Frensham Holiday Rentals

Just booked in Frensham

The house is a characterful Arts And Crafts cottage filled with interesting curios hidden up a shared driveway. There is a huge, light kitchen, a wood burner in the cosy living room and a charming quiet garden with areas to relax among the trees.
Lower Bourne is a village just South of Farnham. The village green with tennis courts and children's playground is a 4 minute walk from the cottage. There is a good local shop with Post Office and cash machine and also a Pharmacy. Farnham, which is a pretty Georgian and Tudor Market Town, has a castle, a museum, a pottery/art gallery occasional Farmers Markets and an excellent Arts Centre with live music, yoga classes, antique and book fairs, two cafes, film shows twice a week and live stand up and children's theatre. Further afield you can visit Jane Austen's house (about half an hour away) and several beautiful National Trust country house and gardens. Waverley Abbey Ruins and Frensham Ponds (with a sailing club, beach and cafe) are all ten minutes drive away.
  • Abigail's house is a lovely comfortable place. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Abigail but she could not have been more helpful in the run up to our trip. It was a perfect location for us to attend a wedding at Frensham Pond Hotel. We would certainly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area.

  • It was a pleasure staying with Abigail in her beautiful home! She was very helpful, kind and welcoming! The surrounding area in Farnham is picturesque and everything you would want from a countryside escape. Her home was beautiful and cosy with nice views of the area from our bedroom window. I also have to mention the stunning garden where we enjoyed a coffee in the morning. Abigail was an excellent host and I would strongly recommend her to anyone!

  • This is a really tranquil place to stay, even though it's only a few minutes' drive into Farnham; also walkable to Farnham with the right footwear and a bit of time to spare! Lovely room and Abigail makes sure you have everything you need.

  • Abigail's home is an absolute delight, beautifully furnished ,in a secluded leafy suburb and we felt at ease following her warm welcome. She advised on where to eat in Farnham, places to visit if we had time, and kindly took us to Northbrook where we had a wedding to attend. We enjoyed meeting her and chatting over breakfast , and would happily stay again .

  • Abigail was a lovely host. She made us feel welcome and relaxed, check-in & out was easy, all the info we needed provides. Had a great night's sleep thanks to a comfortable bed. Our stay was brief, somewhere to rest our heads after attending a wedding. But what a treat to find such a beautiful home and lovely host.

    Jennifer2017-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely stay with Abigail. The cottage is so pretty and the room was wonderful. Abigail made us feel so at home and was more than happy for us to use the home as if it were our own. Communication and check in we're a breeze and Abigail even gave us a lift to the wedding venue after checking us in. 5* accommodation. If we're ever in the area again we'll be sure to stay at the cottage. Thank you!!

    Hugh2017-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • A charming cottage belonging to a most charming owner. We were made to feel most welcome on arrival. Nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely stay with her again.

  • I made the booking for my friend, as we were staying locally. I met Abigail, and she was extremely welcoming. My friend felt really at home, during her two night stay. Thanks very much for having her, Abigail!

The Cabin is set in my garden which backs onto Alice Holt Forest. It has one large room & two smaller rooms as well as front and back covered balconies. There is a double bed a single pull out sofa bed as well as a small sofa & wood burner in the larger room. There is also an ensuite and kitchenette area (fridge, kettle, microwave, toaster as well as a washing machine). There are radiators for the chillier nights. The cabin is located in the heart of the countryside but is just a short drive to Alton & Farnham. The closest village is Bentley (pub, shop, hairdresser & Indian take away - which will deliver to Blacknest). The Country Market at Kingsley is just down the road and is great for fresh veges as well as having a very popular car boot sale every Wednesday & Sunday. Alice Holt Forest visitors centre (walking paths, play & picnic areas, 5km run on Sundays, bicycle hire, Go-Ape etc.) is walkable from the end of the garden through the forest. Bentley Station is 1 mile away - again walkable through the forest.
Blacknest is a hamlet in the countryside located on the edge of the South Downs National Park. There are a number of local attractions including Jane Austins house in Chawton, Gilbert Whites house & garden in Selborne, Alice Holt forest visitor centre, Farnham Castle, the Watercress line (Alton to Arlesford), the Watts Gallery (Compton). My place is close to many places of historical interest and natural beauty. In the village there is an Italian restaurant, Chinese + Pizza takeaway, coffee Lounge, local produce + grocery shop, post office + local pub. The A3 gives direct access to London or to the beach and Portsmouth. You’ll love my place because of the amazing nature surrounding it, the quaint English village feel and the quirky cosy property. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers and business travellers.
King size memory foam bed in "the cave" (converted basement with window to allow light and air) with private ensuite with power shower and heated towel rail. Toilet upstairs on landing next to the kitchen. You will have your own entrance via the kitchen so you can come and go as you please without going through the house. It is effectively a self contained flat you would rent for the price of a room.
I live on a small village street in a very friendly community with all amenities. I live next to the post office, there is also the British Legion pub, a charity shop, several different options for eating, a pharmacy and local grocery shops.
  • A lovely place to stay close to the devils punchbowl. Gen is a very accommodating host. The place is of high standard, and the locals are very pleasant. I would recommend to others.

