Just booked in Hidcote

A lovely cottage situated in a tranquil Cotswold hamlet just 2.5 miles north of Chipping Campden. The location offers great access to both the Cotswolds (Stow, Bourton, Bibury, Cirencester, Cheltenham and Gloucester) to the south and to Shakespeare Country.
The cottage accommodates 4 people in two double bedrooms. The price you see is for 4 people renting the cottage. If your party is of fewer people, please check the other listing for the same cottage. Baldwins has a brand new king-size bed with a soft 'hotel-style' mattress and Meadows offers two single beds, which can link to form a double bed. Both rooms with big windows facing south and the front garden. Downstairs you will find a sitting room with a wood burner (a log basket filled free for your first fire), a dining room and a well –equipped kitchen comprising fridge, hob and oven, microwave and dishwasher. There are two bathrooms each with a toilet, one upstairs and one downstairs. The upstairs bathroom has just been renovated and offers a large walk in shower. To the rear of the cottage is a private walled garden with a large patio area. Free parking is also available adjacent to the property. On arrival guests will find full instructions about the house, suggested trips, restaurant recommendations, details of wi-fi connection and a Welcome basket with products from our garden (depending on the season). Your hosts live next door and although we work we are usually available if you need anything during your stay. Bed linen and towels are provided.
  • In the end we were only able to stay the one night, as my wife is pregnant and we had go home early. However the cottage was in a gorgeous little village, the host Tim was very friendly and accommodating. The cottage itself had lots of Cotswold rustic charm from the outside, however please bear in mind this cottage is very old and we felt in need of some updating on the inside (flaky paint, peeling wall paper, broken light fittings, landing light had a missing cover, old and dated decor). To us the cottage did not feel generally clean, neither of the upstairs bedroom radiators were working, the downstairs shower was broken and running constantly (however Tim did warn us that was a recent addition)but it was apparently still usable. The windows are the old steel framed type and due to their age won't shut properly, so most have a half inch gap allowing a constant draft (not great during cold weather, but wouldn't cause a problem in the warmer months). The beds were not the most comfortable, after trying the main double bed (which is very old), we found it very noisy to sleep in (Tim did again warn us someone else had made the same complaint), as it creaks very loudly and has a very soft mattress. So we retreated to the twin room, but unfortunately they weren't great either. Another small but niggling problem was that there were no small side lamps working (either in the bedrooms or in the lounge), and when you just want to chill out in the evening and watch a movie you don't want the ceiling light on. Two of them didn't have bulbs in, and the one bedroom came apart in my hand when I tried to switch it on. Very nearly had a hand full of live wires, it had obviously been broken for a while and someone had just balanced the top back on. The lounge sofa leaves a lot to be desired to, it is i'm guessing very very very old and is by no means comfortable (numb bum after half an hour on it), if two sit on it at the same time its like floating around out at sea. It is a shame as this cottage could be a stunning place to stay with a bit of general maintenance and updating.

  • We were greeted immediately by Tim, who lives right next door. Tim and Konstantina were very friendly and gave us advice on restaurants and directions to town. This would be a nice place for a family of 4 as there are two nice bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

    Christina2016-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay. The house was great and Konstantina was very responsive. We requested to check in early and as the house was ready she was incredibly flexible. Lovely location, just a short drive to Chipping Camden.

  • Good sized cottage with plenty of space, in good, very peaceful location, pretty village and lots to visit nearby. Good wifi signal! Helpful owner, and lovely welcome pack of fruit veg and bread. It is generally comfortable. But the decor could be improved, just felt a bit shabby and wallpaper peeling off in places. The kitchen definitely needed a good clean and clear out (drawers and cupboards felt a bit tacky to the touch and not all were clean inside), and would benefit from updating cooker and fridge at the least. Bathrooms were clean , shower a little feeble. Lots of books and pictures around which was lovely, and some nice old furniture. We enjoyed our time there , but felt it could be a truly beautiful cottage without losing its charm, if a few improvements were made.

  • I had a relaxing weekend in Konstantina's place. The house is big but cosy at the same time. Location is very good but I had a car. Easy access to the beautiful villages of Cotswold and only 20-30 mins away from Shakespeare's places and theatre. Freshly baked bread and fruits waiting upon my arrival were great and put me in a better mood. Thanks

  • Great house and great welcome from the host! Very cosy cottage, we had a good time :)

  • Lovely cottage close to tourist hotspots by car.

  • Unfortunately I only had a couple of days in this lovely 10 generation family owned cottage. I will make sure that next time I spend a lot longer here as it is a great place to stay. The cottage is situated in a little village which is well located as a base to visit the many local places worth seeing. The cottage itself is very charming and spacious. The hosts have thankfully not tried ( and neither should they ) to hide the fact that this is a well loved family home. I felt I was visiting friends rather than staying in some anonymous rental property. The Hosts are a great example of the best AirBnb hosts, truly warm and friendly without intruding. I did not have much time to explore the local area but the bits I did see were well worth a visit. The local towns provide all the daily needs and are well worth a visit. A great place to use as a base for exploring or equally just to spend some quality time sitting with friends , reading and relaxing etc.

A stunning, hand crafted cabin with your own private wood fired hot tub and wood burning oven located in the beautiful North Cotswold Countryside. A haven to escape to for couples and families from all walks of life. To truly relax you do not need to drive anywhere as we are just a 5 minute walk from the pretty village of Mickleton where there are 2 pubs, a village shop, post office, butchers, greengrocers and hotel. Mickleton is also home to the World famous Pudding Club.
The houses have been built to our own specifications and alongside the hot tub and cooker they contain a micro kitchen with cold water tap, 2 ring hob, fridge and ice box. There is also an eco toilet in the houses for your convenience. A large walk-in hot shower is available at the farmhouse a couple of hundred metres from the site and this is open 24 hours a day.
  • A beautiful little cabin in a wonderful part of the Cotswolds. We had a wonderful stay at this perfectly delightful cabin. Thoughtfully furnished and with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The hot tub was to die for, and the proximity to local amenities meant we didn't have to travel far for supplies or a lovely meal out. We can't wait to come back!

