  • Adam's place was absolutely gorgeous! My husband and I had such a wonderful stay. The apartment was spotless and the clawfoot tub was such a nice bonus! We loved being so close to downtown to walk for our morning coffee or for lunch or dinner. Would definitely stay here again!

  • At the risk of never having this unit available again, it was perfect. Clean, convenient, and comfortable. Adam is a wonderful host. Highly recommend.

    Tania2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • The place is lovely and well-cared for. Nice touches to make the guests feel comfortable.

    Jean2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • We were met at the apartment by Wendy and everything was thoroughly explained to us. The apartment is brand new and is well appointed. The photos on the website are accurate and if I would say anything it would be that this apartment is even nicer than the photos. There is nothing like this in Winona. It is also located right next to a coffee shop and wine bar as well as a number of other cafes and restaurants. We loved this place and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

    Ellen2016-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for classy, quiet, clean, beautiful, and modern charm, this is it. Adam's place is perfect, and my favorite getaway in Winona. Top notch hosts and a bar setter for vacation rentals. (I'm a frequent "flyer.") Close to everything you might want. Steps away from coffee shops, movie theatre, craft brewery, resturants...

  • Our host was fantastic. We got all the information we needed and she was available by phone if needed. One of the best trips we have had to Winona and will be staying here again on any and all return trips. There is not one thing we would change, just a fantastic place to stay(URL HIDDEN)

This private space is located in the lower level of our home. It is complete and private with a separate entry way, full bath, kitchen, bedroom, living space and dining area. **NEW in 2018** The Meditation/Reading/Reflection/Yoga Room. This additional room will be multi-functional for your personal needs. We will also be adding sleeping accommodations for 4 additional guests!
The space stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Our home is far enough away to feel private and secluded, and yet close enough to the necessities with a Kwik Trip only 2 miles away. Shops, restaurants, the hospital, Winona State University, St. Mary's University are all 5 to 15 minutes away.
We live in the country. Our "neighbors" are a quite a distance away. Although there is some traffic on our road, our home is far enough away from the road, so it's not bothersome. The nights are quiet, with only the sound of crickets and coyotes.
  • Great place to stay. Natalie was a great host. Very clean and quiet place. Winona is a beautiful area to visit. Would stay again if in the area:)

    Arne2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Very relaxing location! Great to have the whole lower unit to ourselves - complete with kitchen! Coffee and snacks provided were enjoyed!!

    Karen2017-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great, comfortable space and easy check-in! It was really nice to have a kitchen with a fridge/freezer and stove on our trip, and the layout is ideal if one person wants to stay up later to read or watch TV while the other person goes to bed. Accessibility was also good; I use a cane to get around and appreciated the flat, well-lit path from where we parked to the door, and that everything I needed was on one level(URL HIDDEN)Natalie provides excellent directions, and we did find our way on the second try even on a dark, rainy night, but I would recommend arriving before dark if you can on the first night of your stay.

    Angela2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great location to Winona city. It was great to have a private entrance. You have the whole area to relax in. Very quiet. Natalie really made us feel comfortable with the coffee k cup selection. Creamer in the frig. Little snacks on the counter. You will enjoy your stay at this location. Natalie and Jason are a wonderful couple.

  • This is an incredible place! Private entrance, quiet, spacious, and clean!!! Lots of thoughtful little touches throughout the unit! The bed was exceptionally comfortable! Melissa2017-08-20T00:00:00Z

  • Our group of 7 adults and one infant were supposed to camp at Brunet Island State Park this weekend. With the rainy forecast, we decided to change our plans and started looking for an airbnb nearby. We were so pleasantly surprised to find this location that could hold our larger group and was super affordable. We loved the location and the whole loft was so updated and nice

