Hethe Holiday Rentals

Just booked in Hethe

Set in a picturesque, Oxfordshire village, our luxurious garden annexe, with large en-suite bathroom and Super Kingsize bed, is a true haven in Hethe. Feast on fabulous food & wine, just across the road, at Gastro pub 'The Muddy Duck'. Great shopping is available, just 4 miles away, at the world famous 'Bicester Village Outlet'. While, Bicester North and Bicester Village train stations, will whizz you to and from London, within the hour. We look forward to meeting you soon! See photos...
All furnishings and products used in our annexe are of exceptional quality, with lots of little luxuries you would find, in a stylish and unique, boutique hotel. With its own private entrance, it gives our guests the perfect amount of privacy to come and go as they please. Please note that there are some low beams and a slanting ceiling in the annexe. (please refer to photos )
Hethe is a typically quaint English village with plenty of beautiful walks. To be woken up to the sound of birds singing and horses hooves trotting past is one of the reasons we moved here. We are very fortunate that in our pretty little village we boast one of Oxfordshire's finest gastro pubs, serving fabulous freshly prepared gourmet food. In summer months, food can be eaten in the gardens or on the beautiful terrace. Though only a stones throw from our house, noise is rarely an issue. Hethe is ideally located, with easy access to J9 or J10 of the M40. A 15 minute drive away from Silverstone race track, 4 miles to the infamous 'Bicester Village Outlet" retail park and an easy drive to some of England's most fantastic National Trust houses and gardens.
  • Everything about the Dozing Duck was as advertised. Jayne was the consummate host in every way imaginable. From the first greeting online to our first meeting in person, she made my wife & I feel comfortable and welcome. We had some of the best sleep in years which was partly our goal in getting away from the fray. Might have been helped along with the delicious food and ale provided by the Muddy Duck ~ Across the road. Can't say enough good things about this nest away from home and very much look forward to coming back again.

  • WOW!!! what a lovely stay we had, Jayne was a great host 7 very welcoming and accommodating. The apartment was luxurious and it was obvious allot of detail had gone into the little things, like the amazing French Jams that were on offer for Breakfast. The Gastro Pub "The Muddy Duck" opposite (which was fab, try the rolled Pork Belly ;-) ) made the stay even more enjoyable and relaxing. I will be recommending a visit to Hethe (a beautiful little English village) and Jayne's place to many people. Andrew & Leah.

  • Our trip to the Dozing Duck was truly unforgettable. It was the first getaway that the two of us had together and it was perfect through and through. We loved every little bit of attention to detail, from the bottled water in the fridge to the L'Occitane shower gel, the delicious coffee maker and the outstandingly comfortable bed. It was like sleeping on a cloud in a little piece of heaven. Jayne was the most fabulous of hosts; she was kind and accommodating and could not have done more for us - the fresh continental breakfast alone at the time of our choice was just a small example of how much of an incredible host she is! The place is idyllic and we had an amazing dinner at the recommended Muddy Duck that equally could not be criticised. There may be wifi in the Dozing Duck but the village has no phone signal - something in our opinion that contributed to us being able to get away from everything and spend some real quality time with each other. Combined with the beauty of the surroundings and the breathtaking accommodation, everything was perfect. Thank you so much Jayne, I really hope we get to see you again in the future.

  • We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Dozing Duck. The annexe itself is perfect. We felt like we were staying at a lovely boutique hotel. Jayne was incredibly welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed. Breakfast was generous in size and the pastries were delicious. With the pub just across the street, it was an ideal location for enjoying a little bit of tranquillity after a fantastic meal by the fireside in the pub. Couldn't rate our stay any higher!

  • We spent a lovely evening at the Dozing Duck on the way to visit the Bletchley park exhibition; Janye welcomed us and showed us the lovely facilities then left us to our own devices for the evening. We had a fabulous meal across the road at the Muddy Duck then retired early so we could get a fresh start in the morning. The breakfast was served piping hot and Jayne even went out of her way to cater for my food intolerances.

    Antony2016-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Tucked away , a really little gem with a great pub across the road

    Jane2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Jayne is a fabulous host. Her cottage is the epitome of romantic English country living. Light breakfast is delicious, but do take her recommendation to visit The Muddy Duck across the street for lunch and dinner. Beautifully decorated and swift check in and out. This is a must stay.