Nestle snugly in our peaceful light-filled cottage, tastefully decorated. There are two double bedrooms with large kitchen-diner and sitting room with open fire. Hidcote Boyce is a quintessentially Cotswold hamlet with convenient access to the area.
Hidcote Boyce is a very quiet hamlet set deep in the North Cotswolds. We are less than one mile from the famous National Trust Garden of Hidcote Manor (a lovely walk across two fields and you're there!); and two miles from the beautiful market town of Chipping Campden. There are some wonderful gastro pubs and restaurants very nearby and other recreations include famous Walking Ways, Royal Shakespeare Company theatres at Stratford upon Avon, (15mins away). Broadway, Moreton in Marsh, Stow on the Wold and other markets towns and villages all within very easy access.
The village is very small and quiet. We are two miles from the the next village which has a grocery store, a post office, two pubs. It is walkable but probably advisable to have a car to be able to get around. We are able to pick up guests from the nearest train station (Honeybourne or Moreton in Marsh).
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Judi's cottage. There was plenty of room for 4 adults - the downstairs looks bigger than the photos - and the cottage is full of homely and thoughtful furnishings, books and local guides. The welcome basket and pub recommendations were great. We really liked the Ebrington pub, the Kings Arms Inn in Mickleton and the Huxley in Chipping Campden. We walked almost everywhere so don't feel you have to drive! Judi was really welcoming and friendly and I can't recommend this spot as a quiet country getaway enough. The area is so beautiful.

  • We loved our stay in this picture perfect cottage. It is very well equipped, comfy beds, fluffy towels, huge selection of books and an amazing welcome basket including bread, juice & fudge! Judi is a great host, providing us with recommendations for sightseeing & local restaurants. The cottage is located in a beautiful area and is very close to many historic market towns. Highly recommended!

    Claire2015-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage which is more like a home is the perfect base to explore the Cotswolds. Judi welcomed us warmly and provided a basket of goodies to tide us over until we could get our own supplies. The Ebrington pub as Judi suggested is a must.

    Joanne2016-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had an absolutely wonderful time and we can't recommend staying here enough. Judi and her partner were the perfect hosts- even dropping off some emergency milk on the first day! They were incredibly welcoming and the cottage is lovely. Cosy, perfectly kept and in a beautiful part of the world. There is everything you need here for the ideal country escape.

    Clare2016-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at the cottage for 3 nights in January, with our 8 year old. The cottage was beautifully appointed, and cosy, and very well organised. Our son was far more happy in the cottage than a hotel, with its board games, open fire place and lots of different rooms, and it made the freezing weather an adventure rather than a difficulty. It was a beautiful old building with an amazing gate arch, in a tiny hamlet. I would love to stay again.

    Anna2016-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Full kitchen, two big bedrooms with excellent beds and linens, 1.5 bath rooms with loads of hot water and huge bath towels. Every amenity you can think of and all top notch. Photos and descriptions are 100% accurate. Located on site with the owners home but fully detached affords complete privacy with the security that the owner is close by. Delightful clean and modern cottage in the middle of the Cotswolds; so much to see within an hours drive in any direction. Sat/Nav and Judi's directions will get you there easily in this quaint but confusing part of the country. We stayed four nights (2 couples) and felt right at home! Highly recommended.

  • What a wonderful place! My daughter and I stayed here while we were visiting my grandmother in Chipping Campden and everything was exactly as Judi described. She went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable! A truly lovely place, both inside and out!

    Rebecca 2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay in this very homely and well appointed cottage. It is in a very central Cotswold location and there was plenty to see and do within close proximity. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. Thank you Judi for making us feel so welcome.

A cosy three bedroomed cottage, with woodburning stove and fantastic views from all windows across the working farm. We offer you a very warm welcome to Mickleton Wood Cottage and are always at hand if you need help or advice. The cottage has three bedrooms, one with a king bed, one with a double bed and the third has a single bed. We can accommodate a sixth guest using a pull out bed in the single room when required, this bed is not on legs and does not come up to the same height, it does make this bedroom a bit of a squeeze. This bed could be put in any of the three bedrooms if required.

Also Stratford upon Avon, Shakespeare's Birthplace and Cheltenham Spa, a perfect rest stop while at Cheltenham Races.
  • We enjoyed a delightful stay in this stunning property. The views are incredible and it is perfectly located in the countryside, yet walkable to village pubs! Immaculate and cosy, this place was a great springboard for local walks and a culture fix in Stratford. A great find.

  • We had a great time at Susie's cottage in the Cotswolds. She was very responsive - instructions to checkin and during the stay. The house was very clean and well decorated. We would recommend staying there for a quiet Cotswold holiday.

    Kamalesh2017-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • Susie is a fantastic host, very responsive to any questions and this cottage is a real gem. A beautiful country view to refresh ourselves away from city life. The welcome hamper on arrival is a lovely touch, the addition of a few gluten free items instead of what she usually provides was really appreciated by my gluten free family. Well located, we found this place an easy drive to Stratford upon Avon and Warwick castle (plenty of things to see and do to entertain our kids during half term). Our time here was relaxing and comfortable. We could easily have stayed a few more days and found things to do. The little local shop had everything we needed when we forgot that Waitrose closed earlier on a Sunday. Thank you for a fabulous, restful stay.

    Steve 2017-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at the cottage. It looks much better in person compared to the pictures. Very clean and comfortable. Kitchen was equipped with the essentials and there is a Nisa Local down the road at about a 2 minutes drive. Would definitely recommend the cottage, location and the hosts!

  • What a beautiful scenic spot. The house was well equipped and comfortable. The kids loved watching the sheep and horses in the pastures. The location was within 15 minutes to all the top scenic Cotswold towns and sights to see. Highly recommended!

  • We spent à very good night in Mikleton. Simone is a caring woman and a fantastic hostess . The bedroom, in the little house, is confortable and very well equipped. Nous recommandons vraiment cette adresse. Daniel

    Daniel2017-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely last minute couple of nights staying here in Simone's lovely little annexe. Everything was beautifully clean and cleverly well thought out to take advantage of the space. Excellent hot shower and one of the most comfortable beds I have stayed in. We had a delicious breakfast left for us in the fridge so we could help ourselves whenever it suited in the morning, with plenty of tea and coffee. The coffee maker was especially appreciated! The village of Mickleton is on the edge of the Cotswolds and not far from Stratford and many of the lovely little market towns and iconic villages that make the Cotswolds so famous, which suited us perfectly as we had a couple of days to explore the area. We ate in the evening at the local pub the Kings Arms and we would highly recommend the food there, especially if you are vegetarian, plenty of choice which makes a change. Thank you once again for making our stay so comfortable and welcoming.

    Rachel2017-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed one night in this lovely sunny room, which is a recently converted garage at the end of Simones equally lovely garden. It's compact but very well designed with a pull out table, fridge and excellent coffee machine. There's also a table and chairs and small Patio that you can use if the weather is good. The breakfast was delicious and Simone was a great host. Recommended!

    Ester2017-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • This has been our very BEST airbnb experience! The Annex was newly remodeled - very well thought out design. Quiet, private, clean and comfortable! A++

  • It was a treat to be the first guests at this lovely studio type room in Mickleton. Simone was so friendly, kind and helpful. It was clear that a lot of thought had gone into making guests feel comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the location house and garden charming. We would highly recommend this place.

