Winery
“A local winery that exclusively crafts organic, non sulfate, non sulfite wine and other organic craft foods such as salsas, dips, tapenade, etc. They are unique when it comes to their style of making wine and a must experience for any wine enthusiast. DISCLAIMER: We are not associated with China Bend Winery although we do know the owners. It is our opinion that if you purchase a bottle or 2 from them after tasting, you should drink those bottles relatively quickly. The quality of the wine will not last over time due to the lack of sulfite/sulfate preservatives and IT WILL SPOIL if not consumed soon after purchase. We tell you this because we want you to enjoy your wine and experience!”

“The oldest bar in the state of Washington! This classic is an iconic place to stop in for a drink. It was once an old brothel in the 1800's and still has small remnants of that time scattered about the building. The decor is the quintessential local dive mixed with history. 80's beer posters featuring scantily clad models, trophy deer on the walls, photos of the local favorite TACO TUESDAY all you can eat competition among the most prominent. If you like spooky stuff, be sure to ask the bar tender about the ghosts that live upstairs, seriously. Features: mini bowling, shuffleboard, and darts Don't forget to mention that your hosts Art, Gabriel and Nina from Lazy Daze Retreats sent you! ”

“The new owners have rebranded this restaurant from a small town dive bar into a diner that serves as the only place in town that serves dinner most nights (aside from Taco Tuesday's at Kuk's Tavern). “The 160 mile-long Lake Roosevelt was formed when Coulee Dam was erected on the Columbia River. The lake forms the western boundary of Stevens County, where Chewelah is located. For a beautiful scenic drive, head over to Hwy 25 across Addy-Gifford Rd and drive the loop around a portion of the lake that includes a free ferry ride across.”
