The rock cabin is over 50 years old.The cabin was built by hand from materials found on this property by a man named Glenn Branscum and friends. He also built the original “rock" spring box behind this cabin. If you love rustic, nature and living in the woods this is something you want to check out! Perfect for anytime of the year :)
The rock cabin is over 50 years old. It was built by hand from materials found on this property by a man named Glenn Branscum and friends. He also built the original “rock" spring box behind this cabin, which we have recently added onto over this past year. The rock part of the cabin is still the original piece of cabin. There used to be no bathroom, no wood stove, no tin roof and obviously no water heater or electric, etc. The old wood doors are still the original doors from 50 years ago. The cabin sits tucked back in behind the next cabin that is currently under construction and is within walking distance to the stilt cabin (not right next door), however you will not be bothered and still have a lot of privacy. If you are looking for a private place, out in the country on a farm setting to get away, relax and enjoy nature, this is the place for you!
We are about 15 miles west of Mountain View. This is where you will want to do all of your grocery shopping depending on what direction you will be traveling from. Mountain view is home of the folk music and has some small little shops that are neat to visit. Blanchard Springs Caverns are about 25 minutes away which make for a great day trip. For all of you craft beer fans we suggest going to check out Gravity BrewWorks in Big Flat which is about 25 minutes away as well.
  • This spot is great! Beautiful property, comfy cabin, peaceful place. We stayed here on Christmas so we had the place all to ourselves. I only wish we could have met Bethany and Wade and let our pups play. We still had a fantastic stay though. Thanks.

  • Beautiful place, lovely owners, relaxing couple of days.

  • My husband and I loved our stay at the Rock Cabin. With the sound of a spring right outside the bedroom, we slept so so so well. The hot tub was lovely, and the cabin was all around cute. In early April it was cold out, but we stayed warm with the wood burning stove. I highly recommend the guide services from Jojo's if you like to fish, and a trip to Blanchard Caverns if you like beautiful things.

  • We loved the atmosphere.

    Angie2017-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was on of the best we've ever been too. Bethany and Wade were so welcoming and friendly and we really enjoyed talking with them. Their 3 dogs walked around with us the majority of the day and they were so fun to play with! So about the cabin: you walk in to a screened in kitchen, hot tub, fridge, and table and in the back was the bedroom with a queen bed and a pull out couch and shower. It was perfect for my husband and I but an extra guest or 2 could work as well!! The house tub was fabulous.

    Cori2016-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time! The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The cabin was fantastic - a perfect mixture of rustic, comfortable and unique.

    Trinke2016-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place is wonderful- so peaceful and picturesque. Come here when you need to escape life and just enjoy some peace and quiet. Very romantic and comfortable.

    Kimberly2016-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • This was a magical find! We were looking to stay in a cabin off the beaten path for the weekend and we couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised! They were so welcoming, we felt like part of the family. The wood burning stove was going when we got in (later than planned!) and they let us wander around their enchanting property to take photos and play with their adorable fur babies (3 happy dogs). I couldn't possibly explain in words the extent of how much we adored this place, you'll have to see for yourself! Thank you Bethany & Wade, we look forward to coming back down!!!

My place is close to Blanchard Springs Caverns and the Ozark National Forest, this one bedroom split cabin is perfect for couples and individual travelers. Hunters love our place because of it's convenience. The cabin is located just ten to fifteen minute from Mountain View. . My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers..
  • Jason was a great host. Everything was clean and as stated in description. He communicates very quickly about any questions we had. The cabin is closely located to Blanchard Caverns and only about 15 minutes from Mountain View square.

  • Clean , Restfull area with easy access and great directions

    Cindy2017-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed this cabin. Jason was great with responding late in the evening when we requested to book.

    Natasha2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Nice clean place. Quiet

    Sharon2017-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place for bikers. The roads are in good conditions, I really enjoyed taking my Harley on the twisties. The turns are not too challenging as well, so it's an excellent place to go if you have an intermediate level experience riding. This is also a great place for solo travel and meditation. As for tourism, the Blanchard Springs Cave is just a couple of miles down the road, definitely worth seeing.

    Christian2017-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and comfortable for a great price. Very close to Blanchard Spring.

    Jamie2017-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Was nice place to stay

    Terry2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Our family spent one night in the cabin to do some hiking and waterfalling in the area. The cabin was exactly what we were looking for. We would return.

Enjoy a relaxing vacation in the rolling mansion (luxurious rv) with beautiful views you won't want to leave.. If you are looking for a secluded place away from others, we invite you to come check it out :)
Experience a great, luxurious stay in what we like to call "the rolling mansion". The rolling mansion is located at the end of the campground away from the cabins, so you are basically in your own little slice of heaven.
    Beautiful, rural farm setting
  • If you're looking for a private stay in a scenic location, look no further. Throughly enjoyed our time here.

