Devon Holiday Rentals

Just booked in Devon

This huge 5 bed, all en-suite, beautiful home is full of incredible features and heaps of space! Large garden, ample parking and access to miles of woodland adventures. Perfect for get togethers in a truly stunning location. Finished with luxury touches, we hope you have a very special getaway.
Spring Cottage is situated in the heart of idyllic Devon countryside and offers seclusion, comfort and an ideal place to explore from. It is just 3 miles from a range of stunning coastline and has breath taking walks from the back door. This beautiful, oak framed home has 5 generously sized, en-suite bedrooms; a huge, open plan living and dining area with bespoke kitchen and huge range cooker; as well as a second large lounge and separate utility complete with steam room, so there is endless space for larger groups. Every room reveals the craftsmanship of the property through the natural, uncovered oak beams - as shown in pictures. Both the master bedroom and bedroom 3, benefit from double height ceilings which allow you to view the intricate oak structure. Natural stone complements each of the 7 bathrooms, including the steam room. The house is the perfect place to get away, relax and experience all that Devon has to offer. If it is solitude and seclusion you're after, then the large garden which surrounds the house offers complete and utter privacy. For those wanting a little more excitement, the thriving seaside towns of Budleigh and Exmouth are just minuets away and the Cathedral City of Exeter is easily accessible.
The neighbourhood is pretty outstanding as our only neighbours are the trees and animals which live on Woodbury Common (and our own chickens, of course). East Budleigh has a beautiful village pub which is cracking value and great grub. Immediately from the back garden you can enter Woodbury common with is a woodland area where you can walk and adventure for hours on end. It's simply beautiful out there, and on our door step. (I'm lucky, I know!)
  • Great house for large groups, beautifully finished with accommodating hosts!

  • A beautiful house in a beautiful location. Very serene place - quiet, with plenty of space both inside and outside to relax and entertain. Only a short drive to Budleigh Salterton with its lovely beach and coastal walks

  • This is a great house, lovely spot in the country, very comfortable and smart looking inside.

    Nicholas2017-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely location far enough out of the way to feel secluded but near enough to the local town and pubs to avoid feeling cut off. Thorougly recommend to groups of friends who want a weekend out of the city.

    Tom2017-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very easy arrival. Amazing cottage photos don't do it justice. Buckets of space and many bathrooms avoiding long waits in the morning. The chickens are very friendly too.

  • Fabulous house, plenty of space. Perfect for a large group, everything you could need. We walked to Sir Walter Raleigh but closed continued down the road to The Rolle, due to the heavy rain the lovely landlord gave us all a lift home! Shaun was great, would highly recommend.

    Madeleine2016-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • Spring Cottage is a great place for a group to holiday together. Large amount of communal space in the kitchen, dining and lounge areas - perfect for a large group. Was also spacious enough so that couples with young ones could easily put them to bed without disturbed. Also to note was that every bedroom was large and had an ensuite which was really handy. A beautiful garden with BBQ facilities and plenty of space to run around. Shaun was really easy to get in contact with and responded quickly with any questions.

Mellors Cottage is situated in the beautiful village of East Budleigh, Budleigh Salterton , East Devon. The birthplace of Sir Walter Raleigh Near to Sidmouth,Exmouth, Ladram Bay, Exeter etc. Part of the Jurassic coast with cliff top walks along the South West Coastal path so ideal for a walking holiday.
Well Maintained Cottage with lots Of Character. Sitting Room & Separate Dining Room Adequate Kitchen fully equipped for cooking with crockery, cutlery and a washing machine. Two good sized double bedrooms plus pull out bed on ground floor. The pull out bed is probably best set up in the dining room if required, Lovely light and airy bathroom ,unfortunately at present we do not have a shower, (due to be installed soon). There will be a shower attachment to the taps at present. Ideal if you like a nice relaxing Bath though. There is also a second W/C on the first floor. Gas Central Heating. There is a BT internet router available with BT Infinity tv with the sports package available. Gas stove to living room. We have a small shared access garden to the rear ,it is currently awaiting boundary decisions with neighbour, so is not the most delightful garden at present but clean and tidy.(works to the garden anticipated August 2016). The very pleasant and relaxing Sir Waler Raleigh Pub is next door. Real Ale pub with good food,no duke box or music Very quiet so no noise issues. Definitely worth a visit or two during your stay. The cottage is of Cobb and thatch construction and is from the eighteenth century ,very quaint and unique but not everything is straight level and perfect, and is typical of a country cottage from this era. Some of the decor and fittings and fixtures are old world or old fashioned to match the cottages age and construction and are perfectly adequate.
Beautiful little village 5 minutes from the coast. The village has community shop a 2 minute walk away. Two pubs, The Sir Walter Raleigh and the Rolle Arms. A lovely church and primary school ,typical relaxing village life. The East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is a 5 minute drive away, the landscape is characterised by intimate wooded combes, vast areas of heathland, fertile river valleys and breathtaking cliffs or hilltops. It includes the East Devon section of the Jurassic Coast - England's first natural World Heritage Site - and is a living, working landscape shaped by many centuries of farming activity. Lovely beaches at Budleigh Salterton, Exmouth,Sidmouth and a little farther afield to the east Branscombe,Beer, Lyme Regis and to the south west Dawlish, Torquay,Dartmouth etc. The Jurassic Coast The Jurassic Coast is a Walk Through Time and is only 5/10 minutes away.
  • A perfect base to explore the local area. Comfy and snug, perfect for our family trip.

