“A hidden speakeasy style underground bar, this awesome place looks like a barber shop from the outside but is a very quirky and cool bar once you get passed the bookcase door. Great cocktails and music. ”

Café

“The best Scottish full breakfast! Everything is a bit quirky here, with the menus in old magazines and none of the china matching. Its slightly off the shores main eating street but this doesn't make it quiet, so maybe consider booking.”

Monument / Landmark
“The Scott Monument is a Victorian Gothic monument to Scottish author Sir Walter Scott. It is the second largest monument to a writer in the world after the José Martí monument in Havana. It stands in Princes Street Gardens, just opposite the Jenners department store and near to Edinburgh Waverley Railway Station, which is named after Scott's Waverley novels. The tower is 200 feet 6 inches (61.11 m) high, and has a series of viewing platforms reached by a series of narrow spiral staircases giving panoramic views of central Edinburgh and its surroundings. The highest platform is reached by a total of 288 steps.”

Italian Restaurant

“Fantastic pizza and you can either go and eat in their lovely restaurant, order it for delivery at home or, if you are at The Joker & The Thief on Leith Walk, order it and have it with your pint of Tennent's (they serve it up on a platter, and provide napkins etc....amazing!). The Vesuvio is my firm favourite!”
