  • Claudia's place is in a great location - close to the Malecon with bars etc. and right around the corner from our favourite seafood tacos at McFisher. Claudia is a lovely host who's always up for a chat and happy to recommend good things to see, do and eat. Room was clean and air conditioned. Highly recommended.

  • My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at Claudia's place. The house was a lovely traditional home and the room was spacious and clean. We love the open areas of the house and the natural light. Drinking water, coffee and drinks are provided as well. Claudia was very attentive during our stay, we were feeling under the weather she went out of her way to take care of us. We would love to come back to La Paz and stay with Claudia again. Muchas gracias por todo!

  • Very nice place to stay in La Paz!! highly recommended, price ia right and it is very nice and clean!! It's definitely worth the stay, I had an amazing time and bed was nice and comfy! I will definitely choose this place once I return!

  • The location is pretty much what I was looking for, a few blocks from everything, there are a couple of restaurants close to it but not so close to let you sleep calmly and quietly, the place was beautiful and Claudia has everything in place to make you feel like you are in home. Claudia is a great host, the advices she gave were great and she was kind at every moment. I would definitely come back to LA Paz and their beautiful people, but also would recommend and try to book again at her place when I'm back.

  • This is a lovely place, close to the Marina. The space is just great and I would recommend it to anyone!!

  • Claudia's very responsive, should you have questions regarding check-in, attractions, food, and the house address itself. i wouldn't hesitate to get in touch with her. very kind, helpful, english speaking lady. if she's not available when you check-in, but you've informed her your arrival schedule, she'll have Martha hand you the keys. if you like the airbnb experience, houses in Mexico opens up into a little heaven of its own, this is one such beautiful example. enjoy the stay~

  • It was a perfect stay for what we came for. We stayed 3 nights enjoying outdoor activities in La Paz like snorkeling with sea lions and whale sharks. The room was perfect and the emplacement was excellent. It is right in the northern part of the center. Thanks Claudia

  • We had a great time staying in Claudia's beautiful home. The listing itself is gorgeous, spotless and very well equipped for all sorts of travelers' needs - including a very cute dog. Check in was seamless and Claudia was extremely friendly and helpful through the length of our trip. The location is also great, less than a 1 min walk from the seafront. Would definitely recommend!

Our house is only two blocks away from the Malecon, a board walk which hugs the edge of the bay and spans the entire length of the city of La Paz. We are walking distance to every amenity you may need. Coffee shops, restaurants, bars, shops, and more. Many of the recreational activities in La Paz are centered around the beautiful Sea of Cortez. Whether you are into fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, paddle boarding, or whale watching you will fall in love with this charming city.
My place is close to family-friendly activities, public transport, nightlife, and the city center. You’ll love my place because we are secluded and hidden from the street, with a beautiful big well lit courtyard. It is perfect for a couples retreat, solo diving adventurers, and of course families with little ones, or not so little ones. While we provide everything you may need for your stay, including coffee, this is a minimalistic Mexican style accomodation, offering an authentic experience.
  • Such a fantastic Home! Siobhan works hard to make it welcoming and a true Mexican experience! The location is safe, close to the malacon, a 15 minute walk to the bus station, (10 minutes probably if you go down and walk on the malacon) we traveled by bus so this was great! Mexicos bus systems are known for being great and that hold true here! We took the bus to the beach 3 different times, once to Playa Balandra and once to Playa Tecalote, both wonderful. Balandra great for families and small children, no toilets, does have food carts. The bus comes down to the turn around to drop off and pick up, very handy and goes to both beaches every day, check out the (EMAIL HIDDEN) or at the terminal! Tecalote is also family friendly just busier and more wave action but truly, not much! This one was our favorite of the two just because we enjoyed the water and sunbathing and then could go over to one of the restaurants and/bars and have something to eat or cold drink! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on Sunday afternoon starting around 4 pm they have a classic rock jam session and open mic with dancing, we had so much fun. Amazing food very close by all up and down the malacon which comes alive at night in true Mexican tradition! You won't go wrong visiting this house while in La Paz!

  • Lovely place close to the malecon and only a few blocks from downtown. There are many places to eat and grocery shop near by. The home is basic but still has character. It had all the necessary items we needed to cook a nice meal too. You will need to purchase your own charcoal if you plan to use the BBQ. Check-in was easy since Siobhan has a manager who checks you in. If you plan on visiting secluded beaches like we did I suggest bringing your own beach umbrella. We will definitely be staying here next year!

  • Had a wonderful stay! The location is perfect, close to the malecón, grocery stores and plaza. We liked neighborhood, and loved the courtyard. If you have kids under 5, the balcony and stairs might cause you some stress. Other than that, highly recommended.

  • The house is very cozy, nice and close to the center and Malecon. We were very comfortable. I highly recommend it.

  • We had a lovely stay at Siobhan's place in La Paz. Great location in a cute neighborhood, we could walk everywhere. The little casita was comfortable and had all we needed for a relaxing trip. The water pressure in the shower isn't great, but I hear that is common in La Paz, and it didn't ruin our trip at all. Igor was there to meet us when we checked in and was helpful when we needed anything or giving us tips on enjoying the town.