    Corey2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • I would describe our week long stay in the Rolling Mansion at Ropers Campground as "Ozarks Immersion". The driveway into the campground is about a 10 minute drive though the woods. Twice we saw deer on our way, and we also saw a turtle and a roadrunner. You will be staying in a beautiful little campground with Sylamore Creek right in your backyard and and a few contented cattle grazing right past your front yard. For those of us from flat land, realize that Sylamore is a crystal clear mountain stream, not a muddy farmland creek. My wife and I and the kids walked the creek every day the weather permitted. The water was cool relief in the August heat and we could could see bass, pumpkinseeds, various colored crayfishand every kind of minnow and shiner swimming around us. Some fish I never saw in Wisconsin so I don't know what they were. We saw kingfishers and small herons and roadrunners and turtles. The bluffs tower over alternating sides of the creek. There is a spot we found where the water was a good 5' deep(URL HIDDEN)Wade and Bethany operate a small scale livestock farm with a handful of cattle and chickens. Eggs for sale! Some of the cows are very sociable and my kids fed all of our carrots to one little calf. The chickens are let out every day and hang around close to the house and office. But the ambassadors of the campground are Timber and Dixie, a couple of sociable pups who energetically but unobtrusively accompanied us on many of our saunters. Minnie is a beautiful St Bernard who prefers to stay by Wade and Bethany's house. The Rolling Mansion is incredible. It's about the size of a semi trailer and totally luxurious, with 3 air conditioners which scoffed at temperatures in the 90's. My glasses fogged up whenever I left the mansion. The master bedroom features a dual sided Sleep Number bed and ample closets. The full bathroom has a glass door shower and a deco-glass bowl sink. There were 5 of us and the hot water did not give out. The Kitchen has a french door fridge/freezer and quartz counter tops. There is a stove and oven and combination microwave/convection oven. A Kurig coffee maker is provided. There is a 4 place recliner couch and another 2 place recliner couch. The rear room of the trailer is very configurable, with a double upper bunk, and a lower bunk that converts into a dinette. This is also the laundry room. Some local things to visit are Blanchard Caverns and the Ozarks Folk Center State Park. We also went horseback riding. Wade and Bethany were incredible Hosts. They communicated well before our arrival with all the information we needed to prepare for our stay and to find the campground easily. They were very available and informative, but absolutely unobtrusive. I highly recommend a stay at Roper's for a relaxing and totally Ozarks experience.

    Timothy2016-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at the rolling mansion. The creek was beautiful, and the accommodations or just what we were looking for. The hosts were amenable to anything we needed, and their land is gorgeous. We will definitely stay there again.

    Allison2016-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • We fell in love with this location! Wade & Bethany were the best! The RV is luxurious and the grounds are beautiful. Fishing, hiking or just lounging around you will wish like we did our stay was longer!

    Juli2016-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • We were a little hesitant at first because we'd never used airbnb before;however, Bethany was so welcoming. She met us at the rv and told us everything we needed to know and also made sure to tell us how to reach her should we need anything. The land is beautiful. The pictures shared do not do any justice to this place. My family and I enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and can't wait to go back.I was definitely impressed.

    Elizabeth2016-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • I arrived late.. The drive back was creepy to say the least. However the host were very thorough, prompt & very kind. The RV was very nice & clean. I wish I would have arrived earlier so I could have enjoyed it more. It is on a camp ground with something like a farm, oh & lots of lady bugs.

    Quintella2016-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • My daughter and a few of their friends had a great time at the traveling mansion! They loved exploring the creek, cooking snores over the fire, watching the cows, and hanging out in the beautiful RV! Wade and Bethany were very accommodating and responded to my questions quickly.

    Angie2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying here. It is incredibly quiet and relaxing. There is a creek nearby that you can swim in and plenty of places to walk. We had been traveling for a couple of weeks and needed a few days of downtime and this was the perfect place. It was incredibly relaxing staying here. It is a bit off the beaten path so read their instructions carefully and make sure you bring food with you. There is a kitchen, a huge fridge/freezer so cooking was easy. WE really enjoyed our stay and even found a brewery nearby.

Atop the trees of the Ozark Forest sits the 87Getaway Treehouse, a truly awe inspiring experience awaiting guests. A king sized bed and full sized sleeper sofa give you plenty of sleeping space. While inside, a jacuzzi tub and tv provide you with both comfort and entertainment. Outside, on the top level, is all about the atmosphere, surrounded by trees on the same level as you. The lower level offers a patio with fans, furnishings, hammock, firepit, and grill.
The upper level is fully furnished and extremely comfortable. There is a deck that surrounds the entire top level, complete with seating, so that you may enjoy being amongst the many trees that surround the Treehouse. Inside is a stocked kitchen, king sized bed, tv (with netflix), a jacuzzi tub, and plenty of seating for all guests. On the lower level we've got all the patio furnishings you could want, complete with a hammock for relaxing. Ceiling fans provide plenty of airflow during the hot summer months. Close to the covered area is a fire pit and grill with rock wall seating. Grill some burgers or hotdogs and you are only steps away from serving the food on the lower patio. Perfect for cookouts!
Since 87Getaway is secluded by the forest, the only neighbors would be the guests in cabins 1 or 2. The 87Getaway Treehouse is the most secluded of all of our options.
  • Starting off I would give frank and his house and town 100 stars !!!!! We rode a motorcycle 13 hours to come to the tree house and town!!! As soon as we got there we got a flat tire. And frank was so fast to help us! He came to where we were and help put air in the tire and told us where to go to get it fixed !!! And made sure we were taken care of..... the town is so FRIENDLY frank called his buddy up and Tim who owns ozark motors fixed our tire the next morning!!! Everyone in this town is so UNBELIEVABLY FRIENDLY we will definitely come back and visit next year along with staying in the BEAUTIFUL TREE HOUSE !! FRANK. Thank you for everything and your house is amazing

  • Great place tucked away for privacy and quiet. Close enough to town to enjoy the shops and restaurants. Short drive to Blanchard Springs to enjoy the caves and the outdoors. The treehouse was a unique stay and Frank made sure every detail was taken care of. We would definitely visit again!

