“HNK Hajduk Split (Croatian Football Club Hajduk Split), is a professional Croatian football club founded in 1911, and based in the city of Split. Since 1979, the club's home ground has been the 35,000-seat Stadion Poljud. The team's traditional home colours are white shirts with blue shorts and socks. The story of HNK Hajduk Split is really the story of Split during the past hundred or so years. The football club was founded in 1911 and was always much more than just a club, representing one of the main points of identity of Split going back to the time when it was founded by the students from Split studying in Prague, Fabjan Kaliterna, Vjekoslav Ivanišević, Lucijan Stalla and Ivan Šakić.”

Jazz Club
“The Marvlvs Library Jazz Bar is run by Tin who is an Argentinian poet with Croatian origins. The bar's name comes from the famous Croatian poet Marko Marulić - who is considered the father of Croatian literature. The atmosphere, the architecture of the place, the jazz and the books - make up the best bar in Split in my opinion.”

Concert Hall
“At the westernmost point of Salona, in the Urbs occidentalis, in the second half of the second century A.D. under the influence of Flavian architectural style a monumental building was erected. It is one of the most recognizable buildings of Roman architecture. The remains of Roman amphitheatre indicate that gladiator fights were held in the city of Salona just as in any part of Roman empire, until the fifth century when they were finally banned. Only parts of substructures of this monumental building, as well as some fragments of architectural decoration and stone sculpture have been preserved. The amphitheatre was most severely damaged during the wars against the Turks in the 17th century when Venetians had it demolished for strategic reasons.”

Music Venue
“Split Summer Festival (1954...) is an art festival building its national and international reputation ever since the mid 20th century. Next to the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, it is a festival with the longest and shiniest tradition of the classical spectrum of performing arts (opera, drama, ballet, concert...), spreading in time the array of events: from Jazz concerts and film festivals, to exhibitions, performances and street theatre. The most persistent and the strongest organisation of the festival is the Croatian National Theatre in Split, the national theatre representing a crucial key venue in the cultural life of Split, and the vital point of the theatre life of Croatia as a whole.”