    Marcia2016-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at the Dozing Duck with my wife and 7 month old and had a great time. It's incredibly private and cosy. The decor is to the highest standard and Jayne clearly takes pride in making guests comfortable. The breakfast was superb. If you're looking forward to a romantic getaway this is absolutely perfect. I have recommended it to all my friends and family.

  • A lovely place to stay, and very reasonably priced. Isobel is a great host, communication was extremely quick, and she even left a welcome package of food etc. Really lovely accommodation that gets sun through the windows all day long. Great walking nearby, and a friendly cat! What more could you want? Thoroughly recommended.

    Simon2017-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful secluded pool house. Loved the peace and quiet and the addition of watching the horses meandering in the field right next to you! I only stayed one night so didn't get to enjoy the outside dining area which is set under a very pretty pergola. Had a lovely welcome from Isobel and also plenty of provisions in the fridge!

    Tracey2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Isobel is an excellent host...responded to my urgent booking enquiry in 7 minutes!!. 2 night business stay. Car essential. Great space...very good sized area overlooking private hedge screened pool area and country side (inquisitive horses!) with very large shower room. Large sofa bed, which was very comfortable...but if you are very fussy about mattresses or difficult sleeper maybe not for you. Only used at night, but if staying for leisure, then out door covered seating area will be great to use. Good kitchen (URL HIDDEN) microwave, just be aware if required. Good WIFI. Will definately return when back in area.

    Chris2016-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Brilliant stay again. Love this place, so relaxing preparing for a week working in London. Thanks Isobel!

    Lewis2017-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Isobel was very helpful and meeted me when I got there. Lovely pool house clean and tidy. Will definitely recommend people to stay there and also stay there again myself.

    Reece2017-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was perfect form start to finish, Isobel is such a friendly and helpful person it added to the beautiful experience. The pool house is amazing and comfortable even better as Isobel already had tea, coffee, milk and breakfast ready and waiting for me. The location is perfect for visiting a large choice of attractions which are around. I will most definitely be back again for a longer stay. Thanks

  • Lovely, spacious and comfortable home. John and Phip's directions were easy to follow. The local pub couldn't feed us (large pre-booked party) so we went to The Muddy Duck about a five mile drive away. Their food was delicious, so we were pleased we hadn't been able to eat The Red Lion! A super Airbnb which we'll certainly recommend to other's visiting the area.

    Gabriella2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice house in peaceful location yet very convenience to travel around! For sure will go back one day! ;)

  • Just returned after a great 3 night stay at John's cottage with my partner and another couple with their dog. We all loved the cottage and the way it was decorated, it also was much bigger than we thought from the photos. The house is situated in a very nice quiet village, within walking distance (3-4mins) to the local pub, which is always a good thing. There are also nearby walks to do to. Had a great stay here and would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

    Will2016-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely property in a beautiful village. The decor and facilities are outstanding throughout and had lots of room for 4 adults, 2 children and a dog. We had a great stay and look forward to finding an excuse to come back again.

    Simon2016-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house in a gorgeous location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house. Everything we needed was in the house and was all clean and tidy. John was very helpful when we were arriving at the house and even took in the shopping we'd had delivered to the house because we hadn't made it there in time. Great communication. Was a good base for visiting Warwick Castle, Oxford, Stonehenge, Harry Potter Tour and London. Would definitely recommend staying here to others. Thank you again to you both.

  • Fantastic place - will hopefully stay again on next visit (hopefull that it's available that is)

  • The cosy mews house was a beautiful place to stay. John was a fabulous host, he had a Easter egg and bottle of wine ready for us when we arrived. The house itself is spacious, charming and very well decorated. It looks great both inside and out. Relaxing by the fire with a glass of wine is a great way to spend an evening after exploring the Cotswolds. Would definitely recommend it.