  • The room is cosy and comfortable. Genevieve was very accommodating of my need to collect the key earlier, ie before a wedding. It all worked well.

    Willa2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, clean room. Variety of food provided for breakfast. We felt very comfortable and Genevieve was very welcoming. We were able to check in when it suited us and great to have check out until noon as we needed a late start after going to a wedding in Haslemere the night before. The property is easy to find and I would stay again if in the area. Thanks

  • A really nice and comfortable room, with a fantastic power shower! Genevieve is most helpful and understanding hostess with good local knowledge of places to visit and eat. Frensham Pond and The Devil's Punch Bowl are just a few minutes from her place and it is to our regret that we did not have enough time to explore these further. Highly recommended!

  • Sheelagh was really friendly and welcoming! The room i had upstairs was great. Very clean and comfortable, as was the bathroom. Garden was lovely too! Will definitely come back :-)

    Maria2017-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed with Sheelagh as we were working locally to her place in Farnham & it seemed the ideal location. I was delighted to find Sheelagh's place had such a beautiful garden, bustling with wildlife & the house itself is as full of character as our host. Sheelagh communicated well prior to arriving & had a great blend of chatting with us, making us feel welcome as well as giving us space to come & go as we pleased. I would recommend Sheelagh's place to anyone who loves the countryside.

  • The house is in a quiet residential lane. Lovely homely atmosphere, gorgeous garden. My room was a lovely ensuite room at the top of the house & my mum had a lovely double with bathroom next door. We would definately recommend Sheelaghs house

    leigh2017-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • If you travel by car and just want a peaceful but wonderful place to stay, Sheelagh's house is the place to be! She will welcome you with open arms in her neat and cozy house with a beautiful and large flower garden around it. When you book the large room, you get the whole second floor to yourself, including a balcony and bathroom with a shower. The view outside is fantastic. Keep in mind that you'll have to walk stairs to either of the rooms. There is a parking spot available, but it might be difficult to get into if you own a large car that needs a lot of space to turn. Overall: this place is totally worth it!

    Elmi2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Sheelagh went out of her way to help us and made our stay so lovely and relaxed! She has a beautiful home and was able to accomodate two people in seperate rooms. The rooms were stocked with amenities that made it a home from home. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sheelagh after recieving such a warm welcome and tea delivered to our rooms in the morning which was perfect! Many Thanks

Our house is a spacious and relaxing space, pleasantly located on the outskirts of a small English village in Surrey, UK. Many wonderful walks, cycle rides and country pubs can be accessed from the house. It is a great location to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. If required, I will provide a light breakfast – choice of cereal, fresh fruit, natural yogurt, croissants (if available), bread and preserves and a hot drink. Please specify if you have any food allergies.
Our house is situated in Elstead village, and benefits from a lovely location between the village recreation ground and fields, woodland. The house, built in 1927, has been totally renovated, maintaining its arts and crafts style, whilst adding modern bathrooms and a pleasant open plan kitchen with an aga, granite topped island, large kitchen table and plenty of space to relax. The south facing guest room has a double bed, small cupboard, desk space and overlooks the garden and fields/woodland beyond. The modern well-equipped bathroom is a couple of steps along a corridor. It has a spacious shower cubicle with a choice of two showerheads, a large bath, WC and sink with a large mirror/medicine cabinet with light and shaver point. The south facing garden overlooks our field with its ancient oak and two wildlife ponds. There is also a stream running around the field perimeter, and the area is teeming with wildlife. Frequent visitors include deer, foxes, squirrels, and a host of birdlife such as herons, pheasants and numerous smaller bird species. We enjoy hosting people in our home, and can help guests discover the local area. We are keen runners, hikers and cyclists (when family commitments allow!), and can advise on local routes for cyclists and hikers with maps and guidebooks. We've lived in the village for nearly 20 years so can give you lots of great tips on exploring both the village and other sights in the surrounding areas.
The house is on the southern outskirts of Elstead, an attractive village in the heart of the Surrey Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty. The area is ideal for walking, cycling and enjoying some of southern England's most attractive countryside. Many wonderful walks and cycle rides can be directly accessed from the house without needing to drive. Local beauty spots include The Moat, (half a mile away), Frensham ponds (6 miles away), and the Devil’s Punchbowl at Hindhead (7 miles away). The village is quiet and peaceful, with a beautiful historic church. It has a well-stocked Spar mini-supermarket opening onto the village green. It has a free ATM. We are well served with drinking and eating establishments within walking distance from the house. There are three great pubs which all serve food - the Woolpack, a traditional pub run with British and Italian food, The Mill, with a wonderful garden and the original ancient waterwheel and British food, and the Golden Fleece, which servesThai food. There is a friendly bar in the attractive British Legion, an excellent take away fish and chip shop, and a Chinese Restaurant, Pangs Lodge. There is also the Little Barn Cafe in the village, open 8.30 to 4pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Other shops include a hairdressers, a green grocers, a beauticians, antique shop and a pharmacy. The nearby historic small towns of Godalming and Farnham have many restaurants, shops and amenities, and the historic market town of Guildford is just ten miles away. The Royal Horticultural Society Garden at Wisley, as well as Hampton Court, are within easy driving distance. There are several golf clubs nearby. Whether you’re coming for a short break from London or from further afield and wanting to discover the English countryside and its pubs, explore the surrounding historic villages, cycle, walk or just want to just relax in the peace and quiet, Elstead is the perfect spot.