  • The Annexe, within the grounds of the owner's thatched cottage premises, is perfectly situated for the Cotswolds in the lovely village of Mickleton, about 8 mins drive from Chipping Campden and within a reasonable walk across Heart of England pathways to the gorgeous gardens of Kiftgate and Hidcote. Whether you're wanting to stay in the area for business or pleasure, the accommodation is really comfortable, would suit one person or a couple, it's beautifully decorated, has space for one car alongside the owners, within a gated gravel drive, access to the owner's fantastic garden with a small table and chairs provided, flat-screen, wall-mounted TV, USB points on plug sockets, microwave, small, real coffee machine, kettle, fridge with freezer compartment, suitable crockery and cutlery and owner Simone provides an excellent continental breakfast left, each day, in the fridge - fresh juice, milk, croissants, butter, cereal/muesli, freshly chopped fruit and home made preserve. Simone is an excellent hostess with great knowledge of the area and will advise on where to go out to eat or buy basic provisions. There are some great pubs and eateries in the village of Mickleton, The Pudding Club being one of them, with many more in Chipping Campden, a short drive away. All in all, The Annexe proved to be a lovely, peaceful haven and it's position ideal to enjoy this beautiful part of Gloucestershire. We highly recommend it and look forward to a return visit in the autumn.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Simone's place - amazing what can be fitted into a small space. It was clean and tidy - the breakfast really fantastic. Simone was really helpful about the area. This short stay was just what we needed. We will certainly stay here again if we're in the area.

  • This is a secluded studio in a lovely Cotswold village that is surprisingly spacious. The living space splits into living area, bedroom area, kitchen area and dining area that are all open plan, and a separate bathroom. It's very rustic with wooden floors and exposed beams. Ideal for couples. The fixtures in the kitchen are fairly modern, the bathroom fittings a bit older. The property is accessed via wooden steps so wouldn't be suitable for mobility impaired. On street parking right outside was easy to come by. Katy's communications were excellent throughout and everything was ready for our check-in including clear directions that were easy to follow.

    Neil2016-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great apartment, good communication with Katy (the host) and wonderful little village. The apartment had everything we needed and is a great little space. We cooked meals and went out too. Bought ingredients from the local butcher and veg shop and there's also a little village shop for anything else you might need. We ate one evening at the Kings Arms which is a short walk from the apartment - food and service was superb and prices were very reasonable. Plenty of National Trust places in the vicinity if you're a member and lovely little villages too - Chipping Campden was lovely definitely worth a visit. All in all a great stay!

An en-suite room in a 400 years old traditional English farm house, cosy and nice, breakfast included. Excellent reviews! Long-term committed hosts.
Would you like to experience authentic rural England ? There is not a better location than an old Saxon hamlet originally listed in the Domesday Book in the picturesque rolling hills of the North Cotswolds. There is not a better place there than a room in our 17 century farm house with its original features - beamed ceilings, inglenook fireplace, AGA cooker. Our house imaginatively called 'The Old House', was built just after the chaos caused locally by the English Civil War in the second half of the seventeenth century. It has been updated a little since then though. This is a place for those who appreciate and respect the "old". This listing is for our Yellow Room with its own en-suite on a B&B basis. If your party is of four, we can also offer our other listing the Pink Bedroom ie two double bedrooms. Please request a quote, if you are interested in this option. In the summer you are welcome to enjoy our garden. We have more than 100 fruit trees in the garden of different sorts. These include many varieties of apples, pears, plums, gages, sour and sweet cherries, quinces - these are quite reliable croppers and sometimes we may have apricots, peaches and figs but that depends very much on the weather each year. We are only 35 minutes away from Cheltenham, famous for other things the horse racing festival held in March every year - including of course the Cheltenham Gold Cup.
Hidcote Boyce is a typical small cotswold village - it has not materially changed for the last three to four hundred years. This makes it relatively unique in a rapidly changing world.
  • Konstantina was the perfect host. The home was exactly as described, it was absolutely gorgeous and provided the perfect Cotswold experience.

    Sophia2015-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home. Wonderful hosts. Breakfast was great. Worth the trouble to find.

    Misty2015-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • Konstantina and Tim live in a very old cottage. It is completely renovated, but has still the characteristic beautiful details of the old cottage. The nicely decorated bedroom was comfortable and the rain shower was very nice. We were there only for one night, but the B&B deserves a longer stay!

    Hein2014-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience! The farmhouse is nice and cosy, and of course the hosts are very very friendly. The dinner was delicious too. :) I will definitely return for another visit in the future!

  • Konstantina and her family are truly amazing and warm people. Very ready to help ( I got lost and they came to rescue). House was beautiful and was so glad I booked with them. Amazing breakfast too :) !

    Dana2015-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • One cannot travel to Cotswold and not spend a night or two at Konstantina's place. Cotswold is a beautiful place with lots of green and patches of yellow flowers splatter everywhere, we had a wonderfully uplifting time driving from Lake District to Cotswold via Stratford. Houses are ancient and beautifully maintained. When we drove up to Konstantina's, we were so delighted that hers is among the best looking ones. It is also big and comfortable with a big garden full of fruit trees and vegetables. Her husband's family settled there for many generations. Cotswold it is. Konstantina is a wonderful host, she welcomes us like friends rather than guests, friendly and warm but not at all intrusive. There are plenty of space in the living room or the garden if you want privacy but if you fancy a hearty chat, head towards the kitchen to have a laugh with the cheerful host. It is a must to share a meal with Konstania. She cooks so well and the serving is huge and satisfying , she fed us with the main of our choice with two huge bowls of salad from the garden plus a good dessert. We could not finish the food. Breakfast was good too. Basically it is a good idea to stay at Konstantina's for 1-2 nights if you are heading towards this direction. Ten minutes drive to Stratford city for shows and other attractions, five mins drive to a National Park and 30 minutes drive to Biscestor. You will feel like you are staying with a friend; go sightseeing in the day and return to a comfortable home and meals at night. If you are too lazy to venture out, just stay around in the house, go lay in the garden or like us, dug the potatoes and pulled the carrots to carry with us to London before we left for a hearty pot of chicken to remind us of our wonderful stay in Cotswold. PS: Don't forgot to offer to pay the host for your harvest cos they do sell their products too. She rejected my offer though and offered me two heads of lettuce instead. Thanks Konstantina. We do hope we can come visit again. This time we will stay for a few more days.

