“Tryst is a coffee shop reminiscent of Central Perk on Friends, with overstuffed sofas and table service. They have a much bigger food menu, and it's a great place for breakfast or lunch.”

“Great local coffeeshop and bakery-- big selection of homemade pastries (try the home made pop tarts or cinnamon rolls). Almost always has 2 gluten-free options (blueberry muffin and scone- pick the scone).”

“Our favorite date night spot. Conveniently located near monuments and museums. Our favorites are the brie and onion jam farm bread, the skillet cornbread, and the chicken and waffles!”

Bookshop
“This is the most adorable bar in the back of a quirky bookshop. We recommend heading here for an early evening cocktail before heading out somewhere else.”

American Restaurant
“Care for a side of socialism with that? Friendly service, leftist leanings and great food and drinks, where the activists gather to eat, subvert the system and plan the revolution. Monday Nights - Open Mic, Tuesday is Comedy Night! Several unique locations throughout DC area, but this one is five minutes away. Owned by rabid social entrepreneur and someday mayor of Washington, DC, Andy Shalal, who says Busboys is "a community where racial and cultural connections are consciously uplifted . . . a place to take a deliberate pause and feed your mind, body and soul… a space for art, culture and politics to intentionally collide . . . we believe that by creating such a space we can inspire social change and begin to transform our community and the world."”

Lounge
“Owned by the famed Thievery Corporation duo, this large space offers several rooms with live music including electronic, jazz, and reggae. Very quiet early in the evening, and offers happy hour specials until 8pm. Locals know the best place to dance is here on Sunday nights. You'll see some amazing moves and breakdancing, which occasionally gets competitive as people face-off to out dance others - but it's all in good fun. ”

Steakhouse
“Inside the Four Seasons in Georgetown, executive chef Drew Adams prepares several A-5 Wagyu beef options on a wood-burning grill. But for the granddaddy steak option of them all, try the 38-ounce prime porterhouse, which is big enough to serve two to three hungry diners.”

Music Venue
“Feels a little bit divey, this place has live music, okay drink prices, and is located in Georgetown's Waterfront development. I'm a huge fan of this place for the live music - mostly rock or blues. There are two areas of the venue - one is the bar with free music and then there is an area where you pay to see a show with food, drinks, and music. ”

Pizza Place
“Pizza and bar - This pizza joint also has ping pong tables in the back. It has a solid number of beers on tap too. The decor is what you think of as a typical pizza joint. But, I personally think the pizza at Comet is better than Little Beast. Comet also has a nice patio to sit on. It is about 1/2 mile down the road and is next to Big Bucks, Little Red Fox, and Sugar Fox, which all have the same owners.”