  • lovely quaint cottage with excellent pub serving good food literally next door.

    tracy2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent cottage with all mod facilities, an easy 5m drive away from Budleigh Salterton and the sea, or 15m drive from Sidmouth, a bigger resort with more shops. We went walking round the coast, some nice walks all around. It's also worth spending a day in Exeter, a nice city with good shopping. Need a car to get out of East Budleigh, but imagine most guests would have driven anyway. Recommended.

The Hayloft has one double bedroom with adjoining shower room. There is a large kitchen diner with woodburner, and an induction range cooker. There is a utility room and bathroom with bath next to the kitchen.A spiral staircase leads up to a mezzanine living room with a sofa bed if necessary.
Budleigh Salterton is a quiet seaside town on the Jurassic Coast. The high street has all the traditional shops, a butcher, fishmonger, baker, chemist and two small convenience stores as well as delicatessens, cafes and pubs. In July we have a classical Music Festival and in September the town is buzzing for the Budleigh Salterton Literary Festival! The nearby village of Otterton boasts a watermill ,gallery and restaurant. Exmouth has a long sandy beach and more traditional seaside entertainment including a river cafe, boat trips , fishing.
  • We spent a week staying in this lovely barn conversion. The accommodation is extremely spacious, very clean and well appointed and easily one of the best AirBnB experiences that we have had. Lesley, Noel and Theo the dog were welcoming and helpful during our stay. The house is a short, pleasant walk into Budleigh Salterton along quite roads and the beach pathway. It's a lovely part of the country and easily accessible for day trips to other E Devon beach locations, Dartmoor and Exeter. The slices of lovely ginger cake set the scene for what turned out to be a great week. We certainly recommend Lesley and Noel's place for visits to Budleigh Salterton.

    Debbie2016-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • I don't think there are words to describe how wonderful our stay in Lesley's was. Everything was clean and tidy. Fresh flowers, bread and strawberries when we arrived.. Everything was perfect. It is a modern house in the countryside, very well decorated. Just 15 min from the town center walking through a beautiful path full of flowers and plants. I would say that in general, it is much better than the photos. The kitchen was very well equipped and new, the bathrooms very modern and spacious. Everything seemed brand new. Lesley and Noel are a lovely couple, they even invited us to a glass of wine during our stay. The town is beautiful at this time of the year, I highly recommend it. We felt like at home. We will definitely come back! Thank you very much.

    Eugenia2016-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • This place was absolutely stunning! We could not rate it highly enough - one of the best places we've stayed on Airbnb. The welcome was so friendly and genuine. We intend to stay again one happy day!

    Patrick2016-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place! Lesley and Noel (and Theo the dog) made us feel extremely welcome and I can't recommend the place enough. A spacious conversion kitted out with modern kitchen and bathrooms just outside a lovely coastal town. We stayed 5 nights and as well as Budleigh Salterton, we visited Sidmouth, Exmouth, Topsham and Beer, all great places only a short drive away. Thank you so much for your hosting!