Our RV is situated at the end of nowhere to go, just off the M40 close to the A43 you can have a lovely relaxing time with all your own facilities, BBQ area, table & chairs. On the edge of the Cotswolds away from the busy roads, it's a little Oasis of luxury. 3 country public houses not far if you don't fancy cooking. It's easy to get to, it's a great area for cyclists to explore the lush countryside, with Bicester Village not far for the shoppers. It's a lovely part of the country for all to see.
Bicester Village Designer Shopping Outlet, on the edge of the Cotswolds, close to the M40 & access not far to the M1. Oxford city 20mins down the road, about an hour to London but Bicester North train station 10 mins away to all major city's. Lots of lovely villages close with lovely desirable pubs that do great local food. Not far from Silverstone race track, very close to the lovely market town Brackley.
We really are in the middle of beautiful countryside lovely walks, but not far from civilisation.
  • Located at the end of a country lane, with its own small piece of garden, this is paradoxically both just of the m40 and in the middle of nowhere. Jax and Kevin couldn't have been more helpful (even offering to book us a table at a local pub when we were delayed arriving), perfect blend of there if you need them and unobtrusive, and the puppy hugs were definitely a highlight! Milk, bread and croissants on arrival was a lovely touch, comfy bed and seating area and just an excellent base to explore the area. Would recommend/return without hesitation!!! Perfect short stay away!

Kev and Jax woke up in the middle of the night to see us into the Rv and they were very welcoming. They are situation in the country with beautiful surroundings. The Mobile home is easy to find with the provided post code. We had complimentary tea, coffee and croissants provided which was nice for the morning. I highly recommend this very interesting air bnb, it's different and really worth a visit. Thanks Kev and Jax.

  • Sally-Anne is a great host sharing her very welcoming place. She will do everything to make you feel at home. Her cooked breakfast is not to be missed, and when we returned in the afternoons we were always offered tea and cake. The house has got a big garden with an equally relaxing atmosphere as the entire, very picturesque, village.

    Andreas2016-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a quiet place, in a lovely village, with a warm welcome, cooked breakfast and a comfy bed, you will not be disappointed with Sally-Anne's place. A character property.

    Christopher2017-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful building in a lovely part of Oxfordshire. Very tranquil. Sally-Anne is an excellent host; very welcoming. I was staying in the area for business and it was good to come back to such peaceful countryside at the end of each day. I liked the surroundings and the accommodation space, as I was offered the use of the drawing room as well as the bedroom. The bathroom adjacent was exceptionally clean, with a good powerful shower fitted over the bath. Although there are tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms, I was offered tea/coffee personally on my return from work and I thought that was a lovely personal touch. Great breakfast to set me up for each day ahead too! Sally-Anne is certainly a host who ensures the comfort of her guests is at the top of her priority list, and I would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation to others.