    Elisabeth2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • We spent one night at the townhouse while on a weekend trip along the river. It's in a convenient location between Alma and Fountain City. Sue and her husband met us for check in and were friendly and gracious. The townhouse is in the town and there are a number of bars/restaurants within walking distance. The townhouse is above some apartments and we occasionally could hear a barking dog or TV, but it wasn't a big issue. The space is quite large which was nice for us and our three boys. They liked having their own room and plenty of room to move around. Two bathrooms is also a plus. The decor is updated and modern and is well designed. The kitchen is spacious with new appliances and a larger counter/bar area. We liked the game table and the open space with kitchen/dining/living area combined. The check out time was flexible and the process easy. Overall, we enjoyed our short stay and would definitely visit again.

    chad2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • This was one of the best airbnbs I've stayed in. Super spacious, clean, and the hospitality and service was greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend this spot! We had a great time.

    Emily2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • This place was beautiful! Perfect for any get together! Open floor plan, plenty of room have meals together and get some sleep. Loved that all you had to bring was your food and everything else was taken care of. Owners are kind and very helpful. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone, you won't be disappointed!

  • My friend and I were in Winona for a conference at St. Mary's and Tammy's place was just down the road. We loved the use of her kitchen, the beautiful countryside, and the warm hospitality. Thanks again, Tammy!

    Karen2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet country location with horses neighing in the distance. Tammy invited us to use kitchen and living area not just the bedroom we rented. We enjoyed a glass of wine on the wraparound front porch overlooking the bluffs and horses. Delightful.

    Anne2017-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • It was a wonderful place to stay! We were wanting a place close to Winona for a wedding. We had three spacious rooms that were easily accessible. The only thing I would change are the mattresses. They were quite firm (if that's your jam, then it would be perfect for you!) We didn't have a chance to share that with Tammy because new guests had arrived and we had to get going. She is a great host and a wonderful person to chat with! The scenery was magnificent and matched the warmth of our host :) Thank you Tammy for being so welcoming and accommodating!

    Lauren2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had an absolutely amazing time. The house and property are beautiful and Tammy is an unbelievable host. We will definitely be back!

  • Nice spot! Good food

    BRYAN2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay while in the area for a wedding. The cabins are cozy and clean. Theyre located right next to the restaurant (great food!) in a little semi circle and you get to park right in front of your cabin. Wifi was a little spotty and limited cell phone reception FYI. We would stay again!

    Claire2016-10-16T00:00:00Z

  • Nice set up for a hunting trip to Buffalo County....

    Tom2016-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was beautiful and clean. The surroundings were nice and there is a softball field and playground but beyond that, unless you are a hunter (or love fishing) you will need to drive at least 15-20 min to the closest attraction (a winery!) or bigger town (Alma and Winona). Also, just a note about the General Store nearby: it's closed on Sunday and may close before the scheduled time on the other days (like happened to us). Also, the Waumandee House Restaurant is closed on Monday. So unless you bring your own food (make sure you ask for a fridge to be provided in your cabin) the food options on site may be limited at times. If you plan to make a fire in the communal fire pit, make sure you bring your own wood, as there is only some provided on site.

The Village House is a fully restored farmhouse nestled at the foot of the bluffs in a peaceful residential neighborhood. The house was completely remodeled but still has loads of character with exposed brick walls, high ceilings, and gracious furnishings. The outdoor spaces are equally inviting, especially the covered patio which is surrounded by gardens with a view of our charming neighborhood. Each bedroom has a full private bath. We are inspected and licensed by the MN Dept of Health.
When the Village House was renovated, thoughtful attention was given to adding modern comforts while maintaining the original character of the house. We operated the Village House as a B&B for almost 9 years before converting it to a vacation rental in 2016, so we've hosted thousands of satisfied guests over the years. We love sharing this charming property with our friends, family, and guests!
We're located in a quiet retirement community. We ask that you respect our neighbors, and loud parties are not allowed.

