“The River Cam is the main river flowing through Cambridge in eastern England. After leaving Cambridge, it flows north and east into the Great Ouse to the south of Ely at Pope's Corner. Great for a stroll along the river and to watch the punts and canoe's go by. ”

“A picturesque thatched country pub, The Three Horseshoes, Madingley, is nestled in a quaint, romantic village just 3 miles from Cambridge city centre. Voted Cambridgeshire Dining Pub of the Year for 2018, the restaurant serves hearty, comforting dishes, fresh fish, Sunday roasts and plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans. The Three Horseshoes is part of the Cambcuisine group who own a group of restaurants in Cambridgeshire, with 5 city centre restaurants and 4 traditional country pubs, they are all great places to eat: The MillWorks and Smoke house in Cambridge are especially worth checking out.”

“Lovely little woodland walk. Great Blue-bells! You do walk parallel to the busy Huntingdon road for most of this walk but you can listen to the leaves blowing rather then the traffic. See if you can spot their black squirrels! Go to the entrance on Girton Road and start by turning left. Part of this trail is actually along Huntingdon Road for 300 yds or so but then you turn right again and follow the tarmac track back in and around the rest of the grounds. Please note they close the gates when its windy and you are not allowed in. ”

“Looks like a traditional English pub (and half of it is) the other half is a surprisingly-authentic Thai restaurant with amazing decor,”

“We a re not great at "night - life" but we do enjoy a little walk to Hotel Felix round the corner for one of their bar meals... Lovely gardens and views. Relaxing. Snug in Winter out on deck in summer. ”

“I recommend this for the incredible hand-made iron (?) sculpture in front of the Church. It is in honour and celebration of the Girton Geese whose feathers supplied the much-needed quills for the university. Incredible work of art. 20/25 minute walk heading further into Girton. Just as beautiful at night as its lit up.”

“In Eddington. This is a twenty minute walk away. Bigger and so more choice than Co-op in Girton. ”