Lovely big apartment with a large kitchen diner downstairs. Upstairs, an open-plan sitting room with 2 good size bedrooms (1 dbl, 1 twin) & bathroom. Superb views over fields and stables: horses, donkeys and chickens wander past the door. Very well equipped kitchen. Walking distance to pub. Lots to do in the area. Idyllic & peaceful! NO SMOKING! The flat is for 4, but occasionally, bedding can be provided for the single sofa bed ONLY by prior arrangement - PLEASE ENQUIRE before booking!
You'll find a well equipped kitchen in Shaker style, with a nice big table. We provide tea, coffee, & cereal, and also on your first night there will be fresh milk, bread or croissants, orange juice, butter and marmalade. After that, you can make your own breakfast choices! And if previous guests have left some basics in the kitchen, we leave them there for the next visitors - so you will also find oil, salt, pepper etc. If the hens are laying, you'll also find some fresh eggs! The apartment has had a face lift lately with some new carpeting and decorating. Access to the flat is from the stable yard. There is quite a lot of coming and going in the yard, the horses are exercised daily and there is almost always someone about, and we have friendly dogs, donkeys and chickens too. Obviously, it is not suitable for anyone with an allergy to horses or dogs. And please - don't try and get friendly with the horses - they are fabulous to look at and that's the way they should stay! Upstairs there is a big flat screen television in the spacious, open-plan sitting room, and two sofa beds. In emergency, these can be used but please, ask us first if you want extra guests. It's a lot of extra laundry and work, and we will have to charge you more for the apartment. If you do book for more than 4 people without asking first, we will sadly have to cancel your booking. This is because it is not always convenient to take more than 4 people.
Our beautiful Oxfordshire stone village is a busy one with lots of young families growing up here. Friends pop in regularly, and it's a pleasantly close community. Going for a wander in the village is very rewarding - the thatched pub and the gorgeous church are the focal points, but our stone houses are beautiful too. And it's only about seven minutes drive to Bicester North, and twelve minutes drive into the centre of Bicester. Bicester Village is a huge attraction on the other side of town with the best discount shops around. Blenheim Palace, Bletchley Park and Waddesdon are not far, and there's a lot to do in the area. And you can get to Oxford very easily. Our local pub, the Red Lion, is very reliable for food - Steak Night is very popular on Wednesdays, but please note that it does not serve food on Sunday evening, the same with most of the other pubs in the area. There's an excellent small co-op which stays open till 10 every night - although limited, the food is fresh and you can stock up there quite easily.
  • Unfortunately, there was some confusion on arrival, no mention of keys so naturally we knocked at the main house. No answer, but after a few calls were told the keys were in the door to the flat (not so obvious if you're coming from a city where you wouldn't dream of leaving your keys in the door)!! D was very pro-active and helpful before our trip however a quick mention of where to find keys would have saved a little headache. That said, the flat is very spacious and as depicted. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bedding is lovely, warm and cosy and there's plenty of wardrobe/drawers storage if you're staying longer than a weekend. Shower is nice and powerful, (though prone to overflow if you're not quick and watchful!). It was nice to gaze out over open fields and watch the hens and the horses in the paddock. Do take wellies along as it can get very waterlogged and muddy accessing the flat.

  • What can we say...what a lovely stay we had...everything was perfect and our hosts most caring and accommodating. We had a lovely Sunday lunch at the local pub and were able to cook our other meals in the wonderful farmhouse kitchen, very easily...helping us to stay within our budget. We enjoyed a walk around D's beautiful garden and very much enjoyed perusing the many garden magazines available. The beds were so comfortable...perfect for rest and recuperation after a VERY long day in Oxford. Thank you so much D and J...it would be wonderful to think we might be this way again...We would definitely hope we could stay again.

  • Spacious is the correct word to use for this beautiful flat in a stable. Ground floor is the kitchen / dining area with the living and bed rooms upstairs. Well stocked with the necessary utensils if you want to eat in. Shower water pressure is strong with a constant flow of hot water. Nice to see the race horses in the stables and also galloping in the fields. The flat is comfortable, quiet, peaceful and clean. You would need to have a car to get around. The flat is close to the Bicester Village and Oxford. Good place to use as a base to explore the area.

  • Stratton Audley is a beautiful village and the cottage overlooks some lush green meadows. We loved watching the horses everyday and it added to the overall experience. The local pub is wonderful and we soon felt like part of the village. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The cottage is just as described and we were welcomed by fresh farm eggs and some basics to get us going. It is very well appointed with washing machine and dishwasher which makes it perfect for longer stays. Bicester is just a few miles away so you get the best of both worlds by living in a quiet village but having access to all the major stores.

Your comfortable kingsized double room is located in an old stone farmhouse in Stratton Audley. We have a large private drive to accommodate cars and we are also biker friendly! We are 6 minutes from Bicester town and Bicester Village by car. The room can accommodate a couple. It has a large comfortable king size bed and a private bathroom for sole use. We provide tea and coffee making facilities and a light self serve breakfast which can be taken in your room. There is wifi available.
Please note that there are photos of 2 different bedrooms shown as we alternate between using them both. Only one is ever used at a time to ensure that our guests have private use of the bathroom. They both offer the same facilities. A light self service breakfast is included, which guests can take in their rooms. However if a full English breakfast is required this can be offered at £10 a person and will be served in the conservatory overlooking the garden. Should you be travelling with friends and are happy to share the bathroom the second bedroom is available at a charge of £40 per night for the second room. This works brilliantly if you are attending a local event/wedding with friends.
The village of Stratton Audley is small and picturesque. It has a church and a pub called the Red Lion serving food. It is only a 6 minute drive from the center of Bicester, and to both the train stations which can take you to either London in one direction or Birmingham in the other. It is too far to walk to from Bicester village unless you are a very keen walker ! There are also frequent trains to Oxford as well as buses from the centre of Bicester to Oxford and Milton Keynes and many other destinations There are many lovely walks in the area including the Cross Bucks Way which passes through the village. Bicester and the surrounding villages offer a great choice of restaurants and Oxford of course has a wealth of restaurants. We are also close to many tourist attractions including Oxford the Cotswolds and to Stratford on Avon . There are many national trust properties within an hours drive. We are very centrally placed for visiting many parts of the country and are close to several airports for those wanting a stop off on the way to catch a plane.
  • Very friendly couples with a great place. Spent a so lovely night, will be very happy to visit again.

