Just booked in Essex

Comfortable 2-bedroom suite with its own entrance in Burlington's New North End. Three miles from downtown, four from the Univ. of Vermont. Easy walk (or bike ride) to Lake Champlain, the Burlington bike path, and Leddy Park.
We're near Lake Champlain. It's a basement suite with its own entrance, so you can be assured of privacy. The suite can sleep five-- we have a king-size bed in one bedroom, a full-size bed in the other, and there is a pull-out couch in the living room. The bedrooms have big windows and are quite sunny. The suite also has a large living room, a full bathroom, and a kitchen with microwave (but no stove). We're equipped Wi-Fi internet and TV you can watch YouTube .( we do not have cableTV). We are about a 20-minute walk from North Beach, and 5 minutes from the Burlington bike path, which runs along the lakeshore. We have bikes you can borrow, if you like. My husband and I both work days, full time, so we would like you to check in after 4:30 p.m., if possible. If this is not possible give us a call and we'll figure something out. There will be an extra charge of $25 per person per night if there are more than two people in your group (not counting babies). The Burlington bike path is beautiful, the lake and mountains will give you wonderful memories. It's a 20 minute bike ride from my house to Church Street and the waterfront at the foot of Main Street and you can explore downtown Burlington, enjoy good food and lots of activities.
  • Shouyan and her husband greeted us and showed us around the apartment, they made us feel very welcomed and comfortable. The place was clean and had plenty of space. The neighborhood is very quiet and residential, plus there are supermarkets close by. Easy to get to and a close drive to downtown.

  • The basement suite is clean and pleasant. The bike path along Lake Champlain is close by and the host was kind enough to let us borrow two bicycles.

  • The unit was clean, private, comfortable and spacious. We arrived after dark and Shouyan graciously offered to walk us down to the shore of Lake Champlain... just about 5 blocks away. This was our first Airbnb experience and it was a terrific introduction. Jim & Jane Ward

  • This Airbnb experience was wonderful! Shouyan was an excellent host--very friendly and accommodating--and made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. She even left work early in order to meet us before our dinner plans, and was understanding when traffic delayed our arrival. The location is in a nice neighborhood and the suite itself was as described and very spacious and private. There were only two of us so we didn't use the full accommodations, but each room was well-appointed and comfortable. The best part was the step-in shower. Plenty of hot water, toiletries, and fresh towels. Shouyan assured us that there was no reason to rush off in the morning and if we hadn't had plans with family we would have loved to borrow a couple of bikes and explore the area. (The Burlington Bike Path is just steps away from the house.) It is no wonder our host's guest book is filled with glowing entries--we felt like welcome guests and would definitely book this location again!

  • Shouyan and Jim were most kind, hospitable and generous. My friend Nancy and I arrived late and tired after riding our motorcycles for 400 miles, but they made us feel at home right away. The room was tidy and clean, with a separate entrance from the main part of the house. The guest bathroom was conveniently right next to the bedroom, and the little kichenette had a fridge where Shouyan had brought us some yogurt and fruit for the morning. The bed was comfortable and I slept like a rock. The garage was a huge bonus to have accessible, as we could leave our motorcycles covered from the late night rain. Shouyan's house is in a very safe and nice neighborhood, so I would love to go visit again, next time when we don't have to dash in and out so quickly!

  • Shouyan and her family were very welcoming. My friend and I arrived around 7pm, unfortunately the time when they were sitting down for dinner... but they were extremely friendly and gracious. They took the time out to take us downstairs and show us around. The basement apartment is quite large, plenty of space for a family, even. There were two good sized bedrooms- one with a queen and the other with a king. Mattresses were a little stiff, but I still slept soundly. There was plenty of closet space, for those who may need it, we were only here for two nights. Another great thing is that there is a private entrance so we didn't have to disrupt their family with our comings and goings. There is a large screen tv with cable, a very comfortable couch, tea kettle and coffee pot on an island and counter space with a sink and mini fridge. There's also a table to eat at and an electric fire place for extra warmth. The bathroom was very large and bright (natural light during the day) and the water pressure in the shower was AWESOME! Overall, a great stay here and a great deal!

  • Shouyan and her family made our stay in Burlington very enjoyable! When we arrived the suite was clean and well equipped. We had previously arranged arrival details and they were exactly as expected. This was our first experience with Air BnB and I am certain I will use it again. Consider Shouyan's space for a comfortable weekend away!

    Julian2016-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was our 2nd time staying with Shouyan and her place is perfect for us. We will definitely be staying here again.

Fun apartment overlooks river, covered bridge & historic blacksmith shop. Cozy kitchen / two pvt bedrooms feels like home. You have your own private deck and access to our riverside oasis with bbq grill. Sleeps 4+. Centrally located on Mtn. Rd. Walk or borrow one of my bikes to visit Main St, grocery store & shuttle. Everyone who visits says this is the best location in the entire village. Please message me before instant booking - I prefer inquiries and I get back to people very quickly
This unique 2 bdrm apt is located upstairs of a historic building in downtown Stowe. The building is funky and fun . As soon as you duck through the small entrance door you will see you are in a special, handcrafted space. It is very private and quiet even though you are just 50 yards from Stowe Village. We recently refinished the living room space with a very comfortable Italian design sofa, two cushy chairs and a big coffee table. Great for relaxing after a big day in the Mountains. The two cozy bedrooms have high quality queen size hotel quality beds. One bedroom is 8 x 10 and has a closet. The other has 8 x 10 feet with a full ceiling then another 4 feet with a sloping ceiling. That where is where the bed is located. The bathroom is compact. Just installed a new shower head in the shower stall. It gives great pressure. Tall men will find sitting is the preferred method when using the toilet. The ceiling slopes. The kitchen has 2 under counter fridges. , an apartment size gas stove , microwave, toaster and a french press coffee maker and I will try to supply you with some coffee. The kitchen counter creates a nice space for many activities. There is also good coffee available across the parking lot at the Mobil and around the corner at Laughing Moon chocolates (they make espresso) A new super efficient & quiet Rinnai heater keeps the apartment cozy in the winter. The air conditioner - if ever needed - cools just as efficiently and silently. The apartment is walking distance to all the restaurants, stores and markets in Stowe village. This includes the town welcome center ski museum and the entrance to the Stowe recreation path. Speaking of that there is a great little deck to enjoy morning coffees.
Stowe is a great town. Friendly locals will greet you at every turn as you explore our Mountains, Skiing(both downhill and cross country), Mountain Biking, World Class Dining and Shopping. Easy access to all of Vermont's best Brewery's (Hill farmstead, Alchemist, Lawsons Lost Nation, Rock Art, Magic Hat and Crop are all less then an hour away!), Ben And Jerry's Ice Cream, Cabot Cheese, The Cider Mill and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters all await.
  • Great location, perfect for us with a baby because it was easy/quick access to the sights in Stowe. Ari was easy to contact with questions via text. Yummy breakfast recommendation as well :) Thx for a great stay!