  • Sally is very prompt in her replies and is very accommodating to our requests even they are quite last minute. My husband wanted to travel with us and she find ways to help to provide extra bed. Her house is spacious and very charming. She is generous and gave us a couple of choices for breakfast. Her family members are all very friendly and we feel very welcomed although we only stayed one night. We will definitely consider their place again when we need a place to stay in Surrey.

    GK2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • I had 2 nights stay at Sally & Chris's place and it was excellent on all levels. Chris was friendly and attentive, as well as flexible with my arrival and leaving times. The room and bed were v clean & comfortable within a lovely family house. I was grateful for the table and chair in the bedroom, which is not 'standard'. The location is quiet, making it a relaxing place to rest up during a busy work trip. Everything is of a high standard. I look forward to hopefully staying again.

Recently converted garage area to a self contained annex. It is clean and light ( note: no blind on skylight) and comfortable. Good small kitchen and lovely shower room. Close to Farnham and Frensham Ponds. (Longish) Walking distance from Farnham on a leafy road, the annex is near enough to London, Heathrow, Gatwick, Winchester, the south coast and South Downs to make it attractive for a long term stay.
This is a self contained annex opposite our house. It's a converted garage and backs onto the road. The sitting room has a sofa bed and small dining table. Off the sitting room are the kitchen and bathroom. The whole of the upstairs is the bedroom with a sloping ceiling and skylight.
The attractions on our doorstep are Birdworld, Farnham Castle, Frensham Ponds, the Rural Life Centre and Farnham Maltings. I'm happy to point out some absolutely beautiful walks in National Trust woodland. Farnham has all the high street shops and facilities. There's a Co Op 5 minutes' drive away.
  • My Wife and I travelled down for a wedding and stayed 2 nights in this fantastic little find. Amanda was a fantastic host making us feel right at home and gave a great recommendation for a lovely meal at the local pub. The annex is superb. Light, spacious, spotless and beautifully quiet. We had a great weekend and would love to stay again if we are ever passing!

    Adam2017-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Amanda's place was really beautiful the pictures didn't do it justice at all, all the furnishings were so clean and modern and clearly finished to a very high standard! Every detail had been thought of, there were basic foods in the fridge which is really helpful after such a long journey, the towels were lovely and soft and there were candles in the bathroom! Amanda was a super host, seemed like a pro!! Could not recommend Amanda's place enough can't wait to come back!!

    Leanne2017-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Amanda is a lovely host, and she has a lovely family. I just wish I could adopt her Old English Sheepdog who's a real character. The self contained annex is wonderful. It is light and tastefully decorated with cooking facilities and a fridge freezer, the bed is lovely and soft and best of all, the shower is powerful (a must for me). Bourne woods is literally under 5 minutes walk from the annex where I regularly saw deer and foxes (one day I'll remember to take my camera with me, especially if there are some movie stars around). The internet is a good speed, I quite happily watch Netflix and iPlayer, although it's also nice and quiet if you like to chill out and read like me. There were basic provisions in the fridge on arrival which was fantastic. Oh, and Farnham and the train station are only a few minutes drive down the road (or about 40 minutes walk to the station... yes, I did try it). All-in-all I can't recommend it enough.

    Steven2017-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely apartment and fantastic host. Amanda accommodated all needs, including a fan (hottest week of the year so far) and even went and bought a wifi extender to ensure wifi strength was top notch throughout the apartment. Would highly recommend - just watch your head in the bedroom if you're any taller than 5 ft 8 as the ceiling slopes.

  • Amazing stay at the Treespace. Perfect little getaway to forget about daily life and just relax! The cabin itself was absolutely amazing with loads of space and all the home comforts you could need. The rainwater shower was incredible! The compost loo takes a while to get used to but makes the whole experience even more authentic! We will definitely return!

    Lauren2017-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Nic's Treespace gets a 10 out of 10 from us. Absolutely stunning scenery, great zen decor which proves that less is more and a really pleasant and helpful host. And our dog loved it too. Thanks Nic!

  • Great place for a quick trip away! Perfect location

    Elizabeth2017-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Such a magical place to get away from a busy city. You feel like you're in the jungle when looking out from the decking. It has all the amenities you could need and is a short 10 min walk from the devils punchbowl which was absolutely stunning. I'd recommend the Treespace to anyone!