Irish Ridge Farm is a B&E (that’s Bed and Eggs!). Our farm house is located five miles east of Rochester, MN making it a convenient, homey spot for any Rochester visitor. We are quiet and rural, yet 15 minutes from downtown.
We have three bedrooms (one queen and two doubles) that comfortably sleep six people. The kitchen is stocked with cookware, dinnerware, silverware, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, and dishwasher. You can also have a cook-out with the outdoor gas grill. In season, we stock the fridge with a carton (or two) of fresh eggs from our happy, free-run chickens. As with many houses of its era, there is a single modest bathroom, with an extra shower and vanity in the adjoining laundry room. A shed protects your car from those frosty Minnesota winter mornings. Irish Ridge Farm provides central A/C, WiFi, flat screen TV with cable, free laundry, games, and books to peruse. A new addition to the home is a baby grand piano; you can create beautiful music whether you are a accomplished pianist or just like to tinker.
  • Wonderful farm in southern Minnesota. Quiet, peaceful location. Martha made me feel very welcome. There were fresh eggs and butter in the fridge and homemade muffins. The home was very clean and well appointed. Everything you need to make you feel right at home. If you like dogs, cats and chickens, you will love this place.

  • We felt so at home at this place. We arrived on a beautiful fall day and were surprised to have a fresh soda bread awaiting us. Martha greeted us and showed us around and made sure that we knew how to get in touch with her if we needed anything. Our granddaughters loved to rake leaves into a pile and then jump in them. The animals were a real plus for the city folks who seldom get a taste of the farm life. Oh...and I can't forget the baby kittens. the loft in the barn was a great area for the girls to run and play. The house was really nice with plenty of room for us to enjoy each others company. Already planning for next fall.

  • This was one of my favorite AirBnB experiences ever. The hosts are incredibly generous, welcoming, and just wonderfully warm. The house is spacious and spotless, and completely stocked with everything you might need to cook, read, or rest. Being so close to Mayo was a huge help, and yet the home is surrounded by peaceful, lovely countryside, complete with glorious sunrises from the front porch. And you can't beat a place that has a goat named Fred. Amazing stay, thank you!

Come stay with us at the log cabin near the river. Step out the door and hike the hills of the river valley. Rent a canoe to explore the backwaters of the Mississippi. Grab your favorite book and a glass of wine and settle in for the night or make s'mores while becoming mesmerized by the conversation and campfire. We're only a few minutes from Winona along the Great River Road National Scenic Byway and we're happy to have you.
We are on the second floor with a stunning view over the treetops from the deck. The guest bedroom has a private entrance, comfy queen size bed and a mini fridge. • Beautiful space! We are going to try to come back in the summer to enjoy some of the other restaurants and shops.

  • Clean and comfortable. The bed is better than ours at home.

    Wolfie2017-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • This spot was adorable! Cute rooms, very comfortable beds. Only downside was spiders. Two in the room and a huge one almost hit me in the face when leaving. Cute town, very friendly host, clean rooms, great breakfast!

  • It was a great stay and an adorable room! Katherine was very nice and accommodating.

    Emily2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • I was in town for a 1 night get-away with a friend. Katherine's cottage is beautifully decorated and felt like a home away from home. She has it equipped with essentials (shampoo, soap, towels, coffe & keurig, wine glasses & opener...) We enjoyed the bay window that looks out towards the river. Great place to sit, visit and watch the eagles soar. Would love to visit again in warmer weather and enjoy the front porch. The only thing that took some getting used to was the proxemity to the train tracks. If the noise doesn't bother you this is a great spot!

  • The Tritsch House Bed and Breakfast is a beautiful old house, with lovely woodwork, stained glass, and views of the river, especially from the second floor balcony. Each room is unique and lovely, and guests have access to the living room, including pool table, dining room, and porches. The hospitality was wonderful, and included a full breakfast and lots of information about the local area. We also had a TV in our room. I can't say good enough things about this particular B&B -- a great place!!!

