Pizza Place
$$
“Some of the best pizza the San Diego way. Another great spot to eat before hitting the Gaslamp area as the cocktails and wine selection are also top notch. ”

Burger Restaurant
$$
“San Diego's iconic burger joint! If you like fat, juicy, and a little messy burgers, check it out. Downtown is about 10 mins from my spot. They shakes are bomb too!”

Lounge
$$
“At 22 stories, ALTITUDE is the highest open-air rooftop bar in the area, which means you’ll have better views of the city here than anywhere else. In addition to the bird’s eve view of the city, ALTITUDE’s location next to Petco Park also means you can catch a free ball game, which -- given how godawful the Padres are -- is the perfect price. The bar rarely has a cover, but it does have a dress code, so don’t show up dressed like you just rolled out of bed and you should be good.”

Gastropub

“Great burgers and even better cocktails. There's a speakeasy in the back if you call ahead of time for a reservation. It's called Noble Experiment. ”

Music Venue
$$
“This bar is great as the night gets rolling. Show up early for a free cover and a chance to line dance, or get there in the thick of the night to get your dance on. Short bar lines, tons of space, and a great balance between a country bar and standard club. Usually has live music”

“Solid bar, consistent food, before or after the game. Ideal year round though because you know what you're gonna get and there's plenty of space for everyone. ”

“I believe the best steak place in San Diego. However, really bad idea to go with car if baseball game is being played at home (it is close to the park). But worth the effort. ”