  • This was a wonderful place to stay. Ari is a helpful and friendly host and his apartment is in a charming setting in the village of Stowe. It’s within walking distance of everything we could want – an adorable grocery store with a nice selection of wines, restaurants, boutique and high-end craft and jewelry stores (check out Stowe Craft and Design right below!), ski and bike shops, a treasure of a ski museum and more. What a delight to wake to sun streaming through the window with a rocky, winding stream below. The apartment itself is well appointed and quite comfortable. It was nice to have the option of cooking in or dining out. The trolley to the mountain is just outside the door by a quaint covered bridge – what could be easier? The apartment has privacy – especially once the local stores button up their doors for the night. We travel to Stowe a couple of times a year and will definitely seek to stay here again.

  • If you are looking for a home base to sleep that is in the center of town this is the place to go. There is a lovely area behind the house that has a hammock and some loungers--just bring bug spray--VT mosquitoes are tough! The host will let you know that there is a store below and that they can hear everything you do upstairs. He did mention that it's never been a problem before but to "be aware". That made me somewhat paranoid as I was traveling with a 12 year old who hasn't quite grown into his size 13 feet yet and does a lot of stumbling and stomping. We didn't get any complaints so I guess we did ok.

    Mary2017-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Cute apartment and it is exactly as described and shown in the pictures. LOCATION IS EXCELLENT. The rooms and bathroom are tiny, however, we were able to manage just fine. The kitchen is not fully stocked so if you plan on cooking you may need to bring your spices and dishes. We only needed the place to crash at night so it worked out perfectly. Ari, was great too and responded to every question almost immediately. Overall, great experience and good value for downtown Stowe, VT.

    Beena2015-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is very nice and cosy! Perfect located and nice garden. We were able to use the bikes, which was really great! Had a lovely bikeride on the recreation path. Only the kitchen could use some more equipment (We travelled with our 7 month old daughter, so we had to cook dinner for her). Also the shower could use a little refresh. Beside that, we were very happy with this apartment! Ari is a very good host and stopped by to see if everything was ok for us! Thanks for having us Ari!

    Barbara2015-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • Easy to find little apartment over a shop in the center of Stowe. Exactly as advertised on the site. Situated right off of the main road to the downtown area and the mountain. Very convenient. Ari had left a bottle of locally brewed cider and a block of Vermont cheddar for us when we arrived. Great place to stay and made for a great trip. Would recommend to anyone and would definitely go back!

    Daniel2015-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • We spent three nights at Ari's apt in Stowe and enjoyed it immenslely. Stowe is beautiful and Ari's cute apt is ideally located right near main street but in a quiet area. The apartment was super clean and very comfortable. it's not a luxury suite but it has everything you need. Ari was very helpful and nice- we would definitely stay there again.

  • Ari's apartment was fantastic! Great location, great kitchen, and such a relaxing space. Ari was easy to communicate with and had great recommendations in Stowe. I will be back!

  • The barn was described (URL HIDDEN) was a wonderful place for rest and renewal! We enjoyed the gardens in the backyard and especially loved watching the chickens!

  • Barry is a wonderful, welcoming host! The barn loft is incredible- rustic elegant charm & very clean! Easy access to Burlington & beautiful Vermont experience! Only wish we could've stayed longer!

    Andrea2015-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • The place was just as beautiful as the pictures and the property was even more so! Barry and Jenny have a beautiful garden. My boyfriend and I enjoyed being a little off the beaten path while still being a quick 20-25 minute drive from Burlington and all its activities and restaurants. The only hiccup was that we accidentally locked ourselves out once, but Barry quickly came to our rescue after we called him (even though it was after 11pm). We particularly enjoyed looking out the windows to the amazing gardens and sitting out in the yard watching the sun set across the pond. A lovely place!

    K.C.2015-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Barry and Jenny's "Barn" is more like a luxury hotel! Beautifully furnished, airy and light, well-heated and with a bed you never want to leave. Add to that lovely views of gardens and ponds, roaming chickens and a welcoming Golden Retriever and you have a wonderful getaway in vermont.

    gabriel2014-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Host made us feel extremely welcome it was quiet clean, and Barry had suggestings for places of interest. Place was comfortable.

    Paul2015-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • The barn loft was a really magical place to spend a few nights. We arrived after dark and the place with very accessible. It's a gorgeous loft, and we enjoyed breakfast of homemade yogurt and granola each morning (provided by the host) and took in the beautiful grounds. Barry and Jenny also gave us great suggestions for hiking and eating--we ended up eating at The Public House in Hinesburg and walking about Shelburne Farms.

    Rebecca2015-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous, comfortable loft and their grounds were awesome to explore! Barry and Jenny were very welcoming, and Jenny's homemade granola was delightful. This would be our first choice place to stay the next time we're up in VT.

    amy2014-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding comfort in a lovely setting. Barry was pleasant, welcoming and helpful in every way. The loft itself was everything as promised and more. So homey and comfortable, in fact, that we even took a couple of hours off from touring the stunning fall colors to go back, put our feet up and just hang out. We loved everything: the barn, the beautiful landscaped garden, the dog and cat and, of course, the chickens! Located on a busy country road, but the intermittent traffic sound is cut to a murmur by the barn's location behind the main house. We spent just two nights there and, had we had the time, easily would have stayed longer. We will definitely be back. One tip: If you're planning to go out and return after dark, leave the light on in the skylight. It functions almost as a lighthouse that you can see from almost a half-mile away as you come down the road from Hinesburg so you know where to turn into the driveway.

Gorgeous country retreat between Burlington and Middlebury. A "dimensionally transcendental" space (bigger on the inside ;o) built as an artist's studio, located in a meadow bordered by woods and a wide creek on 22 acres, magical in all seasons.
One large, 2-story room with two double beds: a bed on the main floor with a plush mattress, and a comfy futon on the sleeping loft. There's a well-equipped kitchen perfect for making romantic dinners, with new (spring 2016) fridge and commercial range. There are both electric and drip coffee set-ups, and a toaster. No microwave. A large dining table (made by a local furniture building from local wood) for the amazing dinners you'll make, or to spread out your work and find inspiration. The center of the space holds a comfy "living room" area with a new couch (spring 2016) to hang out in. The cozy bedroom corner on the main floor and the futon on the sleeping loft make for dreamy night sleeps, both have fans and windows to stay cool in the summer. The recently renovated bathroom has an antique claw-foot tub, with a removable plank "desk" for your book and glass of wine. There is a radio & CD player, and iPod/Phone hook-up, wireless internet, and a land line. As you can see from the reviews, it's a very special place, intimate in size but expansive in feel, because of the cathedral ceiling and wall of windows with a view onto the meadow, creek, and sunset. It's a beautiful artistic/rustic interior, quirky, with a high level of comfort, many lovely rugs, and a lot of art. Perfect for an active vacation, a romantic get-away, or a creative, spiritual, or rejuvenating retreat.
Great natural beauty with an intimate scale. Covered bridges, rolling hills, swimming holes, x-country ski trails, fresh eggs for sale across the road. A vibrant creek (actually a small river) borders the land with easy access for wading, swimming, and fishing. The neighborhood (accessible by car) also has cafés, restaurants, bakeries, markets, hardware, yoga . . . pretty much anything you'll need.
  • We had a lovely stay at the cabin. Janie was friendly, communicative, and available if needed, but we did not actually see her at all. The cabin is very private with lots of land, which was just the retreat we needed. All the basics were provided: nice soft towels, bed linens, kitchen basics, etc. As you can see from the pictures, the place is beautiful.