    Maria2017-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • John's parents were very welcoming. They gave us ideas for dinner and we ended up going to Reads Landing brewpub. The room was cozy and comfortable. Terrific breakfast. A beautiful property, probably the most beautiful in Alma. A great stay.

    Eric2015-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks for making sure checkin was easy since you weren't able to be there. The house was really cute and comfortable. We loved walking around the town, only wish shops were open on weekdays. We would definitely stay here again.

    Jennifer2017-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • John arranged for his father to meet me when I arrived. The bed and breakfast was very nicely decorated with many more amenities than described. My room was perfect with its own AC unit and bathroom. When traveling through WI this will always be one of my overnight stops.

Prairie School design high above Mississippi River. Wooded hillside. The pinnacle of quality, privacy, beauty, convenience and luxury. Absolutely unique/unrivaled. Sleeps 4-9. Privacy inside and outside if desired. 5 min. to Winona or Fountain City.
3-4 BR, 3 BA on two levels. 4-acre wooded hillside, 5 min. from downtown Winona, in Wisconsin. Nestled into 4 acres of hardwood and birch hillside high above the "Great River Road" (St. Rd. 35), this luxury home boasts an incredibly beautiful panoramic view of the Mississippi River and bluffs of Minnesota. Enjoy a striking view incomparable on either side of the Mississippi. There are no neighbors for at least a quarter of a mile, and no neighbors are visible from anywhere on the property. The first thing you'll notice is the lock and dam below you about 1 mile away. The interstate bridge and downtown Winona open themselves up to you a few miles further in the distance, while Sugarloaf Mountain on the east side of Winona, 5 miles in the distance, caps your view from the huge windows on every level. This is one of the most beautiful and unique houses you will ever see. A "Prairie School" design, the original construction began in the mid-1950s, finally completed by the current owner in 2006. The interior features additional custom cut and installed "Winona Stone," on all countertops throughout, including custom stone bookshelf. The stone was sourced from the same company used by the original owner in the 1950s. The kitchen sink is carved from one solid piece of limestone, all designed, custom cut and installed by the Biesanz Stone Co., complementing the open concept kitchen. The master bedroom features a private “en-suite” bathroom with a walk-in closet. There is a large concrete deck leading out from the first floor with a gas grill for guests to use. There is also a deck off the main floor dining room, and off the master bedroom. There are panoramic views of the Mississippi River from most rooms and exterior decks.
Fountain City, WI is 2.5 miles to the northwest and Winona, MN is 5 miles southeast of the property, and across the interstate bridge. Both cities offer a number of restaurants/bars, activities, and events throughout the year. Winona offers grocery stores, pharmacies, and access to other necessities. Fountain City is a quaint city of approximately 900 people. It is full of historic buildings, colorful shops, restaurants-- even a wine tasting room. Complimentary Visitor’s Guides for both Winona and Fountain City are available at the house when available to us. These guides offer lots of great options and activities. Winona, Minnesota is the home of the main campus of Winona state University. The population of Winona is approximately 25,000, but 10,000 of those are students, many of whom are not in the area during the summertime. This area of southeastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin is a sportsman’s paradise with amazing educational and cultural opportunities. Located in the area are the following: Winona hosts a Shakespeare Festival, a Beethoven Festival, Frozen River Film Festival, and Midwest Music Festival, just to name a few. Enjoy Steamboat Days, an Ironman Triathlon, and boat races on the lakes. You name it, the area is full of fun and exciting things to do for guests of all ages and interests. Two Wisconsin State Parks with myriad opportunities for hiking, canoeing/kayaking, fishing, just being in nature, and so much more. These parks offer some of the best and most beautiful scenery in the area. Merrick State Park: 5.5 miles to the northwest Perrot State Park: 15.5 miles to the southeast Besides the public boat landings in the state parks, there is a public access boat landing 2.5 miles away in Fountain City. The property sits right below the famous “Indian Head Rock,” which is one of the most recognizable Mississippi River landmarks in Wisconsin. This landmark is most easily seen within a mile of your approach from the South. Latsch Island Beach is located just 4.5 miles away. Enjoy the public beach and picnic areas on those hot summer days. There are two local wineries in the area: 7 Hawks Vineyards, Fountain City: 2.5 miles to the northwest. Elmaro Vineyard, rural Trempealeau: 11 miles to the east. Caution: whenever exiting the driveway, look both ways especially to the north. The hill and the bend in the road keep oncoming vehicles out of sight up until just a few hundred yards from the driveway. It is also a popular place for vehicles to pass others and the driveway is out of sight for them.
  • The listing was 100% accurate. The location was exactly as described and exactly what we were looking for, secluded, yet accessible to everything we needed. One thing we didn't expect was the noise from trains on the tracks right below the house. It didn't bother us and couldn't really be heard in the bedrooms. The views were superb! I never met Scott in person because our arrival was delayed by flight delays. He did meet with my sister and gave her the keys to the home. I would only recommend that more cleaning products be available, because I am a neatnick! We needed to buy paper towels and windex for the glass topped dining table. Otherwise our stay was wonderful and the house is very unique and comfortable!