    Fred2016-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place is an absolute gem. Bigger, comfier, and classier than even the pics make it look. And... the bed was super comfy. And... there were little extras in the fridge and both cake and bread from bakery. And... the hosts were friendly and helpful but not at all intrusive, and the lovely Theo (woof) offered v. nice cuddles. And... the local pub (dog and donkey) is reasonably priced and v. friendly. In short we'd be very happy to stay again. Thanks Lesley.

    Joel2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • The barn is superb and located in a beautiful part of Devon, ideally situated for exploring the coastal paths and local beaches. The barn has everything you need for a home away from home. Lesley was extremely helpful and welcoming and we really enjoyed staying here.

    Nigel2017-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • Clyst Hayes is beautiful. Lesley and Noel are very attentive hosts, who have thought of everything when it comes to their setup. We had a wonderful time relaxing in the accommodation and the garden, not to mention walks around the local area (Budleigh Salterton is very close). We are hoping to return again next year. Thanks a lot, Noel and Lesley!

    Luke2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • An absolute excellent property and hosts. The pictures really don't do it justice, it is large, cosy and beautiful property. The hosts both Lesley and Noel are fantastic and made me and my wife feel incredibly welcome and went the extra mile at every point of the stay. I cannot recommend this listing and the hosts enough, great people and a fantastic place. Go ahead and book you will not be disappointed! :) Thanks again! X

Furnished in a modern style this split level apartment features 2 bedrooms (one double and one twin), fully fitted kitchen and bathroom, beautiful south facing sitting room and small enclosed private garden.

  • We had an amazing stay in Budleigh. 'The hideout' was perfect for our family of 4. We arrived and the apartment was spotless, very well decorated and modern. We really appreciated the welcome goodies when we arrived. Very thoughtful. The location was great, as it was just off the high street with lots of amenities and a short stroll to the beach. One point which others might want to consider is there is no direct parking space outside the property. This did not hinder our stay however as there was a free car park round the corner and we unloaded the car with ease in the short stay bay outside the property. We would definitely stay at the 'Hideout' again, we loved Budleigh and Shauns apartment.

    Alison2016-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • The Hideout was such a perfect little place, placed right in the center of the town and just a 5 minute walk to the beach so couldn't have asked for a better location! The house was beautiful, so clean and tidy and just a perfect size! I'd highly recommend this place to anyone else that wants a nice chilled weekend away! Shaun was also very nice and came and checked in on us once we were settled just to make sure we knew where everything was and make sure we were settled fine!

  • A well presented, clean and fully fitted out apartment, exactly as described. Ideal location for the town and beach. Free car park a short walk away, well lit at night. Fully recommend a stay here.

  • Shaun's place is a terrific apartment in a very central location in charming Budleigh Salterton. It is well equipped and modern, nicely furnished and very clean, with the bonus of great bifold doors that open out onto a sweet little private garden area. The kitchen is equipped with all the essentials including washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, towels, cafetiere, all the pots, pans, cutlery, crockery etc that you could need, tea and sugar. It also comes stocked with kitchen scales and even a great little nespresso machine. Shaun was the perfect host - very easy to communicate with both before and during our stay and happy to answer any questions or provide recommendations. He even prepared for our arrival by putting some fresh milk in the fridge and leaving a few welcome treats out for us. Such a kind gesture and very appreciated! I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great base to explore this stretch of the Dorset coast. Budleigh itself has a lot to offer with a great beach and some lovely pubs, restaurants and cafes to try out.

  • We stayed at Elaine's for a long weekend and it was totally perfect. The house is spacious, sunny and beautifully decorated. The garden is lovely and has spaces to sit and read or to have dinner al fresco. It's only a 2 minute walk to shops, restaurants and the beach. Elaine is lovely and a brilliant host; check in and check out were easy, communications were great and she gave us really useful recommendations for places to go during our stay. Highly recommended!

  • Elaine was a great host, very accommodating to our schedule and gave us a great welcome when we arrived. The home was amazing, absolutely spotless and very very comfortable. The location was perfect as well, right around the corner from beach and high street. We loved our time spent there.

