They also have a gallery and host exhibits featuring many different artists, so a visit here goes beyond just the works of Mark Twain. It's also directly next to the home of Harriet Beecher Stowe, so you can visit both with one stop.”

Park
“The base of the hike is about 1.25 miles from the tower. The hike is a bit strenuous for the first half mile, but then levels off with beautiful views from the top of Talcott Mountain. There is a museum at the tower. Unfortunately, there is no car access all the way to the tower, so you do have to hike it, but the views at the top are certainly worth it.”

“Beautiful park on the north end. There is a restaurant on the pond called The Pond House that serves great food and has lovely views of the park and pond. From spring through autumn, there are lovely gardens featuring a variety of flowers. They are known for their rose gardens, which are stunning when in bloom. In summer, they have concerts in the park.”