  • Great place for a private family gathering as the layout and deck made a nice place to socialize. Ample parking with unique design. We appreciated the quietness about close proximity to both Fountain City and Winona.

  • the space was great with many different areas for the group to congregate, both indoors and outdoors. the outdoor spaces were great with ample room and scenic views (a bald eagle and a bobcat/lynx sighting in one weekend). sleeping accommodations were good and standard kitchen appliances for cooking meals. the host was great to work with and responses to questions were very quick.

    Barbara2015-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Dan did a great job getting us there and making us feel at home. The place was gorgeous and very well kept for an older, quaint B&B type of place. We had everything we needed and felt very spoiled! I recommend Daniels places to anyone.

    Tom2015-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • Daniel is a wonderful host! He made me feel welcome immediately. Both Daniel and his place are treasures. The space was immaculately clean, the setting, in the small town along the Mississippi River is full of beautiful sights and beautiful natural light. The suite is full of exquisite antiques, and is roomy, and as close to the river as you can possibly be. Daniel provided the suite with everything practical that a guest would need, and then some. And with his sparkling, vibrant personality, and all that he has done with the charming old buildings in Alma, and his peaceful "secret garden" just across the street, I can't wait to return! Is there a way to give this place more than 5 stars! This guest is charmed and grateful.

    Heidi2015-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place to stay! Daniel gave excellent advice on places to eat, sunset viewing spots, cool shops to check out!

  • This was a great experience! My friend and I had no idea what to expect on our visit to Alma, WI and were pleasantly surprised. When we checked in Daniel gave us a run down of the town; where to visit, what to see/eat/do, etc. It was great having someone there to help us with the hot spots! The room was AMAZING! I loved the "France without the attitude" theme. It was so clean, beautifully decorated and the beds were so comfortable. The view of the Mississippi was wonderful, it was fun watching the barges come in and out. The train tracks behind the house were loud but Dan made sure there were ear plugs in the nightstand if needed. This place would be perfect for a weekend stay (like we did) or for longer stays. Thank you for a great weekend Dan!

  • Tammy's home was comfortable and beautiful. She was beyond understanding about the chaos of our toddlers and the noise they made in the early hours (we felt so bad!). Tammy was warm and friendly and just how a hostess ought to be. It was an all around pleasant experience.

There are 3 bedrooms, kitchen area with full size refrigerator and stove, 55" TV with cable, pool table, Foosball table, all carpeted (new). Washer/dryer, coffee maker and bathroom (sink and stool) with shower located separably. Windows ONLY in bedrooms. All LED lighting in living room. Very roomy and clean. Our family has lived here for 16 years, there is a double door to enter the home, you would get a code for the front door which is your own entrance. Very safe environment.
This home is located is a residential neighborhood. There is a dairy queen one block away, pretty quite setting.
  • David is super friendly and accommodating! The place is so spacious and who doesn't love a big screen tv and pool table?! We were his first clients so they are a work in progress but it has amazing potential for a great, safe place to stay with more room than any hotel.

