Natural Feature
“Make sure you allow a whole day for a visit to Milford Sound. The drive into Milford Sound is truely spectacular, so its a good idea to share the driving so you each get an opportunity to enjoy it without concentrating on driving. We recommend booking a morning cruise on the sounds and then spending the remainder of the day enjoying the short walks and sightseeing along the road back to Te Anau. If you are particularly keen hikers and the day is clear, then take a walk up to Key Summit or Lake Marian.”

“Best place in Te Anau for Coffee and lunch is Sandfly Cafe Address: 9 The Lane, Te Anau 9600 Phone: 03-249 9529 OR If you enjoy Sushi or Baos then head to the caravans based across from Fresh Choice supermarket. The two caravans are owned by the same person and the standard of food has never disappointed me. Thoroughly recommend for lunch. I recommend the Fat Duck for evening dining but If you want to dine there it will pay for you to book before early as it can be hard to get into. Address: 124 Town Centre, Te Anau 9600 Phone: 03-249 8480”
