Mountain
“A rail journey from Wengen, dramatic scenery to delight; all change at the mountain pass of Kleine Scheidegg. Tunnel upwards amazingly through the Eiger and Mönch, a passage hewn by pickaxe and completed in 1912. Look out of Eiger north wall and over a sea of ice. Alight at the highest railway station in Europe at 3,454 metres. Standing on the Sphinx Observation Deck, the Aletsch Glacier stretches before us, a remnant of the Ice Age, hollowed out and sculpted for the Ice Palace. ‘On clear days, views extend as far as the Vosges mountains in France and Germany’s Black Forest.’* Experience a 360o panorama feature of the mountain world, visit Lindt Swiss chocolate heaven and depending on the season, hike on the glacier or ski, sledge, zipline at the Snow Fun Park. Scenic Viewpoint
“Jungfraujoch! The highest train station in Europe. This is a VERY crowded place to visit as it's one of the most heavily visited tourist spots in Switzerland. It's a pricey train ticket, but worth the trip if you can justify it. Many people travel from around the world solely to see the Jungfraujoch. PRO TIP: take the very first train up for the best chance of good weather and to beat the peak tourist times. ”

“Eggishorn via ferrata: adventure with cables and hooks Mid-June – mid-October Exciting crossings, vertical climbs and amazing views. Eggishorn via ferrata is a unique experience, and although it demands sure-footedness, a head for heights and good general fitness, it is suitable for the less experienced climber: strong iron rungs, cables and rails provide excellent protection. Highlights for the more adventurous spirits can be circumnavigated. Local mountain guides can provide the ideal support. Tip: Remember that you are in the mountains! Check the weather forecast, and make sure that you are well-equipped and only set out on the Eggishorn via ferrata in good and settled weather.”