    David2016-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Elaine is the most generous host, providing every comfort at her exceptionally lovely home, well equipped with top quality appliances, kitchenware, bedding, towels and toiletries. There were also some lovely welcoming goodies on arrival which were very well received and thoroughly enjoyed. The house is spacious with a great layout, ideal for everyone to enjoy time together or a little more privacy when required. Extremely well furnished and decorated with wonderful artistic and stylish touches but at the same time so comfortable and inviting so we immediately felt welcome and at home. With 3 TVs and plentiful DVDs, computer games, board games and books, there is everything to keep young and not so young entertained if the weather is unkind. The garden is beautiful and private (safely enclosed which is great if you have children or a dog). Again plentiful seating and tables to take advantage of good weather. The layout of the ground floor flows so well that the garden, conservatory and sitting room complement each other perfectly. We used the conservatory a lot, both as dining room and also it's great for playing board games etc. Having a ground floor loo is a great advantage. Kitchen has everything you could want or need. First floor is very spacious with 2 good doubles and the fantastic master bedroom. Both the main shower room and en-suite are well equipped luxury and a pleasure to use. Location is great - very convenient with shops and eateries within walking distance as is the sea front. Local park as well as the sea front/prom/beach being within easy reach and great for those of us with a dog. Highly recommend the restaurant Bowmers in the High Street which offered delicious food and lovely service - such a shame it was half empty as it deserved to be busier with the standard of food on offer (albeit a limited menu). Also tried Slice of Lyme (just off the High Street towards the sea) which was very good and, again, great service - very glad we booked as they were full soon after we arrived. Our party was 4 adults and one dog and every one of us had a great time, the only drawback for us was that we were only there for 4 nights which just wasn't nearly long enough! Thank you Elaine - hope you'll have us back some time in the future xx

  • The Snook was a lovely home with some nice high tech kit. Elaine was there to meet us and made us feel welcome. The home has a lovely kitchen/dining/lounge with plenty of sitting relaxing furniture it also included a lovely conservatory with a lovely large table (well made)and chairs plenty big enough for all 6 of us this was well used. The garden looked lovely too although in November it was to cold for us to use (shame). The upstairs was well equipped too with 3 large double bedrooms serviced with the master having en-suite which was a lovely walk in shower room there was also a another shower room on the floor. It is also very close to the sea being a 5/10 min walk dependent on your walking pace. Thank you Elaine for the cake and fizz nice touch. Your home is wonderful and my family enjoyed our short time in it.

    Dominic2016-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • Elaine, was the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble and the communication between us was great. On arrival the goodies provided were really appreciated and a lovely welcoming after a long drive. The house was perfect for our family, lost of space for the 5 of us and the garden area was superb too. The neighbour hood was lovely and peaceful, with a great little park at the end of the road for walking the dogs. Lots of lovely little touches, not expect, but most welcome, eg, condiments, spices, juices etc. Good quality furnishings and lovely quality bedding and soft furnishings etc. This is a beautiful home in a beautiful part of Devon. The beach is quite and dog friendly too, and a nice walk up the headland. The creamery is the place to go for Ice cream, the Lime Bistro is also a nice place to eat. Will definitely recommend this house to family and friends if visiting this part of England, and would certainly visit again.

  • We had a lovely stay at Budleigh Salterton and Elaine was an excellent host. We would definitely go back. The welcome was warm and a lot of thought had clearly gone into making the house feel homely. We really appreciated the goodies which Elaine so kindly laid out for us, thank you! The house was lovely decorated, clean and well equipped. Pity the weather was not on our side to enjoy the garden as much. The house is only a few minutes walk from the centre of town and 5 minutes away from the beach. Excellent location. We enjoyed cycling, swimming and exploring the near by towns as well as great hiking trails. Elaine also sent us a list of things to do and see which was very helpful. Thank you Elaine for your lovely hospitality!

    Natasha2016-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing Airbnb find! Highly recommended! Elaine is an absolute gem and her house is out of a design magazine. It has everything you need and require and in a great location. We had an excellent stay. Thank you Elaine!

    Eloise2017-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous house, fabulous location and fabulous host! House is so conveniently located and it is beautifully furnished throughout. Elaine met us on arrival with flowers and bubbles...and a cake. Nothing was too much trouble and the dog was made to feel very welcome. We had a lovely stay and would thoroughly recommend staying here. Thank you Elaine.

  • Thank you Jayne for a wonderful stay in Budleigh. Your flat is in a fantastic position close to the beach and the town and the beautiful walk to Otterton. The rooms were beautifully furnished, very well equipped and comfortable which made our week with you most enjoyable, not to mention the Mediterranean-like weather we had - thank you organising that!!! It was kind of you to check with us from time to time to make sure that everything was OK. We really enjoyed the proximity of the flat to the beach (10 mins walk), which meant that we could stroll down and sit by the sea every evening and even had a champagne picnic one evening as a birthday celebration. We hope very much to see you again.