  • Amanda and Darren were fantastic and very hospitable. They took an interest in why we were travelling to the area so that they could provide advise on local sights and attractions and to make sure that the house was set up to our requirements. They were also very communicative, responding to any messages within minutes. The house was fantastic. In a very picturesque and relaxing setting, the house was well appointed, and very very comfortable. Breakfast provisions were provided as well as some snacks and these went down very well in making us feel welcome. Will definitely book again, if they’ll have us.

  • We were booked in for a one night stay at the apartment. Unfortunately we weren't able to stay as the' double booked inexplicably. I was over somewhere else the other side of Oxford which I accepted because otherwise we wouldn't have anywhere else to stay. I was told that we would have a bottle of Prosecco for the inconvenience. Unfortunately we weren't left any, so felt let down on counts.

Bowen-Buscarlet is one of 4 beautifully appointed Crew Rooms for overnight use by visitors to the historic former RAF site. Expect a gentlemen’s club feel with hints of Art Deco & nods to the site’s prolific RAF heritage. 2 night minimum stay.
Bowen-Buscarlet is the largest of the four Crew Rooms, this suite has its own entrance off the Western Avenue, opposite the Parachute Store. With an open plan kitchen, dining room and sitting room, Bowen-Buscarlet has plenty of cooking equipment, a cooker, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. The double bedroom and ensuite shower room both open in to the main living area, which is lit from the roof by a magnificent skylight lantern during the day and hidden uplighting at night. This suite has a connecting door to the Rotheram suite. Located to the rear of Building 82 – The Power House, the Crew Rooms are nestled in what used to be the power generation and pump house, distributing water and electricity around the former RAF Bicester WW2 bomber training station. Each room is named after a distinguished RAF Station Commander dating back from 1939. Full details can be found on the Bicester Heritage website - Accommodation page.
Bicester Heritage is 2 miles from Bicester Village, the Designer Outlet Shopping Centre, open 7 days a week. Oxford City Centre is 14 miles away where The Ashmolean has become widely recognised as “the most exciting new museum anywhere in Britain”. Blenheim Palace is home to the 11th Duke and Duchess of Marlborough and birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, only 13 miles from Bicester Heritage.
  • Stayed in the Bowen-Buscarlet room for two nights. The apartment was lovely and spacious, warm and clean. The attention to detail was outstanding, with lots of classic car magazines and car related pictures. We drove our 1968 Riley Kestrel to attend the Sunday Scramble and had a great weekend. It was certainly different waking up on Sunday morning to watch all the various classic cars arriving on our doorstep. If you want to step back in time, then this is the place.

  • Great place to stay, well worth it if you're looking around this area. Tiggy was great, she met us on arrival and showed us around and when we had an issue she solved it straightaway.

    Joshua 2016-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • It was an exclusive experience staying at this property managed by Bicester Heritage. Located in an old airfield base, it is rich in history but the property is modern, clean and comfortable. It does get a little quiet over the weekends if there are no events on the grounds. Nonetheless, it is very secure and you'll feel like you're in a private airfield. We based ourselves here while exploring Bicester Village, Bletchley Park, Oxford and Blenheim Palace. It would be a bonus if you are a fan of antique cars as Bicester Heritage is now set up as a niche centre for that. Great accommodation and we'll certainly use them again if we come that way.

  • Stunning apartment, immaculately clean, on a very interesting site. Fabulous communication from Tiggy. Lovely and quite. Would certainly chose to stay here again.