The Cabinette at the Creek is a detached studio cabin 20+ yards from a larger 3 bedroom vacation cabin with privacy features adhered to. It is located about 15 minutes from town and most area attractions. It is in a sublime remote undeveloped meadow with direct access to S. Sylamore Creek (pronounced like Sycamore). You will experience full immersion with Ozark Hollow Living and basic creature comforts for 2 people.
Cabinette is 300+sf with an oversized covered deck that overlooks an untouched valley. It is located about 100 yards above the creek's floodplain. You amble through a mowed path to access the creek. Creek is good always except in high water events. You can expect it to be about 1-3 foot deep on average. It is spring fed, year round, gin clear and healthy. Trout will run it winter months. Smallmouh fishing is possible during higher water levels. (Please catch and release the smallies)
  • We absolutely loved this place! It was extremely clean and comfortable for two people & our dog. It was very peaceful and just beautiful to experience. It was a magical experience for us!

    Irene2017-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • I loved the Cabinette. It was perfect for us. Communication was easy, they text me which is perfect. Cabin is even cuter in person! The bed was so comfortable. We couldn't be happier.

    Courtney2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • A very pretty location, perfect for a getaway cabin, close to Mountain View but so very quiet and peaceful during the day and night.

    Christopher2017-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • We sure enjoyed our visit. Appreciated the seclusion, loved the creek! We were close enough to see the two things we wanted, the Ozark Folk Center and Blanchard Springs Caverns. We also were able to experience the local musicians in the town square and do some antiquing in town. We accomplished quite a bit for two days. Playing in the creek tops the list though! This cabinette was perfect for what we needed.

    Cindy2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • The Cabinette was perfect for a couple's getaway! It is small, but very cozy. The a/c kept the place very cool and the wifi worked well. We were able to stream movies just fine. The kitchenette was small. If you are planning to make much more than coffee and sandwiches, I would recommend bringing some of your own cooking equipment. We brought a camp stove and did some cooking outside on the lovely deck. Firewood was supplied. The location was very peaceful. The creek was shady and beautiful. Our only regret was not bringing the dog to enjoy the place with us!

    Sam2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay. The grounds were just beautiful with a creek less than a minute away. We would definitely stay again.

    Alex2017-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed two nights with our two smaller dogs and had a great experience. Very easy drive to town, much to see and do all around. Would certainly recommend staying, especially as there aren't many dog-friendly options in the area! Cabinette has everything you need, very comfortable and well appointed.

    Ryan2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • The amenities we're very nice it gave me that feeling of being at home. The bed was exceptional, very comfortable. Everything was very clean and tidy. This has been an amazing find. I didn't want to leave. Virginia went out of her way, in my opinion, to make my stay as comfortable as possible. I will never want to stay anywhere else while visiting Mountain View. Thanks Airbnb, and thank you Virginia. I'll be back!

  • Sobe's cabin was the perfect retreat for my husband and I. It is also a kid-friendly and dog-friendly home. We spent a lot of our time either fishing down at the creek or sitting on the decks. I cannot think of anything we needed while staying at the cabin, Carey was very accommodating. She also sent us some great suggestions for the area (Tommys Pizzeria was my fave!). If you're a fisherman - we caught our limit of rainbow trout easily within 30 mins on the white river. The cabin was clean, well-cared for, and so relaxing. It was far enough from town where we had plenty of privacy and could enjoy listening to the creek, but still close enough to town that it was not a long trip to go to the store or out to eat. I would love to stay again!

    Rachel2017-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a secluded cabin near water, yet close to area attractions, this is it. Had a great weekend with the hubby. We caught fish from the creek in front of the cabin, visted Blanchard Spring Caverns, shopped in Mountain View, and made a beer run to Gravity Brewery! Thanks Sobe Cabin for great memories!!

    Amy2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • What a great relaxing weekend. We sure enjoyed the creek (not the snakes, but that comes with it). If you have time, Blanchard Springs Caverns is a must. Take the long tour and hopefully you'll get Brandy as your guide. She's awesome. Mirror lake...beautiful. With that being said, most of our time was spent at the cabin and playing in the creek. We saw many deer along the drive to your cabin. Thank you for sharing your home with us. Teel Family

    Lori2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great cabin in the mountains. Postcard worthy stream a few steps out the door. So peaceful and relaxing! Carey was a great host and easy to communicate with!

    Peter2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Booking your stay at Carey’s cabin will not disappoint! The cabin and the view are absolutely lovely— not to mention all of the nature that surrounds you! Perfect for a peaceful getaway. Carey was also very kind and quick to respond to any of my inquiries, as well as informative by leaving a local’s guide with various activities around the area. We’ll definitely be going back!

    Kayla2017-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is a true nature-lover's paradise and the reason airbnb was invented. No photos or descriptions can do justice to just how elegant, cozy, and charming the cabin is...as well as the surrounds. Carey went above and beyond to help make our trip perfect, and made excellent recommendations. I was amazed by all of the attention to detail, both in the design of the cabin and in all of the thoughtful amenities added to make the guest experience so pleasant. There are windows and balconies everywhere, yet total privacy from neighbors. You have the smell of cedar in the morning and get to start your day in a stone shower. You can grill, fish from the creek out front, float in the creek (my favorite), see deer, and watch thousands of fireflies sparkle as the sun sets. Or if you want Netflix and Walmart, you got that too. It's just the right distance to everything: 10 - 15 minutes from the caverns, folk festival, forests/parks, downtown Mountain View with it's musicians, Wal-mart, the White River (great fishing), etc. I can't wait to return!

    Lukas2017-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to get away and reconnect with the people you love and matter most. Love the views and creek access. The cabin is cozy comfortable and clean.