  • We had a great experience in the old house. We arrived easily following Konstantina's instructions and, although we didn't share a lot of time with her, she was really kind to us. The house is gorgeous, our room was really comfortable and clean and last but not least breakfast was fantastic! Konstantina's aunt was lovely! We shared our stay with a couple of Australians and they were really nice too! I would really recommend this place for anyone that wants to visit England from the inside!

  • Claire and I highly recommend Konstantina's old house for your Cotswolds vacation : the house is charming with a beautiful garden, the room (including the bed and the bathroom) perfectly clean and comfy, and the breakfast copious and tasteful (ham and cheese, brownie, home made apple juice etc). Plus the old house is ideally located in the heart of Cotswolds, and is a perfect base for nice excursions ! We also want to thank Konstantina and her family for the warm welcome ! Be sure we'll come back with pleasure ! Pierre-Etienne & Claire

  • We had a wonderful few days at Honeysuckle Cottage and can highly recommend it. The cottage is in a good location in the village (next to a pub!) and is spacious, comfortable, with all mod cons. The kitchen is well stocked for proper cooking and the dining room is great for enjoying it. Robert was a perfect host. There was lots of helpful communication before the holiday and he was instantly available on the phone to help us get the TV working (user error). There is lots to see and do in the area, including a visit to Stratford upon Avon, Warwick Castle and great walks right from the door of the cottage is stunning countryside. We hope to be back next year.

  • We had a lovely few days at the much larger than expected cottage, our host was most accommodating and very quick to answer any questions I had prior to the stay. All instructions were very clear and easy to follow making our stay problem-free. The cottage is in a perfect location for nearby pubs etc and also for exploring further afield, and we hope to return in the future

Perfectly placed to explore the North Cotswolds & Shakespeare Country. Private suite with self catering facilities. Own entrance from garden terrace into sitting room/kitchen, through to bedroom (king sized double or twin) with en-suite shower room.
Walking distance from the Cotswold village of Mickleton, with it's two public houses, a country house hotel and restaurant, church, village shops and post office. A short drive to both Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon and the picturesque village of Chipping Campden, and only half a mile from the famous Hidcote Gardens.
We love this area, we have the best of both the idyllic countryside and culture right on our doorstep. Picture postcard villages, hosts of eateries, theaters, gardens, country houses, and even castles! Explore the area by country walks, cycling, car, or train.
  • Really lovely place to spend a few days. It was a very inviting set up with a starter set up of milk and teabags etc that was very welcome. The big bed was very comfy and my 6ft 6 hubby was very pleased. We had a lovely stroll round Hidcote and spent a very filling evening at The Pudding Club nearby. It was about. Twenty minute walk to Mickleton which was perfect after eating lots of yummy cake.

  • I would highly recommend staying at this farmhouse! Its location is the perfect gateway to the Cotswolds with lots of amazing countryside, towns, and sites nearby. The town of Mickleton is a short walk away so you get the best of both worlds in feeling that you are away from it all in the countryside along with being a ten minute walk from pubs and restaurants in town. Milly and her husband are extremely nice and helpful. Though the place is attached to her house it feels like its own apartment and is very spacious with all of the amenities you need. It was very clean and Milly's farm is very charming. All and all it is the perfect place to stay while in the Cotswolds!

    Matthew2016-05-21T00:00:00Z

Our home is a traditional countryside B&B with a friendly, informal atmosphere. Our guests from the UK and overseas enjoy each other's company, in the lounge and at breakfast, exchanging experiences and ideas for this area and the rest of the world. We are in the countryside, and generally not suitable for guests without their own transport. However, we have details of local car rentals for guests who want to arrive by train or bus and then hire a car so they can stay with us and explore the area
We welcome you into our home as a friend, and hope we can help you to enjoy your stay in the Cotswolds, with Stratford upon Avon 20 minutes drive. We are in the countryside, and unfortunately not suitable if you are using public transport. We have one large table for breakfast and our guests enjoy talking to one another. Our 5 bedrooms, double, twin or family are "home size" or larger, with wardrobes and plenty of drawers, tea/coffee tray, hairdrier and TV. Our GroundFloor double or twin rooms have Private (exclusive use by one room) bath or shower room (bath and/or shower, handbasin and toilet) 4 paces across the hall, and our Groundfloor Ensuites have shower, handbasin and toilet accessible from inside the room, all with powerful showers and plenty of hot water. Everything is on the groundfloor, with only a low threshold to step in from our car parking area, and no dragging heavy luggage up stairs. Cool in summer and warm in winter, with full central heating and a fire in the guests' lounge.
We are in the countryside with views from our breakfast and sitting rooms across the fields to Meon Hill. A short walk up the lane reveals the line of the Cotswold Escarpment and the Malvern Hills, and the public footpaths can lead you into the village or on a circular ramble.
  • Gene and Barry were the perfect hosts - sounds like a cliché, I know - but truthfully speaking I couldn't rave about them enough. Accommodation was wonderfully comfortable and very clean, Genè's breakfasts tasty (a yummy array of homemade jams and juices and full english). The location is ideal for a retreat but conveniently close to all other villages and amenities. Barry's knowledge of the area - showcased by the tour in his land rover is something NOT TO BE MISSED. You haven't seen the Cotswolds until you do the Barry tour. Genè and Barry made us feel welcomed - definitely a home away from home. Will most certainly be staying at the Brymbo the next time we're back in the Cotswolds. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

    Rose2016-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Brymbo. Gene and Barry were very welcoming and helpful when we needed information about the area and walks around it. The accommodation was exactly what we expected. Thank you Gene&Barry!

  • Made to feel very welcome by the Gené when checking in. A very homley feel to the accomodation which is not what I can say about all places we have stayed. An amazing and extensive library of local information on hand to cater for every type of want when looking to explore the surrounding areas. The room itself was clean and well presented. Bathroom was also absolutely fine for our needs and just a few paces along the hall. At breakfast time we were served a lovely cooked breakfast with lots of additional choices for drink and cereal/jam etc. All in all we had a great stay and would definately return if ever back in the area. Thank you Gené for making it feel like a home away from home.

    Tony2016-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • We appreciated all of Gene and Barry's help before and during our stay, which made navigating The Cotswolds easier. Gene made us an incredible breakfast each morning that we ate in the company of other travelers around her table, enjoying the chickens and little birds around the backyard. She also makes some mean English tea, which I am craving as I write this! If you want English hospitality and a true countryside experience, this is a wonderful option!

    Krisann2016-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • a classic and honest b&b. gene and barry welcomed us into their home and we immediately felt we had made the right choice. we managed to fit in so much during our short stay and that's down to their advice and suggestions which were excellent. gene's homemade preserves and bread, along with the English breakfast were delicious. i wouldnt hesitate to recommend to my friends. thank you for making our stay a memorable one.