    Kimberly2015-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • The place is amazing. So beautiful and fun! We had a great time and would recommend staying to anyone.

    Jacalyn2010-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • We very much enjoyed our stay at the Green House! We felt at ease the minute we walked in. The full kitchen provided us with all our cooking needs; there was ample room to lounge, read, and relax; the property and creek were the perfect setting; and we got the best sleep we have had in months. Janie was a helpful and available host. We hope to return again sometime. Thank you!

    Frank2011-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I visited Janie's lovely Vermont cottage to escape the busy NYC life for a long weekend in September. The space was fantastic and the immediate surrounding area was quiet, beautiful and wonderful to stroll around and sit and watch the sun rise/set. We were about an hour away from great hiking at Stowe and some great breweries (make sure to pick up your heady topper case!), 30 minutes from Burlington, etc. The foliage was just starting to turn so driving through the mountains could not have been more scenic. We cooked breakfast/made coffee every morning and made dinner two of the three nights. I highly recommend heading to Waterbury to have lunch/dinner at the Prohibition Pig. Needless to say, after the stay at Janie's we were fully rested, excited for fall and ready to take on the rest of the year. We hope to stay there again sometime soon! This is a MUST STAY in the fall!

    Chase2013-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great stay at Janie's cabin. Very peaceful and a nice retreat.

    William2012-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • Pure, unadulterated magic. We've stayed here once before, in high spring, and it was amazing. But August was even better. Lightening bugs, the sounds of river, total privacy, enchanted space. Love it here and will try to return every year.

    Darry + Kristi2014-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at the cabin. It was a quiet and peaceful space for some much needed R&R. Janie was a terrific host! FYI: there are tons of ladybugs in the cabin! It was a sweet touch.

    Jennifer2012-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Janie's retreat is truly a special place. The house is cozy, well-lit and beautifully decorated. The land surrounding the house is really special - complete with rolling meadows and a babbling river right down the hill. We were looking for a quiet place where we could relax after our wedding, and this was just perfect!

  • We couldn't have been more happy with our experience at Josiah's place. It was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Josiah was great with communication as well. The apartment is in an ideal location if you want to experience downtown Burlington and the lake front. We would definitely stay again if ever in the area.

  • Clean and great location

  • The location of this apartment is the best we've seen in Burlington!! It is very close to all the action and you don't have to take the car anywhere. You just walk to all the activities/restaurant/nightlife. The apartment itself is very nice and we found the bed to be very comfortable. The kitchen is fully functional and would allow someone to cook a simple meal. Although we did not meet Josiah, we liked the easy communication with him through Airbnb messaging. We loved the fact that the apartment has a PIN key system which allows for easy access. I would recommend this apartment for adults only. Travelling with a small child was a bit more difficult as the the place did not have a proper extra room for him to sleep in. Overall a great experience!! Thanks for a great stay!

Our cottage style Victorian has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It comfortably fits six people. We're a ten minute walk from the top of Church Street which is where downtown begins in earnest. Enjoy your coffee on the patio or walk to Barrio Bakery.
Our house is a sweet cottage style Victorian that was built in 1899. It has two full sized bathrooms, a spacious kitchen, a living room, and a family room. There's plenty of room to spread out and hang. There is a queen size bed in the master bedroom, a full size bed in the guest bedroom, and a fold-down futon in the family room. An additional person could also sleep on the sofa in the living room, but it isn't a sleeper.
The house is located in Burlington’s Old North End neighborhood. It’s a quick walk to Barrio Bakery (nom nom nom), the Radio Bean (live music), and Pho Hong. You’re a 10-minute walk to downtown, half a mile from the top of Church Street, one mile to Waterfront Park, walking distance to the waterfront and bike paths, and the University of Vermont. It’s a 45-minute drive to Stowe.
  • Brandi and Mike left a wonderful note for us on the kitchen, and invited us to eat anything in their fridge (which was fully stocked with food). Their home was clean and charming, with plenty of space for our group. Everything was even better than we expected. There was a decorated christmas tree in the living room and every space in the house had its own unique character. The appliances are all in great working order (fridge, washing machine, dish washer, stove, coffee maker etc . . . ). There's no microwave, but we found that wasn't necessary with an otherwise full kitchen. Brandi and Mike also had plenty of extra towels and sheets for us, which was wonderful for our large group. It's only a short (10-15 minute) walk to Church Street, and there are plenty of interesting places even closer! We had a great visit and we would definitely be back again!

  • Beautiful home, gracious hosts, very clean, very Burlington. Exactly what I hoped for. Very close to downtown. Will definitely book again in the future.

    Jonathan2014-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience... easy booking! Wonderful house in a GREAT central location! Totally recommend!

    Jeremy2014-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first AirBnB experience and it was great! Brandi was a phenomenal organizer prior to our stay and ensured that we knew exactly what we were doing. It was a seamless process and the house was exactly as described, except the photos show a less cluttered environment and there are more items around the house.

    alexa2015-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Sweet Victorian home in the heart of Burlington, perfect for parents' weekend. We didn't spend much time at home, since Burlington has so much to do, but it was wonderful to come back to comfy beds for a good night's rest after keeping up with the college boys! No surprises here. Brandi described the home perfectly and was a pleasure to work with. Oh, and the Barrio bakery around the corner has awesome baked goods and coffee!

    Doreen2014-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in Brandi and Mike's home earlier this summer and had a lovely time. The house was spacious, especially for two people but would have worked well for four too. The kitchen was well-equipped, and we had an easy time cooking breakfast there. And the neighborhood was well situated for walking to the heart of downtown Burlington. We had no problems whatsoever and would recommend a stay in this charming house without reservation.

    Valerie2014-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great experience. Everything was set up nicely and easy to navigate. Clear communication with the hosts. Thanks Brandi and Mike!

    Ashley2014-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • Brandi and Mike's house was perfect for our trip to Burlington for the Maritime festival. It's located relatively close to the activity of Church St which made it possible for us to leave our car parked in the driveway much of the weekend. House was as described and being able to bring our pup was a huge plus for us. Would stay there again.

  • Michael's apartment was clean and comfortable, and could not have been located more conveniently. Wonderful trip to Burlington!

  • Wonderfull room and even better host! Will gladly recommend this central spot in Burlington to anyone, Tim

  • Very cute apartment in a great location. Nice and clean and we found parking right around the corner.