    Cindy2017-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a relaxing time at Carey's cabin. The cabin had everything we need to prepare meals. We enjoyed the fire pit two evenings. The views from the decks are awe inspiring. We spent most of the time outside. I loved looking for rocks at the gravel beach. The neighbor children were fun to visit with and play washers with and skip rocks with and imagine together what chosen rocks looked like. We enjoyed our time at Blanchard Springs, the cave is breath taking. The "picking park" was something I have never experienced before. I brought many treasures home from my finds shopping downtown. I love the shower in the cabin and I believe I spotted a fossil of a 3 toed dinosaur in it Sure would love to visit again. Carey is a great host and even treated us to local beer from Gravity.

  • Gorgeous views, quaint cozy house. Beautiful and well designed. My wife and I loved sitting and watching the clouds roll in over the mountains.

  • Cathy and Paul greeted us as soon as we arrived and gave us a tour of the tiny house. It was our one year anniversary and Cathy baked muffins for us and they put some ice cream in the freezer, it was so sweet! The view is AMAZING. I suggest getting up early to watch the sunrise and being there in the evening to watch the sunset too. We stayed two nights but definitely wished we could've stayed longer. The outdoor shower is really nice and totally worth it, don't be afraid to try it! We would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. It is truly a perfect little getaway and the best place to be totally unplugged with minimal cell service and no internet. We loved it!

  • This tiny house is absolutely amazing. My boyfriend and I were astounded at the view from the home! It was so cool to stay in a tiny house, and this one was perfect for our weekend in Mountain View! Cathy and Paul were awesome, and we hope to go back very soon!

  • My wife and I have always loved the idea of getting the opportunity to stay (and maybe live someday) in a tiny home and were excited when we discovered Paul and Cathy's home. Also, the fact that we got to experience it in a somewhat remote and beautiful area was awesome too. We saw the photos they posted of the view surrounding the place, but MAN.... there are no words to describe the view up there where their land is located. Its breathtaking. So, Paul met us in the driveway when we pulled up and gave us the grand tour of every nook and cranny, in and outdoors of the tiny home that he built himself. It is all so fascinating to us and he was happy to answer all our questions. We seriously loved every minute of it. We later met up with Cathy who had some delicious lemon muffins waiting for us to enjoy later. Paul built a shower indoors BUT, there is also an optional outdoor shower which has a little window cutout in the wall that faces this incredible view of the mountains (you'll have to see it to know what I'm talking about but also just trust me that it's decent). No matter how nerve wrecking it is to be in the buff outside, you HAVE to experience taking a shower out there, cause it was sooo relaxing. The house was was even better than the pictures in the Airbnb listing. It was incredibly clean and even had that new house smell still. With two people and our suitcases it never felt cramped but I would bet that maybe with a third adult it might. Still do-able though. My only complaint of the entire experience was the bed which appeared to be an expensive air mattress. I was a little bummed after discovering this because, no one wants to sleep on an air mattress. However, after some thought I figured out why they did it. If you look at the eighth photo on the listing where it shows the bed, that hole that the latter feeds up to is the only way to get anything in or out of that room. We figured that they couldn't fit a regular mattress in there unless they built it in! So we can't complain to much that for practical reasons. It was still comfortable enough though and the rest of the house and land DEFINITELY made up for the bed situation. If you are visiting the Mountain View area, this place is a no brainer. My wife and I will never stay anywhere else and will definitely be back. Check out their other listings too (which is on the same piece of land) if you are traveling with a bigger group than three.

  • This house was the perfect place to stay for anniversary weekend away !! Paul and Cathy were amazing hosts, Cathy even had a chocolate cake waiting for us ! We would recommend this place to everyone and plan on coming back. Thank you for everything!

  • This was our first Airbnb stay as well as our first tiny house experience! The trip was for our fifth wedding anniversary, as well as my birthday. When my husband and I arrived at the tiny house, we were greeted by Paul and Cathy. They were so welcoming and showed us around their property, as well as the adorable tiny house. Cathy surprised us with an anniversary/birthday cake that was absolutely delicious. That was such a sweet gesture. The tiny house itself was so well made. Paul did an awesome job. We were both quite impressed with how much was packed into those 180 sq. ft.!!! Everything was perfect. I thought that the bed up the stairs to the loft would be a bit of a squeeze, but there was quite a bit of room up in that loft! The bed was very comfortable. We slept great both nights. One of my favorite part of the house was the view out of the kitchen window. Just beautiful. There were deer all over the property, and I admit that at first, I thought they were fake. And then they moved. I was in awe. Another favorite, was the cat, Nosey. She came up to my husband on our first morning and we sought her out then on out. She was such a sweetie. We packed a lot into our two days in Mountain View, but the highlight was certainly staying at the tiny house and meeting Paul and Cathy.

  • We really enjoyed our time at Paul and Cathy's Tiny House. It was so special and unique. Everything is done well and with much thought put into small details. Paul and Cathy were wonderful host and hostess. They are friendly, thoughtful, warm and caring people. They make your stay special. The Tiny House was beautifully done inside and out. The views from this mountain top were awesome!! We had such a great experience that we are making plans to revisit and bring friends with us to enjoy this wonderful place.

  • Twin Pines is a beautiful and luxurious log cabin, located right by great fishing and boating in the White River, 6 miles out of Mountain View (popular folk music scene!), and about 10 miles to Blanchard Caverns and springs (be sure to tour the caverns and swim in the springs!). The cabin is very comfortable for a large family, but the best part is the big back porch and the incredible view of the river valley. We planned our days around being home in time for the amazing sunsets over the valley.

