Malay Restaurant
“We love this restaurant. The menu is made up of traditional Malaysian dishes, Indonesian and Chinese dishes. It has a balanced menu, with many traditional Malaysian dishes, perhaps not all of them, but a good selection. The restaurant layout is nice and the atmosphere warm. The staff are criendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Good portion sizes too. It's a must try.”

Pub
“A cornerstone Footscray pub where you can find locals enjoying the Mexican inspired menu with a pint every night of the week. Known for Taco Tuesday's where all tacos are a ludicrously cheap. They are especially vegetarian and vegan friendly. And with a wall of hot sauce to choose from, you won't be disappointed. The pub also supports live music.”

Vietnamese Restaurant
“Vietnamese restaurant a bit more pricy ($20ish per dish) than some you'll find but a firm favourite of mine. Big beer selection and the organic chicken coleslaw is off the hook (translation = very good), the crispy pork belly eggplant salad is not too shabby either. ”

Café
“Advieh, with an emphasis on vegan and vegetarian meals is cafe and restaurant. Inspired by the Middle East, the interior has a rustic, woody aesthetic that complements the mismatched furniture – some of it found in antique stores, some of it made by Kapaufs himself. The menu is heavily influenced by Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavours. There are dishes such as dukka-pesto, rocket and avocado on sourdough, topped with pecorino cheese, homemade dukka and a poached egg. There’s also homemade bruschetta –a hummus or baba ganoush on sourdough with fresh tomatoes and basil.”
