“ La Paz (Spanish: "the peace") is a waterfall in central Costa Rica. In Spanish, it is known as Catarata de La Paz. It is 31 kilometres (19 mi) north of Alajuela, between Vara Blanca and Cinchona. The waterfall is located immediately alongside the road from Alajuela that leads to the northern plains of Costa Rica. The River La Paz forms the waterfall after traversing 8 kilometres (5 mi) of volcanic terrain, and then continues through the rainforest of the eastern side of Poás Volcano. A short path leads behind the waterfall, where a small shrine had been located. Upstream from the waterfall is La Paz Waterfall Gardens, a hotel and park, where visitors can observe many different species.”

“Hiking Experience! For Hiking Lovers, we will take you to a park that takes you to a park that provides a variety of trails to immerse yourself in nature. Some of them lead to the amazing Barva Volcano Lagoons. Day trip to Barva Volcano is a prime option for anyone looking for a somewhat challenging hike in a tranquil setting away from the crowds. Barva, the overlooked middle child that lays between Poás and Irazú in Braulio Carrillo National Park, is almost exclusively trekked by Costa Ricans, not tourists. ”

Park
“This tropical rainforest boasts an unbelievable array of flora and fauna, accompanied by towering waterfalls and mountainous vegetation. Founded in 1978 in efforts to save some of the region that was being replaced by the Guapiles Highway, Braulio Carrillo is actually one of the most easily accessible parks in Costa Rica. The park features several dormant volcanoes and protected regions of the Sarapiqui River. This biodiversity lends to the abundance of species that populate the park.”

“Rappeling (Canyoning) down the waterfalls with our highly recommended guide, close to the Turrialba volcano so some of the waterfalls are naturally warmed! An amazing experience. This tour is an intermediate level, as the hike up is also already quite adventurous. There are however easier rappeling tours in Sitio Mata that we also recommend. Also suitable for children. Lunch is included with both tours. ”