While summer is the most popular season for visiting our area, there are numerous advantages to a spring and fall visits. There are fewer people and both spring and fall weather are exceptionally beautiful. In the spring the flora is much greener as it has yet to suffer from the heat and drought of summer. Fall foliage lasts almost a month in the Ozarks so you'll enjoy a lot of color in cool fall weather. Fishing is better in the cooler spring and fall months as well. In October there are several area festivals taking advantage of the colorful cool fall weather. With the exception of a few cold snaps in January and February, daytime temperatures are above freezing and are frequently well into the 50's. Winter is a great time to explore the Ozarks as you see more of the karst geology landforms the Ozarks are famous for. Fishing is also excellent in winter. Several hunting seasons offer a chance to bag black bear, whitetail, and wild hog. Just 10 minutes up the road are 130,000 acres of public hunting grounds in the Sylamore District of the Ozark National Forest. Ozark springs are beautiful and the fishing is really at its best this time of year. Early spring starts about the first week of March. Wildflowers begin blooming, songbirds are singing as are spring peepers. Trees are fully leafed out by April 15. Redbud trees bloom from mid March through early April. Dogwoods begin their bloom from late March through mid April. Spring is also wild turkey season, and wild turkey are plentiful in this area. Summer begins by mid May and lasts through mid September. Daytime temperatures are well into the 80's and 90's by mid June. July and August are the hottest months with several days over 100 degrees being typical in August. This is the time of year most tourists are on the lake or river to stay cool. The White River shoreline air temperature tends to be about 10 degrees cooler than surrounding air temperatures. In addition water evaporates off the river surface further enhancing its cooling effect. The White River Tree House is close enough to the river to benefit from what we call Nature's Air Conditioner. Fall temperatures begin by the first week or so of October. Fall foliage begins in mid October. Ozark foliage tends to peak in our area about the first week of November with leaves off the trees by mid November.

It was located perfectly very close to town ( Mountain View) and a hop and a jump to Blanchard Springs. It was complete with full fridge, stove, and camp fire area which enabled us to bring our own food and even cook s'mores on the campfire. • Relaxing & scenic! We loved our little getaway! Highly recommended!

    Kari2017-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • The house was exactly what we expected. There was plenty of room for 7 people and a dog. We greatly enjoyed the fire pit and my pup loved running around the huge open space. I would definitely recommend for someone looking for a relaxing getaway! It was an interesting drive in on the steep gravel roads but we made it! Even with the two houses on either side, we still had plenty of privacy. The kitchen was fully stocked and even had a crock pot. It was the perfect way to start 2017!

    Tara2017-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin and the meadow are truly lovely. The cabin is beautifully decorated! It's simple, yet with perfect mountain chic touches! The creek is just across the meadow. Our children had the best time wading, skipping rocks, and exploring. We also saw deer each morning. The only downside for us was not having the whole space to ourselves. The cabinette mentioned is right next to the main cabin. If we were doing this over, we would absolutely pay the reduced rate to reserve the cabinette without staying in it. I didn't read all the info--oops!! The cottage is a little further down and if you have good neighbors staying there it wouldn't be as big a deal. We have discussed that these three home would make an ideal set up for a trip with multiple families, though. Thanks so much for sharing the Meadow View Cabin with us.

    Angela2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect escape not far from town. Quiet calm nights, you can hear the creek in the distance. Everything was very comfortable.

    Joseph2017-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely adored our stay at the cabin. It was so beautiful, and there was so much to do in the area! I don't think I had quite processed that the beautiful creek is right there in the backyard, on the other side of the meadow. My girls and dog had such a good time playing there. The house was beautifully decorated and very comfortable for all of us. There are really 4 sleeping spaces- three full size bedrooms with full beds, and a loft/passthrough area with a daybed. We had more space than we needed! We loved the nearby Folk Center, Blanchard Springs, the town square and BBQ, and canoeing on the Buffalo River. The roads in the area are twisty and narrow, so we're glad we arrived during the daytime. April was the perfect time of year- not too hot and not too many bugs. Can't wait to go back!

    Amy2017-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful family weekend at this cabin! It was spacious and I was very happy that even though they allow pets I had no issues as an allergy sufferer so they must clean well afterwards. Definately bring your bug repellant as you will need it after dark! The creek is wonderful- clear, cool, and peacful. Location is very secluded from town but only 10-15 minutes from the main strip where you can get pretty much anything you need. The hostesses were very accomodating and friendly. The only considerations are that the cabinette next door is really like mother-in-law quarters, which could be an issue for those looking for total privacy and the beds and linens/towel are about the quality of a pull out sofa for those that are picky about that- which I am and it's still not a deal breaker for sure. There are several fun, affordable outdoor acivites within 15-45 minute drive of the cabin. We would certainly stay here again!

    Aleisha2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is the perfect getaway to unplug and unwind. The view and quietness can’t be beat. Spend your days in the creek exploring and your nights around the fire. It was the perfect girls weekend and we are already planning our next! Emily and Virginia were amazing to work with and sent exact directions! If you really want to getaway, you won’t regret staying here!

  • Cathy's Country Cottage was great! We were greeted with some of her homemade banana nut muffins and immediately felt right at home. The house looked just like it was shown in the pictures. Brand new appliances (which we used to make blueberry pie), a beautiful balcony looking out over the trees, and cozy living room area were just a few of the things that we enjoyed about the cottage. Paul and Cathy were very accommodating during our stay and gave us some great recommendations of where to go in town. We will definitely stay here the next time we visit Mountain View. Thank you guys!

  • Wow, what an amazing place! The pictures don't do it justice, the mountain view is absolutely gorgeous! My family enjoyed our stay here; the cottage was spotless and felt so welcoming. During our stay we went to Blanchard Springs Cavern, which was incredible, I'd highly recommend it. We're sure to be recommending Cathy's Cottage to all of our friends!