    Katherine 2017-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Katie’s cottage is the perfect homely base for exploring the Jurassic coast. The photos don’t do it justice as it’s gorgeous. Amazingly light and cosy at the same time. Brilliantly equipped - loved the scones with cream and jam waiting for us. Little things like supplying wood for the fire, toys for the kids, milk and butter and cling film! All made the stay effortless. So close to the beach too and the supermarket and fish and chip shop. You really do have everything you need. Katie was great and popped in to say hi and offer advice on eateries which were well received. Would highly recommend Katie’s cottage and would love to stay there again.

  • Lyndale cottage, hosted by Katie and family is a truly great experience. The cottage is well equipped, even with extra touches like oil, vinegar, tea coffee, milk and butter and a delicious cream tea on arrival. It is tastefully decorated with very comfy beds and very clean. A perfect space for 4. it is perfectly located literally minutes from the town and beach with beautiful walks along the river nearby and along the cliff edge. We enjoyed the local fish bought from the beach and ate in various local eateries. Katie and Jon were very helpful with any local knowledge needed to enjoy Buddleigh and surrounding area. We would recommend Lyndale Cottage and will definitely book again if we come back to this area.

  • Great host. Booking information sent well in advance and all very thorough. Scones on arrival were provided and lovely! We met Katie a couple times and she was lovely, really helpful. Apartment was very much as advertised, very homely and well maintained. We stayed as a couple with a young baby, easily enough space and apartment was baby proof. Didn't feel that we lacked anything.

A stunning Art's & Crafts house less that 1 mile from the Jurassic Coast - Kenwardston is perfect for a large family gathering or active getaway. Luxurious bedrooms, modern open-plan entertaining and dining, and an acre of gardens to explore!
Kenwardston is our home, and we want it to be your home for your stay. In making the bedrooms light, airy and spacious, they are also fitted with every comfort - comfy beds, soft linen and sumptuous soft furnishings. And each room has a view to - either into the garden, or down into the gently sloping valley and beyond to Peak Hill. See pictures of each individual room to get a sense for the layouts and proportions. There are essentially 2 x Double rooms, 1 x Double suite, 1 x Kids room with bunk beds, and 1 x single room that can grow to a double. Past the large stylish modern family bathroom, the flowing stair case from upstairs takes you down either into the large fire-warmed lounge where you can recline and read, play the piano or indulge in your favour music or film. Or you can go into that enormous living room and kitchen. Open and perfect for communal dining, entertaining and of course culinary creations. Our kitchen is appointed with every amenity, large fridge freezer, large Range oven, and of course our large Island - the natural place to come together and eat, drink and share the events of the day. Relax, unwind and enjoy the Bose sound system and TV for your favourite sounds or films - or head outside for a bit of alfresco dining..... The kitchen connects to the garden via large Bi-fold doors that open up to make it an "inside to out" space. The large patio with comfortable dinning set mean outside eating is a must. And when it gets bit chilly, fire up the Chimnea to keep you warm. For those blazing summers days feel free to use the large umbrella for shade. Outside there is a "working" area, and "front lawn". At the rear there is a small orchard with several varieties of apples (if there are any please help yourself!), along with a fruit cage, and veg beds. A log store also completes that area - again help yourself to logs for the Chimnea. The "Front lawn" provides half an acre of gardens for you and the the kids to explore. A large lawn-come-football pitch sits right in front of the house, a small wild area at the top for the kids to explore, a treehouse with adventure slide (careful - it's fast!), and Forest Camp - for those little kids (and big kids) with a sense for outdoor adventure. And when all of that has tired you out, why not relax under the Logia (veranda to you and I), with drink and take it all in.
We live in an amazing area - deemed an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Budleigh Salterton sits at the gateway to the Jurasic Coast. We are less than 1 mile from the famous pebbled beach - The beach has many uses....obviously swimming, and all paddle based watersports, also a haven for fishing. And then relax and have a fire on the beach as well! We are also close to Woodbury Common - fantastic for mountain biking with trails to cater for all abilities, and close to several of Britain's top hills (Peak and Observatory Hills close by) for those who like to don their lycra and take to their road bikes. For the Gastronomic amongst you, Exmouth is 3 miles away and has a vertable feast of top restaurants, cafes, and pubs - not least The Rive Exe Cafe, Michaels and Les Saveurs. The immediate vicinity has the famous Lilly Farm Vinyard within walking distance, the coast path within a 10 minute walk, and the excellent East Devon Golf Club - rated as one of the top clubs in the West Country, just 1 minute away. All within easy reach from Kenwardston.