Come enjoy "million dollar views" of the Mississippi River, Autumn Colors, adjacent golf course, and Bald Eagles soaring. A beautiful spot to be free to enjoy the basic human right of Freedom of Association. We are the only Airbnb Superhosts in Wabasha, for 8 quarters in a row, so you can be sure to have a great visit. THIS IS NOT AN OFFER FOR LODGING, AS PER Wabasha S.819.
View of the river valley from a ~4500 sq ft home on the bluffs of the Mississippi River.
Quiet neighborhood adjacent the golf course. Good restaurant at the golf course club house.
  • It was a warm welcome at Doug's house. Doug had to work at the day we came to his house. Nevertheless his girlfriend Colette made us a very warm welcome at the house. She gave us the feeling of beeing in a friend's house. The view was amazing, the bed cozy, breakfast delicious and the ride by the golf caddy much fun. Totally worth it to stay - even for a short trip!

    Elke2015-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Colette was a great hostess, very helpful, hospitable and fun! The house is beautiful and the view awesome. We had a wonderful stay and can't wait to return some day(URL HIDDEN)

    Bernadette2016-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Colette welcomed us with her joyful presence and made us feel very welcome immediately --- as well as suddenly finding ourselves in the presence of a spectacular view of Wabasha at sunset! This is a beautiful view with a quiet neighborhood in which to enjoy it. Communication with our hosts was wonderful and quick to respond to our messages. Colette advised us on the local businesses to enjoy and we took her up on all of them: From paddle boarding and sailing on Lake Pepin to a most memorable meal at the Harbor View Cafe. We can't forget to also mention hiking in Buena Vista park, the visit to the Nelson Creamery and the local vineyards. All enjoyable and we must say that our T-shirts fit like a glove! We missed Douglas, but hoping to return to enjoy the million dollar view again. Thank you for this memorable view for our Anniversary.

Looking for a getaway? Come to the secluded Creekside cabin just outside city limits to test out "Tiny House Living"! All the amenities of home only smaller. This is a great place! Sit by the creek and listen to the water run or cozy up to the "Tiny" wood burning fireplace to get away from it all. Situated right on the Minnesota State Snowmobile trails. Trails also great for walking/4 wheeling/biking.
You will have the entire cabin to yourself. The spiral staircase will take you to the 2nd floor and another staircase to reach the 3rd floor bedroom area. Low headroom on 3rd floor bedroom due to A frame style cabin.
  • Unique old-school tiny house off the beaten path, but close to town. Second floor fireplace room was delightful and we spent most of our time hanging out there. Spiral stairs and low ceiling in bedroom might be a consideration for some but worked fine for us. Beds small but comfortable. Hosts very friendly and responsive.

    Connie2017-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at the Cozy Cabin! The host was wonderful and very accommodating. Close to downtown and easy to find. The place was cute with nice personal touches. The stairs were challenging to negotiate, but we knew this coming in. Over all great!

    Lauren2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Just wonderful. So cozy. Great fireplace. Beware the ceiling is very low in the sleeping area and the indoors spiral staircase is very narrow (thought there is a nice wide staircase outside you can use instead). We didn’t mind the low ceiling of the a-frame or the staircase at all. We had a great time and the host was very friendly; we met her as we were leaving.

  • Sheryl, Mario and Alexander were wonderful! We love this beautiful apartment and hope to visit another time. The pictures accurately describe the place. It's well stocked, comfortable, clean, centrally located and beautifully decorated.

    Jean2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Oma's Treehaus was the perfect place to rest and relax while we were in town visiting family. Sheryl provided everything we needed to feel at home, and the unit itself was cozy and inviting. We hope to stay again. Definitely recommend.