    Michaela2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in Treespace for family wedding nearby, so suited our purposes perfectly. Lovely space in gorgeous setting. Nic was perfect host...great communication and very helpful....especially giving us phone number of very nice and reliable taxi driver, Richard. Thank you Graham. We maybe didn't especially like the compost loo, but we did get used to it! Had a good walk into Hazlemere to have dinner at White Horse pub on the day we arrived. Was maybe a little further than we expected, but suspect that we took the long route!! Recommend the pub. We met Nic very briefly, as we set off for wedding...very warm and friendly. We would have liked to have another day there to do some walks. Thank you Nic.....a lovely cabin, great deck and use of garden.

    ruth2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • We booked this cabin months ago for a visit to Goodwood revival, but at the last minute I was let down with childcare, I contacted Nic our host to explain, and she messaged back straight away to say that it wasn't a problem, my daughter was welcome too and she would provide a bed for her. We arrived to the beautiful location (great instructions on how to get there btw) and got settled into our lovely warm cosy cabin. Everything was provided, the whole place was peaceful, secluded with a truly beautiful atmosphere. Our hosts left us fantastic instructions and tips on where to eat and shop, and even provided torches. Our stay was magical, we searched for fairies in the garden, enjoyed the great tea and coffee, and slept brilliantly in the lovely bed. The view from the glazed doors is worth a visit alone. We will definitely be back, and couldn't recommend it enough, our host was so accommodating with excellent communication before, during and after our stay. The only issue is now my daughter is insistent on us having a composting loo! Oh, and you haven't lived til you've enjoyed a rainwater shower! Well done Nic and family on creating a beautiful, spiritual and eco friendly place to stay, the next time we are visiting the area, this is where we will be staying!

  • Julie's cottage is the perfect place for a relaxing stay in Farnham. All the essential amenities you need are available. Cooking meals in the cottage is no problem at all. It's walking distance to all the shops, grocery stores and restaurants. I recommend Julie's cottage and I will certainly be going back!

  • What a beautiful place! Had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend. Would definitely stay again :-)

    Lisa2017-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! What a super cute cottage! Great bathroom & kitchen facilitates, everything was high quality and reliable. Even the cleaning up stuff was easily accessible (and pleasant to use) so it made it easier for me to clean up after myself. The location is amazing! Right in the centre of town with Loch Fyne close by which is one my favourite places to eat! Coffee shops and Waitrose are within walking distance too. This was ideal, it was in the centre but so quiet that it really did feel like the countryside. Julie was amazing at leaving the key for me as I was arriving very late. I have my eye on this spot for the next time I am in Farnham for work.

    jambo2017-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had an absolutely lovely stay at the cottage. There's everything that you could possibly need and a lot of attention to detail has been put in the decorating of the place. The bed linen and the towels are of a really high quality as is everything else you can find in the cottage. Communication with Julie was very easy and enjoyable. The location of the property is brilliant with a public car park half a minute away and within only a short walk to the high street. I would definitely go back!

  • Jane was very welcoming and the house was lovely and warm when we arrived. It was well equipped and was perfectly positioned for our needs. Take note of Jane's instructions on how to approach the house if you're in a car as the road has terrible potholes if you come from the wrong direction. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly return if the need arose.

    Jane2016-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is the first time that we have used Airbnb and based on this experience it certainly will not be our last. We had no trouble finding the property thanks to Jane's detailed instructions. On arrival we we welcomed by Jane and was shown around the accommodation. the property was immaculately clean, ery comfortable and extremely good value for money. Jane had thoughtfully provided fresh milk, tea and coffee and even biscuits for us.

    Anne2016-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Jane and Martin were so lovely and so was their beautiful guest cottage. We were made to feel so welcome and the cottage was perfect for us and our two children. The village is really pretty and has restaurants and shops that are only a short walk away. Highly recommend!

  • We have just enjoyed a wonderful one night stay at Baileys. The owners were easy to communicate with and gave us a warm and friendly welcome. The accommodation is well equipped, fresh and spotlessly clean. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is modern and clean with a very powerful shower. Baileys is set in a quiet lane in a beautiful area with lots of lovely places to walk and great places to eat. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place for a short or longer stay - thank you for making our trip so relaxing and comfortable!

    Louisa2017-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Bailey's is a beautiful, quiet and peaceful little hideaway that we used as our home away from home for a friend's wedding at Cain Manor. Bailey's had everything we needed, including the ingredients for a much needed brew upon arrival! Jane had very thoughtfully left bedding in the bunk room in case some extra wedding guests/friends suddenly needed somewhere to stay. She greeted us upon arrival and then left us to settle in, I felt that Jane and her husband provided the perfect amount of interaction with us - they made us feel totally welcome! I would highly recommend a stay at Bailey's (and for those attending a wedding at Cain Manor it's only a quick 10 minute drive away). Oh and Jake, the dog is totally adorable.