    Mark and Liz2017-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is great... there's AC and it's very pretty and quaint and has all you need. However, there are dogs in the house behind that wake you every morning. there's a lot of leaking if it rains - we had a puddle in the kitchen. check the weather to make sure there is no rain com ing if you're going to stay here. Because of the storm, there was no water the last two days - we couldn't flush the toilet or shower. There is an outdoor shower downstairs, but it wasn't very cleanly, there were no lights and there were pests in there. it was a horrible showering experience. we ended up checking into a hotel and found relief at last! Also - there is no wifi. it's patchy at best.

  • Very nice place. Enjoyed it a lot.

    nim2017-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • A really good location in La Paz, near restaurants, shops and the beach. Moreover the house is hidden of the road, making it very quiet and away from any car fumes. The house was nicely and tastefully decorated and Siobhan provide good map of the area and places we could go shopping or visit. We had very nice Christmas away from home.

The terrace has a table and four chairs plus two lounge chairs. There is a nice kitchen with table and 4 chairs, refridgerator, electric 4-burner stove/oven, a blender, toaster, coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes and utinsils for preparing food and cleaning up. A fold out couch is in the living room which is a nice furnished sitting area. There is a TV with cable service. The Wifi signal is good.
You are a stones throw from the waterfront where a wide sidewalk can be observed from your terrace. The entire community enjoys walking and bicycling along this waterfront promenade. Throughout the summer you can hear the kids playing soccer and volleyball into the late hours. We have a nice little grocery store about 6 minutes walk from our building. There are several if not many very good restaurants and taco stands within easy walking distance. A hospital/clinic is located about 12 minutes walk away; a distance of 6 short blocks.
  • The Nest in La Paz was fabulous. Clean, spacious and well kept with a great view over the water. Estella and Mohamed were great and very helpful. Breakfast was great and their recommendations for lunch and dinner were amazing.

  • We stayed at hotel gaviotas, because "the nest" was already occupied. Linda and her staff prepared vegan breakfast for my girlfriend.

  • Estelle was a fantastic host who was responsive at short notice. The room was super Clean and comfortable and perfect for the two of us. She helped us book whale sharks and made the most delicious coconut and pineapple jam ever. Thanks Estelle

  • The location of condo is great, the service is very warmth. We loved the condo and can't wait to come back. Breakfast was delicious and the view was awesome. Gail was very attentive and helped us get a tour to Espíritu Santo island at a great price, you should try it too!

  • We stayed all in all 3 nights at b&b in La Paz managed by Estelle. She and Mohamed were very welcoming, flexible with check-in/check-out times. Breakfast was very good. The place is spacious, beds are comfortable. If I'm back in La Paz I would definately stay there again.

    Lina2016-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • The room was actually part of a BnB, beside a hotel. It was a great setup as we had the feel of being in an apartment - including kitchen and privacy - as well as the amenities of a hotel such as the front desk. Estelle was a great host and I would have no hesitation recommending this AirBnB to others

    Elliott2015-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great place very romantic. The views are awesome. The staff very friendly. The pool private, with access to hotel pool. There is a binder on the table with info on things to do and places to eat. And everything is in walking distance. In the binder there is a pottery shop I spent $200 us on one of a kind a must. Next time I need more time to explore

Beautiful oceanview home from 1920´s right on the malecon. Spacious 3 bedrooms with modern touches but keeping its original essence. This is a place where you can enjoy your vacation in a place full of history and true mexican charm!!!
Welcome to Malecon 663! This is a beautiful mexican home sitting on the malecon front of the City of Peace overlooking the bay and its visitors go by. The house was built in 1920's and it was used by local fishermen. Still has raw finishes in the walls and the original floors. Mexican details in each corner with hand made embroidered cushions, flowers in the patterns of its blankets fabrics, bright colors to enhance our mexican heritage. This home also offers lots of natural light, wooden beams on the ceiling as well as palo de arco and two terraces to enjoy the view. Enjoy a traditional Mexico living in this historic jewel and live daily a unique experience in beautiful La Paz.
Walking distance from the farmer´s market, food district, bus station to go to the beach. Best location in town!
  • We had a great stay at this house! Conveniently located just a short walk to many shops and restaurants. Lovely views from the balcony. Spacious, clean and very homey. Only thing is can be loud at night with the cars. Annabelle is extremely helpful and quick to respond. Would recommend.

    Sophie2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Annabelle was a very friendly and helpful host! She was responsive to our needs and provided information about local festivities, restaurants, and activities. The house is in a great location: adjacent to malecon, restaurants, stores, and the bus station. But, keep in mind that the house is located next to a very busy four lane boulevard, so the street noise may be an issue.