  • We were warmly welcomed by Cathy and Paul and Cathy's homemade muffins and carrot cake. They were very responsive when we requested additional supplies. You can see Cathy's pride in ownership by the condition of the cottage and furnishings. The rooms are large and comfortable. The kitchen is well equiped and modern. The towels are new and soft. The beds are comfortable. We enjoyed the large covered back porch and the views and the BBQ. We will stay here again the next time we are in the area.

  • Cathy was away but her husband Paul was a welcoming, kind, and thoughtful host. He gave us some delicious coffee bread, Cathy had been so kind as to bake for us, a tour of the wonderful tiny house that can also be booked, and lots of local knowledge. Our toddler loved running laps around the wrap round porch and seeing the bunnies hopping on the property. We saw deer and tortoises as well. The house was very comfortable and clean and we'd love to stay again!

  • Amazing hosts, wonderful location. A nice place to escape and also feel right at home.

    Payton2017-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Cathy was very welcoming and since we arrived after dark she went out of her way to meet us and guide us into the property because we thought we were lost. It was also late and restaurants in the area were closed so Cathy offered to make us sandwiches, fruit, and pudding. We also left a couple items behind and she offered to mail it to us. The property was absolutely gorgeous and very relaxing. Our only negative comment was that we wished we had been informed in advance that the road into the property was loose gravel. We were on motorcycles and that isn't a good mix. We honed our skills definitely. We would come back again but next time not on our motorcycles.

    Julie2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Cathy's place is in a great location. You feel secluded but are close to downtown. The view is beautiful! The home is so comfortable and the porch is great. Our kids loved sharing the room with the bunk beds! And Cathy thought of everything for our youngest who is 1 year old. She had a gate up on the porch and a crib set up, and a highchair. That made the stay even more relaxing!

  • We had a wonderful weekend at this cozy home on the White River. Four adults and two children (5 and 7yo boys) loved the convenience of the private boat launch and the scenic view from the deck (if we were home, we were rocking on this deck). We enjoyed a pleasant 5mi canoe/kayak float w the kids Saturday morning (caught a few nice rainbow trout!), then drove a few miles to the beautiful swimming hole at Blanchard Springs Caverns -- we explored the caves Friday after checking in; RECOMMENDED, everybody loved that tour. We spent Saturday night roaming around downtown Mtn. View, listening to the gifted local musicians who spontaneously gather on porches to play. This was a real treat. We all had high hopes for this trip and they were exceeded. Thank you, hosts! ️️️️️

  • The best cabin stay we've ever had.

    Rita2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was a really lovely cabin in beautiful surroundings - peaceful and easy to find, within easy distance of Mountain View itself and some great walks. Frank was extremely helpful, the cabin was comfortable, really well maintained, and perfect for us - two adults and two children. In fact we decided to stay another night we enjoyed it so much. Highly recommended

  • Frank's place is perfectly secluded near Blanchard Springs Caverns. It's about a ten minute drive to the caverns or to Mountain View. Mountain View has a great square for eating and shopping. The cabin was very clean and the shower was huge!

The Cottage at the Creek is a popular dedicated vacation rental located about 15 minutes from town and most area attractions. It is under new ownership and management as of Jan 2017. WIFI for streaming has been added among full furnishing facelift. It is in a sublime meadow with direct access to S. Sylamore Creek (pronounced like Sycamore). You will experience remote Ozark Hollow Living and most creature comforts for 4 people. Feels guilty to admit it, but probably a fave of owner's several.
Cottage is 650sf+-. It is on one level with a few steps leading up to it. It is located about 100 yards above the floodplain of the creek. You amble down the meadow to access the creek. Creek is good always except in high water events. You can expect it to be about 1-3 foot deep on average. It is spring fed, year round, gin clear and healthy. Trout will run it winter months. Smallmouh fishing is possible during higher water levels. (Please catch and release the smallies) There is spacious bedroom with and a comfy queen bed that looks out on the meadow. The kitchen is fully appointed with a stove, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher. There is a washer and dryer combo for your convenience. For dining there is a bar with seating for four. In the living room area we have two chairs and a very comfortable sleeper sofa.
The cottage is in a valley surrounded on all sides by mountains, and is located 15 minutes from the court square and most area attractions. Upon booking confirmation you will receive an area guide and recommendations from myself and some pals. This will also include more details about the immediate environs. Directions. keyed access. trash. etc.
  • We had a wonderful time in the Cottage. All of the creature comforts needed, and the stream and property was gorgeous. The location was very isolated, down a long lane, into a valley. We literally felt like we were in a temperate rain forest. The cabin was just the right size for our two adults and three small children. Our dog was very happy. When it did rain, it gave us a break from the sun and listening to the rain on the tin roof was relaxing. The fridge, washer/dryer, bathroom, air conditioning, and TV/wifi, all worked well. We unplugged mostly, but listened to music, and on hot afternoons our kids took a break to watch cartoons. Blanchard springs and caverns is a must, and the Ozark Folk Center was great for us and the kids too. We had a wonderful time.

    Sean2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay here and enjoyed sitting out around the fire pit. We loved the rocks, and were blown away by the stars, we've never seen stars like that. We were close enough to town to get whatever we needed, yet far enough out to enjoy the solitude. Perfect!

    Jim2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Emily and Virginia's cottage was everything we had hoped for, and more! We felt so comfortable there, and the serenity and seclusion were exactly what we were looking for in a quiet weekend away. We truly felt at home.