    Abigail2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great little place, so handy for visiting the lovely Surry hills area, it was well equipped and a warm welcome on arrival from Jane X

    Leesa2016-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • We visited with family and dogs and had a wonderful time at Baileys. The property is a compact house next to the owners' home and was in immaculate condition, with kind extras such as milk in the fridge as well as tea and shortbreads. The location in Beacon Hill is lovely with good access to the things to do in the area. Jane and Martin were very friendly and welcoming, and their dogs and ours got on really well. Overall a great place to visit, highly recommended.

Catherine is such a nice and helpful person. She picked us up at the station , showed us how to get to farnham by bus, explained us some great routes for cycling and even helped us find a place for the next few month (we're staying for an exchange semester). We couldn't have found a better place. Thank you so much :)

  • I arrived later than usual guests at about 10pm, I was in a bit of a flap trying to find the place, I rang Catherine and she walked to greet me, she showed me around and made me feel relaxed and welcome, i made a cuppa and went to bed, the room was comfy and well presented, the faciltites were also clean and tidy, My only criticism would be the use of a second toilet maybe an idea when people are showering in the morning. although it was not too much of a problem. i would really recomend it, it felt safe and homely and i was made to feel very welcomed! thankyou Catherine.

THE SPACE The Bothy is a nineteenth century building renovated to a high standard and providing total privacy in an independent oak beamed building within our garden. The super king bed can become two singles if guests prefer. Central heating throughout. Outside there is a secluded patio with table and chairs for al fresco dining.
The cottage is in the centre of Elstead an attractive village in the heart of the Surrey Hills area of outstanding natural beauty. The area is ideal for walking, cycling and enjoying some of southern England’s most attractive countryside. The nearby towns of Godalming and Farnham have a wide variety of restaurants, shops, amenities and history, and Guildford is just seven miles away.
  • The Bothy is a beautiful little building in a lovely area , we had dinner at the Mill a fantastic pub with beautiful views. Allister was very welcoming and was very helpful . We went to the Devils punch bowl about 20 minutes drive from Elstead a great recommendation for a lovely early evening walk , we would love to visit again as there is so much to do being so close to Guildford and Aldershot . Highly recommended and thank you for a lovely visit

  • Ah, the beautiful, blissful Bothy! We stayed a week and would have loved to stay longer. Allister is a great host - he gave us a warm welcome along with essential information, and fresh milk in the fridge - tea coffee and biscuits were on the bench. He also provided a much needed ironing board and iron at very short notice. The Bothy is warm, cosy and well located - there are 3 pubs in easy walking distance (including one across the road), it has quick access to walks on the River Wey and the local commons. The space is perfect for two, the bed is super comfy and the bathroom is great - good strong electric shower. We will be back! Stay here, you will love it.

Our one bedroom apartment is in Alice Holt Forest, south of Farnham on the Surrey Hampshire Border. It is ideal for a weekend get away to the woods. Bring your bikes, kids and hiking shoes. It is also a great place to stay if you are going to one of the many rural wedding venues nearby. It is a new garage conversion with a full kitchen, bedroom with a small double bed and living room with a pull out double sofa bed.
Little Willow is a new garage conversion that is a one bedroom apartment attached to our family home. Stroll, ride bikes, adventure or explore - You will be staying in the middle of Alice Holt Forest, part of the South Downs National Park and one of England's loveliest National Forests. Access to its many walking and cycling paths is at your doorstep. The official visitors' centre is located across the road, a 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk away. There is a side garden which has a table and chairs and a fire pit to use (you are welcome to bring your own BBQ). A friendly country pub, The Jolly Farmer, is a ten minute walk away. They serve good food, traditional ales, and provide a warm and friendly welcome. They have a large children's play area.
We love our location, in a quiet cul de sac, in the middle of the forest, yet close to the Georgian Market Town of Farnham and the city of Guildford. Easy reach to the South Coast - Portsmouth and the sea side etc. Also for attractions such as Wyfest, the Farnborough Air Show etc.
  • Wonderful hosts who gave a warm welcome and ensure we had everything we needed for a good stay. We would recommend them highly and happily stay again in the future.

  • Peaceful location, beautifully presented and spotless. Everything you may require and comfortable lounge and plenty of space. We only stayed one night but the kitchen would be perfect for food preparation... and excellent communication and access...thank you

  • We really enjoyed staying in the Willow apartment. It was very well located for a nearby wedding and was a beautiful and tranquil space.

  • I loved the cleanliness and the warm welcome Julie gave us

    Mary2017-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • It was a very tidy and well kept accommodation, the host was very helpful before and during the stay.

    Jonathan2016-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • I had a fantastic stay at Lee and Julie's! It was very clean and quiet and had everything anyone could need to feel at home. I didn't get a chance explore the area as much as I would have liked but what I saw was very charming and I would definitely like to see more. My vacation was off to a bit of a rocky start but I was made to feel completely at ease immediately and my hosts went out of their way to accommodate me. I would 110% recommend staying here and will definitely rebook with them next time I come to the U.K. Thanks again to you both!