    Frances2016-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • Truly beautiful home! Thank you so much for having us! Anabelle is helpful and prompt. She helped us arrange an amazing snorkeling boat ride with the whale sharks and we used many of her suggestions for restaurants and cafes. The home is clean and beautifully decorated. Because we were a group of 5, there was sometimes some traffic for the one bathroom; however, this was a small inconvenience that went unnoticed in comparison to the other accommodations offered by the space. Prime location as well, overall two thumbs up from our crew!

    Domenica2017-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Annabelle's home in La Paz provided our party of five (two couples/one single) a wonderful place to rest our heads for the one night we were in town. It's in a wonderfully walkable area right across the street from the bay's esplanade with the city hub of restaurants, bars and clubs within easy walking distance. There's a bar next door and two restaurants on either side, so very close to things. The house is brightly furnished and comfortable. Beds and linen are of very nice quality. The house has a great old world charm. Kitchen was fully equipped. Annabelle was very friendly and accessible and we had an easy time getting into the property and sorting any questions. Things to note about the property: If you're a large party, there is only one shower for all. Also, for those light sleepers or those adverse to traffic noise, the house is located right on the busy Esplanade street which has a fair amount of traffic during the day, although it is pretty quiet in the wee early morning hours. All in all, we really enjoyed our quick stay, loved the location for our La Paz explorations for the cinco de mayo celebrations, and Annabelle was great. Thank you!

Best location in La Paz! In the heart of the historic district. This casita was recently renovated with all the modern amenities. Located in the 'epicenter' of La Paz by the cathedral, fine restaurants, coffee houses, arts & organic market.
The best location in La Paz! In the center of everything! One minute walk to the Malecon. This 2 story casita next to a 120 year old Tamarind tree. The studio (downstairs) has a kitchen, dining table and a sofa bed that makes 2 twins or a Queen with extra thick orthopedic foam, very comfortable. There is a bathroom downstairs and also one upstairs with the bedroom which is furnished with a full size bed and a twin memory foam bed. Super high efficiency AC units in both rooms. It is on the same property with Casa de la Vaquita which was built in the 1890's, sharing a common courtyard.
    Historic district. Very safe.
  • There are no words to describe how relaxed I felt after vacationing in La Paz! I am sure that it would not have been the same without Christine, Kevin and their friends! Christine is full of fabulous recommendations, local knowledge and a joyful energy that’s infectious! The moment we met her, we knew we’d be friends! That being said, I’m sure that if a guest wanted privacy, she and her husband would be more than happy to oblige. As for the Casita, it’s cozy, inviting, clean and tastefully decorated. They’ve thought through details such as providing a cooler and even a local pay as you go cel phone. It’s conveniently located in an extremely safe neighborhood and is walking distance to fantastic foodie restaurants, banks and the bus station in addition to the Malecon. I will certainly be back! Thanks again Christine and Kevin! Please send our best to your friends!

  • The house is great (there's no other word). Extremely well situated, well decorated, comfortable. You have everything you need to cook, wash your clothes, ... You are We had the opportunity to visit also the other house and it's gorgeous. Christine was very welcoming, very reactive, very flexible also regarding arrival and departure times. This was our best experience in Baja California.

    Natacha2016-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Christine's casita was perfect for us because it provided enough space that our children could stay downstairs and we could stay upstairs. The beautiful decor with local themes made this place fun and memorable. We enjoyed the layout which included an inner courtyard and balcony with a partial view of the bay. The location was great: safe, close to nice restaurants, a grocery store, a bakery and best of all, the boardwalk. Christine was very welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable about the local area. She provided towels, toiletries, beach towels, and drinking water which we really appreciated. In sum, we a had a wonderful time and would return.

    Deirdre2014-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful stay at Casita Tamarindo! Christine was a delight (efficient, personable, kind) and her house is beautiful--perfectly appointed with gorgeous details. This house is in a fantastic location. It is just two blocks from the water, but, more importantly in my view, it is minutes away from excellent restaurants, the local farmer's market, a grocery store, shops, bars, etc., making the experience very authentic and convenient. The tamales sold across the street are REALLY GOOD and dirt cheap. I'll admit that when I first arrived, I was slightly disappointed because my expectations had been different, but not for long. Although there is nothing inaccurate or dishonest in the casita description, the house is small and really best suited for 1 or 2 people. It can sleep 4, but that involves pulling out the sofa in the living room/kitchen every night. We were only 2 people and the house was fine for us, but the master bed is a double (full size) and my husband and I could not fit on it comfortably. We ended up sleeping in separate beds! But all in all, we felt right at home after a couple of hours and hated to leave it after just one week! The beautiful court yard feels like an extension of the house, but it is shared with another house. We were lucky and had very nice neighbors. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Christine!

    Claire2015-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • This casita was perfect, and Christine is the best! She was able to accommodate us fairly last minute, met us upon arrival, and always answered our call to help us with anything we asked. The casita was a great comfort, we felt spoiled! And the location cannot be beat! We look forward to visiting beautiful La Paz again, and staying at this casita. Definitely would recommend.