    Diane2016-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Before arrival Tiggy presented a very comprehensive welcome guide and very quickly replied with my queries relating to local amenities. While I don't drive (yet), Bicester Heritage is very easy to get to (£6 taxi ride from Bicester Town train station - but I believe there are also buses that run that way too). Access in and out of the estate is straight forward with provided remote for controlling the gate and barrier. The Bowen-Buscarlet room itself was absolutely perfect. The fully equipped kitchen is excellent. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and plenty of towels are provided. The high ceiling in the living room is hugely impressive, and even with the curtains closed in the morning, the skylight windows above lets in plenty of natural light. I'm likely to make many more trips to Bicester in the near future, and would not hesitate to stay in any of the Crew Rooms again. The staff (both estate and security) are very friendly, and the estate itself is just incredible. Vintage motor cars everywhere. As I work right next door to the Top Gear test track and production office/studio where I live, it felt as if I was "at home". The Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond books in the room was a nice touch (it amused me a great deal). It's worth noting that Wi-Fi is a little patchy, but the room/area has very good 4G reception (I measured 45Mbs downstream, 12 Mbs upstream on my Three mobile). I believe Wi-Fi is something that's being worked on. For me, this wasn't important or essential.

  • We had an amazing week at Lizzie and Geoff's farm. We felt welcomed from the moment we meet our hosts. Lizzie gave us a basket of delicious treats and a beautiful vase of flowers for us to enjoy. The cottage was spotless and quiet and the bed was super comfy! The kitchen had everything we needed and we enjoyed coming "home" to the cottage each day. Grocery, restaurants and shops were just a few minutes away. We used the farm as a base for sightseeing the countryside and Oxford and found endless villages and footpaths to explore. We loved learning about the sheep and meeting Minnie, the sheep dog, and had fun walking around the farm. It was hard to leave, and would love to go back. We felt like we were staying with old friends!

    Diana & Larry2014-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Liz was a very helpful, welcoming and approachable host, making us feel comfortable and at home. The property is as described, most importantly it was clean, well equipped and well located. We were concerned that because the house is fairly close to a motorway that we would hear traffic noise but this was not the case at all, we had very peaceful and quiet sleep. Thanks again Lizzy and Geoff for opening your 'home-farm' to us, we hope to see you again soon!

    Amana2014-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Really lovely cottage with fantastic views of the countryside and in walking distance to local pubs for dinner! Liz was the perfect hostess and made our stay, which were also our final days in the UK, a pleasure. Thanks!

Double room close to Bicester Village Shopping, public transport to Oxford, London and Birmingham and a 5 minute drive to the M40. Close to the countryside, you’ll love my place because of the light room, comfy bed, and the warm welcome. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers.
Our house is warm and cosy with a lovely garden to relax in during the summer. It's ideally located for all the local amenities and you will always receive a warm welcome.
Our neighbours are extremely friendly, and the close is very quiet. There is a parking space available should you want to use it and on street parking too. There is a local shopping centre just a 2 minute walk through the park which has a mini Tesco, Chinese and Indian takeaway. In a different direction, 5 minutes walk you have a local pub and further shops. The town centre is a 15 minute walk away. We are ideally situated for Bicester North train station and close to Bicester Village Shopping.

  • This little flat was the perfect location for us, a short walk to our family's home, and a short walk to a bus stop. Janaina was wonderful to chat with when we booked her flat three months ahead of our trip, and kept in touch till we arrived. She checked in on us mid-week, and we had a laugh about about no coffee pot. She was delightful in every way. Everything was super clean, we had fluffy towels, extra bedding, empty refrigerator shelves, and closet space available for us to use. If we need to find a place while visiting family there again, I will be back in touch with her.

