The tour starts at the beach with a quick lesson for everyone and once we're all geared up we'll hit the water and start practicing on our paddling skills. It doesnt matter if you're standing up, kneeling or sitting down, but as long as everybody's having fun and paddling comfortably, we'll start the tour and we'll explore the coast, its secret beaches and some awesome caves we have around here.

Albufeira has beaches with amazing conditions for Surf Lessons and even for experienced surfers. We can adjust our lessons according to the students skills, so they can choose between a private lesson or a group lesson. GROUP LESSONS This kind of lesson is a really nice way of learning how to Surf. Join us in a group with other students or bring your friends! We'll provide you with a lot of fun!

A Surf day at the Salty Wave Surf School begins with our Surf-Van pick you up at predetermined spot in the lagos área. Depending on the winds, tides and swell size, we'll choose a surf spot that suits the day's conditions and is best for learning. After arriving to the surf spot, we'll grab our gear from the van and head to the sand to get our wetsuits on. The surf session begins with a warm up, introduction of the beach and ocean conditions, surf materials, and safety rules. We will also practice some techniques and pop-ups on the sand. We know you want to go surfing and it is time to show us in the water what you've learned at the sand. Our experience includes 2:30 hours of surfing including, warmup, safety briefing, wetsuit and surfboard and beach transfer if you in Lagos area. We promise you that you will catch waves on your first session! Get ready for an amazing surf experience! You will be immersed in nature on the beach deck with beautiful sunset views, views of the cliffs and the beautiful ocean & beach. We will practice some mindful movement to help strengthen the body & stretch our muscles, helping to dissolve physical & mental tension in body & mind. This really helps to find more mental clarity & to reduce the fluctuations in the mind. Followed by time to chill, chat & connect with some cleansing ginger tea, 2 glasses of wine or sparkling water. Departing from Faro we will cruise through Ria Formosa towards the Atlantic Ocean in Ocean Vibes boat - “One Vibe”. Two marine biologists will guide you in this experience and search for Cetaceans (Dolphins and whales) as well as other marine wildlife. During this tour, you will also see different species of marine birds and sometimes sharks & turtles! This is a unique chance to see those incredible animals in the wild but also to learn more about them with experienced marine biologists. You will have the opportunity to learn how we collect data for research and get to know more about our Dolphin & whale projects. This activity lasts for +-2h30, however, to protect the animals from stress, we can only stay with each pod of dolphins for a maximum of 30 minutes at a time. A total of 8 people can join the activity at the same time, providing a unique familiar experience far from mass tourism. The most sighted dolphin species are the common dolphins & bottlenose dolphins. On the other hand, the most sighted whales are the Minkes and Fin whales. While we always do our best to find whales, we can only guarantee 96% chance of seeing dolphins at the moment - we do not sell whale watching tours (even thought we see them on a weekly basis). Hopefully, we get to see our great friends, the “dolphins” – All our vessels are equipped with VHF Radio and will be operating in the same channel as the dolphin watching boats so if they are spotted, which is very frequent in our coast, and they are within 2 nautical miles we will take you to see them.