  • Martine made me incredibly welcome and her home feels full of joy and peace. We went on a walk up to the lovely tree in the picture so that coming out of London I could enjoy the English countryside that I do not often see. I felt completely at home and relaxed with Martine and her warmth made the reason why I was in the area so much easier to enjoy and make the most of. Thank you so much!

Our charming one bedroom renovated brushmaker's cottage is situated in an idyllic location in an area of beautiful countryside called "Little Switzerland" by the Victorians. It is a paradise for walkers and photographers. Despite its rural location there is easy access to London, Guildford, Portsmouth and South Downs/Chichester/Goodwood. The nearby village (half a mile) has just about everything you might need including a pub, coffee shop, restaurants, bakery and small supermarket.
Lovingly renovated cottage situated within the hosts' garden but not overlooked. The cottage comprises a sitting room with woodburning stove (and logs), a double bedroom with a restored brass bed, shower room and well equiped kitchen opening onto a small patio with table and chairs for al fresco eating. A z-bed can be made up in the bedroom if required.
  • A lovely little cottage, well equipped and even freshly baked bread on arrival! A beautiful area to explore but with amenities close by, if you are looking for a quick countryside getaway from London, this is perfect!

    Sarah2017-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely wonderful stay in what is an idyllic cottage in the most beautiful setting. Tilly is a fabulous host and everything we needed was catered for. Would highly recommend and will certainly return.

    Lucy2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the cottage and its surroundings. The cottage was very clean and well decorated, with a comfortable bed, a wood burning stove with a generous supply of firewood, supplied with very interesting books and information about local walks. The garden was amazing and beautiful, as were the surrounding woods and indeed the whole area. Tilsley and her husband were very welcoming and helpful. The kitchen was fitted with a small but adequate refrigerator, a combination microwave oven, and one induction hob with two induction hob saucepans. Everything was absolutely spotless.

Gorgeous wood cabin, self contained space with large decking area on hill top giving delightful views over Bourne Woods.
Self contained space, with all basic necessities, including TV, fridge, kettle, microwave and toaster.
The Bourne Woods (walking distance) and nearby Frensham Ponds are used regularly as film sets, for instance Snow White, New Avengers, Gladiator and many, many more. There is a convenience store, post office, newsagents and pharmacy a couple of minutes walk away. Also The Fox Inn, our local pub, serves a wonderful range of food lunchtimes and evenings.
  • The cabin was gorgeous...even better than the pictures!! The host was really nice, the area is very picturesque and we were very happy with the recommended restaurant 'the Holly Bush'. The facilities were good, parking was handy and we were delighted with the breakfast. Only thing to bear in mind for others planning to stay here is that the internet was not powerful enough to stream catch-up tv (All4) well on my iPad - this didn't bother us as staying in this cosy hideout was not about that!

    Aisha2015-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • My host couldn't have been more lovely if she tried. Hosting comes as second nature to her! I arrived on a very dark night and she met me on the street to guide me in, even carried my bag! The description of the cabin was spot on and exceeded my expectation. I just wish I had had more time to spend there - I stayed up too late both nights just taking in everything. It was splendid. The neighbourhood was really quiet and cosy. The cabin is up off the main road on a little hill with plenty of lighting. I felt very safe and undisturbed.

    Christine2015-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying here. The place is lovely and is located right near the station. We wanted to stay more than the one night we were there and are already looking into going back. I would highly recommend.

    Danielle2016-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic find. As others have said previously, the photos really don't do the place justice. My only criticism is that I lost an hour of sleep in the fabulously comfy bed as a result of the clocks going forward.....I don't think that I can hold the host responsible for daylight saving however! Really couldn't recommend this cabin highly enough and would go back in a heartbeat. Thanks Patricia!

    Sarah2016-03-30T00:00:00Z

This listing is for Pippin Pod. Our site is child free which will allow you to relax and enjoy the peace of the glorious countryside. Our Pods are close to the village of Kingsley In Hampshire which has a quaint village store, Alice Holt for woodland walks and a great garden Centre with Butchery, Restaurant, Gift & Shopping which is a short walk away. You’ll love the venue because of the rural location, the snugness and comfort of the pods. The Pods are situated in an orchard on a farm.
Pippin Pod has a standard double bed and is suitable for 2 guests, all bedding is included in the price. The Pod benefits from under floor heating, a small kitchen area with hob, microwave oven and fridge. There is an en-suite which has a standing shower, basin and WC. Every care has been taken to make sure that your stay is an enjoyable one. The pod has its own LuvTub which is suitable for two people. The tub is logged fired and its completely secluded from other guests. The water heats to a very warm 38 degrees. The tub is emptied and cleaned after every guests' stay. We have secure bike storage so if you would like to bring your bike you can rest assure that it is safe. There is an outside veranda with table and chairs for you to sit and enjoy the evening sunsets.
  • Pippin pod is fantastic, peaceful and relaxing spot and Lisa went above and beyond to ensure we have a great stay. Hot tub, location and host were all wonderful.