    Grade II Listed Apartment
    19 reviews
A Grade II listed two bedroom cottage in the village of Evenley, Brackley that overlooks the village green. A fully equipped kitchen and a log burner for those cosy nights in. All utilities, bedding, and towels are included.
Why pay hotel prices when you can have sole use of our cottage for the same, or sometimes cheaper price!
The cottage is located in a quiet picturesque village, with a village shop on the doorstop for those essentials, and a pub selling a variety of ales and serving good food.
  • Kath is a gracious hostess, very helpful and thoughtful. She even helped me move in when my husband had to make a trip to London on the Saturday. The house is tastefully decorated, but comfortable and very well situated in the village. We know Evenley, so were delighted to be on the Green where we could be part of the local 'scene' (a cricket match on Saturday, kids' cricket on Sunday, joggers regularly, mothers and toddlers midweek, old boys on the benches, a walk around the Green and good meals at the local pub, etc.). We highly recommend the Cottage.

    Diana2015-07-24T00:00:00Z

  • Kath was there to welcome us at this gorgeous little cottage on the Green, and had even stocked up the fridge for our arrival! This place was so perfect for our weekend away, and I imagine in Winter it's extremely cosy with its little wood-burner! Just a short walk from the beautiful Evenley Wood Garden (which we were visiting for a wedding), I can't recommend this property highly enough as a wonderful base for a great weekend out of town.

    Joanna2015-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage in a pretty village. Great base to explore the local area. Cottage had everything we needed, was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. The garden is a sun trap so it was great to be able to make the most of the warm weather with breakfast outside. Nice thoughtful additions with milk and bread to get us started. Would definitely recommend a stay to anyone looking to visit the area. The village pub is also excellent and we ate there on the three nights we stayed.

Kath was there to meet us and show us around the lovely cottage which has all you need and more. We enjoyed a meal in the village pub on our first night, had breakfast in the garden the following morning and enjoyed a great meal at the Crewe Arms in Hinton-in-the Hedges the following evening. The village shop was very handed for early morning papers and everyone we met in the short time we were in the village could not have been more welcoming. We loved the area - so much to see - we will be planning a return visit for later in the year. My husband has decided that this is almost heaven and what a great place to retire too! Thank you so much Kath from Jill and Paul (a couple in their early sixties) and Peggy ( a lady in her mid 80s)!!

  • Thank you for Toddy .She provides a comfortable , clean room for us three (a double bed and a single bed), the whole house is beautifuland and a credit to the hosts, we can enjoy the nice countryside view on the morning. We love it. She offer English breakfast for us all. The food was lovely and a great way to start the day off.The location can easy to find(you can take Uber) if you're looking for somewhere quiet to relax. I couldn't recommend them highly enough and would certainly return ... hopefully next time see Toddy!

  • We were looking for somewhere to stay near Silverstone for a weekend meeting there. It was a bit last minute but thankfully Toddy managed to find room for us. The location was lovely ... down a quiet country lane, but still only 20 minutes drive to the circuit. There is a village about 5 minutes drive away with a pub that serves food & a small supermarket for the essentials. The bedroom was was large enough for the three of us (with a double bed and a futon) and was very clean. The bathroom was also very clean and with a very invigorating shower. The whole house beautifully presented and a credit to the hosts. We needed to leave fairly early in the mornings to get to the track whilst the roads were quiet and Toddy was kind enough to cook (a little earlier than usual I suspect) a full English breakfast for us all. The food was lovely and a great way to start the day off. The hosts themselves were lovely and couldn't do enough for us (my daughter left behind a little love heart cushion, but Toddy found it and mailed it back to us), and the location is ideal if you're looking for somewhere quiet to relax. I couldn't recommend them highly enough and would certainly return ... hopefully next year

  • We recently stayed overnight with Mike and B who gave us a lovely warm welcome from after our drive from Manchester. B brought us tea and biscuits as a nightcap and we slept like babes in the large comfortable room! Breakfast was delicious with fresh ingredients, and we enjoyed chatting with our hosts before setting off on our journey. Mike and B were warm and helpful, and Phil and I would have no hesitation in recommending a stay with them.