    Samira2013-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Michael was a great host! His apartment location is phenomenal and so close to where everything is happening in Burlington. Everything was exactly as advertised and we felt like home at his place. We also want to note (as we appreciated) that the bed was very comfortable (not always the case on my previous ABB experience). We will surely consider his place on our next trip to Vermont.

    Yvan2014-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Worked out great. Ideal location.

    Matt2013-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Michael was a great host, when we arrived after a long car ride and asked if he had an extra yoga mat he was very kind to bring us a wooden crate complete with a mat, block, and strap. We were very cozy with our young baby in the warm and spacious bedroom, which was a completely central location to everything - so it was nice to park the car for a few days and walk everywhere. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to any others who wish to experience a great time Burlington!

    Bela2014-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • Michael was an amazing host. He had tons of ideas for places to eat and things to do in addition to making us feel perfectly comfortable and at home in a wonderful town. Perfect location and beautiful view from our room of the lake. Thank you!!

    Joe2014-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Michael's apartment! The space is clean, cozy, and conveniently located near Church Street Marketplace and the waterfront. Although we didn't get to meet Michael we were in contact via text with his co-host, Draizy, who was extremely helpful with everything we needed to know about the apartment. There was a long list of recommended coffee shops, restaurants (go to the Penny Cluse Cafe for breakfast!), and attractions (the farmer's market on Saturdays is amazing!) in the bedroom which was very much appreciated. Overall, this is an excellent Airbnb and I highly recommend staying here.

  • Gabriele was so welcoming - she greeted us upon arrival, provided a tour of the space, and was available should we have needed anything. The space was exactly as described in the listing. The white decor not only made the room feel bright and spacious, but it highlighted the spotlessly clean nature of the room too! There was more than enough room for my partner and I to spread out comfortably. The breakfast table with the coffee maker and tea pot was a nice touch. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet; we were even able to enjoy a quiet moment in Gabriele's beautiful backyard before heading to Burlington! This is a perfect spot for a quiet retreat, when you want to be close enough to Burlington to pop in for dinner, a concert, an afternoon out - but far enough away to be removed from city noises. I will definitely try to stay here again.

    Elysa2016-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Gabriele was extremely welcoming and accommodating. She gave me a bunch of info about the town and was a wonderful host. The space was beautiful and immaculate. It was also very private and safe. It was a fantastic place to stay and a great value!

    Caitlin2016-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Gabrielle was welcoming and her space was everything that was in the description. Lovely duvets, comfortable, clean and absolutely relaxing. Great location, close enough to town but just far enough to have quiet and calm. Will stay again!

    Emily2016-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Gabriele contacted me with helpful information before my visit and also gave me her cell number in case I needed it. She had everything beautifully prepared in the room. The room is generously sized and is self contained, with a bathroom, above the garage. This gives it a feeling of calm and seclusion. It is clean and smart. There is local information available and I chose a very good breakfast cafe with Gabriele's help.

    Rebecca2016-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • I had a lovely stay at Gabriele's guest room! Spotlessly clean and well appointed, I had everything I needed for my business stay. The bed was extremely comfortable and the towels were so luxurious. Gabriele could not have been more welcoming making sure I had everything needed - from the refreshments in the fridge, to fresh fruit and coffee/tea. Thank you Gabriele for your hospitality!

    BBF 2016-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Gabrielle gave us a warm welcome and provided us with lot of useful information. The room is very spacious, bright & friendly. We spend a pleasant night there!

    Gottfried2016-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • The room is everything that is described on the profile: clean, bright, comfortable, and warm. Gabriele was a wonderful host. She even greeted us with homemade Halloween muffins upon our arrival! The hosts have helpfully prepared a book of recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. As is mentioned in the description, the house is located in a suburban neighborhood about 10 minutes' drive from downtown Burlington. We had a car so it was very convenient for us. I had a little bit of difficulty connecting with my phone, but this was due to my service provider lacking coverage in the Burlington area, not the house specifically. Wi-fi worked fine for my laptop. We'd like to stay here again the next time we visit Burlington.

    Anthony2016-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Gabriele has a great place in a great neighborhood! We felt so comfortable as if we were staying with family. We were really able to rest and rejuvenate here. We knew exactly what to expect of her and the beautiful room because her description and photos are accurate. The room is a great amount of space! She kindly stocks the refrigerator with drinks and provided fruits, snacks and coffees (a new Keurig machine). These were warm and friendly touches. I loved the bedding and towels, enjoyed the reading material, and appreciated the book Gabriele put together to explain the local attractions and restaurants. There is also great privacy. Gabriele was very easily accessible and eager to assist however possible. The home is easily accessible to the bike path (can walk or ride there), the lake ( car/bike), and downtown Burlington (car/bike). I am very pleased with this location and Gabriele!!

This ideal "ski-retreat" is a cozy, rustic and spacious loft for up to four people. Close to Sugarbush (9 miles) & Mad River ski areas (11 miles) and the beautiful towns of Waterbury & Waitsfield it is GREAT for couples, business travelers & families.
Our loft is fully equipped including washer/dryer, wifi, Apple TV. You can even enjoy views of Camel's Hump and Sugarbush from the deck!! Each side of our property is surrounded by grazing cows whom have been known to sneak out and invite themselves over for a Friday night social on occasion. See our Guidebook for local spots including hikes, restaurants and stores to buy supplies for those of you cooking in house. We have every possible kitchen utensil one would need for a successful night in the kitchen. To those not looking to entirely 'unplug' in the serene Mad River Valley please note: we have perfect cell reception (which a majority of The Valley does not). Also, the Apple TV hangs over the bed where you can satisfy your daily Netflix or Hulu requirements. On our first floor rests a terrific Pottery Barn leather sofa next to the bed - in the loft we have an air mattress for your convenience. We've been ambitiously expanding the gardens. Enjoy the new fire pit : we have the wood just bring the kindling....
We are nestled in the hills of the Valley on a beautiful dirt road perfect for long walks and exploring. Just one mile away is a trail where you can walk along the Mad River, something we greatly enjoy.
  • The inside is beautiful. Very homey, and a nice open layout. The amenities were easy to use. There's a nice little creek that runs next to the building. Even with the warm weather there was a nice breeze from the water source and many trees surrounding the area. Very pretty view and easily accessible fire pit, which we unfortunately didn't have time to use... an extra day added to the trip would have been perfect. Lots of little shops and restaurants close by, and it's an easy drive to other towns! Great price for the location and quality of the living space. Jamie and Ellis were helpful with any questions that we had and also flexible with our check in!

    Rachel 2017-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect spot for our family traveling through Vermont. We had been camping so this place felt like a treat for us. My kids (10 and 12) loved having the loft to themselves. There were extras that made us feel like home. We loved this spot! Good communication and very reasonably priced!

    Christia2017-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our time in the cabin! The place was secluded and perfect! Ellis was very nice and personable and had the most adorable dog, Josie. We will be back!