    April2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Love love love! The only complaint was the weather but alas there's nothing we can do about that! My friend and I found the place very neat and tidy! The decor is very well put together and all the furniture was comfortable as well! It's off the beaten path so if your looking for something where you might not see another soul this would be the place! The neighboring cabins are close but not so close that the noise is a bother! Dog friendly was a huge plus I've never seen my puppy love the water as much as she did down at the little creek!! Make sure you take a moment at night and star gaze while you sit next to the fire pit!! If your wondering about Mountain view the downtown area is super cute with tons of antiques, food, music and a couple of quilting shops! Ken folks BBQ downtown was great! The Mexican place on the square was great as well, and they allowed us to eat with our dogs on the patio! I can't say enough good things about this cabin or the town that it is located in! My friend and I are already thinking we need to come back in a few months for a fall retreat!! P.s. Bring bug repellent!

    Brianna2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Emily and Virginia's place has lovely decorations and the cabin was thoughtfully stocked with common household necessities. Plently of bath towels, bedroom linens, and even creek towels were provided! The cabin was very clean and offered local snacks/honey (if you chose to try them out). The property surrounding the cabin and the view off the two porches was spectacular. The property has a well kept meadow in the front yard with a mowed path to the crystal clear creek! My two dogs loved it there! Two downsides to the cabin (and this is pretty nit picky) is that the sound quality for the TV is pretty poor and muffeled and the dryer takes two cycles to dry with a medium load of laundrey. Other than those two small details, our stay was very comfortable and cozy!

    Katie 2017-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Virginia was an incredible host. All of her responses / communication were timely and informative. She helped in so many ways it's impossible to write it all down here. The place itself was the perfect size for two and everything was updated and comfortable. I truly felt at home. The land around the cabin was gorgeous and felt in the middle of no where and yet it was a 15 minute drive into Mountain View proper. Will return to this site any time I can.

    Suneeta2017-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • We wanted to be off the beaten path ; In a quiet beautiful area ; This Place exceeded our expectations! The pictures do not do it justice. It's so quiet there at night, sitting on the front porch, we could here creek flowing 100 or so yards away. The cottage was clean and freshly decorated. The bed was very comfortable. The entire front is lined with windows with a great view of the meadow and mountains. We didn't want to leave, and definitely plan to stay again. I will advise to plan your arrival before sundown. The drive in can be tricky first time around, as said before it's off the beaten path. Make sure to download or print and follow Virginia's directions and don't rely on gps or phone. Also you may want to take you some bottled drinking water. It may have just been us but it wasn't what we were used to so we drank from bottles and used the tap for everything else.

    Joe2017-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time at Emily and Virginia’s Cottage! The house was very clean and tastefully decorated. We cooked dinner both nights and found all everything we needed. The location of the cottage in the middle of the meadow is just beautiful! Our dogs loved playing in the creek and my husband and I caught several bass. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable time and hope to plan another trip in the future!

Scenic mountain retreat with beautiful views of the Ozarks. Located at the edge of Mountain View, the folk music capital of the world. Family friendly with homey decor and full amenities. Always well kept!
Both upper and lower units are spacious and very comfortable. There is space outdoors to enjoy the beauty of the mountainous scenery and yet not have to be directly exposed to the elements of the outside. There is plenty of covered areas to sit or swing and just relax! We provide all the necessary amenities needed to feel at home. We have put a lot of thought into providing for all ages. Both upper and lower unit have about 1300 sq ft of living space! We're handicapped accessible and also, we have provisions to accommodate the very young.
We own the property on our mountain top, so, aside from ourselves and my husband's father, we have no other neighbors to deal with. We enjoy the quiet and solitude our home provides.
  • Had a great time at a beautiful place. Everything was very clean and well kept and Cathey was super nice

  • Cathy and Paul were wonderful hosts. Her cottage was very nice with plenty of room and amenities. The huge porch and outside dinning area allowed us to enjoy the great views and outdoors. The playground in view of the house was a nice way to keep the kids entertained without much concern. The location is quite and secluded, with great star gazing at night. Wish I could have stayed longer, but definitely plan on coming back.

    Juan2015-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Cathy and Paul are absolutely fabulous!! The cottage is very well maintained and very clean. The cottage is in the country very close to all the attractions. Blanchard caverns , horse back riding, hiking trails and swimming were all a short drive away. I didn't even need to go into town. I plan on coming back maybe in the fall. Mountain View is a great weekend getaway!!

  • Cathy and Paul are very friendly hosts and super nice people. Our family of four had a wonderful stay at Cathy's Cottage. The Creek Studio offers the following; privacy, wooded surroundings with limestone boulders, wood stove and fire pit, elevated setting, oversized covered deck, fresh decor and a 2 minute walk to one of the best swim and fishing holes around. Hi speed internet for streaming way out here.
Studio is 480sf fishing cabin that has been born again. The outdoor seating area is almost equal the footprint of the studio. The porch deck is fully fenced off and gated to keep pets (or little people) in sight. *Dog friendly property. Please state your pet guest intentions upon booking. Dog fees: $45 for 1st dog and $15 for each additional. No more than 3 dogs allowed. Fee will be invoiced separately via PayPal. We go to great lengths to keep property welcoming to those not dog friendly. (and we have several rules you must adhere to if bringing your dogs. We love dogs by the way and oh boy do they love it here)
Studio is located about 100 yards from S. Sylamore creek that is brimming with smallmouth, seasonal trout, canoeing and swim holes galore. It's about a 10 minute drive to town square/shopping, 10 minutes to Blanchard Caverns/ Sylamore forest trails, 15 minutes to White River and 15 minutes to Ozark Folk Center. (the drives are all lovely too) There is a common swimming hole about 3 minute walk away. Neighborhood wants it cleared out by 7 pm. (I have a secret spot I can share also) There is one other nearby home barely in sight in the winter months and you will be able to see the county road out front. 4 wheelers and a handful of neighbors on their way to the creek pass by. Deer are in the yard nightly. Best Canoeing is often from April to June. Swimming hole good always except in high water events. Creek is springfed and very healthy. Trout run it from Dec to June thereabout. Smallmouth fishing best in summer, but can catch whoppers year round. Just heard first hand of 6lb11oz caught out front few years back!
  • Absolutely loved this place! It's adorable! Virginia and Emily were great from the start and answered any questions I had. We found the place easily despite arriving in the dark. It is accurately described and I loved the personal touches which makes the cabin feel extra cozy. The kitchen had everything you may need to cook a meal or two and if you need anything the Walmart and other grocery store are 10 mins or so away. It is conveniently located to anything you want to do. Make sure you go to the brewery! It's a 30 min drive but well worth it. Super friendly people and good beer. Don't miss it! We went in the winter so I wasn't able to enjoy the swimming hole but I will be back. Having Netflix and Amazon Prime to watch was great especially since it was so cold when we were there and couldn't go outdoors. I can't wait to return and enjoy the deck!