The Cotswold Way is within easy reach for walkers, ramblers and cyclists. To the tourist, Mickleton is a village on the B4632 southwards from Stratford-upon-Avon towards Broadway and on to Cheltenham. To the gardener, it is at the bottom of the hill from Hidcote and Kiftsgate gardens. To the politician, Mickleton is (since the 1930s) the northernmost village in Gloucestershire, close to the borders of Warwickshire and Worcestershire: it is about 35 miles from Birmingham, 70 from Bristol, 100 from London or Cardiff. To the geographer, Mickleton is at the far northern end of the steep scarp which marks the western edge of the Cotswold Hills, from here to Bath: the village is at the foot of the scarp, where the hills fall away into the Vale of Evesham. To the north is Meon Hill (636ft), scene of the notorious ‘witchcraft?murder of 1945. To the historian, Mickleton was the scene of Brunel’s infamous ‘Battle of Mickleton Tunnel?(1852), considered the last pitched battle to be fought between private armies in England. Medford House, Mickleton Medford House, Mickleton High Street, Mickleton High Street, Mickleton Those with an eye for architecture will notice black-and-white buildings with thatched roofs (typical of the Vale) cheek by jowl with others built of the mellow Cotswold limestone. To those who listen to “The Archers? Mickleton is not far from Ambridge. Through most of the last century, the Vale has been famous for its fruit and vegetables: cauliflowers were a Mickleton speciality. More recently market gardening has declined: fields have gone back to corn or pasture: new housing estates have replaced rows of glasshouses. One family has bucked this trend by changing with the times: where two brothers used to grow fruit and vegetables, two more brothers of the next generation now grow ornamental plants. Their firm, Trade Only Plant Sales, supplies customers all around the UK and is a significant local employer. The village still has a Post Office, general food store, traditional butcher, garage and farm shops: it has two pubs, The King’s Arms (right) and The Butcher’s Arms. The Three Ways House Hotel is home of the world famous Pudding Club. Mickleton has an Anglican church, a Methodist chapl. Regular public transport services include the Hedgehog Community bus, which can also be used to connect with rail services at Stratford and Moreton-in-Marsh. Kings Arms, Mickleton Honeybourne is the nearest railway station at 3 miles. Mickleton also has clubs and societies offering a wide range of cultural, social, and sporting activities. Mickleton is a good place to visit.

  • What a special little place this is. Myself and my partner stayed for 2 nights while visiting the local area. We enjoyed two lovely evenings in the hot tub relaxing followed by a good night's sleep on the very comfortable mattress. Tanya was an excellent host and showed us how everything worked and made us feel so welcome. We hope to visit the area again in the near future and wouldn't hesitate to book Daisy's Den again.

We will defintley return... x

  • Tanya was fantastic at keeping in touch with us, she even emailed on the day just to finally confirm times. The location was simple to find, and after a short drive up a track, we were greeted by Tanya and shown to the cabin. The cabin is BEAUTIFUL. The hot tub and wood burning stove are very straight forward to get going, and Tanya is always happy to drop off more supplies of wood if required. The views are second to none and, despite the roadworks, we had a very peaceful stay. We were left to our own devices, however Tanya was only an email away if we required any thing at all. The town is lovely, we stopped off at the local butchers who were great. There are lots of walks that you can do and I highly recommend Broadway Tower - the views are phenomenol! Thank you Tanya for making us feel so welcome! We will be back!

  • We had a fantastic couple of days staying in the little house, which is utterly charming and very well equipped. We spent a lot of time in the hot tub which was a great treat, but the weather was too warm to fire up the stove. We were a good distance away from the farm, and it felt amazingly secluded and peaceful. Tanya was a great host, making us feel very welcome, and with some helpful tips about eating out in the village which we enjoyed. We are hoping to head back again sometime soon.

In the heart of the Cotswolds, recently converted from an old farm building in a contemporary style with inglenook fireplace and private garden with barbecue - perfect for all seasons. Within walking distance of a great local pub (The Times Best Village Inn 2017), farm shop and cafe in the pretty village of Ebrington. Our nearest town is Chipping Campden. Close to Dalesford and Soho Farmhouse, Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford, Cheltenham and countless beautiful Cotswold villages
The Apple Barn is a recently converted farm building which was originally used to store fruit and vegetables. It combines the traditional features of stone and oak floors and beams, with contemporary fixtures and fittings. Minimum booking is 2 nights. If you wish to extend a weekend booking at either end, please ask for discount details. The house can comfortably accommodate a large family or group of friends that don't mind sharing. There are plenty of extra beds available, but obviously the more beds you add, the more snug the accommodation becomes and the more people sharing the 3 bathrooms. There are 2 good sized ensuite bedrooms on the first floor and a further 2 -bedroom family suite with one ensuite bathroom on the second floor. These bedrooms are conjoined so they make up one large space and are therefore ideal for a family or people that don't mind sharing. The first floor bedrooms have king sized beds (5 foot). Bedroom 1 has a king size bed and a single bed. There is also space in this room for an additional fold up bed. Bedroom 2 also has space for an additional fold up bed, but this needs to be folded away during the day because it blocks access to the wardrobe when set up. The beds on the second floor are Queen (4ft 6") and three single beds. There is room between these 2 areas for an additional fold up bed. There is a large double sofa bed in the sitting room. Cots and highchairs are also available. I'm happy for up 12 people plus infants and pets to stay and there is enough room to seat 12 in the dining room, but it will make the common areas more of a squeeze, especially in the winter when the garden will be less usable. There are enough beds for 14 but you should be aware that the accommodation would be very snug if you had that many people sharing the facilities. Please note that the second floor bedrooms are accessed via a spiral staircase so not suitable for those with mobility difficulties or very young children (see photo) The ground floor is open-plan with a large sitting room, kitchen and dining room. There is a large inglenook fireplace in the sitting room with log-burning stove, TV, DVD player, iPod connectable stereo (via aux cable or old style jack) and football table. The kitchen is well appointed with range cooker, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, breakfast bar. and Smart TV. The dining room has a long refectory table with seating for 10 people. There is also a utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer and downstairs cloakroom. All rooms are served by wireless broadband. There are two outside areas. At the front of the property there is a lawned area with terrace. To the side is a very private circular terrace with dining area and parasol. This is a particular sun trap and effectively creates an outdoor dining room in fine weather.
Charingworth is a quiet hamlet on the edge of Ebrington. There are fantastic walks nearby, a great local pub and lots to do nearby. The house is in the Cotswolds but also very close tonStratford upon Avon, Oxford and Warwick. The house is located in the middle of the Cotswold countryside. This is a rural location and the nearest village of Ebrington has a farm shop and a village pub. We always knew that our local pub, The Ebrington Arms, was special. Apparently The Times agrees. They have given it the accolade of Best Village Inn and also listed it as one of the in the best summer pubs in the UK. The pub is a short walk away in Ebrington. It's open all day and serves lunch and dinner (booking recommended) as well as snacks at other times. It also offers a very superior take-away fish and chips service. We are very lucky because we have several really good pubs nearby. The Churchill Arms in Paxford also has to get a special mention. The chef/owner has appeared on Saturday Kitchen Live alongside Michel Roux, and his food is really excellent. A new farm shop and cafe has recently opened in the nearby village. This is about 20 minutes walk from the house and close to the village pub. Vegetable Matters offers 'fresh local produce and a warm welcome'. There are general stores in Chipping Campden and Shipston-on-Stour which are both within 4 miles of the property. There is a Waitrose in Stratford-upon-Avon which is about 15 minutes drive away. Ideally you will need a car, although, if guests prefer not to drive. they can arrange supermarket deliveries from Waitrose, Sainsburys and Tesco. The house is surrounded by beautiful rural Cotswold countryside with many public footpaths, including The Cotswold Way. There are numerous Cotswold stone villages and towns nearby, including Chipping Campden, Broadway, Upper and Lower Slaughter and Stow-on-the-Wold. It is also close to Stratford-upon-Avon and an ideal location for visiting both the theatre and this historic town. Oxford and Blenheim Palace, in Woodstock, are also only a short drive away.
  • We had a girly weekend away and the house was great - lovely big communal space and the separate dining room was great for entertaining. Lots of space and everything we needed, plus Stephanie was on hand with lots of helpful information before we arrived.