    Monique2015-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Christine graciously upgraded me and my travel companion, Laura, to the Casita Vaquita (aka "Historic home in downtown La Paz") during a weekend visit. It was absolutely beautiful and beyond what the photos even display. The home is impeccably decorated and felt luxurious, especially when coming into a cool A/C home after beating the heat at nearby beaches. Christine and her husband were very nice and offered great tips for nearby places to check out. The patio area was shared with another guest named Wendy who was kind and a great neighbor. We would come back in a heartbeat! If you're tempted to pick the Casita Tamarindo over the Historic home - opt for the latter if possible! Both are amazing (Wendy let us take a peak) but the extra space is worth the additional cost. Can't wait to come back!

    Emilly2015-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Christine and her husband were absolutely wonderful hosts--very prompt in responding to any questions or needs and super flexible, kind enough to allow for an early check in and late check out. The apartment is absolutely lovely--stylish decor, comfortable and conveniently located. You also have access to the courtyard and washer and dryer, which is such a nice perk for those longer stays. Major plus is all the detailed info (recommendations, maps, etc.) they provide and to top it off, a Mexican cell phone for your use during your stay. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting La Paz!

    Kristyn2015-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Couldn't recommend this place more. The casita is beautifully decorated and well supplied with everything you could need. Lots of brilliant little touches to make your trip as comfortable and easy as possible. I can't really imagine finding a better place to stay in La Paz.

Less than a block away from the waves, Casa Terrazas is nestled in a small street, guarded among trees and quiet neighbors. You’ll need no car when you wish to take a stroll in the sand or visit the many nearby restaurants. With 3 bedroom suites, an incredible rooftop with kitchenette and hot tub, and tasteful interior design, this house shows the best that La Paz has to offer.
Weekly housekeeping service is included in long-term rentals (>1 month). Our cleaning products are homemade and synthetic-free. Childcare and catering services provided upon request. The owner is familiar with local fishermen who can provide tours to swim with the whale shark & sea lion cubs, snorkeling for clams, to the Isle of Espíritu Santo, or fishing in the area. Nobody knows these waters and the marine life like they do.
The proximity to the beach ensures that you’ll need no car when you wish to take a stroll in the sand or visit the many traditional Mexican seafood (and other) restaurants nearby. While having the culinary and nightlife attractions within walking distance, you’ll enjoy the tranquility of this seldom-disturbed city block.
  • Casa Terraza has been wonderful place to stay - very spacious, ideally for family or bigger groups as all three bedrooms come with in Suite bathroom. The Terrasse offers a great view into the bay and is great for sundowners and there is even a hot tube. The house is well equipped and you can reach restaurants easily by foot. Maria was very helpful. A clear recommendation.

  • The house was very nice, well appointed and clean. Three large en-suite bedrooms, plus a big living room/kitchen/diner with everything you would need. The gated parking space was also a good place to leave the rental car. The roof terrace with jacuzzi was lovely and the views over the bay great. I didn't meet Maria herself but she answered all my queries almost immediately and was an excellent host. She had someone meet me at the door with the key and everything went smoothly. Given I was required to sign a contract on entering the property I believe this is a holiday let but that didn't detract from it being a great stay.

  • The house is quite lovely and impeccable, well-equipped and very nicely appointed. Its location is excellent. We especially enjoyed our breakfasts and drinks on the patio and rooftop.

  • This is our second stay at this property. Our previous stay was with the former owners and if anything the house is nicer now than it was then. Yolanda and Anna met us at the property and the check-in was very easy. The best thing about this house is its location. It is only a block from the Malecon and a number of very good restaurants both on the Malecon and in the neighborhood. The Tailhunter restaurant and bar as a block away and a great place to watch sports. There are several good restaurants on Madero, Bellisario Dominguez and Revolution in addition to the Malecon. All within walking distance. The house is basically four levels. The ground level with security parking in the bedroom. The main living area with the kitchen and a half bath and entrance which is one flight up, The third level which has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and the rooftop terrace with a Jacuzzi, barbecue and food preparation area. The rooftop has great views of La Paz Bay, The Malecon and sunsets. There are a lot of stairs, 48 from the street to the rooftop, but the view is worth it. The kitchen is adequately supplied with the necessary cooking utensils however there is no dishwasher. The water is not drinkable and you must provide your own after the first 20 L bottle that will be there waiting for you. The nearby grocery stores sell these bottles of water or you can make arrangements with Anna to have them delivered on Wednesday. Be aware that you are required to pay for these and unless you have a car it's a long walk to carry 40+ pounds in each bottle of water. The delivery is well worth the few extra pesos per bottle. The two of us found that we went through two bottles of water per week. We were there for five weeks and after lugging three bottles up to the house opted for the delivery service. We really enjoy La Paz and feel perfectly safe and comfortable here. It is not a tourist trap like Cabo, Mazatlan or Puerto Vallarta. There are no timeshare salesmen hassling you on every corner. This is more of a true Mexican town. It seemed like there were way more Mexican tourists than gringo tourists. We will be back. I would definitely recommend this property for your stay.