  • This was one of the most relaxing vacations we've had. The cabin was clean, cozy, and well decorated. Great wifi & the creek was a huge hit. I highly recommend this cabin and will definitely book again.

    Brittney2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Virginia was a great host! Always attentive and patient. The area itself my girlfriend wasn't too fond of. She believed the homes around were too close and the path to the stores dangerous. She also believed that the studio itself was too small and "in total the size of a mediocre living room". There was rat poison in the studio we weren't warned about and could have killed our dogs but all in all I thought the studio and area was fine, but to each their own. The river nearby was nice and so was the scene.

    Zane2017-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was extremely charming with all the attention to detail. Beautifully decorated and very cozy. Books everything, encouraging quotes and thoughts, and the deck with the lights and magnificent tree coming up through it, set the stage for a wonderful weekend with my husband. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed. The location was beautiful and peaceful. Virginia was very helpful and available for any questions. While we were there, we planned 2 more trips so far this year. Can't wait to go back!!

It was just what I needed for a weekend getaway. I will absolutely be back.

My place is close to the Ozark National Forest, Blanchard Springs Cavern and Mountain View, AR. . You’ll love my place because of the quiet area. It's perfect for couples, individual travelers, hunters and fisherman..
  • I get that it's a cabin so I was excusing the spiders and moths, but the roaches grossed me out!

  • Located VERY near Blanchard Springs and Loco Ropes. 8 miles to the nearest wine and spirits store and about 20 minutes from Walmart and restaurants. Check the hot water in the shower *before* it's time for you to get in. Cabin 5 ran out of hot water quickly. Maybe the water heater's been updated since my stay.

    Arian2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • First off, Jason is a very prompt and thorough communicator, and very friendly and willing to answer all questions. Getting there, moving everything in and then leaving the next day was a complete cinch. Secondly, the cabin I stayed in (a one-bedroom with microfridge and microwave) was great! I wanted a place where I could do some prayer and self-reflection without the "noise" of life (no TV, Internet or phone calls), and this fit the bill perfectly. Compact, but not cramped. While the cabins are located along a "highway," noise is not a factor. The most you will hear is the occasional motorcycle driving by, and the cabin blocks out most outside sounds. Finally, the cabin is well-located. You're within a ten minute drive of Blanchard Springs Caverns, Mirror Lake and its beautiful waterfall, and Steele Creek Waterfall Trail. 20 minutes from the cabin is Mountain View, a cultural hub of Arkansas that also includes all the major stores you may need (like Walmart). So really it's the best of both worlds: easy access to activities and emergency runs, but quiet and seclusion at your home base.

  • My husband and I absolutely loved staying at Creekside Hideaway!! This was our first Airbnb experience and we were celebrating my 25th birthday! From the beautiful view from the giant porch, to the adventures on the creek, we thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at this beautiful location near Mountain View! We had planned on doing more things in town but ended up staying and fishing up and down the creek for 3 days straight before even going into town! The house is beautiful inside and out. Everything was very clean and very modern. And even though it was just me, my husband, and our dog, the house can comfortably sleep up to 7 people! We loved the cozy fire pit outside and spent every morning on the back porch sipping coffee and watching for wildlife (we saw 3 deer right in the back yard!!). The kitchen was full of all the cookware we needed and everything was very clean and organized. Most of our day was spent at the creek which was just a short walk away! The water and scenery were so beautiful and the fish were biting, we couldn’t stay away! We fished with worms and caught several brim, bass, and even some fish we had never seen before! When we did go to town to explore the city, we were just minutes away from hot spots like the Ozark Folk Center, Blanchard Springs Caverns, the City Park, and all the good eating places like JoJo’s and Anglers! If you are looking to stay anywhere near the Mountain View area, we HIGHLY reccomend staying at Creekside Hideaway! We will defiantly be back!

  • We had a wonderful few days at Creekside Hideaway. The house was well appointed and comfortable. The scenery was magnificent. The hosts were responsive and accommodating. We took advantage of the concierge service and ordered pastries for the morning we arrived. They were yummy! We would love to return sometime in the future.

  • This is a beautifully redone house in a wonderful location. It is clean, comfortable and very well furnished. The kitchen had practically everything we could possible need. Emily and Virginia were very responsive to our inquiries. After sending us incorrect driving directions, they were extremely vigilant in correcting the mistake and getting us to where we needed to go, even during a holiday weekend. They were also helpful in providing information about Mountain View and the area. All in all, this is a great house and an excellent value.
