy cycling principle. For example, fruit trees produce apples that feed our guests. The apple waste is fed to the chickens and the apple tree prunings are fed to the goats. Both the chickens and goats produce eggs and milk, to nourish our guests, and manure for garden and orchard, therefore the energy cycle continues and forms a closed loop system. Over twenty years of observing the patterns and cycles of nature within the farm allow for continual improvement in its sustainable permanent agriculture. Bio-Dynamic practices are used for the health and wellbeing of the animals, plants and humans on Elvenhome Farm. Each season, Bio-Dynamic preparations are applied to enhance the farm system. 'As above, so below,' is a simple understanding of the greater natural forces at play in our everyday lives. The cottage is one component of the whole farm. It was primarily built for guests with a thirst for learning about an ecologically sustainable lifestyle. A series of structured workshops are available to guests while staying at Elvenhome farm. These include: Farm Tour A farm walk that demonstrates the Bio-Dynamic and permaculture design features of Elvenhome farm. Growing Healthy Vegetables Seasonal selections, crop rotation, companion planting and other ways to get the best out of your kitchen garden. Composting and Worm Farming Learn the art, science and mystery of creating lush compost and enlisting worms to revitalise your garden soil. Sustainable Building Design A Walking tour and explanation of the sustainable design features of Elvenhome Farm and cottage.
  • We loved our short stay at Graham's home. It was a wonderful relaxing few days with all the amenities we needed... Including a lovely continental breakfast with fresh eggs. Graham was away when we were there but Sarah and Ellie were great. They stocked the firewood everyday and took the kids to feed the animals and the chickens. I can highly recommend Elvenhome as a place to drop out for a few days.

  • We had a lovely time on the farm. Stayed one extra night! Graham was a generous host and made sure we were comfortable. We loved the home made jams provided for breakfast and learning about the farm! Next time we will plan a visit in harvest time :) thanks again!!

  • My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed Graham's charming cottage (beautifully built and clean) in a lovely farm setting. The kitchen was well stocked with breakfast supplies and the best eggs we have ever come across! Thanks, Graham, for sharing your tranquil place with us and we hope to be back!

  • We had a good stay at Elvenhome! Thanks Graham for providing the clean place & the fresh farm produce!

  • Our stay at Elvenhome was wonderful. Graham and his WWOOFer,Eri, were super friendly and provided everything we needed. Graham was happy to show us around his farm and explain all the different elements. The property is beautiful with great views; it's peaceful and tranquil and there's plenty to see including a nice old goat and a friendly cow. The cabin is modern and comfortable with everything you need. The bed is comfy and the wood stove kept us perfectly toasty. The breakfast provisions were delicious - nothing like fresh milk and butter. There's so much to do in the surrounding area you'll need more than our paltry two night stay. Stay a week, stay a month!

  • What an amazing way to get out of our busy city life's! Tasmania as a trip destination is summarised as a "big farm" what else can you get from Tassie... Great cheeses, milk, fruits, veggies, beef, lamb... I had an amazing time and nothing better than staying at Graham amazing place so close to nature and his wonderful concept of how human and nature should "work" together! Best apples on Earth... Lucky little dog so friendly.. I had super chilled days with my family... What a bless!!

  • My wife and I really loved our stay in Elvenhome Eco Farm: The greenery, the birds visiting, the farm animals, the friendly and funny dog, the view of the fruit trees loaded with fruit, the quietness of the area, the view of the nearby mountains. The cottage, so comfortable and beautifully built. We also loved the wood work in the kitchen, furniture, bathroom, etc. Very nice place to stay, with the kitchenware and things needed to operate and feel well. And last but not least, the host, Graham, such a nice guy, friendly, generous (he shared some beautiful and super tasty fruits with us, and left some great things in the fridge for our consumption), and with a contagious energy in regards to the work he has done in his farm. It was fantastic to learn about how and why he built and developed things in certain way in his farm. I definitely got value out of what he explained to me and got some tips to implement in my urban backyard :) Also, the surroundings are very nice, with some great views in the vicinity when driving around. A romantic getaway in the countryside. Surrounded by breath taking countryside, Old WesleyDale was built in 1831. Stay in the self contained cottage set within beautiful English style gardens.Pick from the potager and enjoy fresh eggs from the hens.
  • Amazing little piece of country paradise. This place ticked all the boxes with fantastic hospitality, a warm ambient fire lit on arrival, awesome kitchen and bathroom amenities and beautiful gardens and fields to walk around. Even in winter we still found it lovely with all the fallen leaves. It was lovely to have the company of all the fury and feathered creatures especially "Monty" and "Molly" who accompanied us on our walks. Highly recommended.