  • This place was amazing. I would highly recommend it to anyone needing a place to stay in the Winona area.

    Janelle2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • We were in Winona to visit family and Sheryl and Mario's place was perfect for my husband and I. The apartment looks just as it does in the photos, comes with a well-equipped kitchen, and was very, very clean. We felt very at home there. The experience was good from start to finish. Sheryl and Mario's son, Alexander, was very helpful during the booking process and responded to any questions quickly. Check-in was a breeze and when we had a problem with the WiFi Sheryl was prompt in returning my call. We even had the pleasure of running into Mario outside the last day of our stay. Unfortunately, we were on our way somewhere and couldn't chat long, but he was kind and very pleasant. The location of the apartment is very central and it's quite easy to walk around town or to the university if you wish. Definitely stop by Mugby Junction around the corner if you like coffee. It's a great coffee house and the staff are always friendly. Another favorite is the Blue Heron Coffeehouse down on West 2nd Street which is a nice breakfast or lunch option. We would definitely recommend this apartment to others, and would definitely stay again during a future trip to Winona.

2 BR 2BA with a fully equipped yoga room, walking distance to campus, Mugby Junction coffee house, and lake park paths. Beautifully decorated in a southwest theme, the house features wood floors and detailed design throughout. The interior is spacious, with a large kitchen, dining table, living room (no TV), and music room with electric keyboard, guitar, and various instruments. House has a dishwasher and W/D. There is a driveway with room for one car, making parking easy.
Southwest decor, wood floors and cabinetry, yoga room, music room with electric piano
My favorite things about my neighborhood are: Convenience to Winona state university, local fair trade offer house, quiet respectful neighbors (though during big college events there are definitely parties and people on the streets), proximity to the lakes- all within walking distance.
  • This charming home was the perfect place for a weekend getaway. Nicolle’s home is well stocked, very spacious, and conveniently located just two blocks away from the WSU campus and just a 15-minute walk away from the lakes. Nicolle kept in great communication throughout. The beds were very comfortable, the home was very clean, and it was overall a very calming atmosphere. I highly recommend staying at this home during your visit to Winona.

  • A beautiful house and space. Spacious, warm, quiet, welcoming. A fresh experience for an avid vacation home renter. Easy check in and out. Good communication.

    Lala2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely and spacious house, with everything you need and great location close to campus, downtown and lake. Nicolle is great to communicatie with and responses fast. Easy self check in, lovely porch, kitchen with all you need for cooking, air conditioning, great atmosphere. Running around the lake and cycling from Trempeleau on the Great River State Trial were great things to do and the art museum is awesome. Highly recommended place to stay!

  • This is a traditional Winona home, clean and bright, with plenty of public space: you could cook a Thanksgiving dinner in this kitchen, and serve it in the dining room! The home is 2 blocks from Winona State University, so finding parking for an additional vehicle can be a bit of a treasure hunt. However, once parked, we never moved the second vehicle: this house is so convenient that it was possible to walk to many locations, including Lake Park Lodge, where the City of Winona maintains an equipment rental (15.00/year /person) We were able to canoe, paddle board, and kayak over the length of our stay for just $15 each! This is a great house from which to base a Winona visit.

We have a large, happy home in the most beautiful woods in Minnesota. Every room looks out on forest and meadows with two streams cascading nearby. We have a great kitchen, huge entertainment areas, and a pool. Easy access to Mayo Clinic.
A very quite neighborhood just barely outside of Rochester. A private road.
  • Tamsin and John are great hosts and the whole stay couldn't have been easier. Highly recommend.

  • Thourougly enjoyed our stay at Tamsin & John's home. House was lovely. We had the basement to ourselves so it was very private. Home was clean and surrounded by beautiful land. (Wish we could have walked the area but time did not permit) We were here for a visit to Mayo. Easy drive, about 15 minutes. We will stay here again if we are back at Mayo. Would highly recommend this AirBnB property.