The house is a place to have a good time, the colors and the brick in the walls bring you a nice feeling, the location is great, you have the malecon at three short blocks and restaurants, supermarkets and bars are around, in the front terrace you have a table with a really friendly space, it invites you to have a coffee, wine and music or a dinner, in the area you will find all the services as tours, paddle boarding and the sidewalk of the malecon, witch is a long training and relaxing area.
The house, together with an apartment next door, used to be a hostel and without planning, this house became into the meeting area, for some no planed reason the disposition of the house and some friendly feeling, is a place where you will spend nice time, it has character in his walls, we make the work to bring the bricks out, so they can bee seen, the location is really good, most travelers has the option of party in the night, and come back walking, because all the fun is right there at one, two, three or depends on witch place you want to visit, and at the same time, to go to the beach or to take a tour, is really easy, all the tourist offices and the transportation are at walking distances.
Theres a unique combination that keeps people interested in this area, and is because you can rest, there's no noise and at the same time you're in the middle of all the action, bars and the malecon with the beautiful sunsets. There's a market at 3 blocks, you would find all what you need, also coffeeshops.

The units have two large bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is a kingsized bed in the front bedroom which opens onto the front terrace. The terrace has four chairs and a large table plus a lounge chair. Both bathrooms have showers.
Bed and Breakfast, plus walk to everything in La Paz. Our location is convenient, in an old traditional neighborhood not far from the old downtown and very close to the waterfront promenade knows as El Malecon. Our five story building has a modern elevator and our suites have the best views in town. Our two bedroom, two bath condos with big covered terraces each enjoy a wide ocean view and are furnished like home with well equipped kitchens. Our heated pool is long enough to swim laps in and is well protected from the winter sea breezes. Breakfast is served poolside from 8 to 10am. Your hosts, myself, Gail Theurel, and my husband, Gonzalo, will share travel advice and tips to help you make the most of your visit to our area. See our guest's comments on www.tripadvisor, then contact us direct to make your reservations. The prices for each suite given on our website at www.lasgaviotasresortlapaz.com is for two guests in the suite. Add $10US for each additional person. Up to six people can comfortably be accomodated in each unit. Las Gaviotas Resort is a great place for a couple, a family or a group of friends. The kitchens are equipped with a full sized refridgerator, stovetop, microwave oven, blender, toaster, coffeemaker, dishes, serving dishes, pots and pans, etc. The dining room has a table with 4 - 6 chairs and the living room is furnished with a comfortable sofa, loveseat, chair and end tables. There is a kingsized bed in the master bedroom, a queensized bed in the second bedroom, a futon in the living area and a single folding portable bed in a closet that can be set up and moved where convenient.
  • This place was perfect! I would definitely book here again. My friend and I appreciated having two bedrooms for our 7 night stay as well as the full kitchen so we could make one meal a day there. The third floor views and corner unto were fantastic. The covered balcony was spacious and watching the sunset from it a delight. The wifi was good. The breakfasts, though always the same, were great - fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, juice, eggs and bacon. A block off the Malecon the noise level was fine (you are in a city but with the exception of New Year's Eve we didn't hear much noise). Our favourite restaurant was just down the Malecon. I definitely recommend staying here!

    Carrie2016-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really lovely place. The views over the entire boardwalk are soothing with perfect sunsets. The building is a boutique hotel and booking through airbnb is no issue. There is a lovely breakfast by the pool each morning with fruit and eggs. The location is fantastic because it is in front of the malecon boardwalk and the downtown is about a half hour walk across so you can explore the back streets for some delicious restaurants and also walk along the water. We walked everywhere. The bed is comfortable. There is hot water and drinking water provided. We had a full kitchen. The balconies are spacious and relaxing. It was just so pleasant to stay here. I wouldn't look anywhere else.

Our historic exposed brick water front home has been remodelled to preserve its beautiful unique design whilst offering you comfort away from home. We are perfectly located right in front of the water by the wonderful La Paz waterfront Malecon.
Water Front home with 2 Bedrooms and a large garden patio This 1942 historic Mexican water front home has been beautifuly and carefully renovated to retain the charm of Old Mexico whilst providing you with a comfortable and unique place to stay when visiting La Paz. Perfectly located on the waterfront Malecon and only three blocks from the main town square, this two-bedroom home is great for a family break or a romantic get away. We have a large patio and garden with a beautiful palapa on the waterfront with stunning La Paz Bay views and a private walled patio to the rear of the casa for more private dining. We have built a great little kitchen at the rear of the house within the walled patio, making the house even better for extended stays (Built March 2014). Being so centrally located you don't need a car in our home unless you want one. You can even access all of the beautiful beaches by using the comfortable beach buses that depart from the Central Bus Station on the Malecon just 3 blocks from our home. The most favorite walk of both tourists and locals is the La Paz Malecon which now stretches for 5 km and is considered one of the most beautiful in all of Mexico. You will be staying right alongside this beautiful Malecon meaning you can start and end your days with a gentle stroll up and down the waters edge taking in the sights, sounds and smells of the water and Mexico. The Malecon serves as a focal point for friends and families to gather for a leisurely stroll along the Bay of Peace, dine at one of the many outdoor cafes, enjoy free concerts most weekends and savor the flavor of a truly great Mexican city. Our property managers have an office on the same property as the house which operates between the hours of 8am and 7pm Mon - Sat however they are very quiet neighbors and are on hand should you have any questions during your stay. As of June 2017 the property has an inverter mini split on the masterbedroom. Come and explore Mexico and stay with us at Casa Cuevas
Please keep in mind if you are noise sensitive that our beloved malecón is a busy street specially thursday - Saturday and local love to cruise this avenue with friends and family.
  • Excellent location. The garden is lovely with great views of the sea at sunset.

