“An oasis of green in the heart of Edinburgh, 5 minutes walk from the flat. At 54 acres, it is one of Scotland's largest urban parks. There is a boating pond on the south side of the Park incorporating an attractive wetlands water garden. Stunning views of the city skyline and Pentland Hills can be seen from above the pond. The park also features a children's play park, four tennis courts, a ball court for basketball and football, a petanque court and a running and fitness circuit.”

“This one's a bit more of a walk, but if you're looking for a British pub with delicious home-cooked foods, this is the place to go. They always have specials, and you can often find mussels and venison in their specials. A bill for two courses with drinks for two people will typically come to around 40 - 50 pounds. It's really close to Fountainpark, which has a cinema, and an arcade with bowling alley (check online for deals as some nights are really cheap!), if you're looking for something to do after dinner. They take both cash and card.”
