“This is a fantastic space right down the road from our flat. (take a left out of the door and walk down the hill past the small roundabout, then up the hill slightly, keep an eye out for a small gate on the left, that will take you down into the gardens) It is a beautiful park in its own right, and also a great shortcut to Princes Street and beyond. It used to be my walk to work in the morning!”

“Princes Street is one of the major thoroughfares in central Edinburgh, Scotland, and the main shopping street in the capital. It is the southernmost street of Edinburgh's New Town, stretching around 1 mile (1.6 km) from Lothian Road in the west, to Leith Street in the east. The street has virtually no buildings on the south side, allowing panoramic views of the Old Town, Edinburgh Castle, and the valley between. Most of the street is limited to trams, buses and taxis with only the east end open to all traffic. ”

“After shopping in the Main Street, you can relax in this Gardens and enjoy the powerful and dramatic Castle before you as well as the ancient buildings that sit beside it. There are lovely walks here, that can take you to some landmarks, such as the sir Walter Scott Monument, dedicated to a writer who was as popular as J.K. Rowling in his times much so that they build this giant structure, to honour him.”

“Great for lying in the sun, admiring the scenery, going for a quick jog away from traffic, or just having some quiet time. Only local residents have keys so well worth a look while you have access, and never gets too crowded. Many people book hotels close to queen street for weddings just to gain access to the Queen Street gardens. A hidden (exclusive) gem.”