    Christopher2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely fantastic accomadotion. The pictures don't do it justice. The host Lisa was fantastic and communication with her was faultless . The pod was well kitted out and spotless. Will definitely look to stay again was so peaceful.

    Georgina2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little cute and remote setting, Lisa was extremely accommodating and friendly. Would recommend a weekend stay. Loads of great places to eat and ride bikes definitely worth a visit.

    terri2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely weekend in the Pippin pod! From the beginning Lisa was very responsive, always happy to help and went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable while we were there. The pod itself was immaculate and beautifully decorated and the underfloor heating was also a great luxurious touch. The hot tub is a major bonus and it was a perfect way to relax. If you are looking to get away from the city on a glamping trip in a secluded spot, then I highly recommend!

    Stephanie2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is an absolutely lovely place to stay, a real gem! The pod is beautiful and furnished to a high standard – with lovely little touches too. The view of the farmland is lovely, the surrounding nature is stunning and the hot tub is just so lush! Lisa was very helpful and responded quickly to all the emails. I highly, highly recommend this lovely place. As this is the first review and I’ve hosted and stayed at many Airbnbs I thought I’d write a little bit more to help future guests: The pod - It’s beautiful and the space is used well and furnished to a high standard. The shower pressure is strong and the water hot. The kitchenette has everything you’d need. You can tell a lot of love has been put in it with the little decorations and full of the little touches that really make you feel at home - The bed is very comfy. - We went at the end of summer but the pod has underground floor heating and a great time to come would be the winter to really enjoy a steamy hottub. - The place is very private. The farm is maybe 5 minutes walk away, the next pod is just 50 meters away but you’re surrounded by trees so it is very private. The hot tub is on the other side of the pod so you feel very secluded - There’s a BBQ and porch area, and nice outdoor table. Coal can be bought onsite. Hot tub Really really goooood, very comfortable and lots of fun . Easy to light the fire with the wood that's provided. It’s amazing. Access - I’m a tech geek so I found this cool. But the farm is protected by a gate. You call a number and the gate magically opens. But geeky brownie points aside, it makes it really easy to enter and exit the farm when you like. Thank you Lisa!

The Owl Box is a shepherds hut set within the secluded centre of our organic farmyard. The Owl Box is named after the pair of barn owls that live next door and can sometimes be seen. It is the perfect place to escape into nature, with the luxury of an en-suite shower room and the rustic charm of a real wood burning stove. A lean too shelter houses a fridge, microwave and a hob adjacent to the hut. The organic farm shop is 200 yards and offers coffee, tea, cakes and any provisions you require.
The Owl Box is a comfortable shepherds hut made unique by its location within the heart of a working organic farm.
The Owl Box is located on the edge of the South Downs National Park with its rolling hills and bustling market towns. Local attractions include The Jane Austen museum at Chawton, Gilbert White's House and Garden in Selborne, The Alice Holt Forests, Franham Castle and The Watercress Line runs to Alton. Local Pubs include The Anchor Inn in Froyle, The Star in Bentley and The Hen and Chicken.
  • The place was an amazing little find! We were at a party down the road and needed an overnight stop but wish we could have spent longer there. It literally has everything you need and an outdoor space with a kitchen area. It is beautifully decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable. Lovely and cosy. A great place to escape for some time out. Would recommend and would love to return one day.

  • The Owl Box is lovely. Small of course, but with the lean-to opposite containing table, chairs, microwave, hob and fridge, perfect for self catering; especially when the farm's Organic shop sells everything you could possibly need for a delicious meal. The hut is immaculate and the bed is comfy.

  • I was working at The Royal Surrey County Hospital that week and needed somewhere to stay in the evenings. This was the first time I used Airbnb to find somewhere and was very Happy indeed. Lovely accommodation, hosts were great in answering my questions quickly and looked after me well. It was very peaceful and very comfortable. My only regret was that I wasn't around during the day to explore the area and enjoy the peace a bit more. Thank you very much!

    Jonathan2017-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in The Owl Box for one night as it was close to a friend's wedding. Exceeded our expectations. The place was very clean, well fitted and came with useful provisions for the morning (milk, croissants & fudge) from the Farm shop. Bed was very comfortable and the shower/loo facilities were good. Great host and experience. Many thanks.

    Anthony2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great hut for a few nights if you want to get away from it all. The hut is really clean, and great toilet and shower facilities - high spec finish throughout it all. It's great that there is the outside cooking facility and kitchen; perfect for us on this summer weekend to be cooking outdoors. The organic sausages and bacon we bought were delicious! Thank you also for the hamper - a great treat and welcome to our stay! Would come again, for a weekend getaway and some gentle walks in the surrounding farmland.