  • As part of a three week trip, we rented this house for 5 days. It could not have been a more perfect base to start from. Simon met us outside and was more than helpful in making us feel welcome and providing useful information. The location is exceptional. Everything in La Paz is walking distance and it is easy to get a bus out to the beaches. The house itself is great. Everything you need including very comfy beds and the awesome outdoor kitchen. The view of the Malecon is great, especially at sunrise.

The apartment is simple but completely furnished, the location is great, it is right in the central La Paz, and the malecon is just 3 really short blocks far (2 minutes distance walking or less) the area is really quiet, but you can have a meal, or a drink in each corner, because is right in the middle of the restaurants and bars area a quiet kind , the bus station is 5 blocks far, there you can take the bus to go every part of baja and the local transportation is right on the street, just three
For this rental, you don't need a car, you're in the meddle of all what you need, most of the rentals this type are in areas far from town, so you would add a car rental, gas expense and time driving.
The area is very good for somebody that wants to be close to the beach area and go to restaurants, bars or just go to the markets, is quiet, but all the fun is at 3 blocks, so you will have a very quiet place with really close distance to all the fun, if you want to be healthy, the organic market is at just 3 blocks Tuesdays and Saturdays.

  • Linda kept in touch with information on the apartment and the reservation. When we arrived we were greeted by Mohammad, the property manager, who showed us the apartment and made sure everything was in order. Breakfast was offered with the rental every morning we were there. Mohammad's wife makes the most extraordinary homemade jams that were just fabulous. They both were on the premises the entire time with helpful information and tips for great restaurants and activities. We had a great time - and the view of the ocean was so restful and wonderful! The picture doesn't do it justice! Thank you Linda, you have a great team in La Paz! Shirley & Kevin

  • This place is exactly as advertised, my family and I stayed there for more than a week and we will definitely go back. The owners are very kind and knowledgeable about the area, they go out of their way to make you feel at home, they helped us book several tours with local companies which turned out really well. The accommodations include a delicious Mexican-style breakfast which they share with the guests, where they take the time to ask personally if you are finding everything good and if you need assistance with anything. The place is clean and is as shown in the pictures. The location couldn't be better and you have a wonderful view of the ocean. This is definitely a place I would recommend to anyone wishing to stay in La Paz and is looking for a traditional place close to downtown and walking distance to the Malecón, to the Marinas and to downtown. It is also at walking distance of all kinds of restaurants and convenience stores.

  • Gail and her husband Chalo, were the perfect hosts. They made us feel very welcome and we learned a lot about the area from their many years there. Chalo's grandfather worked in the pearl cultivating business when he immigrated from a small village in France. Chalo grew up in La Paz, whereas Gail grew up in California. They met at a language institute in Calif. He wanted to learn English, she wanted to learn Spanish. They now are excellent in both. It was interesting to learn of their interests: Gail loves sewing and cooking (and her wonderful breakfasts are testimonials). She is open to challenges, even took lessons in kite-surfing! Chalo's engrossing hobby is rehabilitating 2 helicopters in his garage. ( I guess that is what engineers do!) Breakfasts on the top level of their hotel were opportunities to meet and chat with other travelers and observe sea gulls and pelicans as they glide by.

And Mohamed helped me organizing the activities in a very careful way. The location is perfect next to "malecon' and the sera.

  • My stay was great (other than the cold I caught on the plane-ride down to La Paz... Ugh). The room was quiet, very clean, comfortable and secure. Moreover, the location was perfect... Just 1 block from the malecon and just far enough away from the center so that it was very quiet. As I was visiting friends in town I didn't take advantage of breakfast, but I took a peak at what other guests were having and it looked great. I would strongly recommend this great little place!

  • Estelle was lovely, we arrived late after a wonderful kayaking/camping adventure around Isla Espiritu Santo and were exhausted, and she took us up to our beautiful apartment and explained the key & security system and about all the amenities. We were only staying one night, but this would have been a gr8 place to stay for a much longer holiday, with a full kitchen, living room, bath & 2 full bedrooms. Especially liked overlooking the courtyard with pool surrounded by garden and creative colorful painted adobe walls, a slice of paradise! The description on airbnb was accurate & the neighborhood was safe & apt very secure. It was already dark when we went to dinner, and we felt safe and only a block to the Malecon and lots of wonderful seafood restaurants, we ended up at Bismark Cito wonderful seafood. Also liked the clean fresh interiors and warm welcoming decor.... if we are back in La Paz we would love to stay here again for a longer visit. Thank you Estelle!