My place is a short walk to the to beach, the town centre, and the River Otter. You’ll love my place because of the peace, natural beauty, and the quaint seaside town. There is a large king size comfy bed and your own lounge during your stay. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. Family bathroom for your sole use during your stay is just opposite the room Tea and coffee always available, a light breakfast with a choice of cereals and toast is offered
  • I was welcomed by Martin when I drove up to the house. Great accommodation in a really quiet area. Spent two nights and was made to feel most welcome in very clean and perfectly looked after house. Martin even found me after I had left to return clothes that I had left in the wardrobe. I'll definitely go back. Really nice guy. Thank you Martin.

Delightfully spacious and bright accommodation with sea views. A stones throw away from the beach in beautiful Budleigh Salterton. An area of natural beauty on the Jurassic coast. The property consists of 2 large double bedrooms & 1 twin, with a sofa bed in the dining room. All bedrooms have modern en suites, plus a generous family bathroom. There is a spacious yet cosy front room with doors leading out onto a sun terrace, perfect for al fresco dining. Kitchen includes all modern amenities.
Budleigh Salterton remains one of Devon’s most unspoilt and charming towns, containing many interesting shops and other attractions for visitors who want to spend a delightful holiday in the town – or who wish to enjoy a day in the friendly and relaxed atmosphere which so typifies this tranquil and historic retreat from the stress of everyday living. From the gently flowing brook in the high street, museum and friendly cafes, shops and pubs, Budleigh Salterton has so much for visitors to the town. In the surrounding area you will find countryside to coastline, gardens to golf courses, sea trips to guided walks.
  • Fantastic from start to finish! Great communication from Charlotte in the week leading up to our visit. Accommodation it self was immaculate and spacious! Charlotte had left tea, coffee and chocolates in a hamper for our arrival! Just what we needed after a long journey! Would definitely recommend!

  • Great location, very close to the beach and local shops and cafes. Charlotte was an excellent host with good communication and provided a welcome pack on arrival. There is a lovely balcony for alfresco dining when the weather is nice. A great base to explore the Jurassic Coast.

  • Charlottes place was absolutely gorgeous. The situation couldn't be better, just a stroll round the corner to the beach and stunning views. I especially loved having morning coffee on the deck in the sun. Spacious rooms and good kitchen facilities but also a great bistro round the corner too for fresh fish dishes. Would definitely come back Thank you Charlotte

A newly built, architect designed, contemporary four bedroom house with a sedum roof, which is ideally located within a few minutes' walk of the beach and the High Street at Budleigh Salterton, East Devon. The house is very close to the coastal walking path and a large natural park, and it is within walking distance of all other local facilities. It has a very private garden with a feature pond as well as its own garage and separate parking space.
Although single storey the house does have some steps as it's built on three separate levels. There are however no more than three steps each time the level changes, with banisters to assist. There is an outdoor table tennis table which guests can use. The beds are one Superking size, one double and two high sleepers for children (see pictures - they are not recommended by the manufacturers for children under 6 ). There's also a sofa-bed which can either be located in the study or in one of the children's bedrooms. It pulls out to form a double bed, and can be used as a double if left in one of the children's bedrooms. However, if you'd prefer it in the study, i.e. as an extra bedroom, then it will need to remain as a single bed given the size of the room. Please let us know any preference in advance, as it's currently situated in one of the children's bedrooms. The pond only has approximately 6 inches of water in it, but this would nevertheless pose a risk to unsupervised babies or toddlers, which is why we do not recommend it for any so young.
Budleigh Salterton is part of the Jurassic Coast. It has a pebbly beach, but there are sandy beaches in nearby Exmouth. The house is within walking distance of East Devon Golf Club, which is one of the best courses in the area, with spectacular sea views from some of the fairways. There are plenty of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants within walking distance.
  • Had a fantastic week in this amazing home. The house is stunning, very comfortable and perfectly located for both the beach and easy access into Budleigh Salterton's pretty town centre. Gareth's extra touches upon arrival were greatly appreciated, especially the cream scones and cold bottle of fizz. Loved the table tennis too. Highly recommended.

