“Get a creamy (soft serve) made with real maple syrup, watch a video (ones tailored specifically for kids and one for adults) about how maple syrup is harvested and made, buy gifts, play on the playground set, sit out and watch the beautiful view, and feed the goats some grass. ”

“If there's a residency happening, VCFA has a great selection of art and concerts open to the public! The music composition program has free concerts nightly during its residency in the first week of February and first week of August. “This place just opened. Owned by Crystal who owns Kismet on State Street. If you like super healthy, delish food for breakfast and lunch, this is a must. My favorite is the turmeric latte and the kale salad. Amazing. Order ahead for a picnic or hike. ”

“Walking along this road is the best way to enjoy all the local nature. You will pass two horse farms and several friendly neighbors. You are also walking alongside the river which means ducks, geese, herrings, deer and wildflowers. Although the road is quiet the occasional car will come flying around the corners so if with children keep them close by. ”

“A general store with a great beer and wine selection! They have terrific home cooked breakfast (think fresh egg/bacon on english muffin) and deli options. Good self serve coffee (free on Mondays), and a variety of food and pet items, including fresh fruits and vegetables and local food products. A couple of small cafe tables if you want to eat in. It also happens to be a full hardware store.”

“The best local food around. BYOB is nice - a very tiny place with a lovely atmosphere where the head chef and owner also greets and seats you. We suggest reservations!”