  • Super little place for a family ski vacation - you can see Sugarbush from the window! Was perfect for our family of three. I appreciated the well stocked kitchen - I didn't even need to get out my box of essential supplies that I bring to rentals. :)

After a long day on the slopes or a day touring Ben and Jerry's, our local brewery's, or enjoying our foliage/landscape, settle in with a glass of wine and a warm jacuzzi tub.In the heart of the village, walking distance from local restaurants, brewery's, and shops as well as baseball fields, mountain bike trails, tennis courts and ice rinks. 5 miles from a beach where you can rent canoes, kayaks or paddle boards or just enjoy the sun. At the end of the day cozy up on a king sized bed or wind down watching Netflix's.
Please let me know if you have a cedar allergy as we keep most of the blankets in a cedar chest. I have one set that I don't, if needed. I usually put out fresh flowers so let me know if allergies to them as well. Enjoy the remote control candles around the jetted tub. Save money with a full size kitchen or walk to local restaurants. We have a coffee maker available with local coffee. The living room and bedroom are one room so the space is really best for 1 person or a couple.
Vt is the safest state in the nation and Waterbury is a small community of about 5000 people where everyone says hello and looks out for each other and welcomes visitors.
  • Amy was a fantastic host. Made herself very available. Greeted us when we arrived and showed us the space. (Which was very clean) Big perks were the waffle iron, the jacuzzi, Netflix, and one of the most comfy beds compared to any other airbnb we've stayed to prior. Would recommend this spot 100% if looking for a couple's getaway. Also prohibition pig for beer and bbq and Maxi's for breakfast were within walking distance.

    Jon2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Convenient location right off the highway in the heart of Waterbury. Cozy home with most comfortable bed I've had on any trip! Our host Amy was there to welcome us and show us around the place and offer her help or advice on our stay in Vermont. The place was well stocked with basic kitchen essentials and a bonus water-jet tub for a relaxing evening after exploring the beautiful state.

    Katie2017-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and excellent hosts! Check-in was easy and it looks just like the pictures. The kitchen is great for making breakfast and has plenty of space. There is tons of off street parking and it is really close to downtown Waterbury. The room was comfortable and even though it was very hot for Vermont, there was AC and a fan we could use. We really liked it and would go back here!

    Nora2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Amy and Mike's place was a nice location for a weekend getaway! The apartment very clean and spacious. The bathtub was amazing and the access to Netflix was just as good. The kitchen, while stocked with minimal groceries, was enough to get us through the weekend. They even provided us with waffle/pancake mix, a waffle maker, coffee, and tea! I didn't want to leave as it was one of the most comfortable Airbnb's I have had the pleasure of experiencing. I hope to get back soon, thank you Amy & Mike!

    Nagham2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • The jacuzzi tub is most certainly a highlight! It's also very close to the center of Waterbury, so you can walk right over and find delicious meals. It's also very close to Stowe and right near the highway to get you to Montpelier. It was cozy and spacious, and I had a great time.

    Amanda2017-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really awesome 3 night stay at this place. Everything was so clean and spacious. The bath tub was wonderful and relaxing and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in. Also, we truly loved the whole town of Waterbury. Thank you to Amy and Mike for making our stay here everything we were looking for on our vacation and then some. We hope to come back sooner rather than later.

    Nicole2017-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Mike and Amy's was superb and this entire area completely stole our hearts! We hiked Bingham Falls which we high recommend! It's short and steep, but an amazing view at the end and tons of places to swim in the river down stream! We also ventured into Burlington which is such a beautiful town! We loved being able to walk to dinner every night! Prohibition Pig and The Reservoir were outstanding and had amazing beer lists. The bath tub with jets back at the room were perfect for a night of relaxation after our hike! We also loved the full kitchen and found a local grocery store with fresh eggs, bacon, and a loaf of bread and made breakfast both days! We cannot wait be able to visit again! Thanks Amy and Mike!!

    Tiffany2017-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Amy and Mike's place is perfect if you want a romantic getaway in central Vermont. It's located very close to downtown Waterbury which features several great restaurants (Prohibition Pig and The Reservoir were two favorites). There is also a great market and cellar beer store within walking distance if you want to stay in a make a meal or two. The kitchen is fantastic and has all the supplies you need. We really appreciated being able to make waffles one morning. Waterbury is also a short drive to Stowe and a longer drive to Burlington if you want to explore more of Vermont. Amy and Mike were easy to communicate with and made our stay so enjoyable.

  • My husband and I were looking to getaway for our babymoon. This was the perfect place to unwind and completely relax. The view of the lake was beautiful all times of the day, especially during sunset. We airbnb often and this is by far the best place we have stayed. I'm not a fan of clutter (and most airbnb's have too much chaos in the house from too many 'things'). However, Sarah's place was clutter-free and nicely decorated. We had some movies on our computer that we wanted to watch and luckily Sarah's place had an HDMI cable so we got to cozy up on the couch and watch movies. I cooked most of the weekend and was glad Sarah's kitchen was fully stocked with everything I needed (she even had a blender so I was able to make smoothies!) The master bedroom was amazing. There was a small balcony that overlooked the lake. The bed was plush and sheets were clean and comfortable. The ceiling fan kept us cool at night. The bathroom was fully updated and beautiful. We can't wait to visit again. Thanks Sarah!!

    Mai2017-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, clean house, gorgeous view, and Sarah made everything so easy! Great communication but also complete privacy for a much-needed quiet weekend away.

    Jennifer2017-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is a small, beautifully designed house with very interesting features. It is well equipped with everything you need including wonderful beds and linens. We stayed over Christmas when the lake was covered with snow and it was magical. I can only imagine what it is like in the summer when you can use the outside space. In my experience of airbnb's, this was definitely the best.

    Patti2016-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful weekend at Sarah's house.

    Jennifer2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • My family (my wife and two boys) and I absolutely loved our stay at Sarah's Lake House. The home is situated on a quiet hill next to the lake as pictured. The pictures however do not do it justice. I had the opportunity to speak with Sarah one afternoon during our stay and she was just as pleasant as our stay in her home. I half joked that I wanted to live at the lake year round. It's been almost a full 24 hours back home, and I still am feeling the lingering effects of the calming water behind the house. We will be back. Technical Notes: You can't beat the location for other touristy things as well. (Ben & Jerry Tour/20 minutes away) (Burlington/25 minutes or so). The Alchemist (40 minutes) (Camel's Hump/1hr 30 minutes). The home was clean and inviting. The kitchen was well appointed and the cable wifi was fast when needed (I spent more time looking at the lake than a screen though. I encourage you to do they same). Thank you Sarah.

    Billy2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautifully serene location. We brought our 2 year old chocolate lab, Maggie and we were married the day before the arrival. We wanted a short but relaixng getaway so we didn't simply come home from our wedding to laundry and cleaning. We spoke with Sarah on the phone the day after we arrived and she was a joy to talk to. We can't wait to come back and we wish we had made the getaway a little bit longer.

