“Thai -- I have relied on their soup for comfort since before I moved here. I especially love the curry chicken soup. I'm a creature of habit so you'll have to consult the menu for more adventure! ”

“This is the Inn's fancier restaurant, but we like to go here for lunch because the prices are comparable to any other place in town and the menu, service and ambiance are wonderful! Make sure to visit the game room of the Inn downstairs (past the gift shop, beneath the Tavern (which we also love). You can also order a cocktail from the bar in the evening and enjoy it in the game room! Or in front of the roaring fire in the lobby in the Winter. This is our favorite date place.”

“When you take the necessary trip to quaint Woodstock, pop into Mount Vert. Great coffee, yummy pastries, delish breakfast and lunch. A perfect break before you head into Yankee Books, up Mount Tom, or to the Woodstock Inn Spa for a massage!”

Coffee Shop
“only open Saturdays and Sundays, 9am to 2pm and a bit hidden from the main road but worth a visit for their single origin coffees, as well as rotating food trucks -- next door is a newly opened park right on the river”

“Going early in the morning is nice. Say "hi" to the owners Shannon (up front) and Vicki (in the kitchen) and told them Travis told you to come by. I love "The Local" which is a wonderful breakfast sandwich.”

“George and Linda offer the very best meats, a curated wine selection and wonderful sandwiches. The holidays wouldn't be right without a prime rib from the Village Butcher”