  • Linda and her husband were amazing hosts. They own the airbnb property we were booke at, as well as a nearby hotel called Las Gaviotas. We had some electricity problems at the airbnb, so Linda immediately offered to upgrade us to their hotel, which was so nice of her. Throughout the whole stay, she and the staff were extremely accommodating of our diving schedule & went out of their way to make things better for us (like when breakfast ran long & we had to be at the dive shop, she offered to drive us). Thank you so much for showing us how amazing La Paz is!

  • Linda and her husband communicated well and were very accommodating when our AC didn't work, offering to put us up in their hotel, which is across the street. The home is no-frills but has everything you need, is safe, in a good location, and is a good value.

  • We were VERY HAPPY with the two units we rented at Los Gaviatos. The hosts and staff were attentive and helpful. Our arrival was perfect. The AC was ice cold. VERY clean property and units. Daily cleaning service. Pool was superb at the end of long hot July days. Walking distance to mercado, liquor store and the Malecon with many good restaurants. Quiet. Parking is secure and security on site. Perfect views for sunsets on big balconies. Very large rooms. great breakfast every morning by the pool was welcome. Thank you.

  • This is an amazing place for an amazing price! The apartment is spacious with a great balcony. The pictures really don't do it justice. WiFi works well, the location is great, bottled water is conveniently available and the full kitchen is super convenient. Parking is secure and a night watchman makes the place feel extra safe, even though the neighborhood is fine. Breakfast was great!

  • Very good lodging, loved the on site hosts and terrific service. Estelle and Mohamed answered questions and gave directions including to Playa Balandras, best beach we have ever been to. Not fancy, just beautiful water that is waist deep forever. Breakfast by the pool every morning, fresh fruit, pancakes and the hosts will make your choice of eggs, bacon, etc. Perfect location, walking distance to everything on the Malecon city central including great restaurants. Mercado and liquor store short walk. Secure parking, security on site, very safe and secure if that is your worry. VERY clean with daily maid service. Cold AC. SUPER pool, perfect retreat in the July heat wave. Our stay in hot hot July was last minute forced by our father's death in La Paz and was made easier by our stay at Los Gaviotas. La Paz is a nice place to visit, the people are lovely. Thank you!

  • We loved our stay in La Paz at Las Gaviotas. Mohammed and Estelle were helpful, accommodating, and really kind! It was great to be right along the malecon; made for some great runs/strolls as we explored the area. The room was clean, and whenever we needed anything, help was a question away. Breakfast was great. The pool was warm, and with the slightly cooler end of Dec weather, that was a welcome treat for the kids! We would definitely reccomend staying here.

  • We had a great time at Linda's lovely La Paz apartment. Unknown to us, Carnival was happening during our stay and we were in the perfect location to walk the Malecon and take it in, then head back to the villa for a swim and relaxation without having to get in the car. Everything was clean, spacious and well set up. We were very comfortable. We met our host when we checked out. She was very friendly. Recommended!

    Jody2015-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Thoroughly enjoyed Las Gaviotas and the La Paz area. Unit 1B was spacious, had lovely (if somewhat obstructed by powerlines) views of the Malecon, and the secured parking was a great plus. The provided breakfast was nice to enjoy right next to the pool. We found Las Gaviotas to be a great base of operations for exploring La Paz. Playa Balandra is not to be missed! Our only complaint would be the weak wifi signal in our unit. Overall, a great value and great location.

  • Sorry it has taken me a while to write this as we have just now settled back in at home. Linda Gail and Gonzalo were friendly and helpful hosts. They gave us useful tips about activities in La Paz which we really appreciated. They provide a very thorough guidebook in the apartment. Our accommodations were excellent and everything was as described: very comfortable, clean, quiet and within walking distance of the places we wanted to see in La Paz. We stayed an extra night as a refuge from pretty rough accommodations we had elsewhere when we went to see the gray whales. Breakfast was excellent. They were having a bit of a challenge with their maids; on 2 different days they took our towels but didn't leave us any fresh ones. (Pretty easily corrected though.) I would definitely stay there again if I were going to La Paz. Thanks Linda Gail!

    Gayle2014-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about our stay was excellent. Great beds and quiet made for a good nights sleep. The view from our balcony was awesome. Breakfast was a hit with plenty of fresh fruit, coffee, home-made bread and more... Our hosts were quite kind and helpful and very welcoming. I'd choose to stay here again.

    Terry2013-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • We have travelled all over the world with our family and stayed in many different hotels, (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN)s etc. Linda's 1B Escape Winter in La Paz was an excellent choice of accommodations. Her managers, Estelle and Mohammed, truly went out of their way at every step to make our stay enjoyable. The condo was clean. The breakfasts were hearty and kept us going for much of the day. Our kids loved having bacon everyday!! We would highly recommend staying here. We would definitely come back to stay here when we get a chance to visit La Paz again.