  • We have just returned from staying at the Apple Barn to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday with all our family. The Barn conversion is absolutly gorgeous, set in beautiful rural surroundings with fabulous views of rolling fields and farmland. It is quiet and peaceful and a perfect getaway for the weekend or longer. Stephanie was an amazing host, she couldn't have been more helpful. She always replied within an hour of any messages I sent her ,more often, immediately and was very helpful in arranging a babysitter for us on the Saturday night. She also put us in touch with a local chef who prepared and left a delicious meal for us all when we arrived on Friday. The Barn was every bit as nice as the photos surgested. The open plan kitchen and lounge is beautiful with lots of very comfortable sofas and chairs ,the log burner was great and was well used by us. The kitchen is beautifully equipped with everything you could possibly need to cater for a large family. All the bedrooms were lovely and the beds were amazingly comfortable. It was great having all the bedrooms ensuite and made it much easier with a large family. My two grandchildren adored their "sleigh" beds and actually asked to go up to bed each evening! I would thoroughly recommend the Apple Barn to anyone looking for a country retreat in beautiful surroundings. Many thanks from us all. The welcome cake was a lovely touch and much appreciated!

  • The perfect weekend getaway for a group of girl friends. Stephanie was incredibly helpful and on hand to talk to if we needed anything. The house is amazing with lots of space. We loved the kitchen and fireplace. The Cotswold setting is also idyllic with a lovely walk and pub just down the road. Would definitely recommend, thank you!

  • We Stayed at the Apple Barn for 2 nights to celebrate my fathers 60th Birthday and we had a great time! We drove from London on Friday night and were delayed due to traffic but Stephanie was very understanding and made herself available to welcome us and show us around when we arrived. Stephanie was a lovely host and left us to it unless we needed her. The barn conversion was brand new, and lovely. My favourite room being the cosy lounge with the comfy sofas and the beautiful fireplace and wood burner. The bedrooms were spacious and we needed for a comfortable stay. Would highly recommend it!

    Zorica2016-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • The house was cosy and warm with plenty of space for the 8 of us. Stephanie made sure we had all the info we needed and contacted us during our stay to make sure all was ok.

  • Great 3 level house - beautiful secluded back patio/garden. We had 6 adults and 2 children. Plenty of space and 3 full bathrooms and a 1/2 bath on the bottom floor.

Built at the turn of the century the cottage and showing many of the period features you would expect, this is a well furnished and tidy home. The heart of the building is very much the large, yet cosy and attractive, living room with its huge inglenook fireplace and old oak beams - warm all year round! Upstairs are two bedrooms and two bathrooms too. The cottage, along with the others that make up the 'Church Cottages' were once part of the church, which is hardly surprising given that the impressive St James church sits on the other side of the road...! Given its town centre location, you really are just a short walk from many pubs and restaurants. (Roadside parking close to the cottage). A great choice for one of the best locations in the Cotswolds. ACCOMMODATION Entrance through to hallway / lobby with space for boots and coats. Living Room with large sofa for three, armchair, Inglook fireplace with wood burning stove, TV with DVD slot. Within the room there is also a dining table and four chairs - ample space for dining comfortably. On street parking around the corner from the cottage (approx 20/30 yards away).
Chipping Campden is a beautiful historic town filled with charm and character, and rightly considered one of the Cotswolds finest and most attractive villages/towns. The Old Kettle Cottage location down the quiet end of the High Street makes it about a one minute walk away from the antique shops, pubs, restaurants and amenities that cover the location. We've always enjoyed our visits to Campden (as it is often called locally) and with plenty to do in the near vicinity, it's hard not to think of returning after your first visit. In fact Chipping Campden was recently voted the Nicest Village in England! Read more here in our Guide to Chipping Campden. There are some superb walks literally from your front door, with Dover's Hill a favourite. Depending on the timing of your stay, you might be able to encounter the Olimpik Games, Campden's own, historic version of games - including the infamous World Shin-Kicking Championships! As well as its own activities and shops, we do recommend you visit Broadway (10 mins by car) and also take in some of the Cotswolds finest villages all near by places such as Snowshill, Stanton, Hicote and Blockley are all well worth visiting - they're beautiful. Due to its central location in the north Cotswolds, you can enjoy the delights not only of this charming old wool merchants' town, but also the nearby surrounding shire counties of Oxfordshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire. From Blenheim Palace and the Cotswolds to the south, to Worcester and the Malverns to the west plus Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick (with the best medieval castle in Europe) all within an hour's journey.

  • What a great place to stay. A very well appointed apartment on a absolutely beautiful property. All the fittings were top class. The welcoming touches of breakfast supplies and other goodies, including fresh flowers were especially appreciated. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Also, suggest dinner at the nearby Howard Arms.