  • This is a wonderful, cosy heritage cottage with top quality comforts and beautiful, serene garden surroundings with plenty to do and see in the local area. A great base for relaxing and exploring with attentive hosts Deb & Scott aswell as Monty the playful dog, cat, chooks and macaws!! We would love to return and see the gardens when in full bloom. Thanks for sharing in the delights of your home and much admiration for all the work you have put into it. Nick & Sam

  • Deborah, her husband and their chooks made us feel very welcome. The grounds were beautiful, the cottage was ideal, the air was clean and the fire was a delight.

  • We had a beautiful stay at the heritage cottage. Very comfortable perfect for our weekend away in Tasmania. Thank you for having us Deborah!!

    Ella2016-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Deb and Scotts place is sensational! We knew straight away on the drive in to the property that we were in for a treat. The renovated estate is immaculately kept and being greeted (and given our own private tour of the property) by Monty the dog was an added bonus. The cottage is a lovely place to stay. Beautiful, clean with the fire place already lot when we arrived. The breakfast ingredients were appreciated too! We will recommend this place to our friends at home!

    Anna2016-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Deborah was there to receive us when we arrived. Monty her dog was so friendly too! We were slightly apprehensive at first about this place as the pictures looked too good to be true. But we got a great pleasant surprised when we drove down the long driveway and entered through the garden. every bit looked just as good, otherwise better, than what the pictures showed. Breakfast supplies were all richly provided for, and the room was kept warm despite a long rainy night because of the fireplace and heater. Thank you Deborah for making my honeymoon such a beautiful and memorable one. :)

  • We had a wonderful time in this lovely cottage! Very quiet and cosy place, you'll have a great rest in Mole Creek. The garden is absolutely beautiful, we really enjoyed walking in, especially in the evening (beautiful colours!). Don't miss the Trowunna Wildlife park, just next this accomodation. Deborah was very nice and we really appreciate all the small attentions she left for us. Our only regret : to stay only one night!

    Francois2016-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • A gorgeous cottage near even more beautiful gardens. Deborah was warm and welcoming and gave us all the necessary information we needed. The cottage was clean, spacious, and had plenty of amenities. It's located a short drive from places to eat, but also has plenty of kitchen utensils if needed. I would definitely recommend this beautiful place to stay!

  • My partner and I found Lyn's "cosy cottage with spectacular views" to be exactly as described. A beautiful secluded rural location but still within relaxed and easy country driving to numerous attractions and facilities. We were here for some bush walking which unfortunately we couldn't complete due to flood damaged road closures, however Lyn was quick to offer her local knowledge of alternate walking options and as a result we came to discover more of the picturesque area than we would have otherwise. We would definitely recommend this accommodation and location.

    Giovanni2016-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this place from the moment we arrived. A country cottage in an idyllic country setting with rustic charm. Very quiet and homey with beautiful surroundings. Every comfort was catered, including fresh homemade bread. We highly recommend staying here and hope to return ourselves one day.

  • Engadine Cottage is a perfect base for anyone wanting to explore the area. Nice and comfortable, with great country views in all directions. The goats are super playful which was fun, and it doesn't get much better than fresh bread on arrival! We had an issue with the Wifi not working, and within 5 minutes Lyn and Haydn had come to fix it - can't get much better than that.

    Steven2017-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Had an amazing time at Lyn's cottage at Mole Creek. The location was perfect as was Lyn's thoughtfully laid out cottage. The goats were curious and friendly and we had a great time. Only regretting that we had only one night to spend in the cottage.

    Ankur2016-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Our family had a lovely stay here. Our two kids love feeding the goats and Sheeps! The apples from the orchard is delicious. The cottage is spacious and clean. The wifi is perfect after we lost connection for a day at Cradle mountain. Highly recommend for families as it is within easy access to the caves and wildlife park!

    Winnie2016-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Lyn's cottage. We were only there for 1 night but all of us wish to stay longer. The cottage was very cosy, clean and well appointed with everything we needed. The surroundings was beautiful and those goats were very gentle and friendly. We felt sense of return to nature. Lyn was a really hospitable host and the handmade bread was awesome.