    Katlyn2017-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • The house is in pristine condition. Spacious and tastefully decorated with some interesting architectural and design flairs. Because of the proximity to the water from the living room, you can almost imagine you're floating aboard a yacht while you sip wine and stare into the distance. So relaxing... The appliances in the kitchen are new and in excellent condition. The furniture is neat and clean. A very comfortable property with numerous outdoor seating options. Very quiet and remote where one can get away from it all while still being close to nearby restaurants and fairly close to Burlington (a twenty minute drive). Be sure to visit the Bearded Frog in Shelburne for their duck burger. It's unbelievable.

Old world class meets laid back Vermont charm....a perfect Mad River Valley getaway. Conveniently located on a quiet and beautiful dirt road just one mile from route 100 and 4.5 miles from downtown- enjoy views of Camels Hump and Sugarbush from the private deck.
Persian rugs, homage to Renoir, and an original Grandma Moses relay a sense of wonder while reminders of our love for skiing will most certainly not be over shadowed. We have a washer/dryer & a robustly supplied kitchen equipped with practically anything you need for a successful night as chef. A queen air mattress and queen futon in addition to our full size bed make this space very workable for groups both small and big. Enjoy a Camels Hump sunset on the deck and then head down to our fire pit for s'mores and good tales. We know you will love it here in this first floor apartment.
We live exactly one mile from a beautiful riverside trail perfect for an easy sunset walk. Our road is simply beautiful with spectacular trees and plenty of cows you can see and hear from the house.

  • This place is so cute and so is the area/neighborhood it's located in. When I planned this trip, I wanted to stay somewhere that was in a country setting, away from the big city, and this more than met my expectations: we were within 10 minutes of the local market and city center; a short drive from Stowe, the picturesque small town; there was a farm with fresh meats, egg, and corn just down the road; and just past it was a covered bridge (one of the things Vermont is famous for). The apartment had all the basics for cooking at home (which we did on three occasions), it accommodated up to 6 people, and the wifi worked very well. Jamie and Ellis communicated with me via email just before the trip letting me know they were available at any time and getting access to the property was easy. It was fun waking up to cows mooing outside our door and we absolutely loved seeing the free-roaming bunny rabbits at the farm at the corner of our street (we're big city girls). It was so very peaceful out there, the air smelled wonderful, and we could see lots of stars in the sky at night. It would have been nice to use the fire pit out front but it was not cold enough and to be honest we were very cozy indoors. I would definitely rent this place again.

  • This is an enchanting little apartment with a babbling brook right outside the front door! Everything is clean, lovely and comfortable, and it is sooooo quiet and peaceful. This place is on a packed dirt road (I think? not an expert here) in the middle of mad river valley - with cows and sheep and farmland and woods all around. It's a small drive from town, so you might want to plan out how you're going to do meals since you'll be in the country. I got a chance to meet the hosts, and they are both lovely. It's a new listing, so if there is something in the kitchen you need or want for your stay, be sure to check with them on how it's set up. It's an ideal get away for some peace and quiet, and I suspect a really nice base for skiing or hiking (I was more in the peace and quiet camp) :-) I strongly recommend this listing or the one upstairs!!

My home is a beautiful and spacious two story dwelling located on the 2nd & 3rd floor of a historic barn in Waterbury. Each spacious bedroom has a hotel quality queen size bed and 3 rooms have sky lights. We are located between Ben & Jerry's and Cider Mill & above my restaurant w/ great local beer, farm 2 table food, live entertainment & a yoga studio. Walk the community path to downtown Waterbury or jump on rt. 100 and b in Stowe in 10 mn/ Burlington in 30. Please msg me b4 instant booking.
This iconic barn was once a working Dairy barn that was converted into a wooden toy factory in the 60's. It then became an iconic ski restaurant in the 70's and operated with acclaim for 40 years. I purchased and started renovating the space in 2015. Everyone is blown away by how spacious this place is. Huge bedrooms with high quality queen size beds. Three rooms feature sky lights and all have spacious closets. There are two full size living rooms with flat screen TV's and amazon fire sticks for streaming your favorite shows. 8-10 people can seat at each the two dining tables and there is a full size, fully equipped kitchen for preparing meals. We have a restaurant and yoga/wellness studio under and next to the apartment ent. Noise can be an issue in one of the bedrooms but ear plugs are an easy solution and we work hard to accommodate everyone to ensure a wonderful stay. The property is adjacent to one of the top gold courses in the state and you can walk along the community path to down town Waterbury. Takes about 25 minutes. I keep a few nice mowed trails on my property which is part of an important wild life corridor. You can explore the beautiful thatcher brook and may even be able to pull out a fish or two.
Waterbury Center is a true Vermont town. My entire family lives within 40 acres. We are home to some of the finest craft foods in the world including Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream, Heady Topper beer, Green Mountain Coffee and the Cider Mill. I love doing AirBnb and hosting great guests. That being said I am not a hotelier and people expecting hotel like accommodations and concierge services are not my ideal guests.
  • Everything great! Goog suggestion for restaurant and trip all around.

  • Ari was a great host. He was super laid back and yet very communicative about our arrival. He made sure he was available to give us a tour and answer any questions we had. The space was huge and very comfortable. It was a great location on a quiet street, yet close to town. We had everything we needed and would definitely stay there again if we are back in the area. Many thanks!

    Emily2016-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had an excellent stay! Ari was very welcoming and the place was very large the upstairs living room and deck space made this 4 bedroom home the perfect location for our group as well as the graduation festivities we had planned for a friend. The town of Waterbury Center was very quaint and welcoming! If you are looking for catering we used Blackdiamond and they were amazing!

    olivia2016-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I were visiting the area on a rainy evening, and after dinner, we decided not to drive back to where we were originally staying about 1.5 hours away. We were extremely grateful to have found Ari's place at the last minute. It i is lovely, spacious, and accommodated our group of 6 adults and 3 kids very well. Our only problem was with what Ari had already warned us before we decided to stay there--the music and noise from downstairs. The noise went on well past 2am during one of the evenings, but after we told Ari about it, the situation improved significantly the evening after.

    lucia2017-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience all around! The apartment was extremely easy to find and in a great location. Everything in the apartment was exactly as listed and our expectations where definitely exceeded! My wife and I were able to get into Burlington for a few hours and walk around/shop. We had lunch in Waterbury, great food all around! And, it's a quick drive into Stowe Village to all of the shops, restaurants, bars, resort and hiking trails! Ari is a great host and was very available, although we didn't really need anything else! :)

    Brendan2016-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a fun girls weekend getaway at Ari's place. The location was perfect and close to Stowe and Waterbury. Ari's place was clean and the pictures do not do it justice. We had 8 girls stay the weekend and it was more than spacious. Each of the bedrooms were comfortable with queen sized beds. We enjoyed the open kitchen and dining areas to make dinner together and play games at night. The deck was nice in the mornings to have coffee on. Ari was a great host and checked in on us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed to feel comfortable. Definitely check out the Zenbarn restaurant below for dinner. Every one of us enjoyed our meals. From the local farm to table cuisine, beers and ciders, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The Zenbarn was able to accommodate our large party for dinner without any issues. For our weekend getaway we could have not picked a better place to stay or location in Vermont. We were able to quickly get to the Spa, the Alchemist and Ben & Jerry's within minutes. We could not have asked for a better weekend away!

    caroline2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • The stay was great. All of the beds were super comfortable, well cleaned and as expected. The Zen barn restaurant/bar is gorgeous and has a great selection of food, beer and VT spirits. We had a great time.