  • This is everything that you hope a cute country retreat will be... we spent two lovely nights here and it was just perfect. Antonia is an amazing host: there were candles, fizz and chocolates as we stayed over new year. There is Sky TV, beautiful bed linen and every cosy home comfort you could wish for. A little love nest in gorgeous countryside. We treated ourselves to spa treatments and lunch at Daylesford which is only half an hour away. Antonia provides delicious breakfast ingredients with huge personal flair - homemade granola and freshly pressed apple juice! It's the dream. We will definitely be going back.

  • Antonia made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. She had provided a lot of extra touches to make us comfortable with flowers in every room, candles and beautiful linen. The area was beautiful and Antonia provided a great list of eating places, shopping places, gardens to visit, villages etc.

  • The Coach House is a wonderful place to stay in beautiful surroundings. Antonia is a wonderful host, who was extremely helpful and made sure our stay there was perfect. She advised us to go to the Howard Arms for dinner, which was an excellent choice as it was a great pub with good food. The apartment itself has been finished to very high standards. The kitchen is stocked with all the essentials, including all the things you need to cook a lovely breakfast with fresh local eggs. There are a couple of things a five-star hotel could learn from Antonia about luxury!

  • We have just come home from a wonderful weekend stay at the Coach House. It couldn't have been more perfect. The place is truly incredible and the pictures do not do it justice at all. Antonia is a fantastic host and a really lovely lady. She provided lots of yummy provisions in the fridge and put beautiful flowers in the bedroom and sitting room areas that she had personally picked from her garden. Just gorgeous! The bed was so comfortable, we had the best couple of nights sleep. The shower was amazing too. When you drive up the driveway to the house, first impressions really are "WOW" there is a heated swimming pool which Antonia kindly let us use. - How lucky are we?! The gardens are beautiful and the staff there are really friendly. We met lots of 4 legged fury friends too. Very sweet! All in all we had the best weekend away in what we believe is a very special place indeed. A stunning part of the country and lots of exploring to do with beautiful walks and gorgeous little Cotswold towns to visit. Thank you Antonia, we didn't want to leave and we loved the Coach house and everything about it! - Best Air BnB for us yet!!

    Lucie2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Where to start. Antonia really has gone above and beyond to make sure that our stay was excellent. The coachhouse was cosy, beautifully decorated and equipped with everything we needed and more! I especially liked the coffee machine and homemade touches ! The bed was probably the most comfortable thing I have ever slept on, and would have quite happily stayed there for the duration of our stay! Antonia provided us with local walk recommendations and places to eat (The Howard Arms whip up a delicious Pub lunch, perfect for rainy days by the fire). Antonia, thank-you so much for having us! Best, Alex + James

  • What a beautiful cottage! We had the pleasure of staying here for a few nights, over the new year. The cottage was immaculate and extremely tastefully decorated (I've definitely taken inspiration from here for my own home!) The kitchen was well equipped with both a washing machine and dishwasher, and Shoshana ensured that there was tea, coffee and milk in the fridge. We weren't expecting the breakfast hamper which shows that shoshana goes above and beyond for her guests. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Shoshana, but her husband was extremely friendly and helpful. The guest handbook was full of useful information including recommendations for places to eat. Unfortunately we were unable to book any of the recommended places as it was New Year's Eve - but ate in a lovely, family run pub in nearby Mickleton called 'The Butchers Arms'. Pub next door to cottage was not so good for food, so would definitely recommend going slightly further afield. Overall, we had a fantastic stay in The Bakehouse, and hope to be returning soon! Thanks Shoshana!

    Amy2017-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is an outstanding little cottage at a great price! Shoshana is an excellent host, with a kind welcome and then leaving us to it but always there if we needed any help. The heated pool was fantastic, set in a lively garden. The location is great, right next door to the village pub!

    Tom2017-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • An absolutely fantastic stay that surpassed expectations. The Bake house is beautiful and the heated pool was a brilliant addition to the stay. Great hosts. Can't fault it at all and the super comfy bed fixed my bad back! Thanks Shoshana and James for a great stay!

    daniel2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was a wonderful place to stay--very cozy, great location, and a treat to swim in the pool! Shoshana was easy to communicate with and we'd gladly stay here again.

    Emily2017-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful place to stay if you are visiting either Stratford or the Cotswolds. So convenient for all the places to visit, and an absolute gem of a place to spend a few days in. The cottage itself is exquisite and beautifully furnished and equipped. As for the flower-filled garden and the heated swimming pool... what an extra and unexpected pleasure. I could not recommend the cottage more highly.

  • The cottage was in a great location. It had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Although Jeanne was off having a good time in France, her friend Rachel took good care of us. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to our friends and family.

  • A cosy retreat for a Cotswold stay. More of a homely environment than a show home. Good to have deparate shower and bathrooms. The extra sofa bed downstairs was both private and comfortable. Safe parking for two cars and easy walking distance into the centre of the village. Lovely small garden and summer house - perfect for evening sundowners.

The house had a lovely homely feel making us feel comfortable and able to relax with the children. The location was abosolutly perfect with only a sort walk into the beautiful town centre and great base for exploring the area. We would highly recommend jeannes place and would definitely stay again.

  • We had a lovely stay in Jeanne's cottage! The location is great -- a quick walk to the center of Chipping Camden or to the start of the Cotswold Way. A half hour hike from the cottage up the Cotswold Way gets you to a stellar view of the surrounding countryside from Dovers Hill. We especially loved having a meal out in the welcoming garden space.

Traditional, romantic, Cotswold Stone cottage with exposed stone & beams and pretty sofas & fabrics with a lovely log fire. Close to shops, pubs and restaurants (39 steps / paces to the high street), yet tucked peacefully away down a small snicket.
The Honeypot has a lovely ambience in this small but beautifully presented cottage. Two bedrooms upstairs, one double and a single. The single bed has a pull out trundle which can be used as a single bed to form a twin room or can be used along with the single to make a superking. When used as a superking, access is restricted to the window as the bed stretches from wall to wall with only a very small gap to the window. The bathroom has a slipper bath and a separate shower cubicle.
The Cotswold stone buildings in the town are stunning. The roof lines are all different heights and angles and the curved high street is beautiful. Locals are friendly and helpful.
  • Nice small cottage. Right in middle of the town. Clean. Kitchen is very small, but considering the price, very good value for a cottage in middle of Chipping Campden. Would highly recommend and would stay again.

I never get tired of walking down Chipping Campden high street as the buildings are so beautiful and every one is very different in its structure. It is blessed with some great cafes and pubs which offer good coffee and delicious teas. It has been voted one of the nicest villages in England
  • Had a lovely long weekend at Twine cottage. Tucked away in a beautiful row of thatched cottages, it really is a chocolate box English cottage. Rosie was a wonderful host, providing all information in advance so all we needed to do was turn up! The cottage is about 10 mins walk from the village centre but if you need a bit more hustle & bustle then moreton, Stowe and bourton are all about 15/20 minute drives and well worth visits. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend :)

    Lucy2016-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is a truly charming cottage in this "storybook" village. Quiet, comfortable and right in the old town center. Fabulous and highly recommended.