Jan was a great host with suggestions of what to do in the area and kindly lending some toys. The barn was really well stocked with breakfast and was very comfortable. Great pub on the corner, good parking and the most friendly and hospitable hosts you could meet. Thank you both for making our last days in the U.K. Extra special

Romantic cosy country cottage, complete with wood burner and old beams, but also close to local ameneties including the village shop, a traditional pub, and lots of local walks and activities (including motor racing, shopping and horse riding).
** Minimum 5 night stay over the Christmas and New Year period** The cottage is a small but perfectly formed cottage on the edge of the Cotswolds. For those who love the outdoors there are miles and miles of walks straight from the front door. The cottage is decorated in a traditional english design, with beamed ceilings, and wood burning stove in the living room. There are two bedrooms: both with double beds. They share the family bathroom with a bath and power shower. There is also a TV, as well as free wifi. Out the back of the cottage is a private garden which backs on to open fields. The garden includes a table and chairs and a BBQ area, should the weather be nice. There is also a large herb patch for you to use if you decide to cook. There are several fantastic local pubs in the area - the local Blackbird Inn is a short walk away and serves delicious food and local ales. Further afield is the Fox at Souldern, which is a lovely country walk or a short drive away
Juniper Cottage is located in the heart of Croughton, which is a small and historic village. The local Co-operative has a good food and drink range, and there are large supermarkets locally in the town of Brackley.

  • We had an absolutely lovely girly weekend away here, the house is lovely and brilliantly close to amenities. Farrah was a lovely host, very accommodating whilst also leaving us to enjoy our stay. Would defiantly go there again!

    Katie2016-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Farrah's place. The cottage is beautiful and very comfortable. It has a lot of light, especially in the main bedroom and kitchen. The beds are comfy and the shower has good pressure. The kitchen is well equipped, and the living room is very cosy. There's plenty of parking for two cars. Farrah was very attentive and responsive to our emails. Very recommended!

  • The listing was accurate and the shop opposit was very useful . We were very happy with the cottage very homely.

    Denise2016-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely time staying at the cottage, Farrah was great with communicating with us when needed. Would recommend staying at this cottage if you want to explore the area or on business for a few days. It's location to the main roads is a great benefit for getting about.

    Alastair2017-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • We were visiting relatives in Banbury and struggling to find accommodation for our family of 5. We booked Farrah's place due to the the proximity to Banbury, and the size of the place. From the outset, Farrah made us feel welcome and the place itself is a really charming cottage. Farrah ensured the place was nice and warm on a cold winters night and on our second night we made use of the fire for additional warmth. The cottage was clean and had character. Also, having a co-op right across the road was very useful

    sean2016-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really lovely stay at Juniper Cottage. Everything that we needed was right at our fingertips and the location was ideal to travel around and explore the area. The bed was super comfy! Thank you for making our stay very chilled.

    EMMA2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely cottage, with an awesome log burner. It has a co op shop on the opposite side of the road which is open till 10pm & sticks everything you would need. We did a walk from (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps, just put short walk in search, it only took about an hour & was quite an adventure. The closest pub is quite old fashioned but staff friendly & good fish n chips, just don't ask for the wine list! The fox inn & the pub recommended in soulden were much better, well worth a visit. I had the back bedroom & struggled to get up as the bed & duvet were so comfy. Can definitely recommend this cottage.

This is a large top floor double bedroom with en suite WC and exclusive use of a full first floor bathroom. This house is in a great location with excellent road links to the M40 and A34 as well as a large number of surrounding towns and villages. Both Bicester North and Bicester Village train stations as well as the town centre are within easy walking distance. We will provide fresh towels and bedding and there is driveway parking available.
This room is within a lovely large Victorian property. Guests will be able to enjoy their privacy as the room is on the top floor of the property, which is not used by the residents. The room has an en suite WC and sink and you will also have exclusive use of a full bathroom on the first floor, with toilet, sink, shower and bath.
Bicester town centre is only a 10 minute walk away, and has a large number of restaurants and pubs. The house is on a main road, which is great for transport links and getting around, but is also far enough away from the town centre to be quiet. The bedroom faces out the back of the house, away from the road and gives you lovely roof-top views.
  • We were made very welcome when we arrived. The room is larger than it looks as others have said. It also has a TV and an ensuite sink and toilet. We had a comfortable nights sleep and the neighbourhood seemed fairly quiet. It was really nice to have sole use of a bathroom on the floor below. We also enjoyed a very good meal at a local pub which was recommended. The house is convenient to Bicester shopping village and has a space for a car in the drive. We would definitely recommend it.