    Dermot2017-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful stay at The Vineyard! From the initial contact, Gareth was great to work with and very responsive to messages. Upon arrival, he gave us a personal tour of the home and walked us through how to use the various appliances and encouraged us to reach out with any additional questions. They had stocked the fridge and cabinets with some staples including milk, clotted cream, jam, scones, cereal and more. We stayed with our children and my daughter loved playing with the toys and they also have a large DVD collection and board games for the guests to use. The location is ideally located a few minutes walk to the beach and just around the corner from the High Street where you'll find pubs, restaurants, grocery, etc. The home was clean and modern and perfect for our first trip to Devon!

    Heather2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • The Vineyard is immaculate and comfortable, and right by the cliff path for seaside walks.

Please watch out for the car park behind the house I got a ticket despite using the app to pay for parking. There is also very little mobile reception in the area. Nic provides Wi-fi which is great. This 200 year old thatched cottage is situated facing the village Green. Exeter, Sidmouth, Budleigh Salterton, Exmouth, Dartmoor, Exmoor, the sea and rivers and valleys of Devon are all within easy reach. The cottage is cosy with all the modern conveniences with a pretty garden. Yards away is a working Mill which is 1000 years old with an excellent bakery and cafe. Dogs are welcome but the garden and cottage has uneven surfaces and steps, not really suitable for guests with mobility problems.

We aim to beat the price you will be offered by Haven directly, plus you know exactly which caravan you'll be staying in and its location on the park. Entertainment passes must be purchased yourselves on arrival at the park to access facilities. For details of costs, please ask. Without passes, access is restricted to the beach, the Spar, Starbucks, and the South Beach Cafe, but there is plenty to do within a short drive/bus ride if you want a different type of break.
Sandy Bay is a beautiful location, a few beaches in walking distance via the south west coastal paths, and when the tide allows. Not forgetting Devon Cliff's private beach. Exmouth is a short drive/taxi ride away (or bus at certain times of the day) and has shops, bars, restaurants, nightclubs, miles of great beach, watersports and kids activities. Budleigh Salterton is another short drive away, or you can walk it from the coastal path that you can pick up 5mins from our van - here you'll find a pretty shingle beach, and more quaint shops and tea rooms.
  • We had a fantastic time at Gemma's caravan - beautiful views, very clean and our hosts were very helpful and communicative. We didn't use the complex but my children loved the beach! Thoroughly recommend!

  • The caravan was in excellent order and as described. It was clean and well appointed. The site was excellent, great on site facilities and close to many attractions and fantastic walks with wonderful sea and rural views. I would certainly consider staying here again and the caravan was perfect for our needs.

  • We arrived to a very clean and comfortable caravan that was just as the listing said. It rained very heavily all day on arrival day and whilst I would have liked the central heating of previous caravans, the extra heaters provided quickly did their job. Having a 22 month old and a 4 month old with us we really appreciated the high chair stored at the van as it helped my already laden car! The toy box was also a lovely addition. The beds were really comfy, which is not always the case in all caravans. We refused to pay the £30 each for passes but still managed to go to the amusements and watch the football by getting in there a little earlier. Haven certainly charge a ridiculous amount for these. My only other gripe is walking back later in the dark. Haven needs to install better lighting along the footpath. My advice is to just take a torch. We visited Wildwood at Escot and the Otter and Butterfly Sanctuary in Buckfastleigh, well worth the day out. Krispies in town do a lovely fish and chip supper. The best meal though is to be had at The Beacon Vaults. Everything is cooked fresh and is of an exceptionally high standard all served with the warmest of welcomes. We will definitely return to this caravan as we are delighted with not only the caravan but the friendliness of my chats with Gemma our host.

  • The caravan was very clean and comfortable. The site is in a good position as a base for Budleigh Salterton (about a 10 minute drive away) which is exactly what we wanted. Although we didn't have time to use the Site facilities, the site itself was very well maintained. Good value and would use again without hesitation.

  • The host canceled this reservation 4 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

  • Beautiful place. Loved every day spent there. Very close to beach. The caravan itself was nice and clean. Wish we had more holidays to stay longer. We would love to come back again. Highly recommended.