    John2017-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • Twine Cottage is everything you expect from a cottage in the Cotwolds: thatched roof, honey coloured stone, exposed beams, a rol top bath, a quintessential English interior, low ceilings (be aware!), roses in a small garden in front of the house, a quiet back street, etcetera. We hardly have anything to add to the former reviewers: as far as we are concerned, all the compliments are true... Chipping Campden has good public transport connections: bus connections to Railway stations in Moreton-in-Marsh (lovely village itself), Cheltenham and Stratford-upon-Avon, as well as to picture postcard Broadway. During the summer the frequency of buses seems to be lower, with departures only 3 or 4 times a day, but this still enables you to tour around the area quite conveniently. Apart from the hot spots we also recommend to use the guide of nearby walks that you will find in the cottage: smaller villages like Broad Campden, Paxton and Ebrington are real gems ! (with very good pubs as well). Although we did not have the pleasure to meet Rosie in person, communicating with her was easy, swift, generous and pleasant. We felt really taken care of. In two words: book now!

    Carla 2017-07-29T00:00:00Z

  • This is the cottage of dreams! Beautiful beams all over the ceiling and a bathtub to die for. Highly recommended to fully immerse yourself into the Cotswolds charm. Thank you Rosie for the great stay!

    Stella2017-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Even in February Twine cottage looked a picture, straight off a chocolate box. A cliche maybe, but absolutely true. Inside it also did not fail to impress. Excellent facilities, but loosing none of it's old world charm. It was a delight to stay here for a few days. Also set in a beautiful village built of typical Cotswold stone, & within easy reach of the rest of the Cotswolds. I cannot understand why it has taken me so long to visit here.

Thornton is a grade II listed property, built in the early 1800's. Centrally located on Chipping Campden High Street alongside other picturesque Cotswold stone houses, it was once the town's sweet shop! Our beautiful one bedroom apartment has been sympathetically restored to a high standard. • Will was very accommodating. We were unable to come on the date we booked the flat and he agreed to change the date for later. This is a wonderful and cosy flat. Well arranged with a highly comfortable bed. We arrived late and it was raining. We found the keys quite quickly but it took longer to find the door leading to the flat. It is the first door, from the corner. Apart from a Cooperative there isn't any chain in Chipping Campden All local shops and cafés. This was really uplifting. I can fully recommend this flat and Chipping Campden.

  • We had a nice stay at the cottage which is in a great central location within a 5 minute walk of lots of little shops and fantastic restaurants (would highly recommend Huxley's for breakfast). The cottage is cosy and warm and has everything you could need for a weekend away at hand. The cottage is old so the walls are very thin so be aware you can hear everything. Will was great at communicating prior to our stay and we had a quick and easy key collection.

  • Great base to explore Chipping Campden and area

  • Lovely cottage, located right in the centre of the village. Very nice finish and well looked after.

  • We felt cosy, warm and well looked after during a short winter break. Thornton is in a wonderfully central location without sacrificing peace and quiet. The Noel Arms pub grub was delicious in a friendly atmosphere and the local walks were very enjoyable. We would happily return.

  • This is a great location and a beautiful place, but if you are expecting a personal airbnb host this is not that as more of a professional business. However, you are left undisturbed to enjoy the property.

Chipping Campden is one of the most beautiful and historic wool market towns of the North Cotswolds. It is famous for the curving high street and mellow stone houses and sits in a fold in the Cotswold Hills, straddling the River Cam in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the surrounding countryside is breathtaking. The town has changed little over the years and is still the focus for much of the local rural community. There are a wide variety of restaurants and pubs and an excellent range of shops selling local produce, gifts and antiques. The town is associated with the Arts and Crafts movement and offers a wide range of attractions for visitors, including medieval architecture, historic gardens and monuments, regular markets and unique shops. There are also numerous beautiful, quaint little villages waiting to be explored within a short drive. Cultural events are held throughout the year, such as the Chipping Campden Music Festival, the Open Gardens weekend and the Robert Dover's Olimpick Games, described as “the first stirrings of Britain's Olympic beginnings”. Stratford upon Avon and Blenheim Palace, the birthplaces of Shakespeare and Churchill, are cultural gems situated nearby, as are the dreaming spires of Oxford. Cheltenham and the famous racing festival lie 15 miles away.
  • This apartment was exactly as described. We were given excellent directons and found it warm and cosy on arrival. Absolutely everything we could possibly need was there, including lovely extras such as a delicious cake, bread, milk etc plus lavender slumber spray for the pillows. We had parking, yet were right behind the High Street, with walks all around us. Chipping Campden is a lovely place to stay and enjoy the Cotswolds and we would deffinitely return.

  • Nicki was a great host, and the this small but perfect 1 bedroom (with car parking right a the front door) could not have been cuter or better set up. Perfect!

  • I would highly recommend Nicci's place, beautifully decorated with all the creature comforts to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The bread and cake that Nicci left were a lovely surprise. The location is perfect and apartment is lovely.

  • Lovely property in the center of Chipping Camden. Perfect for a romantic getaway. Nicci was hugely helpful and gave us lots of advices on restaurants, gardens and small villages to visit. She even had an amazing cake waiting for us upon our arrival. We had a wonderful stay!

    Margaux2017-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is a gorgeous little cottage in one of the most beautiful towns in England. Nicci made her best to have the cottage ready and warm for us. Little details like leaving a cake for us to feel welcome added a lot to the experience. We spent one of the best Christmas of our lives. We are very likely to return.

    Pablo2016-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Another wonderful stay. Thanks Nicci.

  • Beautiful cottage in a fantastic location. The messages we received before we arrived let us know everything we needed in advance. Lovely to be welcomed with lovely teas, coffee, fresh bread and chocolate cake. Everything very luxurious from the towels to the Molten Brown toiletries and really appreciate the host taking the time to send over restaurant recommendations along with advice on which villages to visit. All in all a fabulous stay!

    Katie2016-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We have just returned from the most wonderful break in Chipping Campden. The location of Jacinabox was perfect, with a large off street parking space. Nicci has thought of everything inside of the apartment, luxury and comfort everywhere. We followed Nicci's recommendations and ate in Michael's Restaurant and The Potting Shed at The Dormy House Hotel, both were excellent. Nicci kindly left a gluten free cake and bread and some milk, how thoughtful. This was our first 'airbandb' and it won't be our last. Thanks Nicci for a great stay.