Unfortunately we didn't use the tennis court but that is a definite bonus for the place. Well worth what you're paying for and would recommend anyone and everyone to stay! 5 stars!

Bijou, comfortable single room garden cabin ( 1 double bed or twins ) with kitchenette and adjoining ensuite shower and WC, set in the middle of an SSSI within the South Downs National Park and accessed by an unmade bumpy track. Please note this is not a village location though pubs are about a 5 minute drive ( walkable with good footwear and a map ! ) A car or bicycles are favourable although we have accommodated hikers overnight.
Re-built 10 years ago, warm and light. Looks out onto the garden and step out the gate straight into Shortheath Common, a gem within the south downs national park. Shower and WC ensuite. Kitchenette. Breakfast table. The bothy is small but well set out.
Shortheath common is an SSSI and has European SAC designation with rare habitat, plants and insects. It can be accessed directly from the Bothy and keen walkers can get onto the hangers way quite near to the Alton end.
  • We had a very peaceful night's stay in the Bothy - so quiet! Simon and Joss were very friendly and welcoming. It really felt like staying at a family friend's place. Highly recommended.

  • Simon and Jos were perfect hosts and were on hand to give advice and help whenever we needed it. The bothy is fantastic! It is small but contains everything you would ever need for a short stay, Really hidden away in beautiful countryside, the weather was perfect and we really felt like we were holidaying abroad. During our stay we went on a fantastic walk to the local pond and then followed the bridal way for quite a few miles through woodlands and fields seeing several Wild deer. In the evening we walked to the local pub, the red lion, which has a friendly atmosphere and good food. Finally we traveled from London on the train and took a taxi from the station which was all very easy. We would love to return! Excellent 5*!

  • Our hosts Simon and Jos were so welcoming and helpful! The bothy was a gorgeous place to stay and had been perfectly kitted out with everything we needed. Super clean and very charming. Homemade jam and scones on arrival too! The location is really great for walks and escaping into the countryside, but also close enough to Winchester and other towns for the not so sunny days. We really enjoyed our stay, 5* place and great hosts :) Ellie & Thomas

  • "Very enjoyable stay - cottage is as in the images provided and Eliza was extremely friendly and helpful. Feeding the horses from the kitchen window was an unexpected bonus.

  • Beautiful location, great facilities, friendly host!

  • Eliza's place is spotlessly clean and well appointed. Situated outside the village of Bentley it was a great base for exploring the local area and visiting Jane Austen's house. Our party comprised 5 adults - fortunately we've known each other for over 20 years so the fact that the space is quite 'intimate' was not too much of an issue. Do check out the photos as the space is quite compact and some people may not enjoy climbing the ladder to the mezzanine Eliza was very welcoming and gave us advice about the local area - we had a great walk across the fields to a local pub on the Saturday night

Charming double room in central Farnham family home. Nice bathroom but no shower. Fast wifi. Can be upgraded to ensuite room (no extra cost) if free and if requested. 2 mins to station. Close to shops/restaurants. Farnham is a pretty market town with lovely countryside.
Close to station and town centre.. But please remember it's cheaper than a hotel because it's not a hotel!

  • Lovely, quirky house in an ideal location for the station and town. The room was airy, light and clean and although there is no television in the room, there is a good wifi connection so I just used my iPad. Francoise was a chatty, friendly host plus house has a real buzz with the family coming. I would say that if you're looking for a peaceful retreat with zero noise then this may not be for you but for me personally, I loved having life around me and it was far better than any sterile hotel I've stayed in. Thank you Francoise!

The location was perfect, it was quiet but only 10 minutes walk from central Farnham and close to the station. I highly recommend staying here. Thank you Francoise.

This is a very attractive room in a warm and convivial household. With a small private sitting room, a shower/toilet and shared use of a well-appointed kitchen with a wood-burning stove and TV. Parking, wifi, garden and close to all amenities.
It is a charming old cottage set in West Surrey. We are within easy reach of lots of amenities and activities and very well located for London and airports. The bedroom is very comfortable, clean and warm. Guests are welcome to coffee/tea as well as toast and cereals.
Access to beautiful countryside for walking and pub lunches. Farnham is a very attractive town with good restaurants. Aldershot has a good cinema complex and eateries attached. Guildford is great for shopping. Winchester is a must for King Arthur fans. Rivers, lakes, hills, woods, towns, villages, pubs, golf, mountain biking.....

  • Great stay as usual

  • After a long and busy day travelling, it was a dream to finally arrive at Catherine's and relax in an absolutely beautiful setting. The room I stayed in was pristine, lovely and charming and I had a fab night's sleep in this wonderful cottage. Catherine had a cup of tea for me when I arrived and instantly set me at ease - she was extremely welcoming and great to chat with and I felt very at home straightaway. I was only there for the night, but if I am ever in that neck of the woods again I would definitely try and stay for longer as I genuinely loved this air b n b :)