  • Such an awesome place right in the middle of La Paz. Made the last minute decision to drive up from Cabo and didn't regret it! Although we had to rush out to catch a boat on the day we left, they have a breakfast poolside every morning for guests. I wish I could have spent more time in this gorgeous city, and if I ever go back, this is the place to stay!

  • Gail did a wonderful job of hosting us in La Paz. Her recommendations on tours and restaurants were great, the place was super clean and indoor parking was included. She even gave us certificates for the restaurant at the hotel, which we used gladly. The food and service was excellent

Our fifth floor corner condo is near the old downtown of the City of La Paz. It has a panoramic view of the Bay and the city. The location is great for walking around the city and on the. Many shops and restaurants are nearby.
This two bedroom, 2 bath condo has about the best view in town. With elevator access, it has a kingsized bed in the master-suite with its own bathroom, a queen-sized bed in the second bedroom. For additional guests there is a single folding bed and a futon in the living area. The unit has a complete well equipped kitchen (no oven)a table and six chairs for dining, The large terrace has four chairs and a round table for outdoor dining as well as a chaise lounge. The living-room has a couch, loveseat and chair with end tables and center coffee table. There are ceiling fans thoughout and an airconditioner with thermostat control on the wall. The TV is not a flat screen but does have cabel and a bunch of channels. A few are in English, more are in Spanish. We have a binder full of information on the coffee table that will help you find a restaurant or things to do and other helpful information.

  • Las Gaviotas was absolutely amazing, and Linda and Chalo were probably the best AirBNB hosts we've ever had. The room was exactly as described; nicer even than expected. Huge patio with incredible views; there are no other tall buildings in the area, so you can see for miles and miles. The place is just 1 block off the malecon. Excellent restaurants and bars within a 30 second walk. 5-10 minute walk to the grocery store. Breakfast was served every day (fresh fruit, coffee, eggs, homemade toast, etc.). The condo was clean and beautifully painted in bright colors; fully functional kitchen, minus an oven. Linda and Chalo are very well connected within the La Paz community, which means if you have any questions, or if you need help or advice with anything, let them know and they can very likely provide a solution that is better than you ever imagined. Check with them before booking any activities, as they might know of better/cheaper options! Can't say enough great things about the condo, the complex, or the hosts! Would 100% recommend the place to anyone traveling to La Paz!

    Charlie2017-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • The top floor apartment was just perfect for my family and for the grandparents. The location is ideal. We were only a few steps away from the malecon and took nightly walks to restaurants and for homemade ice cream for dessert. The staff was incredibly hospitable and were quick to meet any of our needs. For example, the internet wasn't working at first and they had it fixed in no time. Water was delivered daily. Linda Gail even set up a whale shark tour for us and arranged a taxi to the bus station for my parents. It really felt like the staff went out of their way to ensure our comfort and I would most definitely return if we found ourselves in La Paz again (fingers crossed!)

  • Mohamed And Estelle made us feel welcome immediately upon our arrival. They were also excellent hosts for our daily breakfast. The communication right from booking to departure was great. Although the decor is dated, the room was perfect for our needs. It was very large and felt very authentic for Mexico. The view and location are great as well. I would recommend this location to future travellers

  • The location of this place was perfect, just a block from the walking path and few blocks from a grocery store. The place was more than we needed for two of use and our 2 year old daughter; however it was nice for her to have her own room. The king and queen size beds were very comfortable and there was a futon between the dining and living rooms, there was also a cot in the closet. The managers of this place were amazing they set up a crib for our 2 years old with a nice plush kid blanket I couldn’t believe it. the breakfast had good option from protein to carbs. The pool was very clean and well maintained. We liked having filtered water for dinking and cooking. There was a secure parking garage which was super nice to have for our rental car. I would stay there again.

  • The entire group, including Estelle and Mohamed, Linda herself, and the rest of the team were unbelievably amazing hosts. They were very welcoming upon our arrival, and were more than helpful when we asked for assistance. They sent us to two of the best restaurants we went to during our entire 2-week Baja tour - which were recommended based on price and quality of food (best fish tacos and price at Mc Fishers, and AMAZING food, service and price at Trois (something)... Room was clean, bright and fully stocked. Estelle made an amazing breakfast of coffee/juice, fruit, toast, bacon & eggs every morning. Although we tried our best to speak Spanish as much as we could, all staff could communicate in English. We brought a huge fish with us that we caught, and had full access to the pool-side bar-b-que to cook it for our family. Close to a grocery market, fish taco stands, lots of beachfront restaurants and steps to the Malecon. Would recommend a higher room for a better view, but we were on the 2nd floor and our patio was large, bright, and had a good view of the sea.

  • Great place, one block from the malecon, and a block and a half from Tailhunters....great gringo tropical sports bar, where draft Modelo costs less than a buck and the food is great. The apartment is large, comfortable, with high ceilings and a nice balcony with a great view of the bay. Free breakfast everyday by the pool and housecleaning as well. Mohamed, the manager, is very responsive and is just a text away. Very nice setup.