  • Tamsin and John are the ultimate hosts and extremely kind! Their home is beautiful and welcoming. They have a nice set up for folks traveling and I hope to be able to return for a visit in the future.

    Lindsie2015-12-06T00:00:00Z
  • Our experience with John and Tamsin was fabulous and far too short. They responded almost immediately to our messages and were flexible even though our request was very last minute. There home is beautiful! Wow! We want to plan a getaway to Rochester just to spend a couple nights there. We were in and out pretty quickly because we were there to support someone at Mayo Clinic's St. Mary's Hospital, but we were so glad we found this spot. Tamsin had made scones for us and has set up a nice breakfast and snack nook which we enjoyed. While they share their amazing kitchen, we didn't need it, and they have a microwave and electric kettle (pitcher that heats water for tea or coffee, etc.) just outside the room. The beds are VERY comfortable, and they have the most friendly and affectionate cat that I have ever met.

  • Tamsin was lovely and kind. We had a lot in common and chatted for hours. The home was beautiful with lots of books and artwork. The area is lovely, I wish I had more time to stay and enjoy the outdoors.

    Denise2015-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was our best Airbnb experience so far! The room is not like a normal lower-level room, as it is sunny with full-size windows that look out on the creek. It was a sanctuary. The house is beautifully decorated - Tamsin is an artist and has painted the entire guest bathroom with a detailed undersea scene. Thank you for being so friendly and welcoming!

My place is close to public transport, art and culture, parks, and the city center, downtown restaurants and bars. You can easily take a run over the Mississippi River or go fishing on the levee. You’ll love my place because of the location. It's perfect walking distance from everywhere you need to go! Restaurants, bars, Winona State University game fields and a grocery store is blocks away. Ask for recommendations! My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
Renting this room is a great way to be near everything you need downtown. During the summer, a beautiful porch is available to lounge and enjoy the spring and summer weather.
Our place is in the "downtown fringe" of Winona. Yes, that's a technical zoning term to mean it's an area designated as a transition between the commercial downtown and the residential neighborhoods to the East. This is great! We get a quiet, safe neighborhood that is within walking distance to everything downtown!
  • Very convenient location for a great price!

    Jack2017-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • A very clean and comfortable room with both an ac unit and fan. There's even a mini fridge that was super nice to have available. The room had new windows and floors and was overall gorgeous. Having a deadbolt on the door was convenient and I couldn't have felt safer leaving my belongings there while I was out. I plan on staying here again next time I'm in Winona!

  • Our host Crystal cancelled our reservation at 4:20 when we had a 5:00 check-in time arranged. We were already in Winona and had to scramble to find another place to stay. I was very disappointed with the "help" air b and b offered. We ended up booking a hotel. Our dinner plans and social time were greatly delayed because of this last minute cancellation... not to mention the stress it caused us.

  • Ariel did a great job of making me feel completely welcome throughout my two-week stay in her quiet neighborhood of Rochester. MN. The living space was clean and comfortable (and well air-conditioned in the middle of summer!), and Ariel generously supplied plenty of bottled water for the basement bedroom's small, convenient fridge. Next to the bedroom, the bathroom is well-appointed, with lots of hot water in the roomy shower. Ariel and her husband (whose dogs are awfully cute, by the way) respected my privacy at every level. Overall, I couldn't have been happier with the arrangement. Thanks, Ariel!

  • The bedroom I used was very spacious with the full bathroom across the hall. There was a large area with a comfy sofa and TV to watch the baseball playoffs. Also across the hall was a room with a dining table, refrigerator and microwave. Excellent value! It was very quiet, comfortable and convenient for my conference in Rochester. Elaine made coffee in the morning. She was very pleasant to work with in the reservation and during my stay.

Elaine was very considerate, being quiet when she thought I was sleeping, and I really enjoyed visiting with her throughout the day as time allowed. I would very much enjoy staying with her again the next time I'm in Rochester.