    Ben2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely fantastic space and even better host! The space very easily accommodated our group of 8 with plenty of room to spare. Ari is also very easy to get in touch with and goes out of his way to make sure you have everything you need during your stay. Try his restaurant - Zenbarn - downstairs too...killer space! Waterbury is ideally located in the middle of everything you'd care to do in VT. Book with confidence!

  • Best value in the Burlington area without a doubt! Wonderfully comfortable, clean and a great spot for a get-away. Thank you for a great vacation spot!

  • AWESOME place that's tucked away near the lake. Would definitely stay there again. The fire pit was a total treat. :)

    Patrick2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Staying in this incredible home made our family vacation easy, comfortable, relaxing and fun! Margie and Brian were wonderful, communicating with us and attending to every detail. The house "extras," such as the gym, air hockey table, pool, and stunning lake views as well as the fire-pit on the second floor balcony became as much a part of our vacation as our daily excursions and activities. This was the perfect home base for us and our 2 young children. The house offers privacy while being centrally located to the lake and surrounding attractions (for which Brian and Margie provide plenty of brochures and information). We would come back in a heartbeat.

  • Had a lovely relaxing labor day weekend at this house. There is a beautiful view of the lake with the fire pit. The host was very responsive when contacted. The house is big and spacious. One note would be the Apple TV is not set up to stream digital content other that what is preloaded unto the device.

    Jenny2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • The house is magnificent. Fulfilled our family trip needs with allowing quiet space for children to rest and space for adult time as well. Nice travel time to downtown Burlington. Gracious hosts. Very clean! Thanks for a great stay!

    Christin2017-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • The house was in great shape. The kids loved the pool and game room downstairs. I would definitely rent again.

    Kevin2017-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing house and the owners know exactly what they're doing. Great communicators, terrific value and a perfect location. This house has everything you need for a quick weekend trip or a longer extended stay. Gorgeous and quiet backyard with a nice, little pool. Perfect for summer bbq or just entertaining a group of friends. I highly recommend staying at this house and almost guarantee you wont find a better value within a 30-45 minute of Burlington. Don't think twice. Book it.

  • Debbie and Jon were very welcoming and accomodating. I changed my plans several times and it was no problem for them at all. Very flexible and laid back. They have a fantastic house and property. The house is quite original with supporting frame of solid red oak and elements that were reused antiques. The interior space is lofty like a giant barn. Every morning I woke to friendly conversation with our hosts and another guest who was staying there (and an offer of coffee). What a great weekend getaway. I would definitely come back. Thanks so much!

  • The house is gorgeous! We had a very comfortable stay here. We were going to Stowe for a ski trip, but the host recommended us another place Sugarbush, which was amazing! The interior decoration is absolutely adorable. We also enjoyed the beautiful outside views. We would stay here again and recommend this house to my friends.

  • It's a beautiful house with tons of open space to hang out all together. The kitchen is totally awesome if you want to cook a group dinner. Hot tub is a nice addition too.

  • Amazing place! Beautiful setting and a wonderful hot tub.

    Hilary2017-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Bert and Sarah have a beautiful property and architecturally appealing Barnhouse that is accentuated by an underlying comedic flavor. Race cars painted on the farm equipment barn and an amusing fact sheet about themselves and how they met. There are a few choice art pieces precisely placed around the interior. Prompt to answer questions and Bert even grabbed a "Nantucket Nectars" umbrella (homage to their life there for 20 years) and placed it over the picnic table for their guests to shield themselves from the record-setting hot September sun in 2017. The scenery is epic and the hot tub works with ease. Keep in mind Bert's workshop is below the accommodations and there is occasional rustling around for a tool or maintenance item, but overall the owners give the guests their space. Be sure to help keep the heirloom property clean and tidy not only out of respect but also for the preservation thereof.

    John2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Ten of us rented the barn for the Green Mountain Stage Race. The attention to detail was really impressive, from the fully stocked kitchen to the kindling for the wood burning stove. The barn itself is also beautifully crafted and planned very well. and a warm place to relax and un-wind, either in the large rustic living room or the hot-tub on the deck. We also utilized the kitchen for cooking large meals. Overall it is an excellent value for groups and everyone had a great stay. Sarah and Bert went above and beyond with accommodations, even going so far as to drive us to a race after misplacing our car keys! Luckily with their help we made it to the race on time. The setting on the farm is beautiful with the pond just outside and mountains in the distance. The area is secluded, but a short drive to town should you need groceries. The location is also good for accessing the various ski areas, such as Sugarbush. Can't wait to come back next year...or in the winter!

New 4 bedroom duplex apartment on Battery Park just a few blocks from downtown, Church Street, and the major hotels where you can find some of the best dining in Burlington. A short walk to the waterfront. Within an hour's drive of major ski resorts.
This new duplex apartment incorporates space on the first and lower level of a 1905 house on Battery Park. Entrance to the apartment is through the original redstone foundation wall on the lower level. To the left is a gas fireplace, behind it a full bath with tile and stone shower. Original hand hewn posts (repurposed from a much earlier house that most likely stood on the property) divide a living room and kitchen with the dining room and stairs leading to the second level bedrooms and 2nd full bath. Floors on this level are a mixture of fir (original), pine (the subfloor repurposed from the attic), and birch (from a local mill). The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen as well as linens and towels.
The apartment is situated just blocks from downtown and the lakefront. The summer months are full of activity in both Battery Park just across the street from the apartment and in Waterfront Park just a short walk down the hill. A full schedule can be found at Burlington Parks Recreation & Waterfront's website. Battery Park is a great place to view sunsets, the Burlington Marathon, and the Independence Day fireworks. The winter months offer the best views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains from Battery Park.
  • We loved Rolf's place! Great location - we walked to dinner on Church street. Really well done renovation with clean, modern furnishings and all the amenities you need.

  • This is a great apartment in a great location. It is a very attractive and well appointed space, so well equipped and convenient. Very spacious, everything you could possibly need. Very nice to have 2 bathrooms. We had a great time and would go again. Host was very helpful in corresponding to pick up something we left behind.

    Sarah 2017-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent condition and terrific location.

    Bhavik2017-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Rolf's place was ideal for our visit, with plenty of room for two families. It was cool during some hot days, and there were many fans and air conditioners to assure our comfort. Rolf was easy to contact and the place was clean, comfortable, and calm. Being directly across from the park was also lovely. I would stay there again and happily recommend it to others.

    Celia2016-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment was the perfect place to warm up after a chilly half marathon in Burlington. The cozy living room, comfortable beds and two showers more than accommodated our group of 5. The location is walking distance to downtown and we found parking easy. We will be back.

