Museum
“Fregatten Jylland A great experience on Fregatten Jylland With 102 metres from bowsprit to stern, 44 cannons and 57 metres to the top of the masthead, Fregatten Jylland (the Frigate Jutland) is an experience with both room and entertainment for the whole family. The exhibition hall provides the opportunity for immersion in the ship’s very interesting history, and aboard the ship you can experience it full speed ahead when the museum’s guides show and explain how the drama unfolded aboard the big warship, which later became both the royal yacht and summer holiday digs for school children from the province. Today, the ship is well-restored and ready to receive its guests in Ebeltoft, just as fine and well-kept as on the May day in 1864 when the ship and crew met their enemies at Helgoland. For the museum’s guests, there are lots of opportunities to do things, even trying and experiencing life on the seas more than 100 years ago: - Help load a 30 pound muzzle-loading cannon and remember to hold your ears during the cannon show. - Go on a sailing tour with the Frigate’s old auxiliary boat “Barkassen” on Ebeltoft Bay. - Go with the climbing instructor 23 metres up in the rigging and see the ship, the town and the bay from above. - Try your strengths against Kalle Krudt’s treasure map, the Discharge Book, the interactive games of the exhibitions and the interesting historical crafts such as sail trimming and rope-making. - NEW THIS YEAR – go on a cruise with Europe’s Father-in-Law, King Christian IX, and his large family. The exhibition opens in summer 2016. ”

“Glasmuseet Ebeltoft signatures Stories about what a small number of locals with the right inclination and focus can accomplish are presented for you at the harbour in Ebeltoft. Here, glass artist Finn Lynggard and managing director Erling Rasmussen of Kvadrat, a leading manufacturer of design textiles, worked together closely in the 1980s to bring into being an international museum for modern glass art. Today the Glass Museum in Ebeltoft is recognised globally, and is the only museum of its kind. ”

Food
“Taste experiences Ebeltoft Gårdbryggeri At the Ebeltoft Farm Brewery in Western Denmark we produce craft beer and fruity sodas. The point of everything we produce has always been to create great taste and interesting flavours using whatever is necessary to achieve these goals. A big part of what we do is experimenting. We are constantly engaged with trying out new flavours and creating new tasts for future products. Before being launched all of our products has been through a testing period where we refine the taste and flavour, making sure that everything is just right. Our Sodas To our mind a soft drinks needs to be more than simply a cold refreshment. Like a good craft beer or a nice wine, we believe a fruity soda can be a delicious drink to be enjoyed on special occassions or as a non-alcoholic alternative on a night out. Surrounded by scenic green woods and with a view across the ocean, the fresh furtile atmosphere surrounding the Ebeltoft Farm is what we try to create a taste of in our sodas. In every bottle of soda we use plenty of whole fruits and berries as well as fresh herbs and spices in order to bring about a delicate reminder of the nature and wildlife of fields and forests. All our sodas have the simple base recipe of clear water from the Danish underground, loads of whole fruit, and a bit of cane sugar and carbonation. Our Beers As a small craft brewery we spent a lot of time experimenting with our beer flavours. As the Danish seasons change, so does our mood and the type of beer we feel like drinking. For an up to date status of which kind of beer we are currently engaged with please visit our blog or contact the brewery. ”

“Restaurant Moment Along Ebeltoftvej, as a neighbor of the sustainable village of Friland, Restaurant Moment opened on May 1, 2016 with a completely specific approach to the ingredients, the restaurant tries to give each guest the greatest taste experience that can be obtained from fresh and sustainable vegetables and herbs. As a guest you can choose between menus with a different number of servings and corresponding drinking menus, as shown on the website. Our gastronomy is based on cooking from the bottom of the season's raw materials, whining butter, jam, salt and fermentation based on what we can get around us. We are strongly focused on what we have between the hands of our immediate local areas, and therefore, dishes may change and completely change from day to day. On the drinking side, we serve both exquisite natural wines produced as clean as possible and self-produced beverages of ancient fermentation cultures. The serving is personal and relaxed in aesthetic and atmospheric setting. In summer, outdoor seating is offered in the production garden, where guests are surrounded by the vegetables that end up on the plate. Restaurant Moment has been admitted to the White Guide and White Guide Nordic one year after opening and in 2019 the restaurant received the Michelin price, Bib, Inspectors’ favourites for good value.”