    Lisa2016-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • Sigurd's place was well suited for our needs and exactly as described. The apartment was well furnished and stocked with everything a business traveller would need. It was clean, tidy and professionally presented.

  • Nice spot! Beds were very comfy.

  • We could not have been happier with Rolf's place. Communication prior to check-in was very clear with easy to follow instructions. The apartment was spotless and very charming. Location can't be beat!...a stone's throw from the water and just a few blocks walking to Church Street marketplace. Off-street parking was appreciated as well. We'll certainly be back here again. Thank you!

Great Burlington, VT location. Short walk to beach, bus and shopping. Private room with clean bedding and towels. Room has free Wifi and a TV with Roku. Our home also offers a large in ground swimming pool that Is open from 6/1-9/1. We do have pets but they are very friendly :). Home is currently under renovations. We try to hold off on interior renovations till we are guest free. Unfinished projects are around the house but entire house is functional and picked up when guest arrive.
It's a family neighborhood. Everyone is nice and helpful.
  • Great location near lake. Price is right. Friendly and welcoming hosts. I'll book again when in area.

    Ryan2017-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • Brittany was a great host and made check-in easy. Her house is close to the bike path and beach, which was great. There was a smell of smoke in the house, so if you are sensitive to smell, just be aware of this.

    Amy2017-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • I only stayed in Brittany's Place for one night but it was a god night. She allowed me to get comfortable & she communicated well!

    Amanda2017-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Brittany was a great host. Location is a lyft to downtown. Great find

    James2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Brittany and her partner (and their super cute pets) were very friendly and welcoming. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. Neighborhood was safe and the beach was a short (7 minute) walk away and offered a stunning view of Lake Champlain. Would stay with them again

  • Brittany made our stay in Burlington a fantastic experience. Couldn't be happier with our stay!

    Michael2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • The place is close to the bike path and beach, great location to stay for a short trip. The host and her partner were friendly and accommodating. Their dogs and cats were also very friendly.

    Jessica2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Brittany's home is so cozy. You do have to walk up some steep steps to get to your room. Once you are upstairs you get a cozy bed and a little basket filled with some essentials. There's a TV with Roku which was nice as my mother can't fall asleep without watching a little TV before bedtime. There's a full bath upstairs too. The location is only a few miles away from Church Street and the Lake. Brittany also had some to-go coffee in the morning for us which was very needed. I would absolutely recommend Brittany's place for a stop in Burlington!

  • On the car ride home, we decided this was a "top 10" family experience. The unit was perfect and exactly what we needed for our family of four. It was the wonderful weekend getaway and the kids loved the pool. As for other things in the area: we had lunch at the von trapp lodge, took a carriage ride around the property, the drove up Mount Mansfield twice to hike, played mini golf, & toured Ben and Jerry's. We could have stayed a whole week! Thanks for sharing your unit with us.

    Susan2014-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • The lodging was lovely. The room was beautiful and had nice amenities like iron, ironing board, mini kitchen and gas fireplace. We enjoyed the view of the pool and the mountains. There is so much to do in Stowe, we wished for more time.

The Master: Built by the Vanderbilts in 1895, this beautiful, bucolic craftsman-style cottage gives you the full Vermont experience. After the closing of the Vanderbilt-Webb estate, this area became part of Shelburne Farms and Museum. This Master bedroom features the most room, with a comfy Queen bed and a skylight!

  • I stayed here for two nights and both of my nights were fantastic. Daniel was amazing, greeting me and setting me up in my room and than talking about the area and things to do. There is a wonderful walking path down the road for either a nice run or walk to the lake. The history of the house and area was amazing as well and made for great side trips during the day. Burlington is just a short drive away if you want to go to the big city, but Shelburn is a wonderful small area with everything you need.

    Bob2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first time staying in an Airbnb and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The house is beautiful and lovely, just steps away from a cafe and a nice bar/restaurant as well as other amenities (great General Store!). The room was really nice with a comfy bed with lots of pillows and nice bedding, a big sky light and beautiful wood flooring. The weather was unusally hot for Vermont (87 degrees) and room fans were provided and left running upon my arrival. The shower was great and I especially enjoyed partaking of the wonderful selection of fancy soaps and shampoos (I assume they were there for me to use!). Towels were plentiful. Everything was EXACTLY as pictured/described in the listing. Russell was extremely helpful, answering all of my annoying newbie questions within minutes (seconds even?) and even though I never saw his brother, he sent me an email the day of my arrival with explicit instructions and made sure I knew that he was there in the house should I have needed anything. Russell and Daniel got it goin' on! Well done.

Apartment is walking distance to downtown and beautiful sunsets over Lake Champlain. Features: one large bedroom, a smaller bedroom that is filled with light, a cozy living space, a fully equipped kitchen, skylight over tub/shower.
We live downstairs from the apartment and are available to assist guests as needed We live in a diverse family neighborhood. We know many of our neighbors and frequently see them watching spectacular sunsets and walking dogs. We love that we live in a modest neighborhood but can walk to great downtown restaurants and have easy access to the Burlington bike path where we enjoy sweeping views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains. There are city buses to the Burlington sirport, about 4.5 miles away. The main bus station is less that a mile away and there are also closer bus stops. There is bus service to major cities in Vermont and there is Megabus service to Boston and NYC.

  • Polly and Carol were both wonderful hosts! They communicated with us promptly and thoroughly during the booking process. Carol greeted us upon arrival and made us feel completely at home! The apartment was even nicer than we imagined and incredibly homey. The cookies and coffee were a really nice touch :) The location is ideal for a weekend in Burlington. The apartment is a very short walk from Church St. so if you would prefer not to drive at night, you have that option. There is plenty of safe street parking on their road. If you are looking for an airbnb in Burlington, I don't think you could choose a better one! I hope to return soon and stay with Carol and Polly again!

  • We spent 1 day at Dave and Vicky's house. they were very caring and did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. they gave us some good advice on what to see and to go in Burlington, and their place is in a great location in Shelburne close to the lake and near Burlington. I highly recommend staying with Dave and Vicky.

    James2017-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Dave and Vik were fun and gracious hosts! We really enjoyed our stay. The room is clean and welcoming, the bed and pillows are quite comfy. The kitchen has treats and enough for light breakfast/coffee... and the creamer is AMAZING! We had breakfast with them in the morning which was lovely, not that they will do this for everyone so don't have that expectation, but we're pretty awesome so we think that's why. You'll very much enjoy your stay with Dave and Victoria.

    Emily2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is our second time with Dave and Vicki! There are some Airbnb hosts who just go above and beyond what you would expect and Dave and Vicki are those kinds of hosts. They have become people I am grateful to call friends and they make Vermont a place we want to come back to.

Pam is a wonderful host and offers lovely touches like: shampoo/conditioner, coffee and eggs, fresh cut flowers, ready made outdoor fire. The home itself is beautifully designed and decorated. We are interested in building our own passive house, so this was fascinating and educational for us. Highly recommend staying here!!
